"You staying alive is your payment if you truly think that you owe me anything," said Jason as his eyes darted from one way to another. His hood was still up, hiding his upper face in shadow as he continued to look around. "What about your hawk? Is it alright?" Jason looked towards the wolf as it bowed but didn't say anything. It was new to him to see a wolf actually bow towards a human... Though it may not be uncommon for others but none the less it was a bit surprising as well as unnerving. Jason turned his head back forwards as he said, "Your welcome... I think..."

It was his own mistake that he wasn't able to protect Liah the way he would have liked. Bowing to a human wasn't something a prideful wolf would do, but when it came to Liah and her safety, he would do it to compensate for his lack of action. Damon stood and continued to be on alert for any new attackers that might still be lurking about.
Asteria watched Liah nod and motion above their heads to where she was perched on a dead branch. She, too, was upset that she hadn't noticed the lurking wolf in enough time. Though, she had seen the knife fly from Liah's hand. It was Liah who had saved herself from the undead creature. It was then that her sharp eyes caught a glimpse of the hooded figure's face. Normal eyes wouldn't have been able to see the abnormalities of Jason's eyes. In fact, she thought they were similar to a creature's eyes. And not a normal creature either.
"She's fine." Liah said great fully. "My companions can take care of themselves. It's a good thing too, 'cause I certainly wouldn't be able to protect them. They protect me if anything." Smiling, she patted Damon once more and glanced across other fighting adventurers.

Jason saddened as he heard that. "Almost like a family huh... Must be a nice feeling," said Jason as he shook his head to rid himself of his feelings. His past was starting to come up again and it was pretty much not a good time for it either.
There was an image of him hiding in a brush as he watched a knight fight a dragon, but before he killed the beast, the dragon let out a blinding light from it's mouth. Unfortunately for Jason, his eyes were unprotected as they were looking directly at the flash of light, blinding him. All he then could remember was stumbling around until he felt the scales of the dying dragon...
"Aaah," cried out the blinded boy as he stumbled backwards, falling upon the ground. There was a weakening breath coming from the dragon he had touched as it started to wheeze in Common. "Boy... What are you doing here?" The child was startled at this as he started to get himself to his feet. "Who... Who is there," asked the boy as he fell to his feet again, unable to get his balance without sight. "Your blind? Must be from before... Child, as my race starts to diminish, and as I start to fade, I shall bestow upon you my eyes, so you may see the very fears that we dragon's have lived with for centuries..." With that, the Dragon gave it's last breath and Jason, having crawled to it's nose, received the eyes of the dragon.
Later that day, he returned home but his parents screamed in terror seeing that their child now had the eyes of something unwanted. Casting him out of the house, swords and bows threatening his life, Jason was sent out of the village having been shunned for "making a deal with a devil." Jason managed to take a bow and a few arrows with him but with that, he had grown in his archery abilities and gained strength to carry on... One thing that he had always longed for was a family that was willing to take him in.

As the fight continued the warriors were about to get a very unpleasant surprise. As the un-crushed skulls hit the ground they continued to move, semi leaping towards those that had decapitated them.
The upper half of one of the wolves who's spine had been cut dragged itself across the ground, searching out more prey. Gia was about to get the worst surprise. The flames from the blast had only served to remove and burn the last remainders of the beasts rotten flesh, along with pissing it off. Through the remnants of the fire the beast lunged at the girl.
Ramiel sigh slightly as he crushed one of the skulls moving towards Zen under his boot"Maybe I should have been more specific, when I said go for the skull and spine I meant crush them"

Gia's eyes held their glow, but the blast spell had failed which caused her to fly backwards a moment from the wolf she was attacking. She would rush forwards again only this time taking her sword into hand. Her body seemed to move with an unyielding flow ignoring any burning her own body had taken from the flames that didn't miss her from the spell. The fact of the burns meant nothing as she placed one hand over them, but the other was firmly grasped on her sword meant to smash the skull of the wolf attacking her. Streams of her silvery blue hair was flowing wildly for a moment, her magic was going nuts within her body as if to react. Her wings even showed this as she impacted her body to force the wolf back and with all hopes to smash the wolf's skull in away from her. The blade of the sword was targeting the wolf's spine, while the hilt was bent on smashing the wolf's skull.
Gia would again fly backwards away from the wolf though, one arm hanging at her side while the other grasped the hilt of her long sword. Amethyst eyes were glowing while silver wings seemed limp for a moment. Her clothing didn't seemed burned. Right hand had shown obvious signs of being burned, but face showed nothing. The gentle personality had to be hiding while the battle personality had control. "I feel something amiss.....", her voice came out as she was still on edge on whether the wolf she was battling was truly gone or not. If it wasn't she'd fight till it was, she wasn't herself.

Seirei shifted, a clawed leg had grabbed him when he turned to see what was happening with the others and he wasn't about to get caught by pieces. His foot stayed on the ground but the part the paw was grabbing onto turned into mist and a blade came through, smacking the limb away before his leg returned to normal. He glanced back at the group, most of which seemed to be alright but the girl he'd spoken to was rather spooked, or so it appeared. He slid his blades back into their holders, which were pretty much belt loops. "Everyone alright?" he asked, scanning for anymore sentient limbs nearby and when he saw none he relaxed.

