The Illusionist nodded.

"It was my choice then to help and my choice now to help. Just ask."

((I'm not going to go over the whole unite-the-prototypes plan again, since anyone reading this through doesn't want to hear it repeated too many times. Is that ok? I can modify it if you want.))

Aeulia outline her ideas briefly. She didn't cry this time, thank goodness, but she felt her pulse rise. Surely this man must understand? Surely, he could see the future she could?
"...Will you join me? I need all the help I can get."
There. Finished. Now all that was left to do was sit, and wait.

Dimitri ran thorught the alleyways between the barraks, he entered the officer's quarters area and serched there places, he stopped in one and found several files of different prototypes, including himself and Aeulia's, he grabbed them and turned to leave, but there was a man with a pistol in the doorway.

Altair smiled, "well look who I found sneaking around in my room, Dimitri "shifter"...what a honor" he said mocking, he raised the pistol and hit a small red button near the door, alarms started to go. "your not going to make it out of here alive" he said.

Dimitri ran forword and smashed into Altair, he didn't stop to fight, he ran as fast as his modified legs could, heading for the fences, gun fire started, the bullets aimed at him, one round hit him in the shoulder, another skimmed his cheek, but he kept running, he jumped the fence and kept running, the shots started to fade, then none at all, but Dimitri kept running and didn't stop until he was in the city.

The Illusionist smirked as he paced about the small area in front of the bench. He scratched at his head as he thought.

"Hmm. Unite the prototypes and go after those that chase us huh. Take the fight to them. How naive are you? Do you really think that the people you're suggesting we take on are just going to open their doors for us. It's going to be next to impossible to get into any of their bases, let alone disable them. I mean hell, even my Illusions aren't fool proof. What're you crazy?!"

He smirked again as he turned to look at her, for a moment he looked right in her eyes and nodded.

"Maybe I like crazy. Count me in."-

Aeulia's heart lept. Throughout his speech, she'd been totally captured by his charisma, and really had believed she was going to be let down again. However, she hadn't. She wouldn't have to do this alone.
She met his eyes, and grinned widely. "Name's Aeulia. That's A-you-lee-ah" She said, extending out her hand to shake his. "And your name is..?"

"well if you like crazy then you'll love me" Dimitri said, as he walked into there veiw, with his left hand he was clutching there files he dropped them sending some paper scattering. "...our files...or atleast what I grabbed..." He said, he changed his left arm into a long pair of tongs and reached into his injured shoulder and yankied out a small bullet and dropped it to the pavement with a series of quiet pings.

(( Sorry for my prolonged absence. ))

Caelan woke in his apartment. He had found himself near his building at some point during the fight. Annoyed, he just had gone to his apartment then to sleep. Caelan stood up, and looked around his room. It was a small room, and practically barren. Caelan went to the small fridge and pulled out a carton of milk. He drank it all in one setting, and threw the carton in the recycling bin. Caelan grabbed his jacket and stepped out the door. He lived on the ground floor, so he just walked down the hall and exited the building. He walked down the street, bored out of his mind.

The Illusionist smirked. He hadn't given anyone his real name in a long time.

"Before I was The Illusionist you mean. My name was Robert. I was a doctor at the General Hospital. So, I guess that's why they made me a medic."

"Dimitri?" Said Aeulia, slightly suprised. When she said she'd been certain they'd meet again, she didn't mean so soon. Ignoring the files strewn on the ground, she ran up to him, and lookd at his shoulder.
"And I'd only just finished bandaging that up earlier! I did tell you not to go fighting for a while, give yourself time to heal..." She sighed. "But... Thank you. Am I allowed to fix it up again?"
The Illusionman spoke, revealing to her his name, and a snippet of his past for which she was thankful. But...
"You remember your past?" Aeulia queried, frowning slightly. "But... How?"
Bending down, she picked up hers, Dimitri's and Robert's files. She handed them each to their respected owners.
"We were mind-wiped, weren't we? I thought.... Did you..."
No question about it. This was strange. Prehaps he had already seen his own file, so that would mean... Her past was in these pages. She looked down at the small brown file.
"But where did you get these anyway, Dimitri? I'm guessing it was under heavy security."
((XD She's asking lots of questions, without waiting for answers. Oh well. Just assume she's being polite biggrin ))

"actually no, I found them in a officer's quarters, he must have been reading about us to figure out our weakpoints" He said, he opened his folder. The first page was basic infomation Name, Age, height, weight, He first looked at his Name"Dimitri "the shadow" Bladeheart...wonder what the nickname's for" he wondered outloud. He turned the page to the biography, the kept refering to him as subject but he ignored it then about half way throught he came to a line that he stopped: Subject Dimitri is exclent in both stealth and outright combat but this is no surprise given his criminal profession. Then it went on to list a series of robberies and murders done by Dimitri "...I'm...a criminal" he muttered quietly to himself, slightly surprised.

