Ianios was sitting on his bed, dusting the gemstone of Cel's when suddenly he was tackled from behind. He oofed, looking over his shoulder. Aria was hugging his neck, and he grinned. "You're back!" he cried, happy.

"Yep. That was restful too!" She glanced around. "Where's our child?"

Ian sighed. "I don't think Rynn kept a bloom. I have seen two however. A leaf and a chestnut I think?" He sounded unsure on that one.

"Who said I didn't want a bloom?" Both feien turned around, seeing Rynn in the doorway, holding a yellow, blue, and black bloom.

Aria got up, grinning, flying over to see it. Ianios was right behind her. She reached out to touch a petal, beaming. "Ian...isn't she or he...well...pretty?" Maybe pretty wasn't the right word for a bloom that could be male, but she felt uncomfortable calling it an it.

The plant feien nodded. "Yeah..." he was in awe.

"I also got pictures of the others before they went home to their owners." Rynn pulled out a small photo album, opening it for them. They ohhed and awed over the blooms, while Rynn set the new one down on the desk.

Ian looked at the leaf, smiling. "Leafy and I met once already."

"Ian, that was your nickname!" Aria cried, huffing, then laughing.

He just smirked. "Oh, Maq left you a note. It's on your bed."

Aria glanced back and flew over, snatching the paper out from under Pooky. The cat meowed in protest, and she reached over, scratching her behind the ears. "Sorry." She read over it. "I'll go over there in the morning."

Feb 23

Aria left the house, leaving Ian to care for the bloom. In her hands was Maq's note, with the directions to his house. She was excited to see him. It had been a while since she had, being a bloom and all. She kinda knew he had came by, it was vague but she knew. And he had missed her. Maybe as much as she missed him.

She reached the house, staring in awe. It was a castle compared to Rynn's little cottage. She glupped, wondering if she should knock. She guessed so, how else was she to find him?

The water feien flew to the front door, seeing the knocker. Could she lift that? "One way to find out," she said outloud, holding the note in one hand, and lifting with the other. It was like it was a feather, as light as it was. She knocked, and waited.

There was a soft click, and the front door swung inward, revealing the main hall. No sign of who had opened the door was apparent, though noises came from a room off to the right, further down the hall.

Aria flew on in, looking around in wonder. It was sorta like a maze, but she kept her ear out for the noises, flying down the hall towards them.

Just before she reached the opening into the room where the noises emerged from, Maq darted into the hall from the opposite direction, a red blur heading straight for her. In his obvious enthusiasm and excitement over seeing her, he neglected to consider how his sudden appearance and more-sudden embrace could be taken from her point of view. "Blue Eyes!" he exclaimed, even as his arms wrapped around her shoulders, easily twining past her wings.

Aria yelped, totally surprised. She wasn't expecting to be glomped! But it made her happy, and she hugged back, grinning ear to ear. "Maq!" she cried, hugging him close. "I'm so happy to see you!" She was shaking with excitement, nearly laughing with joy.

He swung her around once, twice, then held her out at arms length, looking her over. "Happy isn't the word for it. I was beginning to wonder if your kids would show up before you did!" With a laugh, he pulled her close again, one hand reaching up to affectionately ruffle her hair.

Aria giggled, grinning. "Well, here I am! You should see the bloom Rynn kept! It's yellow!" Her hands snaked up his back, rubbing the spot where his wings emerged. She really had missed him. Being in the bloom state was kinda boring and lonely.

"Yellow?" Maq rumbled thoughtfully, the familiar warm sensation spreading through his body at the touch of her fingers. "I've seen a blue one, but not a yellow... Funny." Smoothing her hair from where he had rumpled it, he wondered how blue and green could possibly equal yellow.

The water feien giggled. "Yeah, it's yellow. Ian and I can't decide if it'll be female or male." She rubbed that spot, one hand now making its way to toy with his hair. She felt safe and warm in his arms. It had been different being a bloom and being with him. Aware somewhat he was there, but unable to really tell him anything. "Be funny if it turned out like you," she said with a smirk.

"Would that be such a bad thing, really?" He raised a brow at her. "I mean, I'm not that awful, am I?"

She only giggled. "I meant you'd have some competition for the females, silly!" She raised up a little, kissing his lips. "You could never be awful!"

His lips moved against hers, kissing her back, before they turned up in a grin. "Hell, I'm a generous guy. I'd be more than happy to share."

Flying was one of the few spells he had mastered, and flying with an armful of Aria wasn't any sort of challenge at all. So thus he began to glide them downwards, towards the table that stood in the hall. "Enjoying your bloom, then?"

Aria smiled, gazing into his warm orange eyes. She enjoyed every minute with him. She was blushing slightly as he glided her down to the table. "Might take some strain off you, hmm? With all the girls?" she asked giggling. "Seriously, I do enjoy having the bloom. We're not really experimenting with it, but Ian plans on starting too soon. I think he wants to find out which it likes better, water

or plant. You should come visit it.

For some reason, the mention of a visit caused a mischievous twinkle to appear in Maq's eyes. "Visit, yeah... Got something to show you." Releasing his embrace so that he could take her hand, he started to lift up off the table again.

Aria looked up at him, curious now. She followed suit, lifting off the table, eager to see what he had to show her.

He guided her down the hall, slightly to the left and down another hall, which led to a set of stairs. Unbeknownst to her, he was taking her along the same path he had led Ian down, the first time Ian had visited, though at a much more casual pace. Up the stairs, around the corner, and into a room dotted with cushions and lined with windows. Bright sunlight poured in, bathing a woman who lay on her stomach in an almost ethereal glow. Her boot-clad feet rocked back and forth in the air as she crooned in some strange language to the things that lay before her on one of the many cushions.

There, rocked lightly by the woman's fingertips, was a bright blue chestnut, its tiny spines prickling against the fabric of the cushion. Beside the chestnut was the darker colored bloom Aria had seen before in the shop, Quantel sitting quietly beside it. While the strange woman did not turn her masked face in the direction of the newcomers, Quantel did, glancing up briefly before returning her gaze to the two blooms.

Maq drew up in the air, a few feet away from the scene before them, and waited to see what Aria's reaction would be.

Aria blinked. Rynn had shown her a photo of each of her children's blooms, and Ian had claimed to have seen the chestnut, but only briefly. But now, she could see it much better in person. She didn't understand what the woman was saying, nor did she really care. She seemed quite taken with the little

one. And Q, well, as long as she didn't influence the child inside, she didn't mind. "Isn't it beautiful?" she whispered to Maq. She wanted a closer look, to talk to the bloom, but didn't want to break the scene either.

Her reaction was almost exactly what Maq had been expecting, as a broad grin covered his face. "Yeah, it is." He started to draw nearer to the group, slowly, almost hesitantly. Best to warn her first... In a low voice, he spoke to Aria, "Now, ZDT's a little peculiar. But she's nice enough, and Tera trusts her to take care of your bloom. So, whatever you see..." He really couldn't think of anything else to say, so he figured he'd might as well just dive right in. Hopefully Aria would figure things out for herself quickly. Raising his voice a bit, he called, "You don't mind if we join you, Z?"

The woman's head turned, in a motion that was eerily almost a 180 degree rotation, the blank white eyescreens staring up at the pair in the air. She paused in the rocking of her bloom momentarily, completely still, completely quiet. That was, until a bright "SQUEE!" erupted from the area of her scarf-swathed mouth. "Another Feien type person for Bloombloom to seeee!" Her head turned back to the cushion, neck cracking audibly. In a stage whisper, she spoke to the blooms, "Blue and blue and blue and blue! Something old and something new!" One of her thin fingers, nail bitten down to the discolored quick, poked in the direction of the spike-laden bloom, causing Quantel to tense slightly.

Aria stared, definately not expecting this. That woman was weird! Nothing like what she expected, nothing at all! She was a bit nervous, but she did seem harmless. And if Tera trusted her...well, that was ok by her.

"Hi. I'm Aria. I...well, helped create the bloom there," she said, pointing to the chestnut. She wondered how ZDT would react to that information. She held onto Maq's hand, a little nervous still.

