Tu turned around, walking aimlessly to somewhere new. "I gave you the downside because the perks should be obvious, Captain. "Freedom, complete, pure, beautiful freedom."
He chuckled, his hands behind his head.
"I was created to serve, Miss Tu, freedom is as odd and alien to me as idle conversation is to you." He said, with a chuckle, "However... I will consider it. I do believe we have an issue on our hands with the Kore to deal with first."

"A person is born to something, but they create themselves, Captain. If you feel yourself created to serve, than it is what you let yourself be." She gave a slight nod. "Idle conversation tends to waste time. But at the moment, I have too much time and it is good to have something to waste it." She took another turn down a new hallway. "Yes, the Kore must be dealt with first."

As Durendal and Tu walked and talked, Hattie had woken up to find Riley and Cale gone. She hoped that they were on the Rioreet, but she wasn't sure if her beloved ship had been recovered from the Fed's ship. Hattie turned her tired blue eyes to look at Eric and painfully slid out of her bed. Her arm thudded with pain through the cast and her girl parts were aching a storm. The swelling in her eye had gone down, though.

She grabbed her IV stand and drew it along with her, waving off Medics as she tried to keep the back of her thin gown closed. She was well aware of her lack of undies. She took her place in Riley's empty seat beside Eric. She took his hand with her left, uninjured arm, careful not to disrupt the IV. She was slumped in the chair, almost too tired and drugged to sit straight.

Durendal turned to her, and nodded slowly.
"Well, you might be seeing me out there with you, then."

"Space. The lanes. When we end this thing, bring down the Kore, I'll give your life a try. I'd offer you the same, but it seems like your sister gives you enough of that." He said, stopping beside her, his words spoken with a smile.

He looked thoughtful.
"I like a part of it I've seen, we'll say. A certain someone."

Tu glanced back at him, the point completely moving over her head. "That's not necessarily a good reason to get involved in it, but I shouldn't be one to judge on the matter."

Durendal rested a single finger under Tu's chin.
"I'd be flattered were I you. It's not often someone gets me to be as foreward as you have." He said, before pressing his lips firmly to her's for a long moment.

Tu stared up at him in wide eyed surprise. She pushed back into the kiss, participating with open curiosity, but as it ended she gave him an odd look. "I don't like being told when and where I should be flattered." She paused, "but that was....interesting."

"That... Is the first of many things I want to share with you, Tu. I've never been good with words, sadly. I'm afraid I'll have to let you figure it out. I'm sorry."

"Durendal," Tu repeated. "Do you prefer going by Captain?" She walked after him, catching up quickly and pushing up ahead a step. "Perhaps," She said simply.
