Mouse nodded curtly, showing that she understood what Jun had told her and was willing to help him. "Alright, I'm good when you are!" Her legs and arms shifted a bit, making a few small adjustment to her stance, clearly not worrying about her fingers - after having them almost-crushed numerous times by just as many machines, a situation like this didn't worry her in the slightest. She kept her eyes locked with the strangely intelligent chimera she was facing, not about to be moved by his acting but knowing that she should stay alert. It was a good thing she hadn't brought Mitya along, otherwise this scene would have become a bit of a disaster!

With a quick motion, Jun scooped Mana into his bowl and clapped the make-shift lid down on it. He had poked holes in it just in case (seeing as he and Jae had yet to figure out whether it breathed oxygen or had gills or both or what), and hopefully, it would stand up to some water since the bowl was nearly empty.

Finally having captured the mischief-causing chimera, Jun straightened up. Luckily for him, he was used to hiding his embarrassment. "I'm terribly sorry about all that commotion just now everyone!" Turning to the green-haired girl beside him, he offered a thankful smile. "And thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it!"

Upon capture, the chimera had turned it's attention to Jun with a look of annoyance, almost as though to say You may have won the battle, but NOT THE WAR!!!. It poked at the lid with it's nose before curling up in defeat at the bottom of the bowl. It eyed it's long-lost relative forlornly, not wanting to admit defeat.

Having gone home to drop off Cookie and to work, Aden has returned to join the fund raising festivity where he had discovered the Raevans.

Walking in blue velcro sandals, white shorts, and a simple blue button-up shirt, he approached the Beach Bar underneath the blazing sun. The walk was enough to leave him thirsty for the cold rush of a beverage. It seemed he was often thirsty when it comes to these hot summer days. Getting closer and closer to the bar, he pondered what would be a good drink...

Mmm... I'm sure anything will do fine! But I don't know what to get...

Aden ordered his drink decisively upon reaching the counter. Turning around to look at the happenings, something interesting caught his eye. There it was... a fox with butterfly wings! First it was half bodies floating around and now a fox with butterfly wings! If he told his friends they wouldn't believe him. Better yet, they'd probably just think it was part of some story or manga he was concocting...

As if I get called 'weird' enough, hah.

It seemed that there was a familiar green haired girl who had been helping with the little creature. With a drink in hand and curiosity enshrouding his mind, he made his way over.

"Excuse me, miss, but was that a real fox? With real wings?" he questioned the green-haired girl almost feeling as if that was a dumb question. Since Raevans existed, couldn't it be possible to have foxes with wings?

Of course it is... Jeez. I should ask better questions!

Mouse was the target of yet another question, and this one caught her off guard due to its content. Because... she processed the boy's words, and slid her eyes slowly over the the now-glowering foxfish in the bowl.

Yeah. This kid really was high.

"No winged foxes here, but that one has fins," she answered with careful, understandable articulation, pointing at the fish bowl Jun was holding. The last thing she wanted to do was anything that would aggravate or upset a someone who was on drugs. Things would get really nasty if he started flipping out or something.

She turned back to the supposed owner of the foxfish and said, "Hah, no problem. I deal with the same thing every time I need to give mine a bath." with a dismissive little wave of her hand. "And now I better get back to my post."

Upon returning to her side of the beach bar, she remembered that this place was supposed to serve food as well. The late arrival of the man who had volunteered for this job thankfully meant an extra pair of hands, and so she felt it was alright to focus on producing a few edibles for the 'buffet' portion of the 'beach bar buffet' while Dr. Kyou handled the drinks.

Rubbing his eyes, he got a better view of the fox. There were fins.

I thought there were wings... I'm not crazy! It's too late now. She must think I'm someone who dropped out of school and lives on the streets and is probably crazy!

"Everybody knows that foxes have fins! Haha!" he sheepishly pointed out in all it's obviousness.

Aden looked at his drink and wondered if the bartender had put anything in it... Hopefully nothing had been slipped in his drink. Other than that, the only thing to blame was his too imaginative mind.