Like some sort of gargantuan spider, ZDT hopped up onto her hands and feet, then rocked back onto her heels, fingertips keeping her balanced as they grazed the carpet. Scuttling sideways, she moved around the pillow until she was behind it, the ends of her scarf twitching and curling around her bare arms. With a tilt of her head, she looked back up at Aria and Maq, her right hand sneaking out to touch the chestnut, as if ensuring that it continued to exist. "Cree-ate?"

For some reason, Maq thought the height they were keeping might be bothering ZDT, so he began to lower himself to the ground, his hand, squeezing Aria's comfortingly, guiding her down with him.

Aria followed Maq down, looking at the woman oddly. What was she? Couldn't be human or anything related. Robot perhaps? She shook her head slightly, not entirely sure what to make of ZDT. Better to approach this differently.

"Yes...it came about because another feien and I did a breeding. It's one of my babies." She smiled, hoping not to frighten the woman. "I'm sure it's very happy with you. Do you like the bloom?" She thought as if talking to her like a child maybe she'd be more at ease. She wasn't trying to insult her intelligence, but more like trying to make her comfortable.

A slight tremor ran through ZDT, and the hand reaching for the bloom convulsed, almost snatching the thing up from where it lay. Her feet edged closer to the cushion. "Yessss..." she drew out, head still tilted. "MY bloom. MINE." Her mouth shut under the scarf with a loud snap.

Uh oh. Maq extended his arms out to his sides, palms upwards, thinking it best to clear things up a bit. "We know it's yours, Z. Aria was just saying she was the mother."

Oh dear. She upset the bond to her baby. "I don't want to take the bloom away!" she nearly cried, getting upset herself. This wasn't how it was suppose to go!

ZDT seemed to relax slightly, settling back down onto her heels. She still gave the impression of one warily watching an animal that appeared to be prepared to attack. A simple nod was the only indication she gave that she had heard their words, but her hand ceased to clutch at the chestnut.

That seemed to be good enough for Maq. With a grin, he looked back at Aria, a little sheepish. "At least you know she's willing to do anything to protect the little one, huh?"

The water feien nodded, smiling. "Yes, she's a good bond for him or her." She gave ZDT a big smile, smirking to Maq. She hoped Quantel wouldn't attempt to influence the little one though.

"Do you mind if I touch the bloom?" she asked ZDT.

A sound like a strangled moan came from ZDT, as her head shook. "Bloombloom all spiny, not good for touching." Her hand, the one touching the chestnut, turned over, exposing a network of scratches that crisscrossed the fingers that extruded from the fingerless glove. "Careful, careful, be you."

Maq leaned in close to Aria and whispered, "That's a 'yes', but she wants you to watch out for the spikes."

Aria nodded in return. "I'll be careful." She flew down to the bloom, landing on the cushion on which it rested. It had more spikes that Quantel's bloom, and they looked much sharper. But it was her bloom and she had to touch it at least one.

Her hand went out, careful of the spines, patting it gently. "Hi there, little one. I can't wait to meet you in person," she whispered softly.

As he watched, Maq smiled affectionately. While the concept of connecting to a bloom like this was foreign to him, the emotions Aria was expressing were not. Pointedly ignoring Quantel, he moved to be beside Aria as she touched the bloom, careful not to bump her.

Tiny movements of ZDT's head seemed to indicate that she was turning her attention from each Feien and bloom in turn, watching them all avidly.

Aria looked over at Maq, smiling. "Want to touch it? It's not all that bad." Her hand still rested on the chestnut, rubbing lightly over it, still careful of the spines.

"Nah, I'm good." He grinned at her, folding his arms across his chest. "I find them more entertaining when they pop out." A playful wink accompanied his comment.

"Out out out!" ZDT chirped excitedly, hopping a couple of inches into the air.

Aria giggled, looking at Maq. There was a twinkle in her eyes at that
comment. "When they come out, hmm? Well, I'm out... She
trailed off, her intent clear, well, should be at least to Maq.

From the way his eyes began to smolder, her intent was plainly clear to Maq. He began to step closer when it became apparent that her intent was plain to Quantel as well. Coolly, the other blue Feien commented, "Perhaps we should keep the lecherous behavior committed in the presence of impressionable young blooms to a minimum, aii?"

As his back was to her, Maq wasn't able to shoot Quantel a glare, but the muscles in his jaw tightened faintly. The smolder remained, though it was a bit more from anger now. Keeping his tones even, he asked, "You want to go somewhere private to finish talking?"

Aria had totally forgotten about Quantel. She was too intent on the bloom, well, until Maq's comment. She blushed, petting the chestnut once more. "Don't worry, little one. I'll see you again soon," she whispered.

Turning her attention back to Maq, she smiled. "Where ever you want to go is fine with me!"

With a nod, Maq began to lift off. He gave a farewell wave to ZDT, then started to fly out of the room. Putting distance between himself and Q would be best, before he did something stupid.

Aria took off behind him, waving to ZDT. She was weird, but she was nice. She'd be a good bond for her baby. But now she couldn't wait to get "reunited" with Maq. And once he had pulled her off into a quiet, out of the way corner, Maq proceeded to show her just how much he had missed her.

Meet the Parents

Lucifer Force

The orange Heat feien had been floating along for a good hour now, carrying the yellow, wheatlike bloom in his steady grasp. He was careful not to let anything happen to it, especially since he was headed to the house of the parents - Ian and Aria. He'd met them before, but this was only the second time he'd been to the house.

Spotting the familiar blue cottage, Neruo perked up. His long journey was finally coming to an end. He spoke to the bloom. "Well, here we are! Time for you to meet your mother and father. They'll be very proud."

Fluttering down to a windowsill, he poked his head inside the house. Still carrying the bloom, he inspected what he thought was a parlor. Were they inside? He htought he heard something coming from the backyard. Floating around back, his gray eyes looked about.

Rynn
Ian and Aria were out back, sitting the middle of a huge rainbow towel, with the bloom Rynn had kept inbetween them. Ian was sunning, laid back, arms behind his head. His eyes were closed.

Aria, however, was stroking the petals of the bloom. She was smiling, singing softly to it. Neither noticed the bright orange feien and his bloom.

Lucifer Force
Ah! There they were! And what was that? Another bloom? How many were there? he wondered and floated closer. The sunlight felt wonderful on his skin, and he hoped the bloom wound't mind. Eventually, he got within earshot of the two Feien. Landing on the soft grass, he began to walk towards them, smiling.

Clearing his throat, he said, "Ian? Aria? I hope I'm not intruding..."

Rynn
Ian opened his eyes, bringing himself up on one elbow. "Neruo? That you?" He hadn't seen the heat feien since he grew. He shaded his eyes with a hand, noticing the bloom. "You got one of the blooms too?"

Aria grinned. "Come on over! We're just having a little family outing outside!" she called cheerfully. She was pleased he brought another one of her babies over. Now they could socialize.

Lucifer Force

"Ian! Aria! How are you two?" he called cheerfully. He trotted over to their place on the towel. He placed the wheatlike bloom next to the yellow bloom the parents had between them. This, to him, was very exciting. He sat down, crosslegged, and grinned at them.

"Yes, we recieved one of the blooms. I know nothing about genetics, so I couldn't believe, at first, that a yellow bloom came from you two. But now you've got one too! Find out anything about it?" He was very eager to learn.

Rynn

Ian smirked, sitting on up. He reached out, patting the wheatish bloom. "We can't really figure that out ourselves. Maybe because blue and yellow make green we had throwbacks to yellow?"

Aria smiled. She was happy to meet another one of her blooms. Pictures really didn't do them justice. It was an interesting bloom, to say the least. Looked like it would have blue hair. Only one she saw would be like her, all blue. "Nice to see you again, Neruo. Enjoying having a housemate?" She was happy Neruo and Lu had one of her babies, as Neruo was a nice guy. He would be a good influence on the babe inside.

Ian shook his head. "Nah, not yet. Rynn isn't really experimenting on it. I kinda figure it'll be either water or plant, maybe both."

Lucifer Force
The Heat Feien set the wheat bloom next to its fanlike sibling. Throwback to yellow? If perhaps he mated, would the blooms be yellow and red? Interesting. He'd have to ask around about it. It was wonderful to see the parents so happy to see their children.

