"Hello, nice to see you too, umm, my name is Katie. I'm not sure if you know this, but on Earth we humans wear more clothing unless it's summer, do you need help with your clothing or your hair?" Katie said, she didn't know the angels name, and was kind of annoyed that the angel just ignored her completely.

"Maybe you should bathe as well, no offense but you have a sickly smell, and It's a bit irritating." Katie said trying not to offend the celestial being, not knowing whether an angel needs to bathe regularly.

As Melody was about to put her foot onto the first step and appear into the view of downstairs, she looked up to the other voice. It was Kaite; the one friends with the demon, but she figured that the girl had no idea of that fact. This one seemed a bit lost of the whole situation, and had been one of hte ones begging to come in earlier, if her fogged memory served right. Most of what happened when they came to this place, once they left that automobile, was mostly a blur. She wondered if that was normal for humans in pain, to forget things like that.

"Oh, Ms. Kaite." she said, hoping the name was right. Upon hearing her information, it sort of clicked finally, some sort of miracle that it did, and the angelic girl turned a nice shade of red. She nearly went down there like this.......it could have offeneded the others!

"O-Oh dear! My apologizes; I did not realize such things (well, except the smell, but not much I can do on that)! Unfortunately, the information on humans that I know so far is very little, and I guess that would include your manner of cloth choice." she said with a nervous laugh, as she looked at the two a bit surprised. She would love the help very, very much (especially the smell, but she knew not how to work the machinery), but...........

"I appreciate your offer on helping me, I would love it very much, but I wouldn't want to bug you with such things. You probably have more important things you have to do, and I've become enough of a burden as it is. I couldn't ask more than you all have already done for me....."

She walked over to the a side of the upstairs wall, which had no wall so you could see below. She now looked at the sleeping Zack as she spoke, leaning over the rail a bit and her wings giving a small flutter.

"I mean, how can I be able to take care of my charge Zack, if I can't even take care of myself properly? I've always thought you humans lucky, especially you, Sarah-" Saying this, she turned red again and turned back to them, rubbing her head very quickly for a moment in embarassment. Aaaah, where was her brain today?!

But, she decided to continue; things like sensitivity seemed to work better with women than with men. Even in heaven, women were more understanding of these things of feelings. But she turned her gaze to the ground and began to move some little fluffball on the floor with her feet.

"Abababababababa! U-Uh, I mean that you can be able to see Zack alot, take care of him, and make him happy. Like when you brought blueberry muffins to him this morning, he looked excited! I can't count the number of times he's smiled around you." Melody said, and grinned a bit herself at the image of his wide grin. "But.......I have only been of great help once, but that ended up turning against me, as well as him. I've watched in the shadows and worked as what you humans call 'behind the scenes', and I was forced to either be ignored by him or glared at by him, which was to protect his sanity. It couldn't be helped, but I still couldn't help but feel sadness in me. Actually, Sarah, you'd be much better as his guardian angel than I would. Even if you had to adjust in Heaven, I can picture you doing wonderfully!

But when I was first told I was standed on Earth, while most angels would be furious I........." she paused, and smiled warmly."......was, and still am, happy. I would be able to make up for lost time, and get to know my own charge better. At least, if I can learn the ropes. I honestly fear being more of a burden than of a help to you all, seeing as I can't even dress myself properly or fix my hair correctly. Heaven and Earth have completely different ways of things." she ended with a worried sigh. The fluffball looked interesting again, and she turned her gaze and foot back to it for a moment as silence lingered for a moment.

"But if it would help my Zack, I'd learn it all.

..............................!

I MEAN MY CHARGE, ZACK!!!! Ooooh dear, why am I skipping words?! Do human mouthes break?! Am I more damaged than I thought?!" she suddenly asked herself aloud, looking around with a panicked expression. What would that sentence alone have meant, anyways? Did that even compute in human terms? She heard "charge" in her head, but it didn't seem to come out of her mouth that time. Why was that?

Sarah stood and listened to Melody explain things. She really did have no idea about what she was not purposely doing, making Sarah jealous so suddenly. Was it just her, or did that angel downstairs not know much about the human world either? He seemed really interested in Strake, and because Melody told her and Zack that Strake was a demon, Sarah didn't wonder why. Looking at Katie, Sarah did wonder whether or not she knew.

