I need a little advice on something please.

Do you think it's irrational to be angry over this situation:
On Independence day we went to Moosehaven and my boyfriend went with us as well as his roommate. My boyfriend saw one of his friends from high school and she came over to talk to him. This is how Brian introduced everyone, "This is my Roommate Chris(Indicated to Chris) and this is Sarah and her family (pointed to me and my parents)" Then he said nothing about who she was.

He said that he's talked to her before about how I'm his girlfriend but considering my name is so common (one year there was a different Sarah in everyone of my classes), I could have been just another friend. And why was it so important to indicate Chris (not the chris you know) as his roommate?

Though my mom's reaction to it was mildly amusing when she told me what she wanted to do about it. She was even more pissed than I was and if she didn't care about causing a sceen she would have gotten up and decked him.

First i have some questions to clarify.

Ok, how did he introduce her? Did he make any other gesture besides pointing, like when indicating Chris did he just point with a finger or a hand..and with you and your family?
Two, have you asked him?

For Chris he guestured full hand, palm-up and for me and my family he pointed with one finger.

I asked him about the not calling me his girlfriend almost immediately afterwards and he said he just doesn't normally think of it since most of his friends already know his girlfriend's name. And the other day when I brought up what my mom said and mentioned that it hurt me too, he just said that it's not that big of a deal and we're being irrational.

...hmm. Ok, irrational I don't know, but slightly emotional, but its well placed. Granite this is coming from me who recently has been reading on the different personality types, but. Have you tried telling him that you not only felt hurt by the words and the gesture, but pushed away and don't understand. If so, and I've just misreading things. Another thing you could do, but I'm not sure how it would work, but it would allow you to understand him better and why he did what he did without actually having to ask. If you were to print off a personality test, without the name of the test or the site you got it from you would understand him better. After he answers the questions you could enter his answers in and work from there.
its ann odd answer, but the test will ask questions, and let you get to know him differently.

I keep telling him that a few of the things he does makes me feel pushed away but again he just tells me I'm being irrational and insecure.
I may have irrational tendencies on occasion but I'm not that insecure.

I might try the personality thing. Any suggestions on which to use?

This is the one I've used multiple times. I have a book too.

The test http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp

To interpret the four letters http://www.personalitypage.com/high-level.html

This way you can figure out more of what is happening.

By taking it yourself, you'll understand yourself, too.