"I am actually, enjoying having a housemate very much. Lu says that they will be like a little borther or sister to me. I'm very excited to see who pops out of it." He decided to lay back like Ian had, to watch the clouds above. It was so peaceful here. He figured the children would have pleasantly even tempers like their parents.

He blinked, brushing a curl out of his face. "Lu has a silly idea that the children will be Peat or something. Some sort of watery plant, she says. She's so funny sometimes." He couldn't help but chuckle.

Rynn
Both Aria and Ian laughed at that. "Peat? Now why would she think peat?"

Aria picked up the wheatish bloom, petting it gently. "He said a watery plant type, Ian. Maybe water, maybe plant, maybe both. I have heard there are some that are duel elements. Have you decided on a name? Or going to let the little one name themselves?"

Ian laid back again, closing his eyes. "I was thinking something like Chanlin for a boy. Or like Kira for a girl." He was hoping for a son though.

Aria smirked. "I'm sure it'll be a brother or sister to you. Like Ian is to me."

The plant feien looked over at Rynn, smirking. "And maybe he'll end up falling in love with him or her too," he said with a chuckle.

Lucifer Force
Neruo blinked. Falling in love with them? The only one he had a heart for was Ruya, and she had moved away. He wondered where she was... But he wasn't going to focus on such things right now. It was a happy time for he and the bloom.

Instead, he focused his mind on what Lu said where nice names for it. "If I remember correctly, Lu thought Lysander or Demetrius would be good names for a boy, and Elyse for a girl. I personally don't have an opinion on the subject. I think it would be hard to name someone you don't know very well..."

He closed his eyes and smiled. "I remember my first adventure with Ian when we were younger. You've grown, but I don't think you've changed much. I'm glad, Ian."

Rynn
Ian smiled. "Nope, not much of a change at all. Just a bit taller." He chuckled, closing his eyes again. Man, the sun felt good to him. He wondered if Celaien would have enjoyed being outside on a day like today.

Aria was letting her bloom's petals curl around her hand. "Those are some nice names. What sex are you hoping it'll be?" She didn't care which sex the bloom Rynn had kept would turn out to be. It would still be loved.

The green feien looked over to Neruo. "You've not changed much either. Seems most don't change when they grow up. Maybe it's just after breeding," he said with a smile.

Lucifer Force
The orange Feien shrugged. Change was acceptable, but only for the better, the way he figured it. And they were both wonderful friends. He was glad to have them.

Neruo blinked, thinking. "Which sex? In all honesty, I hadnt given it much thought. I guess it really doesn't matter to me that much anyway. I guess it'll be a pleasant surprise."

He smiled, sitting up to watch the wheat bloom soak in the warm sunlight. If Ian loved it so much, perhaps the bloom would too. "Tell me, how is the rest of the family? Good, I hope."

Rynn
"Well, lets see. The leaf seems to be fine. I haven't seen the others, other than the leaf and your wheatish bloom.Well, a glance of one, a chestnut I think?" He also had no idea Aria had seen the chestnut.

Aria smirked. "I've seen the chestnut. The lady that it will bond too is a bit weird, but she is very friendly. Maq's bond trusts her enough with a bloom, well then so do I."

Ian sat up, looking to Aria. "She's weird? How?"

Brushing a lock of hair behind her ear, she looked to the two blooms between her and Ianios. "Well, she moves like a spider. That is just odd. But she warned me of the spines the chestnut bore, and she honestly seems bonded to it. She was singing to it when Maq took me to see it."

The plant feien nodded. "Well, that just leaves one bloom we have yet to personally see."

Lucifer Force
Neruo blinked again, surprised. "This lady... I've met her before, I think. Very briefly. She's truely bizarre, but she seems nice enough. If you two trust her with your child, then I think she's alright."

The heat feien scratched his head, a curl or two flopping down in front of his face. It was interesting to think about the possibilities that could stem from this one bloom. What would he teach them? What would they be like?

"How many blooms do you have total? Five? Is that unusual, or do you know? I think Simon would know all about that..."

Rynn
Ian nodded, running his hand through his hair, causing it to spiken a bit. He returned back to his lying down position. "Five, yeah. We've got photos of them though. Don't know if it's unusual or not though."

Aria looked over, shrugging. "He might, but I don't really know. Wasn't Nero one of three?"

"Mmhmm," came the reply from Ian, closing his eyes again. "The first bred feien at that, too."

Lucifer Force
Neruo folded his wings, remembering the first time he met Ruya and Nero. "I've met Nero once or twice. He was a very nice guy. Extremely tall, too. I dont believe I've met his brother, though, but I've met his sister."

Ian looked like he was about to fall asleep, happy as a clam. "Aria, what do you intend to teach the young one? I have to admit, I'm unsure how to handle a new Feien in the house..."

Rynn
"I never met either his brother or sister. That just seemed to me as unfriendly. Miss Nero though." Ian sighed softly, more inder his breath than anything. He really missed Cel, though he had his gemstone. But that wasn't the same. Only Aria knew how he truely felt.

Aria thought a moment, her expression seriously. "Well, other than general manners, maybe magic, if it's water like me. But more like manners than anything."

Lucifer Force
Neruo blinked, slightly worried. He didn't mean to have said anything upsetting. Maybe there was something else they could talk about to ease the tension? "Well, I intend to teach the child manners as well. I don't think Lu would like a little flying slob in the house." For added effect, he gave a little chuckle, trying to lighten the mood.

He was sure that Ian being sad would be a sign of the apocalypse.

Rynn

Ian laughed. A flying little slob for a housemate. Curious, but always leaving a huge mess in its wake. He could see it now. Just the idea made him laugh.

Aria grinned, patting the bloom. "I don't think it'll be a flying slob, Neruo. It could be, but I don't know." She smiled warmly. "Well, do you have any interests you might teach them about? I might try video games. Ian likes those as well."

Lucifer Force

Neruo sat and thought. Though alchemy was his forte, so to speak, he didn't think any child would really take to that. He read, wrote, did some painting... Did she say video games?

"Lu loves video games! I try to play that dancing game she has, with the little black controller. You know, by stepping on the buttons. It's hard, but it's fun. Maybe, if the child is as active as you, Ian, he or she would love it?"

Rynn

"A dancing game?? Ohhhh...Rynn doesn't own any of those! Those would be fun!"

Ian agreed. "Yeah, that would burn up some energy. She needs to get us one of those. As for the kid, yeah, if they turn out like us. She got books? Lilyana likes to read. She's another fairy in the house, but a Maien." He tried to think of what else the feien might like.

Lucifer Force

If it were a cartoon, Neruo would have a blinking lightbulb above his head. He had an idea.

"If you two would like the dancing game, I'm sure Lu would let you borrow it. Do you guys have a...Playstation 2, I believe? Lu has many versions of the dance game, and she has this black box with an X on it. It plays the dancing game, too. I could bring one over sometime. We could throw a party, and invite some friends."

Sounded like a wonderful time to him.

Rynn
Aria smirked. "You haven't seen Rynn's systems. There's an Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, GBA, Nintendo 64, a Sega..." She looked over at Ian. "What else?"

"I think that's all...granted, some are packed away, not enough room, but she has a few systems." Ian smirked. "But that sounds like a good idea to me."

Lucifer Force
Neruo nodded. "Then it's settled. I'll bring over the game for all of us to play. Is there any specific time that we should arrange this? Should we wait until the children come out of the blooms?" It was very exciting, indeed. He wouldn't mind at all getting off his butt for once.

Rynn
Ian rubbed his chin in thought. It seemed like a good idea and it would be like a little party. He could invite Sevvie and his feien over. And maybe if he ever got to meet the other bondmates of his children, they'd want to come over as well. "Sounds good," he finally said. "What do you think? Should we wait until the kids have emerged?"

Aria nodded. "Sounds like a plan to me. And we could try to get all the kids together. Family reunion."

"Then we can wait. Give a few days after they emerge and all, then meet back here, I guess?"

Lucifer Force
Neruo took up the bloom in his arms, smiling, excited. "Sounds wonderful to me. I'll get going now. I'll let Lu in on the plans. Perhaps she could join us?"