As Melody went on, Sarah started to feel piteous towards Melody; she didn't even get angry when she referred to Zack as "her Zack". It was a mistake, and Sarah knew this. Looking down at the blanket she held, she decided it a good idea that Zack's guardian angel should be the one to put it on him. She did feel a little angry at herself for making such a decision, but what could she do? It was obvious that even Zack would have preferred his guardian angel to do it. (She wasn't awake at Zack's outburst, and didn't know that he was rather annoyed and confused with the whole situation.)

Putting a hand on Melody's shoulder, she smiled. "We can help you look presentable for Zack," she said. "I could lend you some of my clothes, and maybe tomorrow we can go shopping for clothes for you."

A girl friend! Glancing at Katie, maybe Sarah was lucky and got two girl friends. It would be such a relief after hanging around so much testosterone for so long. Tristan may have been gay and girly, but he was still a man.

"I'd have to take you to the main house, though," Sarah said, thoughtfully. "There isn't really any grooming supplies here in the guest house." She then looked at Melody, and it suddenly hit her that Melody was wearing clothing earlier. "What happened to what you were wearing earlier?" she asked as she opened the door to the bedroom the angel had just come out of.

Melody wasn't sure what she had excepcted from their reactions. Each human reacted differently to different things, so it was in all honestly impossible to guess. But she was surprised to see that it wasn't anger. It was....friendliness, compassion, if you wanted to put it that far. Sarah had offered a kind smile, willing to help her out. "T-That's very kind of you, Ms. Sarah. It really means alot to me." she said with a smile in return. She had heard some things about how girls would give each other 'makeovers' by making each other look pretty with experimenting with different Earth objects; was this the same thing?

But at the sound of possible shopping, which hit the angel a few moments after it was said, Melody.......clapped her hands together in sudden excitment, a broad grin on here face that looked...well, girly. "Oooh, shopping sounds like a wonderful idea as well! It's one of the things in heaven that is in much conversation, so I've heard a great deal on how much fun it is for girls to all go shopping together. Always wanted to try it myself, and Alphaline seems to have many of these places of shopping. Normally, I'd be more on the declining side, but since you are all on what humans call 'summer break', it allows you more time in the day." she said, making it sound better for herself and for them. It sounded perfect; she'd be able to know more about Sarah and/or Kaite, and learn about Earth.

"I must sound so silly to you two, getting all excited over exchanges-"

Her expression dropped immediately when a thought occured to her, though. That's right; shopping was exchanging clothes for....

"O-Oh, wait....but I have none of your human currency, and I don't want to take yours when you need it for living stuff: food, housing, etc.. Maybe another time." she said, and decided just to drop it, although surprisingly she was slightly disappointed. Maybe once she had some currency of her own it could work out.

As she noticed that they would need to go to another location, Melody wondered how far the 'main house' was. "I could fly you there if you'd like; it's fairly dark out and quiet on the streets, and-"

But she noticed the conversation suddenly shift again as she heard the door open. Melody turned in curiousity, and was surprised to see that Sarah was going into the room with the dangerous creature. Sure enough, it was still under her dress; one could see a small lump flying around underneath it, making a moving lump on the dress.

"A-Ah, Ms. Sarah! It's much too dangerous!" Melody said worriedly, and followed her over to where the black-and yellow winged stinger lay beneath her dress.

((LOL Melody's a girly girl at heart. xd ))

Sarah blinked at Melody. Dangerous? "Why? What's in here?" she asked as she lifted the dress and let loose the little bee. Hopefully this wasn't what Melody was talking about being so dangerous, but it was also understandable.

"Did it sting you?" Sarah asked as the bee twirled around, wondering if there were any flowers nearby. Sarah didn't want to tell Melody that bees lose their lives once they lose their stingers; she didn't want to cause any distress. She held up her hands and tried to steer the bee out the window. "They usually are harmless. He probably thought you were some gigantic monster intending to harm him. He was just defending himself."

Hopefully, as the bee flew out the window, it would die peacefully in a patch of flowers and pollen. Good thing it didn't die in the room, else Sarah was positive it would've caused Melody grief. Sarah remembered a long time ago, back when her family had a dog, that dog jumped up and snatched a butterfly right out of the sky. Sarah was distraught for a month, but ended up forgiving the dog and understood the he just wanted to play with the butterfly.

Still, the image of watching an innocent creature die was more than an innocent child could handle, and that's exactly what Melody reminded Sarah as.

"It's safe to put on your dress now," she said, closing the window.

((That butterfly thing actually did happen, but it was my brother who freaked out instead of me. I didn't see it happen...o.O But he also forgot about the whole thing after 10 minutes. ))

Melody watched in a sort of awe as Ms. Sarah just shooed the creature out of the window (where chances are the thing came from to begin with), like it was no big deal that it was in the room at all. Melody herself still wasn't sure what it was, but it probably wasn't important. The issue had passed, and she had enough to worry about as it was.

