Godfrey gave a nod to Josh, letting him know he was alright. Frey was there for support anyways, to be a cheering section. Today was all about Josh, and he was going to be there for him as best as possible.
"Hi, Reg. And really? Thanks! Now I shouldn't get crushed when Josh plays and everyone goes crazy." Godfrey grinned. "Then again we're about the same size, and you seem to manage alright, s'pose I can handle some trampling."
Godfrey snuck closer to Josh, slapping him lightly on the back. "You're already awesome, Josh! If anything they'll scream because your hair's so perfect."
Josh's hair was rather awesome. He'd done it himself.
"I'm going to find that seat, okay?" Godfrey smiled Josh, then Reg, understanding they may want a few moments to talk alone before Josh went on. Plus he'd need a bit of time to get through this crowd, which was only thicker up front.

Yeah, you'll be fine up there. Crowd's really not that hard to control, you'll see.
*Rakes his fingers through his hair, glancing around before eyeing Josh's guitar.*
Been alright?

Josh lifted a brow, looking around trying to figure out what Reg was looking at. "Uhh... yeah, I'm great actually. You look better, too. Got your metal back and all." Josh leaned in, tugging lightly on the metal in Reg's lip.
"Errr, but whose that..." Josh restrained from pointing. "That women next to Angelo?"

Godfrey had already slipped off and found it somewhat easier to slip through the crowd this time- but he was small, maybe they thought he was Reg.
"Hi." Godfrey said simply as he approached the front, squeezing his way through to a fold up chair a bit behind America. He felt a bit awkward sitting with them without Josh, but figured he'd be seeing enough of them that now was better than ever for getting to know them a bit, or just hanging out.

"Oh... yeah, I remember. I read the article, too, but it seemed kind of... over dramatic? Guess it was pretty accurate though... thought they were just adding stuff for effect. Didn't take you for such a drama-king there, Reg." Josh watched Reg, his smile widening. "Is that why you aren't smoking right now? Sucks."
Josh stared down at Reg for a few more seconds. "You really do look better though. I'll go uh... set up." Josh made his way towards the stage, taking the guitar out and setting the case down where there was free space. He stood with his guitar in place, thinking how to properly stare down the busty woman who was currently center stage.

*Avoids looking in Sadie's direction, instead glancing over the gathering crowd that filled the club behind the table; a majority of the people there were fans just ******** around, but she saw a handful of doe-eyed kids with guitar in cases, and some tattooed bastards with theirs sprawled across their laps*
*Pauses when Godfrey takes a seat*
Hey, foxears.

Gimme a ********' cigarette. *Irritated as he shifts in his seat to get comfortable, knows it's irrational, but also enjoys the ability to get angry at this point.*

Godfrey smiled to himself, watching the Coversluts talk and horse around in the seats in front of him. He was suddenly happy Reg was rather short- it made it easier to see Josh lurking on the side of the stage.
The woman who was currently on stage, whatever she was doing, Godfrey hoped she'd move off very, very soon. Either that or maybe he could set her panties on fire just a little bit to encourage her to move along. In the meanwhile he started playing with a hole in his jeans, sitting quietly and watching Josh as if he could telepathically communicate words of love and encouragement directly to his brain.

The woman seemed to finally get the hint that not a single goddamn person was listening to her babble and went off to flirt with some less famous folk. Josh rolled his eyes a bit at her retreat, sitting in the chair that was in the center of the stage. The lights here were the brightest, and he tugged the mic closer and adjusted it for his height.
It was hot, and he knew he was sweating, but he tried his best not to focus on it. He ran a hand over his mohawk, took a deep breath. "Hey, hey! Could we all maybe shut up for a second?" The mic made his voice louder than he anticipated, but it worked, because the crowd seemed to stop for the most part and turn their attention to him, except the few people too drunk to understand. "There' going to be some actual music." Josh let the air out his nose, playing a few test notes on the guitar as he spoke.

*Sneaks his cigarette case from Sadie, taking one out and leaning over as Lo offers to light it. Five cigarettes a day, this was his sixth.*
So, what Actual music are you gonna play for us, baby?
*Hollers so he can be heard, taking a drag from his cigarette as he holds it between his fingers.*

Lifts a brow, leaning in close to the microphone so his voice was even louder. "Believe it or not, I was getting to that part, Reg." Josh grinned, licking his lips. He couldn't tell what sort of mood Reg was in, but he was hoping it was about to improve.
"I'm going to do The Red by Chevelle." Josh cleared his throat, turning his eyes from Reg and the others to his guitar. For this song at least he wanted to look at his hands as he played; made it harder to mess up that way. He took a pick out from behind his ear and started. The mic was loud enough that the guitar could be heard loud and clear. Josh sung, staring down at his hands the whole time. He couldn't be sure from this close up but he hoped his voice didn't overpower his playing too much.
Thoughts ceased and he focused on the song. He could pull this off, had to.
They say freak,When you're singled out,The red, well it filters through.
So lay down, the threat is real, When his sight goes red again. Seeing red again, Seeing red again.
This change, he won't contain, Slip away, to clear your mind. When asked, who made it show,The truth, he gives in to most.
So lay down, the threat is real, When his sight goes red again.
Seeing red again, Seeing red....
They say freak...When you're singled out. The red, it filters through...
( Here's a really awesome acoustic version of the Red. )

Godfrey sat at the edge of his chair, his hands gripping at the seat of it. He loved listening to josh sing, loved to watch him play anything. But he tried to be as objective as possible while watching the performance, his heart feeling like it was beating along to the tune and no faster.
Josh might get a few points off for staring down at the guitar, he thought, but Godfrey felt as if he'd nailed the rest of it. Maybe there would be more people with playing experience, maybe they were better singers, maybe they even wanted it more. But Josh was meant to be a musician and his heart showed through the melody and the lyrics in a way Godfrey didn't think the others could match.
As soon as Josh finished Godfrey stood up and whistled as loud as he could, giving a cheer of 'Go, Josh!' and uncaring if he was the only one doing so.

*Watches Josh with a slight frown, disapproving of his lowered eyes, but otherwise in favor of his performance*
*Glances at Reg, aware that his irritable attitude was something of a game; getting snappy because he was comfortable and liked being snotty*