The Heat Feien stood up, brushing himself off with his free hand. Afterwards, he gave a hearty wave to his friends. "I hope to be seeing you again soon, then. I'll make all the necessary arrangements. Thank you very much for allowing me...I mean, us to come and visit you."

He started to float off, but lingered a bit. He was very slow, but he wanted to stretch out their goodbyes as much as possible. It was getting late, and he needed to be home. But still...

Rynn
Aria and Ian both waved back. "Bye!" called Aria.

"Come back real soon! We'll take the kids on an adventure!" Ian said, picking up the bloom. "Then he turned to Aria. "Let's go on in. It's getting late."

She nodded, leaving the towel out for Rynn to gather. "Bye Neruo!" she yelled, heading inside with Ian.

The Leaf and the Broom

(( compiled from here. ))

Rynn carefully carried the bloom in her hands, Aria sitting on her shoulder, Ianios flying behind her at a slow pace. In his arms was Celaien's gemstone, clutched tightly to his chest. They were going to go visit Sevviekun so Aria could get a good view of the leaf.

"Ian, do you have to carry the gemstone?" Rynn asked, nearing Sevvie's house.

"Aye. I think Sevvie might want to meet Cel."

Rynn shook her head and knocked on the door. Aria grinned. So close to meeting another of her babies!

Sevviekun gave a start - he'd been about to tell Itztli off for something or other, but he couldn't think of it now. "Coming," he called, and padded to the door. "Rynn! Nice to see you!" he said upon opening it, pleasantly surprised. "Do come in! Oh, and don't mind the ruffian, he's with me. Itztli, no hitting on Rynn. Or Aria."

"Aww, spoiling all my fun before it even starts," Itztli grumbled goodnaturedly.

Rynn walked in, Aria flying off her shoulder, looking around for the leaf. Rynn shook her head, giving a grin to Sevvie as Ian flew in past her. "How are you?"

Aria grinned at the fox like creature, flying down to pet him. "You're cute!"

Rynn put the bloom on the countertop. "I brought Ian and Aria to meet the leaf, and so the leaf could meet the other bloom. Don't mind, do you?"

Sevvie smiled. "Of course I don't mind, I think it'd be good for it to have some more social time," he said, heading for the kitchen. "Most of the time the leaf stays near my windowbox of herbs; it seems to like it there best. I'm debating trying some incense flavors on it, whether it'd like it or no."

Itztli was busy preening over Aria's compliment and didn't notice they were moving until they were almost in the door. "Hey wait for me!" he yelped, skittering after.

Rynn picked up the bloom, Ian catching up to her, grabbing ahold of her hair. The gem was heavy, and he was tired, but he wasn't about to lay it down. She followed Sevviekun into the kitchen, Ian hanging on tightly.

Once in the kitchen, Ian peeked over Rynn's shoulder. "Leafy!"

Aria, who was busy laughing at Itztli, darted into the kitchen, looking around. "Where?"

"In the terrarium, Aria, and your own bloom is welcome to join it there, Rynn," Sevvie said, filling a cup with water and freshening the water in the terrarium with it. "And how've you been since last we met, Ianios?" He pulled one of the chairs from the table and sat down.

Aria flew over as soon as she spied it, landing in the water. She petted the leaf, grinning. Rynn walked over, carefully placing her own inside, letting Aria coo over them both. She joined Sevvie at the table, sitting down.

Ian gave the blooms a nod and joined his bond at the table. Finally he put the gemstone down on the table after releasing his hold on Rynn's hair. He gave Sevvie a grin. "Quite well. Learning some moves and exercises from Maq, another feien. Oh!" He gestured to the gemstone. "This is Celaien."

Rynn glanced back at Aria, who was busy happily splashing both blooms with some water. She shook her head. "I told him to leave the gem at home."

"Ah. He's a very pretty gem," Sevvie said, examining it interestedly but not touching it. He wasn't sure how protective of it Ian might be. "Is this Maq a good teacher then?" he asked, moving on to the safer topic.

Ian nodded. "Yeah, Maq's a good teacher. He was showing me some warm up exercises, then the workout, then cool down. It was fun. We meet again in a week."

Rynn smirked. "I hope you don't end up with one like Ian, always exploring and all."

Ian glared up at Rynn. "I'm offended."

She just laughed, reaching out to rub his head. "Really, it's not all that bad. But as I remember, Ian could get himself into some trouble."

"Well no offense, Ian, but I think I have quite enough trouble as it is with Itztli..." Sevvie said, laughing.

"Sir! You have mortally wounded my honor!" the Surlare said, mock-offended.

"Oh shush, you big tail-chaser you," Sevvie retorted, grinning.

Rynn laughed, while Ian did look kinda offended. "Well, you never know what you'll get." Which was true, who could predict what the feien inside would be like?

Aria flew out of the terrarium, both blooms in her arms. "They wanted to visit!" she said, setting down on the middle of the table, smiling to the fox like creature. "Wanna see the babies?" she asked.

"Only babe I'm interested in at the moment is you," Itztli said, grinning winsomely at her.

"Itz, stop smarming on Aria. She's a fairy, not a fairy Surlare," Sevvie reprimanded laughingly.

"She's still hot," he protested, grinning to show he was just messing.

Aria giggled. She was a flirt, but he wasn't her type. But still, he had charm. "I like you!" She walked over to the edge of the table, kissing Itztli
on the nose.

Ian laughed, shaking his head. He wasn't jealous of Aria, he still thought of her as a sister more than anything.

Rynn smirked. "Figured out anything on the bloom? Like if it likes water more, or plant/earth?"

"Nope, still no idea. It seems to like its terrarium just fine though, so I've decided since it has a bit of both in there, that's safest for it. At least till I know for sure, anyway," Sevvie said, shrugging.

"Aww, I bet you say that about all the boys," Itztli said, ducking his head and fluttering his eyelashes at her. Then he grinned at her.
"You're pretty cool, Aria. I like you too."

Rynn nodded. "I really have not experimented on the bloom I have. It's suppose to help them out, but I'm trying to decide if I want to or not."

Sevvie nodded. "Yeah, that's why I haven't tried anything too drastic with the leaf. I've heard that if you aren't careful your experimentation can also hurt it..." He bit his lip, then shrugged. "Well, the leaf seems happy enough, so I suppose the Feien won't come out traumatized at least."

Rynn nodded. She understood completely on that. But water and earth type stuff wouldn't harm the bloom. Leaving it out too long in the light might though.

"He or she should be fine." She glanced at Aria, Ian and the blooms. Well, Aria was busy with Itztli, giggling. Ian was more like laughing at them both.

"Besides, with parents like that, and a bond like you, the feien will be greatly loved, no matter what."

Sevvie smiled at Rynn. "Yeah, I suppose you're right. Love is, after all, the most important thing in any relationship, no matter the type or degree," he said, nodding.

"All you need is loooove!" crooned Itztli, having caught that part of their conversation.

"You keep your nose out of it, master of the flirtatiously unfaithful," shot Sevvie, grinning to take any sting out of the comment.

"Ooh! Right through the heart!" the Surlare said, pretending to stagger backwards and putting a paw to his heart in mock-agony. "It burns! It burns like Mexican food!"

Aria nearly fell over laughing at the antics of Itztli. He was adorable! She wanted to take him home, but they had so many other pets as well...Still she liked hima lot.

Ian was watching the fox creature, totally amused. He smirked, shaking his head.

"He's too cute. Where did you find him?" Rynn too watched, thinking some mexican might be good for dinner.

"Well I was just wandering around town and I saw these charms in the window. I thought if the feien was a girl she might like to have some pretty objects around to look at instead of all my books and scientific junk," Sevvie admitting, blushing slightly. "But when I found out the charms were alive... well, I still liked them, and I figured having a companion for him or her might not be a bad idea either... It was this little shop called Surlaterre or something like that."

Rynn nodded. "Interesting. Perhaps we might try for one, but we're sorta overrun with pets as it is."

Ian laughed. "We got dragons, pixapets, there's a small griffon, firebirds..." he trailed off, trying to think.

"See what I mean?" she said, grinning.