"Hm, that's understandable. Most creatures have some sort of defense mechanism, so the black and yellow flying thing's one must have been to sting. Strange, I didn't make any sort of move to show harm......they must be sensitive." she shrugged but still wondered if all creatures were that easily distressed. It was gonna be a long road if they were. "I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble, Mr. Creature." she called out after it, as it flew away and out of sight.

She nodded her thanks to the girl as she grabbed her nightgown and put it back on. It still smelled funny, a mildly strong unplesantly odd aroma or something. Apparntly, human clothes were supposed to smell after one slept for a long time; perhaps that was what it was.

"If this 'main house' of yours is far away, I can fly you there if you'd like. Since the festival doesn't start letting out people usually for another hour or so, we should be fine in the cover of fast-approching darkness." she said, fluffing out any wrinkles in her nightgown.

((Aww, that's sad. At least he got over it quickly. My dog is too scared of creatures smaller than himself, for some odd reason, so I can't picture him leaping up into the air to snag a bug. xd ))

"Maybe we should wash you gown." Katie suggested, after seeing the look on Melody's face when she put on her gown. "Maybe you should also bathe, Sarah could probably teach you about the machine's in the bathroom, unless you already know." Katie said, she could smell Melody, and knew that she must be uncomfortable. "I've got to go downstairs, I'll be back up in a little while." Katie said, then bowed, and left down the stairs.

((I've not been able to get on as much lately))
PostPosted: Thu Jul 24, 2008 4:49 pm

Melody turned as she noticed Kaite say something to her. Oh dear, she must smell worse than she realized if Kaite could smell it without being right next to her! She nodded; she might take that advice.

Down below, the telephone rang a few times, before going to the answering machine. It was the voice of Sarah's neighbor, Mr. Peter, who was a good friend of her dad. They worked at teh same job, and earlier they ahd gone to get some shopping done.

"Hey Sarah; it's your neighbor Scott here. Just wanted to call on behalf of your parents and say that they won some sort of spa contest at the mall, and were whisked away in some contest winners truck and they called me earlier saying they're having a great time and that there's nothing to worry about. You should've seen their faces; I don't think they even remember entering! Poor guy; your dad needs a vacation anyways........well, they're gonna be gone til tomorrow, just wanted to let you know incase you were wondering why they're still out shopping. So, good night, and don't throw any late-night parties!

Then the phone went off, signaling the end of the message.

((Good lord, I've missed quite a bit. Fortunately, it was mostly the girls all chatting. =P))

Amadeus, who was still invisible to those who lacked Sight, was silently standing behind the young men playing Rock Band. It looked like a rather silly game. All it required was copying some notes that scrolled down on a screen so that one was given the illusion of actually "playing" well-known human songs. Amadeus figured that anyone who actually wanted to be good enough to play songs should go out and learn how to play a real guitar. However, he did admit to himself that perhaps not everyone had the time to learn how to play a guitar. Still, though... a silly game.

He had sensed the two females in the house go upstairs and approach Melody. Unlike with Strake, Amadeus felt that the girls were not intending to harm the young angel, so he didn't bother to follow them. As time passed, however, none of them had come down, and Amadeus had heard some scuffling upstairs. While he hadn't sensed any serious distress from either of the two mortals nor from Melody, the fact that their meeting was taking a long time concerned him. Obviously, it hadn't occured to him that girls talking to each other tend to chat for a long time. So he was beginning to grow somewhat worried. Amadeus quickly decided that it would be better to check out the situation and realize nothing had occured was better than assuming nothing had occured only to discover later that Melody was in danger, so he began to make his way up the stairs, certain he would find a harmless situation, but prepared for something worse.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 27, 2008 4:48 pm

Sarah folded her arms, and thought for a moment. Flying would be a good idea; it would get them to her house faster, but what if her parents were driving home? It would freak them out more than it did the band in seeing an angel. Another problem is Sarah's fear of heights. She barely could stand it in a plane! How would she be able to cope with being flown down the drive way?

She sighed. "Well, if we're to leave, we should do it as soon as possible." She handed the blanket to Melody, knowing that she would want to be the one to put it on Zack before they left. "Once we're all done cleanign you up, we'll come back here and eat dinner." She walked into the hallway. "I wonder when Priest Charles will be back?" she asked to no one in particular.