((Dun Dunn DUUNN! eek ))
"Dimitri..." Said Aeulia softly, but her voice failed her. He didn't seem that shocked, sure, but for someone so clearly fighting for justice and good, it wasn't going to give him any closure.
She looked at the file in her own hands. It was almost repulsive that an officer she didn't even know could read up on her life, whilst she barely knew anything about it. It was brown, vaugly creased, and smooth in her hands. It weighed slightly in her hands, causing her to wonder how meagre her life could have been before to take up so little space.
Why am I making such a big deal out of this? She thought. Why is my past so important to me?
So what if it wasn't pretty? So what if there wasn't much of it? She wanted to look, just briefly.
Opening it, she flicked through. Fairly boring pages of tiny text that used long, complecated words that she doubted were even spelt right. Finally, she found the biography page.
"Hey!" She said, suddenly. "I'm at least three pounds lighter than that!"
Inside was the usual; height, weight, date of creation (5th December), classifiation, the usual. Finally, she found something:
Quote:
Project Regenerate's powers incline in the direction of the medic profile, as do all our subjects from the General Hospital, where the subject was aquired.

She nodded. It wasn't too bad. There was more, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to know.
"Look, Dimitri, it's not important what we used to be, ok?" She tried to meet his eyes. "We're different now from whatever we were in the past." Looking down at her file, she shut it abruptly. "Whoever I used to be is dead. She died when she was experiamented on, and turned into one of us 'prototypes'. What I am now... Is what matters. For all I care, you could've been an alien. It doesn't change anything."
Why aren't you looking at us? Why are you shading your face?
"Do you understand?"

Robert shrugged.

"They hang those pictures of deceased doctors on the hospital walls. I was walking through one time and saw mine. I have no idea about any other part of my life."

He opened his folder and read through the first page slowly.

"Hey, I'm part German. Interesting. Classified as Apathetic. That's so wrong, i'm just calm."

He flipped the pages and read through them silently. Nothing extravagant. College degree, few past jobs and then something else.

"Those bastards...I have a son and wife, or I did."

He flipped the pages to the pictures of his son and wife. Under their pictures was the word, Disposed. Each page had a date of death set at the same time as he was taken.

"They...killed them."

Dimitri kept reading, and found a few clippings from various newspapers. Thefts with no clues as to the person, murders with no traces of a murderer, it seemed lik Dimitri was good. "well...it makes sense...have someone who's good at what he does, give him some powers and let him do his job but with a purpose..." he mummbled.

Dimitri wasn't listening to her; talking to himself as he read the heavy file in his hands. Behind her, Robert's revelation took place, and she realised why it was probably a good thing she decided not to keep reading that file. To know that people you'd cared about died because of you... Could be classified as one of the worst feelings in existence. Aeulia should know.
Why can't these folders bring us any good news? She thought, angrily.
Quietely, she let the other two men have some space, to reflect. With little else to do, she studied the information she'd recieved so far.
So Robert and I were at the same hospital... Does that mean we knew each other before this? If there's walls of deceased doctors, it's not easy to guess that others could have been taken. But what if I was a patient? Would they take one of them?
She looked down at the file, remembering the goggle-eyed officer they'd fought earlier.
That someone like him could get their hands on this... Is sick. Our pasts are our own, and yet they keep it from us.

Dimitri stopped at the last news paper artical, a front page story the title read: Nortious criminal put to death.
he didn't bother to read the artical the fact it was included in his file was enought for him he sighed and closed the folder.

Altair came to "damn...I knew he had super strength but...damn..." he got to his feet and walked over to his desk. "oh crap..." the files were gone. Damn it he got the files, by now there probally have already read them...not good...there not supose to know there pasts because they might return to those old lives...or whats left in some cases He thought.