"Goodness, how do you keep them all straight? Don't they fight?" Sevvie asked, a touch worriedly. He glanced over at his leaf as if to make sure it wasn't going to grow up to be belligerent and start attacking Rynn's or something odd like that.

Aria shook her head. "No no, they don't fight, not each other at least. Sometimes they fight among themselves, but generally all the pets get along."

Rynn nodded, brushing her finger over the leaf. "They all have their own places. Usually they fight if they feel if someone is coming in on their space. The pixas have semi taken over the bottom shelf of a bookcase. The dragons have another shelf. It just varies. Well, one dragon happens to share Ian's bed, but most have their own."

Ian nodded. "I named a red dragon Cel, after Cel here." He jerked his thumb towards the gemstone. "He shares my bed. But what Rynn did for all the small pets, feien sized, was she spread out some old towels, kinda leaving them bunched up so they could make their own beds."

"Was easier that way." Rynn smirked. But in general, all the pets seemed to get along. There wasn't too much worry within her household. "Got any other questions?"

"Yeah, we can answer about anything!"

"Ah. That makes sense," he said, nodding. "I suppose I won't have to worry about space issues then - I doubt I'll get many larger pets. I'd hate for my feien to get squashed, after all, and most larger creatures start out as largeish pups or kits or whatever."

He smiled at Rynn. "Nah, I don't think I have any more pressing questions. But I promise if I do, I'll be sure to come ask you," he said, laughing slightly.

Rynn smiled. "I knew you'd make a good feien bond." She looked down at the blooms, watching her feien interacting with them. "I am glad you got one of theirs. The feien should be a nice one. You'll have fun."

"I'm sure I will," he said, smiling cheerily. "Speaking of nice, where are my manners today? Would any of you like something to drink?" he asked, looking at the three (four if you were counting the bloom).

Rynn shook her head. "No, we should be fine. Had lunch before we came over."

Aria looked up at Sevviekun. "Have you chosen a name?" She was curious to what her babies would be named. She liked Ian's choices.

"Well, okay, if you're sure," he said, settling back into his chair comfortably.

"No, I've not decided on a name yet. I figured the little one could help me think of one," he told Aria, smiling. "I might have a name for it, if it's a boy and he likes it..."

Ian looked over at that. "What's that?" He wondered what sort of name it would be.

Sevvie smiled, though there was a hint of sadness in his eyes. "Aleksander," he said softly. "It's Russian in origins, but if he likes it, that would be the name I'd give him. We've already agreed that if he's a she, she'll help me pick the name," he added, laughing.

Rynn patted Sevvie's hand. "That's a lovely name. Perhaps if he turns out to be a she, perhaps she'll want it, but as a female name."

Aria nodded, patting the leaf. "It's a nice name. We can call it Alek now!"

Ian flew over, patting Sevvie's hand as well. "Yeah...I am sure he or she will like that name." He glanced at the leaf. "Well, can't call you Leafy now, Alek." He smiled, showing that he wasn't upset at not being able to call the leaf Leafy.

"I suppose so," Sevvie said, laughing. "So maybe Aleksandria, then? We will see, we will see." He smiled. "Is there a name pre-chosen for your bloom, then, Rynn?"

She looked to her two feien. "Well, guys?"

Ian smirked. "Chanlin for a boy..."

"Kira for a girl," Aria finished.

Rynn glanced to the clock. It was getting late, and she had really just wanted to let Aria meet the leaf and let Sevvie see her own. "We should get going. I still need to go grocery shopping and all. Thanks, Sevvie. Give me a call sometime, will you?"

"Of course," he said, standing and walking with them to the door. "Those are lovely names, you two, and I'm sure he or she will like either of them just fine. It was nice seeing you guys again."

Rynn gathered up the bloom and the gemstone, calling her feien to her. They followed Sevvie to the door. "Thanks for the lovely time. Come on over sometime!" With that, she walked out, Aria and Ian following close behind.

"Bye! Bye!"

Ian was sitting on the bed, eyeing the bloom. He was trying to see if the bloom would give hints to markings and all. He already knew it would have his black hair and blue eyes. Well, Aria's blue eyes as well. All five would, actually. But it was a toss up on having his hair color. He could think of three, two he had seen in person. One, well, he hoped he'd get to meet.

He glanced at Aria, who was busy making her bed. She was yawning, having stayed up most of the previous night, getting ready for the newest feien's arrival. She was certain it would be any day now. And so, she had slept a good deal of the day away. "Aria," he called, "do you think the feien inside will be square marked?"

She turned from smoothing out her blanket, looking over at the bloom. "It's possible." After all, the bloom was kinda squareish, and that's what she based that on. But then again, it could be marked like she.

Ianios nodded, rubbing his chin. It would be interesting to see this new little one.

The feien returned home, entering the living room. Rynn was there, resting on the couch. Ian flew over, landing on her chest. "We're back."

She opened her eyes, smiling. "Good."

"And we got a surprise." He gestured to the table beside the couch. Aria and Kira had landed there before Ian landed on Rynn.

Rynn looked over, blinking. The bloom was no longer a bloom, but a feien! "Wow..."

"You must be my bond. I'm Kira." She didn't look all that bad.

"Name's Rynn." Now she had three. What a good day...if only she didn't have a sore throat.

"Rynn, Kira's picked out some things at the shop. She wants you to pick them up," Ian said, looking over at Kira. He was proud of her, he was.

The dragoness nodded. "I will. Not tonight...feel like crap. "

"No no, you gotta go now!" Kira burst out.

Aria turned looking at her daughter in shock. "Kira!"

Rynn shook her head. "Calm down. I will soon. That stuff isn't going anywhere. Relax." She looked to the yellow feien. She got the feeling this one wasn't like her other two. But she was sure they'd get along.

Kira sighed. Well, she was sick sounding. She could wait, but she didn't want too. "Show me to my room," she said, sounding demanding. She was tired.

Ian glanced at her. "Kira, just stop. No need to demand stuff. I'll show you, but ask nicely." He was getting tired of her attitude. Newly born or not, he was already sick of it.

The life feien looked ashamed. Well, it was a good act anyway. "Yes, Dad. Please show me?"

Ian nodded. "Alright." He took to the air, leading her towards the bedroom.

Aria looked at Rynn. "I hope it's only a phase."

"Me too."

Ian laid down in bed, tried after the long day. Aria was on the right, Kira on the left. He sighed, caressing the gemstone beside the bed. He was tired, and was asleep in minutes.

The Dream

Ian found himself outside of Celelorien's house, on the balcony. What was he doing here? Cel was gone, Cele a hermit now. He flew over to the door, peering in.

There, in the other room, was Cel! Alive and well! He knocked on the glass door, catching the other feien's attention. Celaien looked up. A broad grin stretched across his face, and he stood, walking over to Ian with his arms stretched out for a hug. When he got closer, though, Ian could tell that this was Celaien grown up - he was once again shorter than him.

"How are you doing, love?" Ian asked, hugging him close. One hand played with his braid.

Celaien just smiled again, drawing the plant feien close. "I'm alright," he said, in a voice that was familiar but somehow different... Deeper, maybe, or just differently toned. "It's not so bad as a gem, once you get used to it," he said, looking out the balcony window. "It's sort of... like your dream. You can shape yourself as anything you want, and pretend, and dream, but nothing real actually happens there."

He smiled wanly. "That's how come I'm an adult now."

Ianios blinked. So this was only a dream? "But...you know you're a gemstone? How?" He knew it was too good to be true.

Celaien smiled softly. "The lack of mobility and skin kind of gave it away," he said, turning back to kiss Ian's forehead softly. "I can halfway sense things around me, or the feien at least. Magical aura and all that, you know. Technically speaking you were just dreaming about me. But I get to influence you just a little bit back, and so now I am talking to you." He laughed, and shrugged. "At least, that's what I think is happening. You could just be hallucinating after all."

Ianios shook his head. "I don't want to be hallucinating. I want you back!" he cried, hugging him tightly. He blinked, holding back tears. He could kinda feel the contact they had, even if it was only a dream. He snuggled close to Cel.