Sintariun noticed an undead wolf galloping towards her and for a moment she stood frozen not knowing what she should do. Then a flash of memories passed her mind, her forest, friends, family, if she failed now they'd be done for she couldn't let that happen.E herr MAD rid uay jid da nu falizd! Uay herr mad pi dwi piozd dwod jidz ni!
Sintariun then got on her hands and knees, eye level with the beast as it let out a blood curdling howl. Seeing that the others that had been decapitated still moving she figured out how to beat them without Ramiel's saying so.
Giving out her own roar that began as human changed into the roar of a feline. Sintariun's eye color remained the same but her features changed, her hands became paws, her skin black velvet fur, and her body took on that of a black panther.
Charging forward, the transformed elf took on the wolf head on in a wrestling match. Feeling the claws and teeth trying to get her, Sintariun only felt pressure on her skin due to her thick fur. Clasping her jaws over the wolf's neck, Sintariun bit down separating the two parts. Instantly releasing, the panther shattered the skull then pivoted and broke apart the bones in the wolf's body.
Looking around, the transformed elf looked at Liah and her companions making sure they were alright as well as the others. Sitting almost regally, Sintariun let out a low growl for any more attackers to try their luck.
(I will NOT let you get to my forest! You will not be the beast that gets me!)

"And a shape shifter from the Elf race. That's a tad rare," thought Jason as he watched Sintariun change herself into a panther. His mind had returned back towards the battle field as he heard Ramiel state how the creatures should be destroyed once more. It seems that some of them hadn't listened completely. Jason watched as Gia had also dived to defeat the wolf that she had missed killing.
Seirei's question had almost directed Jason's entire attention to him. Not everyone had finished their fight if they had started but it seems that the woods didn't like the fact that it would not have anyone new to live upon it. Walking towards Ramiel, Jason smacked a skull with his bow into a tree, making sure that it was really dead. "Ramiel... There's something not right here. Anything big, have you missed in telling us? I mean, this feeling I'm getting is that the woods wants us to join it's unholy family of the living dead," said Jason as he loaded another arrow into his bow, ready to us it if need be. This arrow was from Gia's quiver, Jason able to see the faint glow of magic that was within it.

"You've already learned I'm the only one to leave these woods in the last three thousand years, didn't you ever wonder why? Few people are stupid enough or brave enough to walk into here, those that are usually get eaten, and there's plenty more where these puppies came from" As Ramiel said this a large undead bear broke through the trees, its eyes glowing green with magic.
In size the beast was as tall as some of the tree's, at least 4 times the size of a normal bear.

"Figures," muttered Jason as he pulled the arrow back on the bow but had to jump backwards as the bear tried to crush him under a paw. Jason landed upon the ground but had to jump to the side as it's immense size knocked over a tree during its attack. Being clipped by a tree branch on the arm, Jason glanced at it to see it start to bleed. "Give me fire, Ramiel!" With that, Jason launched an arrow towards the beast's eye in hopes of blinding it as well has hitting a vital point to at least leave a fracture in the skull.

"You obviously weren't paying attention kid, fire doesn't work on these pile of bones"Ramiel said as he ran forward, sword strapped across his back one more.
Dashing forward and leaping up Ramiel brought his right fist down on the beasts skull, smashing it on the ground. He whirled around just in time to catch the bears right paw as it made a swipe at him, the body still mobile.
Using the beasts momentum and wait Ramiel tossed the creature over his shoulder, brining them both down onto the ground before he jumped on the creatures ribcage. Its paws came down on him, both claws digging into his back. A slight grunt escapes Ramiel as he placed each hand on one of the bears shoulder blades. From there he began to pull until the beast split in two right down the center, leaving the spine limp and unattached to anything.

Jason made a face as he crossed his arm, bow still held in his left hand. "Well it would have made sure the eye couldn't be used again. I'm thinking practical. Besides, if I had a powerhouse amount of strength within like you, I wouldn't need to be an archer," said Jason as he let his arms down. He drew another arrow, knowing he was getting short on his normal arrows as he placed it in the bow, ready for use.

Liah watched Sintariun's transformation in awe. Her mouth nearly dropped open at the sight of the beautiful panther. She had no idea that her Elven friend could do that. She was about to call out to her and say something but Ramiel announced the small detail about the parts of the wolves being still able to attack. Damon had her protection under control now, parts of wolves wouldn't be much trouble for him. It was interesting to watch a disembodied claw leap at Damon who just swiped his large paw to shatter it. Before she forgot, she hurried over to her dagger which was laying on the ground amongst a pile of shattered bone. "Lovely." She said, picking it up and wincing at the stench. Making a mental note to clean it when she could, she put it back in it's sheath and walked back to the tree where Damon was crushing a small leg bone which was wriggling about. "That was close..." Liah said to no one in particular. It was then that she noticed the other two attacking the bear. It was huge, which made her gasp, but they looked like they had it under control. After all..what could she do to help?

Seirei watched the impressive display of power from the man who easily took down the bear. It took him under 30 seconds to dispatch the massive creature so he knew that if he got on anyone's nerves, he would be the last person to annoy. Seirei walked back over the elf, now turned panther, and the girl with the animals. "So, I would recommend keeping an eye out at all times as long as we are in this forest," he said to the two, doubting that the panther had understood him. "I shouldn't think we'll come across creatures of that size everywhere but there will be more."

Liah looked to Seirei and nodded. "Yeah, thanks for the tip." She said glancing at a decapitated head bouncing around. She even smiled slightly. "My name's Liah, by the way. It's nice to meet you." She gestured around. "Even under these circumstances." Damon smashed the head with one paw easily. "Oh, and this is Damon, and that's Asteria." She pointed to Asteria.
