Um, the line on his back is right, as well as the lines on one of his tail feathers and his tail.
It's just umm... a really vague interpretation of doing thick stocking stripes or anything else you want to do as long as the stripes are thick and similar to stocking stripes, even if they don't fall in succession that way or are vertical or horizontal...
I was leaving a lot of it up to you.

On the lion ref, the stuff coming out of the gourd is sand. It's kinda splattered on the ground and sand is whirling up his paw.
The little wingies on his back legs should be more 'demony'. Pay no attention to the little wing on his back, that was a mistake.