Cel stroked his hair gently. "Maybe you can. I dunno how, I dunno when, and maybe even only here... but I'm never really gone from you. I'm here for you now, as I have ever been. Even while you were grieving, I could feel you there. I'm sorry I couldn't figure out how to talk before now... But I promise I won't leave you alone." He squeezed him close with one arm, the other still petting his hair.

The shorter feien nodded, his hand rubbing Cel's back. "I know. But if this is a dream, I don't wanna wake up. I like having you around. Even though I now have kids with Aria, it's not the same. I want you, I wanted to be raising one of our kids."

"And I wish I could be with you, raising our kids too," Celaien said gently. "But I'm not there anymore. Not now, anyway." He cupped his hand around Ian's cheek. "You have to keep going, for Aria, for Rynn. For your children... and for me." He gave him a gentle kiss. "If there's a way to bring me back, I'm sure you'll find it. I know you will."

Ian kissed him back, holding Cel tightly. "I want too...but I don't know exactly how. There are ancient ones out there. Maybe one of them knows. Some have come back...." He trailed off. "I'd do anything to bring you back. If I can't..." Tears started rolling down his face. "I want you, I don't want to merge with you. "

Celaien squeezed the plant feien close. "Then don't," he said. "If there are others that have come back, there must be a way to bring them back. If they themselves don't know, their bonds probably do." He raised a hand to brush away the tears. "Don't cry, love, you know it breaks my heart," he said softly, kissing the top of his head. "Things'll turn out alright."

Ianios looked up at his love, rubbing his eyes. "You think so?" He thought on that. There was some that had come back, he had heard. They would surely know. He'd have to seek one out.

"I know so," the heat feien replied, embracing him again. "Because even if I don't come back and whether you do or do not merge with my gem... I'm always in your heart, and always in your mind." He gave him a gentle kiss on the forehead.

The plant feien relaxed at that, leaning his head on Cel's shoulder. "I know you are." He sighed softly, wanting to hang onto this as long as possible. He didn't want to wake, to see his beloved in his gemstone state. "I'm going to try to bring you back."

Cel smiled at him. "Then I believe you will."

Ian smiled back, then noticed Cel was fading. "Celaien! What's going on?" he cried, trying to hang onto him.

"You're waking up, love. But don't worry... I'm always here for you, and I'll always be here in your dreams, whenever you want me," he replied, a ghost of a kiss pressing against Ian's lips.

Ian kissed back, Cel fading as he tried to hang on longer. "I love you!" he cried as Cel winked out, and something warm touched his face.

"I love you too, Ian." He opened his eyes, unaware that he had also said that out loud. Aria looked at him, sitting on the edge of his bed.

"Aria..." he said, glancing back at the stone. It hadn't moved, but Ian knew Cel was right, He was always there.

Tomorrow is Aria's birthday, the day she emerged from her bloom. She'll be a year old. Hard to believe. I need to plan something nice for her.

Visit to Rynn's

Sevviekun
Sevvie walked up to the door, cat and feien riding on his shoulders. He checked the address, then knocked at the door more confidently than he actually felt.

Rynn
Rynn hurried over and opened it, grinning. "Sevvie! Come on in! I see your feien has emerged as well! What's his name?" She moved aside to allow him inside. At the table Ian, Aria, and Kira sat, with Ian getting up at the arrival.

Sevviekun
Sevvie smiled at the trio of feien on the table as he came in. "His name is Aleksander," he said. Cosnaidis yawned, then jumped delicately from his shoulders onto one of the table's chairs, Alek on her back. He scratched her ears, then flitted the short distance between the chair and the table.

"Hello," he said a trifle uncertainly. This was, after all, his family.

Rynn
Ianios smiled warmly. "Greetings, Alek!" He hurried over, giving the small feien a hug. Aria grinned. "He looks a bit like you, Ian."

Kira peered at her brother. "So we're related?"

Sevviekun
Alek looked back at her. "I suppose we're siblings," he said, looking from her to the two adults. "You must be Aria," he said, looking at the water feien. "And you're Ianios," he finished, looking up at the one hugging him.

Rynn
Ian grinned. "Smart one he is," he said, breaking the hug. "Feel free to call me Dad or Ian. Whatever you perfer." Secretly he was hoping for Dad.

Kira rolled her eyes. Of course they forgot to introduce her. "I'm Kira."

Sevviekun
Avoiding the issue of what to call his biological father, he looked over at Kira. "Have you figured out what element you are yet??" he asked curiously. He wondered if she might't be the same as his.

Rynn
She shook her head, her hair moving side to side. "Not yet. Have you?" She was curious. If he was one element, she might be the other.

Sevviekun
"I went to the shop yesterday and checked it out. Apparently my element is Life, which I don't really understand since Mom is a water and Dad is a plant..." He shrugged. "Does it feel like you are, too?" He had decided to refer to them as Mom and Dad for now at least, until he decided otherwise.

Rynn
Kira nodded. "Yeah, it kinda does." She glanced back at her parents, smirking. "Seems odd though, but water does help plants grow."

Ian nodded. "I was sure you'd be dual water and plant. I was wrong there."

Rynn smiled at the little group of feien. "I can't wait to meet the other three siblings you guys have."

Sevviekun
"I wonder what element the others will be," Alek mused. "Do you think they'll all be Life-elements too?"

Rynn
Ian rubbed his chin. "Quite possible. It could happen."

Kira was looking over Alek. "Well, you do look a lot like me. But I'm better looking." She flipped some hair back, smirking.

Sevviekun
Alek merely shrugged at that. "You're a girl. You're supposed to look better," he said, sounding just a touch amused. "Anyway, it's not really the outside that matters so much as the inside."

Rynn
Ian smirked as well. "He's got you there, Kira." She just turned and glared at her dad.

Aria looked over at her son. "You do remind me of Ian when he was little. You're adorable."

Sevviekun
Alek flushed slightly, his blue wings fluttering a touch. "Yeah, I guess... but I got your wings and colour," he mumbled, looking at her shyly.

Rynn
Aria smiled and was about to comment when Rynn set down a plate. "Hey, Alek, glad you could come. I know Sevvie wasn't aware, but today's Aria's birthday. The day she emerged from her bloom. Thought we'd celebrate."

Ianios glanced over to the plate. On it was a cupcake. "I don't like sweets, you know."

Rynn handed him a grape. "I remembered." Then she lit the candle she placed in the cupcake.

Sevviekun
Sevvie sputtered slightly into his tea. "It's your birthday?" he asked her incredulously. For some reason the tiny little fairies didn't seem that old. "Well, congratulations!"

Rynn
Aria looked up at Sevvie and grinned. "Yep! I'm a year old!" She grinned, and seeing the lighted candle, she went over to put it out.

"Make a wish and blow it out, Aria." Kira pouted. She still had yet to get her party! Now her Mom was getting one. It wasn't fair!

Sevviekun
"Do we get to sing ?Happy Birthday??" Sevvie asked teasingly, sipping at his tea again. "Hope your wish comes true!"

Rynn
Rynn grinned. "Sounds good to me!" She started singing the song before Aria blew out the candle. Ian joined in and finally Kira, having picked up the words. Aria clapped, then blew out the candle.

Sevviekun
Alek had listened and sort of tried to sing along, but didn?t know the words at all. He wondered if he'd get a birthday party when he was a year old... Eh. "Happy birthday, Mom," he said, smiling at her. It felt weird to call a feien he'd only met ten minutes ago "Mom" but... technically, she was.

Rynn
The water feien smiled, hugging her two children to her. "Thank you, Alek," she said, kissing the top of his head. "Do you like sweets?" Rynn was cutting the cupcake into smaller bites for the feien as Ian munched on his grape.

Sevviekun
Alek tentatively swiped a bit of frosting off with a finger and tried it, then made a face. "I think I'm with Dad on this one," he said, sidling away from the frosting. "But the rest of the cupcake, the part without the frosting, should be okay," he added, not wishing to offend her or her bond Rynn.

Rynn
Rynn nodded, getting a piece without the frosting. She handed it to Alek in an acorn bowl. "I wasn't sure if you were like Ian or Aria. Ian can't stand sweets." She looked to Kira. "Go on, try it."

Kira swiped her finger through the icing, tasting it. She too made a face. "I'm with them." Rynn gave her a piece without the frosting.