With that aside, he really wanted to make sure he wasn't seeing things anymore. With an anticipating stare at the bowl, he wished to hold the little thing.

"Umm... Is it okay if I hold it for a bit?"

As Zave's eyes met Meli's he knew that settled things. They locked and he wouldn't be able to break away, not that he wanted to in the first place. There was a comfort with being by Meli... something a little wild there, but still... something that felt very comfortable. He could only barely make sense of the request before responding.

"Su-sure. We could share!" Zave said flushing a little at his stuttering. It wasn't like him to be this way normally. Still, it's not every day that someone like Meli offers to share a drink with someone. "Ah... her name is Tariel, Tari for short. She knows Laz pretty well it seems." Zave said motioning to the other two. Feeling odd that he was introducing people... but it was a small habit. "How are you doing Meli?" Zave asked floating a little closer, once again making eye contact with her.

Josh peeked back up at Mouse as she took her sweet time returning to her lackluster position behind the counter. The sudden calmness hanging about her actions completely undermined her previous rowdiness. She seem to amuse herself by making dainty finger foods and snacks. Josh propped his head up with a hand and called over the counter. “So did you help organize the event this time?” The boy considered it an innocent enough observation. The petite woman was the only person besides Dr. Kyou working at the event. Rather than the other events, where there seemed to be every owner and their grandma taking a part in the festivities.

Josh did take notice of the good doctor himself behind the counter as well. Apparently, he was the bartender. Interesting… The boy would have to rouse a chat with the illustrious man himself. But that would be saved for later. For now, continuing his discussion with the emerald coifed woman before him was more important.

Rai nodded, smiling as Chloe explained Roux's...attitude? Attitude was probably a good way to describe it. The brunette noticed a new pair approaching Chloe and Alex (was that another Raevan? It must be.) and was about to greet them when something tackled him out of no where. Rai hit the sand before he could even yelp. Oh dear gods above. The youth shot forward, scrambling out from underneath the stranger as quickly as he could, hauling himself to his feet and give the blond a strange look. "Um. Hello," he said, not sure what else to say when one was tackled so...exuberantly. By a complete stranger. "I'm Rai. And, um, yes, I'm new here," he said, nodding again.

Rai paused and looked around for the Gwee, half-wishing he had one more cookie so he could lure Zoe back. Torn between the attacker and Alex's other friends, he brushed himself off and looked towards the pair...oh wait. The Raevan had wandered away. Oh, bother. Better say hi, though. "Um, hello, uh, Isi?" Was that what they had been calling him? "I'm Rai!" he introduced himself. He blinked and looked towards the other male. "And...this is...um..." He'd forgotten to ask for his name!

Isi smiled as politely he could up at Alex. Well, he had never seen her in a bad mood (that he hadn't caused), but it was sure nice to see her smiling and smiling along with Chloe. Overall, Isi was in a fairly good mood considering that he was in public and all the things that had been happening at the Delaran household for the past. There was a rare smile gracing his face and he actually chucked once or twice. "Thanks Alex," he beamed happily, "I'll try my best to make it a good day."

Now, as Alex was politely distracted by a group with a kite, Isi took his chance to settle himself down carefully on the beach sand beside Chloe's towel. When Aphi was to come, he'd probably bring a towel that Isi would eventually need if he were to spend a majority of his time on the beach. For now, he'd just sit on the sand. He carefully slipped his arms out of the loops of his crutches and he laid them down neatly beside himself. Turning to Chloe, he smiled warmly and asked, "How are you doing, Chloe?"

Then suddenly his attention was snagged by a stranger he hadn't noticed before. Furrowing his thick brows at the young man, Isi forced a smile (he was terrible at first meetings) and asked, "Um...I'm good. And you? Who are you again? Rai? Um...Pleasure to meet you. I'm Isikoro Etul Delaran, younger brother Aphisemt Delaran and guardian to Eirdirsceol here." He gestured to his raevan who was now meeting a new raevan.

