Yep that is true and it is kind of long but not as long as the Knights of the round summon form FFVII.

Summons can take way too long to do some of their attacks but they are nice to watch. With some of my FF emultor games I can just make the game speed 4 times faster if I can't be bothered to watch xd

I only have F4 on an emulator but the summon scenes are only a few seconds long in that game

Yeah the thing just shows up attacks and disappears. No Flashy entrances or nothing.

Yar but I like a nice long cutscene. It's dramatic! Truly summons deserve a dynamic entry.
Mind you I never used summons much so I didn't need to put up with them alot

I remember in FFX you had the option of either
1. see full flashy summon scenes 2. see the shortened summon scenes 3. don't see any of the summon scenes

Yep and I always had mine set on the shortend setting because I was always short on time.

I think you could on some versions. The dark aeons aren't even on a lot of FFX versions