"Sevvie, I got a couple more on the counter. Help yourself."

Sevviekun
"I think I will," he said, swishing his tail a bit as he nicked one of the cupcakes.

"The cake itself is really good, Miss Rynn," Alek said after trying a bite of plain cupcake. "Thank you very much." He nibbled happily.

Rynn
The dragoness smiled. "You're quite welcome." She watched her own feien eat, laughing at Ian as grape juice dripped off his chin, down his chest. "Ianios, you're making a mess." She tore a bit of paper towel and handed to him. The green feien blushed, smirking. Rynn took one for herself, eating. "I was hoping that we could get all the family together, for a picture."

Sevviekun
Alek blinked up at her. "Family picture? But I thought there were other blooms, too?" he asked, traces of a frown flitting across his face as he tried to work through this puzzlement.

Rynn
"There are others. I'm wanting to get with their bonds to get all your siblings together. I think it'll be nice."

Sevviekun
"After they've emerged? Or sooner?" he asked, semi-guardedly. He'd been introduced to a pair of parents and a sister already today; he wasn't sure if he could handle many more siblings at the moment.

Rynn
"Soon after they emerged. A week or two, perhaps. Give everyone time to settle in with their bonds." She smiled, reaching out to ruffle Alek's hair with her fingertip. "Don't worry, not going to rush it all at once."

Sevviekun
Alek let the air whoosh out of him in a sigh of relief. He hadn't even noticed he'd been holding it. "That's good," he said. "I mean, because it's a bit confusing right after you emerge, to be introduced to all these people who are your family...." He trailed off, shrugging. "Just... a bit hectic, you know?"

Rynn
Rynn nodded. "I'm sure it would be. But I'm not going to rush it. Only bloom Ian and Aria haven't seen in person is Sundragyn's. But I heard that one has emerged. I just need to contact her."

Sevviekun
"Is it another sister or a brother?" he asked, interested. He finished off his cupcake and fastidiously brushed off his hands.

Rynn
Even her own feien looked towards her in interest. Rynn smirked. "I beleive it was a female. Looks a lot like Kira."

"Another me?" Kira squealed. No no, there couldn't be another her! She was special!

Sevviekun
"Well, you look a lot like Mom and Dad," Alek pointed out logically. "It only makes sense that another girl would also look like them, and therefore like you."

Rynn
Kira nodded. "You look like Dad. Wonder if the next one will be more like him."

Ian rubbed his chin. "Well," he mused, "I wouldn't be surprised if one at least had my wings. Kira's seems to be more a cross between ours. Got the veins like mine."

Sevviekun
"Whereas mine look entirely like Mom's," Alek added, nodding. "Odds are at least one of them is going to have striped markings, too, and maybe one will have green markings." It looked like Sevvie's enthusiasm for science and genetics was starting to affect him after all.

Rynn
Aria shook her head. "No green ones. Rynn took pictures. Care to see?"

Sevviekun
"Sure," Alek said, his curiousity piqued.

Rynn
Rynn went and got the photo album, where she had put the pictures of the blooms. She opened it to the page, letting the feien get close. She glanced at Sevvie. "Did you know I had pictures?"

Sevviekun
"I figured you would," he said, shrugging. "They're your feien's children, after all. I have a photo of Alek's leaf at home."

Alek perused the photos, fingers touching lightly on the leaf he knew to be his. "Well, you still never know," he murmured. "Maybe the green just didn't show up on the bloom..."

Rynn
Rynn pointed out the two she hadn't heard of emerging yet. The chestnut and the wheat-like bloom. "Yeah...who knew that those two would breed with each other?"

Kira looked over at her own bloom. "Boy, I was square."

Sevviekun
"At least you weren?t flat," he told her, grinning slightly.

Rynn
Kira grinned, flipping to Ian's page. "Dad was flat too."

Sevviekun
"At least he was green, like a leaf ought to be," Alek said, laughing. "Still, that's quite a bit of variety in bloom-types."

Rynn
Aria smirked. "Old leafy here was fine." Ian laughed. "People wondered how a feien fit into a flat leaf. Well, two of us know, eh?" he asked, ribbing his son.

Sevviekun
"I still don't really know," he admitted, shrugging. "I was there, sort of, and then I was out. It's kind of odd."

Rynn
Ian nodded. "Hey, did you pounce your bond when you came out?"

Sevviekun
Aleksander blinked at him a bit. "Ah, no, I didn't... They were sort of waiting for me," he said, looking over to Cosnaidis. "She was keeping watch on me and saw when it started."

Rynn
"We were asleep when Ian emerged. First thing I knew, he had pounced Aria, starting her." Ian smirked.

Sevviekun
"Ah. Well I emerged in the middle of the day, so I didn't get much of a chance to pounce anybody," he said, shrugging.

Rynn
Aria smiled, licking off frosting from her fingers. "Well, it was kinda fun. Maybe we could have a sleep over, sometime."

Sevviekun
"Maybe..." he conceded, starting to feel a tad uncomfortable. He wasn't sure he wanted to be away from Sevvie for quite so long yet, even if the feien involved were family.

Rynn
Ian glanced down at his son. "Only if you want to. How do you feel about exploring?" He couldn't wait to go exploring with at least one of his kids.

Sevviekun
"I dunno... I haven't really done any exploring except around Sevvie's house,? Alek replied.

Rynn
"Perhaps one day we can go exploring then. A treasure hunt or something."

Sevviekun
"Maybe..." Alek said noncommittally. "It might be fun."

Rynn
Ian nodded, Kira coming over to Alek, looking up at him. "Hmm..."
Aria looked at Kira, curious at what she was doing. "Kira?" The yellow life feien looked back at her, smiled, then looked at Alek again, before pushing him.

Sevviekun
Alek stumbled backwards a step before regaining his balance. "What did you do that for?" he asked, blinking at her confusedly but tensing in case she was crazy like Sunil. You never knew - yellow wasn't exactly an evident colour from their parents, so even though crazy wasn't either, maybe she was. From the chair, Cosnaidis's eyes narrowed to slits and she let off a soft, rumbling growl.

Rynn
?"Just to see what you'd do," Kira replied. She really didn't care, but he didn't seem the type to attack. The adult feien blinked, both confused at her. "Kira...behave around your brother," Ian warned.

"Tell him you're sorry." Aria crossed her arms. She'd have a talk with her daughter later. Kira sighed, rolling her eyes. "I'm sorry, Alek." She wasn't really. It was on impulse. She didn't care really.

Sevviekun
He narrowed his eyes at her slightly, not entirely trusting her. "And how did you expect me to react?" he asked quietly, but his voice was underlaid with steel. Sizing her up mentally she was shorter, but that didn't necessarily mean weaker - that shove had been enough proof of that.

Rynn
Kira shrugged. "I wanted to see if you'd attack me. See what kind of brother I have." She glanced at her parents. "Seems we're not exactly like either of them."

Sevviekun
"No, we're not. We're children, not clones," he said, trying to bite back a scathingly sarcastic tone. "And whether or not we're alike enough to be friends, we're family. I'm not going to attack you."

Rynn
She just shrugged again. "Up to you." Ian glanced at them, shaking his head. How did he and Aria get such children? "Kira, don't do that again, hear me?" he said. If he had to, he'd put some sense into her.

Sevviekun
"She won't," a sibilant voice hissed, and Cosnaidis rose from her chair and gracefully hopped onto the table. "Sevvie, Alek, I think it's time we took our leave," she said, crouching down. Supposedly it was to allow Alek to climb on easier, but it did look an awful lot like she was getting ready to pounce.

Sevvie looked helplessly at Rynn. "I'm afraid I have to go now," he said ruefully. "We?ll see each other again soon?"

Rynn
Rynn smiled. "Of course. Maybe Kira will have better manners next time." She glanced at Kira who actually cringed under her bond's gaze. Aria hurried over, hugging her son quickly. "Take it easy ok? I love you, Alek," she whispered.

Sevviekun
He hugged back. "You too, Mom. And hey - no hospital, no foul, huh?" he added, looking at Kira penetratingly, before flitting the short distance up to Cosnaidis's back. The cat glanced at Sevvie.