She stopped at the top stair to wait for Melody, and because she noticed Amadeus walking up the stairs, which annoyed her slightly. Didn't he trust that Melody would be safe with her? What could a lowly human being like herself do to an angel like Melody? Then again, Sarah didn't know if Melody could be harmed not. She figured no, since she's never really heard of a human harming an angel before.

As Amadeus reached the top of the stairs, he saw the girl known as Sarah standing in the hallway. He noticed that when she caught sight of him, her facial features darkened. It wasn't very visible, but angels like Amadeus were rather adept at picking up slight changes in the way people held themselves. It was part of his job. However, while he was able to see that Sarah had ill feelings towards him, he was unable to see why. He was an angel, a bastion of light and goodness, working in His name. Why would a mortal such as Sarah hate an angel such as himself? Especially a mortal who possessed Sight should be happy to see angels, since those with Sight were usually devout to the side of good. There was only one way to find out.

"Greetings, youngling." He said quietly. "You seem unhappy to see me. I find this troubling, especially since it is my duty to God to ensure the safety of those on Earth, which includes you. Surely you would be glad of my presence?"

((Bleh... not very long, but I figured Amadeus needs to get on good terms with Sarah, and the only way that can happen is if he understands her thoughts and she understands his actions.))
PostPosted: Sun Jul 27, 2008 7:00 pm

Sarah's features softened as Amadeus spoke. She was making things too complicated, and the sudden feeling of not being needed anymore was helping in that. That wasn't this other angel's fault, nor was it Melody's. Things happen for a reason. First Zack gets a guardian angel who, unkowingly, swoops in and steals her place in Zack's life. Now there's this angel who came up to check on Melody. He might not have said that, but she could tell that's why he was coming up. Melody was an angel, and an injured one, and he was worried about Sarah being up here for too long...

"Sorry," she said, equally quietly, looking at the banister. There was no way she would be able to voice her thoughts. "Why wouldn't I be happy to see you? I'm just a little overwhelmed at the sudden appearance of angels within the last hour or so." She looked up and smiled. This was the truth, no doubt. Why were angels coming out all of a sudden?

Because of Zack...?

((She doesn't know that she the Sight, so she thinks everyone else can see Amadeus, like with Melody. ))

As Melody had followed Sarah to the top stair, she blinked in surprise at Amadeus was coming up the steps to check on them. THe angel noticed the slightly cold features come up, and Amadeus also noticed this, and actually had both teh nerve and courage to point out such a thing. Sarah then relaxed a bit; she must be so-

Wait...........wait a sec.

She could see him-WHAAAAA?!

Running up to the girl in a sudden burst of speed, Melody blinked repeatedly in surprise at her, over and over again like some child watching a magic trick.

"You..........you can see him?" she asked, almost in awe. So Zack wasn't alone, and neither was she. Priests automatically had Sight; it was like a package that comes with the job. But Sarah and Zack............they were not priests. They were normal teenagers.

"Do you know what this means? Hooray, you have the gift of Sight and stuff too!" she cheered, clapping her hands together and refraining from doing what humans called a 'jig'.

((Mel's gonna break it to her now. xd ))
PostPosted: Sun Jul 27, 2008 11:08 pm

Amadeus blinked in confusion. What was Melody talking about? Of course Sarah had the Sight. Surely she already knew that...?

And then he realized that perhaps she didn't. Perhaps she assumed that everyone knew that Amadeus was there and everyone knew that Amadeus was keeping an eye on them... in Sarah's house. It almost hit him as hard as a metaphysical sack of bricks. Sarah felt obliged to be the hostess of this odd group of teenagers, and along comes Amadeus and takes her job. She assumed that everyone else knew he was doing it, which was probably why she was so angry at him. Or maybe he was reading too deeply into the whole thing. Still, though... Melody brought up a good point.

"Sarah. You... you do know that not everyone can see angels such as myself, right? Melody is a different story... she has been humanized by the arrow and as such is visibile by all. But not me. Only fellow angels and those with Sight can see me. Likewise, they are the only ones that can hear me. To all of your friends- well actually... I should say most and not all, since I don't know how many others possess the Sight... to most of your friends, I am not here. They do not know that Amadeus L'Coutre even exists. But you do. It is a rare gift, friend. Be careful with it."

"Why are you girls being so wierd, do you have an imaginary friend together or something, or is there a telepathic thing going on between you that's creating the absence?! Please answer me, before I go insane." Katie began to freak out as the conversation became completely out of comprehension.