Eiry, on the other hand, wasn't preoccupying himself with where he was going to sit. He, gave a brief glance at Alex and Chloe, gave a huge ear to ear smile, before he turned to the advancing raevan and gave her a big smile as well.

"Halloa! We are same-hearted. Who are you?" asked Eiry, completely forgetting that he should be polite and introduce himself first. He was more interested in this new face right now than manners.

Once again unsure of what to do, Chris looked around, not wishing leave, but still feeling very awkward. Then Chris noticed what Mouse was doing. It involved one of Chris's defining joys in life. Food. Chris had loved food all her life--maybe not every single kind of food (her spiciness tolerance was rather low), but she loved it all the same. Many people had often said she would end up like a blimp if she didn't cut down on her eating, but it hadn't happened yet. And hey, this was party, so gosh darn it she might as well enjoy herself!

Cierra had already noticed what had caught Chris's attention. "You might want to wait a bit on that," she said to her roommate.

"Why?" Chris replied, a bit confused.

"Because of this," Cierra said, passing over the pie eating contest sign up sheet.

Taking the paper from Cierra and reading it over, Chris bit her lip. Sure, she loved to eat, but she had also had some experiences where she had eaten too much and been moaning about it the rest of the night. But she had always wondered what it would be like to participate in an eating contest, and there was a chance she could win a prize....

"I'll think about it," she said with a small smile, handing it back to Cierra. And so Chris held back on the food for a little bit longer, just in case she did decide to participate in this "pie eating contest".

The buffet slowly began accumulating a small variety of snacks, tempting those who might be saving their appetites for the upcoming pie eating contest. And it seemed that Mouse was going the extra mile to make sure that some of them tasted just right, as she had to pause to swallow a bite of food and take a sip from her club soda before answering Josh. "Yeah. I called up Dr. Kyou about having a beach party this year and he was all over the idea." Her voice rang with clear enthusiasm and a touch of pride. "Werika and Sevilin helped out too." It sounded like Josh had been to Lab parties before, so she thought it was possible that he might recognize the two names.

Instead of giving her name right away, the eagle girl responded with a question. "Same...hearted?" Her head cocked to the side a bit in confusion. This was her first time meeting Eirdirsceol, and she wasn't the fastest of learners when it came to vocabulary, so it was natural she was a little bit confused at first by his eccentric way of speaking. Neither of them had enough of a chest to possess a fully functional heart yet, so why would he be saying that they had the same one?

RoChan had wondered over to the event list sipping on her cup of water a bit more delicately slowly reading up on the events that were planned. They all had perked her interest but she doubted she would be able to join in on all the events so she had been narrowing it down to one or two while keeping an ear open to the conversations floating around. Her sharp ears latched onto the smooth sound of a rather handsome man who seemed to be the late barkeep. Actually as RoChan got a better look at him she found him to be that more delicious. Oh ho ho! Maybe wearing the bikini would be worth it after all!

She delicately scribbled her name onto the paintball and limbo event sheets before considering making her way through the crowd to the bar. ’Dang… I hope no one has busted my inner tube!’ The silent thought ran through her mind as she spotted a tiny speck of the yellow and white polka-dotted inflatable through the mass of legs and ribbons.

Straightening her shoulders she tried to as much as possible make her way over without bumping into too many people. The problem with that mindset meant that she was going to bump into someone or something. Her bare shoulder knocked into what felt like a block of ice with a little more force than she had expected. Her fair skin quickly prickled with goosebumps and with her teeth slightly chattering she apologized to the boyish torso with a (wait was that a crown?).

“Forgive me your highness…” The mumbled words slipped out of her mouth before she had time to stop them while she stared in bemusement at the crown. Taking a look at the crowd around him she saw more faces of people she didn't know, although Mouse seemed to be producing delicious looking treats.

"Oh, those look good." She eyed the latest masterpiece with glittering eyes.

Aki followed Lucretia obligingly, returning Roux's wave with a twiddle of her own fingers. As soon as they were close enough, she settled a hand on Lucretia's shoulder....in part to be friendly, and in part to demonstrate to Roux that the new Raevan was, in fact, approachable.

