Selvfølgelig is a hard word to pronouce. Hence why most danes say seføli. With the 'l' a tad long.

...Koko... You're making me sound more evil than I really am sweatdrop xp

I've never heard anyone say (or try to say) it any other way, so as far as I can tell, that's how it's pronounced. I've never had any issues saying it.

You also said you needed to work on grammar so her eyes don't bleed. I'm guessing that's what she's referring to.

Speaking of which, I think what you meant to say was:

Det eneste jeg sagde var, at "selvfølgelig" er svært at udtale.

You can't use "alt" like that, you need to make sure your tenses match, and "hard" is English. If you meant "hård," that's the opposite of "soft," not the opposite of "easy," and you need to make it an adverb by adding the t on the end.

Are you trying to say all the letters in selvfølgelig? It's really not hard that hard to say it correctly, since most of the letters aren't actually pronounced.

hard is also norwegian
It kept pronuncing it as "selfølelig" but since I bought my course I can pronounce it.

The whole 'hard to pronounce thing'...
I had a friend over from Arizona last summer, and he found it strange that we pronounced 'ikke også' : 'igå'. I hadn't thought about it before he said anything.
Also, living in Århus some people pronounce 'håndklæde' (towel) : 'hångklææde'.

... And 'broen' (the bridge) 'brååen'.

Gawd, I hate it when people do that.

meh I hate when southern americans talk with their "drawls" ugh I want cut their voice boxes out
ie: Y'all don't come back now ya hear?" (translation : Goodbye)
They don't even say "you all" it's always "Y'all"
and we Utahns say "Mountain" as "Moun-en" and we can't tell the different when talking between "our" and "Are" we pronunce them the same

That's exactly what I'm referring to. But he's improved.

And I believe he was trying to say "Alt jeg siger er etc" which translates to "All I'm saying is..." which is correct in English, but not completely in danish. 'Mean, you can say it, but in very rare correlations.

Y'all come back now, ya hear?

There's no don't in there. It's meant to be very friendly, and it doesn't translate as goodbye. It's more like Apu's thank you, come again. For what it's worth, I don't think I've ever heard anyone actually say that when they weren't making fun of something, and I grew up in the south.

I don't understand having a violent reaction to an accent or dialect. We all talk they way we were taught to.