"Roux, it's been a very long time. This is Lucretia, a friend of Melisande's! She's been wanting to meet you. Lucretia, this is Roux." Letting her hand slip back to her side, Aki leaned past the Raevens long enough to snag her new drink...leaving a hefty tip in its place. "I'm not certain, but I think the two of you share a love of the cold, which is something we appreciate you sharing." Aki waved a hand in front of her face to demonstrate, only now reaching a comfortable temperature despite her skimpy suit. Taking half a step back, she swirled her drink and watched, giving the Raevans a chance to accept the introduction.

 Or not.

Taking a look around, she spotted the dark haired Raeven girl scanning the crowd. She gave a quick wave to Lucia, motioning her over as well. "Darling! Yes, you! Would you like introduced?!"

 Sand n' Stuff

Pasha took a tiny sip before passing the drink to Zavier, cheeks still pink with sun and the pleasure of good company. She bobbed a bit in the air as she was introduced to Tari, and nodded to Laz. "Tariel is a beautiful name. And...it's good to see you again, Laz?" Melisande silently hoped that they had indeed met before, and that she wasn't just confusing him for another Raevan.

"Do you like the drink? It's a col-ah-dah!" She pronounced the word carefully once Tariel accepted the drink, trying to remember just the way Aki said it. Though she didn't intend to, one of Meli's hands snuck into Zavier's of its own accord, as though it was the proper place to be. Her fingers were still cool from the frosty drink, and his hand was warm and wonderful in hers.

Meeting his eyes again, Meilsande offered him another smile, the silent kind of smile that told someone exactly how glad you were to see them. "How am I? Hmm. Happy." It didn't take long to decide. "Is there...something fun here? Or were you ready to relax?"

Now that he thought about it the little foxfish didn't seem friendly. There is a reason that it is confined underneath the bowl. It appeared that it was better to leave it that way, too.

Aden realized he was holding an empty cup whilst beginning to feel the summer heat. Fanning himself with his shirt, he attempted to cool down.

Is it me or did it get hot?

The sparkling waters at the beach sure looks nice right about now... Before heading off towards the soft sands and hopefully cool waters, he picked up a drink from the bar.

 ---

With some sand trickling in between his foot after each step, they left Aden feeling warmth and a bit of a tickling feeling. Upon reaching the edge of the shores where the water heaved up and down, he place his sandals along side him leaving him barefooted.

He sat down gently against the sand and let his feet touch the waters as it would come up only enough to soak them completely. Sipping on his drink occasionally, he felt more at ease. And while he wasn't out chattering amongst the rest of the crowd, it left him to be with his thoughts.

Even though my friends are all out having a blast somewhere far, I'm having fun too! I've met some wonderful things called Raevans and I'm meeting new people... Despite that some may think I'm crazy...

With a soft breeze brushing against his short black hair and his gray eyes surveying the voluminous ocean, a smile was bestowed upon the crashing waves before him.

Overhearing a few Raevans, he couldn't help but take a glance. There he saw the beautiful Raevan mingling with others he had met earlier.

 Melisande was it?

Josh tapped him fingers rhythmically on the cool surface of the counter. They were strumming up a rhythmic tempo, something similar to the current song baring on the speakers, by the time Mouse responded. Josh’s voice rang clear and draped warmly over the woman, “Well, my hat is off to you for planning such a great event,” His eye glistened with a competitive shimmer, “Anyone who is willing to incorporate paintball into a Lab festival is a friend of mine.” Yes, he already knew about the numerous contest this event promised. Every eent the Lab hosted seemed to be teaming with attention grabbing thrills. The fact that the advertisements and flyers made a grand display about the copious competitions also helped. Bolded and colorful words on flyers proved fascinating to Josh.

The boy looked puzzled briefly, his eyebrows knitting together, “I have heard of Sevilin, but not of a We’rika…. Are you Sevilin’s owner?” Again, Josh made harmless inquiry.