"Coming?" she asked acerbically. Sevvie merely sighed and followed. "Good night, Aria, Ianios, Rynn, Kira," he called back. "Feel free to visit."

Rynn
"Goodnight guys, have a safe trip home, ok?" Rynn said, opening the door for them. Ian waved. He liked the boy, but his daughter....He'd have to teach her manners later.

Sevviekun
"We'll be safe, don't worry," Sevvie called back as they started down the path to their house. Alek waved back for a bit, then nestled down into Nai's fur. It was a cool evening, and he didn't want to catch cold on the way home.

Rynn
Rynn waved, then closed the door. "Now for you, young lady..." she said, addressing Kira.

March 24

Rynn
Ian led the way towards Neruo's house. Lu had called earlier, saying her feien had emerged from its bloom. A boy. So now they had two boys and two girls. He wondered what this one would be like.

Once there, he knocked on the door, Aria and Kira fluttering behind him. He couldn't wait to meet his newest son.

"Think he'll be happy to meet us?" Aria asked.

"I would like to think so. After all, you two are his parents," Kira said, flipping her hair back. He wondered how this one would turn out.

Lucifer Force
Luciel, towering over them but smiling, opened the door. Ah, the parents! And another sibling! Such a cute one, she was! Bowing out of their way, Lu ushered the Feien inside.

Neruo sat in the living room, standing atop a Playstation controller. Still trying his best to dance, he tripped over his own feet. But luckily for him, he regained his balance. Laughing, he began again. Looking up after the song was finished, Neruo waved to them.

"Glad to see you, Aria! And who is this?" he asked, motioning to the newest Feien. Demetrius stood next to Neruo, attempting to play the game as well. He looked up and saw the two newcomers and waved quietly.

Rynn
Aria grinned, Ian settling down near the Playstation. She brought Kira over. "This is Kira. And who do we have here?" He was the same coloring as Kira, and a boy like Alek. She wondered if he shared anything in common with her or Ian.

Kira waved, but her attention was drawn to the game they were playing. "What's this?" It sorta looked like fun and she wanted to try it.

Ianios smiled. It did look like fun. He wanted to try it out as well. "Going to teach us that thing there?"

Lucifer Force
Neruo smiled and gracefully stepped off the Playstation controller. Demetrius followed suit, but not because it was polite. Things were getting too crowded in here. Five Feien in such a small space. The Earthen Feien looked over the green one and his sister briefly. Yellow, like me. he thought quietly.

The heat Feien was busy explaining the rules to Ian and Kira, if she was listening. Pointing to the buttons, Neruo went on. "There are four arrows - up, down, left and right. When the arrows reach the top, step on the correct directional button. Like, if right reaches the top, step on the button on the right." He figured Ian would catch on quickly, and he was much faster. Perhaps he could do the harder songs with practice? Neruo motioned for Aria or Kira to join in, if they so pleased.

Demetrius stepped back to give everyone more room. Kira had strange wings, he noticed. Wings unlike his. But he shared his mother's hair color. His mother sounded sweet. He walked up to her slowly, watching her quietly. "Hello...mother."

Rynn
Ian caught on quickly, Kira watching as well. She watched as her father climbed up on the controller. "Alright, turn this thing on and let me see if I got it." He figured it'd be like a workout. He needed more workouts. Maq would be pleased.

Aria looked down at her newest son, smiling gently to him. "Hello Demetrius. How are you?" He was colored like Kira, but had her wings, like Alek. His hair was blue like hers as well. He was a cute feien.

Lucifer Force
Neruo stepped up next to the controller and used the directional keys to select a medium-paced song for Ian. Nothing too fast, nothing too slow. He then stepped back, giving the Plant feien enough room. He smiled, watching as the song started up.

Demetrius looked up to his mother, so much taller than he. She was, indeed, warm and sweet. But he could never tell her that. "I'm fine, mother.... You?" He still remained softspoken and quiet, seeing as she didn't seem like the type to find it rude. He rather liked her, despite only being around her for a short time. Kira, on the other hand, he did not like so much. She seemed loud.

Rynn
Ian started dancing, trying to keep pace with the song. His feet were flying, and he was laughing. It was too much fun! It was helping with his footwork though.

"I wanna try!"Kira cried, watching her father have so much fun. She wanted to be the center of attention.

"I'm doing well." She liked this one of all her kids so far. She wasn't trying to play favorites, but he was well mannered. She glanced at him, between watching Ian dance on the controller and Kira trying to get a turn.

"Whoa!" cried Ian as he slipped off. He was laughing.

Aria looked at Ian, smiling. "Heh...look at him. Do you like to play the game as well?" she asked her son, smiling to him.

Lucifer Force
Neruo couldn't help but laugh aloud as well, bending over to offer Ian a hand to get up. The heat feien also showed Kira the second controller - the one Demetrius was using a moment earlier. "Kira, you and your father can play at the same time, if you wish. There's another controller for you right over there." He motioned his head in its direction, too, just in case she missed it.

Demetrius glanced over his shoulder briefly. It still felt far too loud back there. "I play...but it's too..." Noisy? Crowded? He didn't know exactly what word he wanted. He thought a moment. "Too busy right now." He looked down at his feet.

Rynn
Kira climbed up on the other controller, looking at her feet. She'd figure this out. It looked simple enough. She started dancing, messing up more than her father. But she was trying.

Ian got up with Neruo's help, laughing."It's hard, but it's fun! A good workout!" He glanced to Kira. "You'll get it!" he called out to her.

Aria smiled. "I see. You like the quiet. I like quiet as well, as does Ian. He can spend hours off in quiet exploration. I like to swim to get some quiet." She noticed he seemed kind of distant. Were all her kids opposite of her and Ian?

Lucifer Force
Neruo nodded in total agreement. "It gets much harder on the upper difficulty levels. I can hardly keep up with the easiest songs!" He laughed, but being slow was all that bad. The heat Feien watched Kira as she danced. She seemed very...competitive. He wondered how her living with Ian and Aria was working out.

The earth Feien blinked himself back to reality. He looked up at his mother and managed a faint smile. "I haven't been around long enough to have hobbies, but... I shall try to find a hobby that is quiet." She wasn't so bad at all. But it did seem odd that she said his father was quiet. He didn't seem like it now. Maybe he's only like this around others?

Rynn
Kira was panting, but she was having fun. She wanted to win this. She watched as Ian kept going, seeming to get better, but tripping a few times as well.

Ian was laughing, enjoying this. It was way too much fun! He'd have to talk Rynn into getting it.

Aria shook her head at Ian. He was enjoying himself. "Ian's not always as loud. Sometimes he's so quiet you'd never know he's there. Kira, though, your sister can be loud. And demanding." She reached out, to touch her son. Would he allow that?

Lucifer Force
Neruo shook his head at the competition ensuing from the game. Still looked like Ian was winning, though. But he felt it would be unfair to cheer for either of them. Instead, he decided to run a few quick errands. "Anyone need water?" he asked, ready to go to the kitchen.

The yellow feien watched intently as his mother's hand reached for his shoulder. He wasn't quite that distant, and allowed it, especially since she was his mother. "Thank you...mom." He stepped up to her and gave her a quick hug. He hoped she understood. It was hard for him.

Rynn
Aria hugged him back as quickly. "You're welcome, Deme." She hoped he wouldn't mind the shorting of his name. "Always welcome to come over and visit you know. Just you and I, if you want."

Ian looked at Neruo for a second, missing some steps. "Sure!" He looked back at the screen, frowning. "Crap..."

Kira nearly laughed at her dad. "Daddy messed up!" She however was getting better.

Lucifer Force
The yellow feien nodded to his mother and turned about, walking off towards the underside of the coffeetable. He just wanted to sit and think. Neruo saw him out of the corner of his eye, but felt it polite to leave the young one alone. Instead, he took off to the kitchen for some water.

Lu stood just inside the doorway, munching on some icecubes. He told his Bond what was needed, and she produced five waterbottle caps filled with water. "If you need more, let me know." she said and smiled. Neruo slowly floated the try back into the livinging room, placing it atop the coffeetable. Deme didn't look up.

"Refreshments are here!" he announced cheerfully.

Rynn
Aria sighed softly. Her poor boy. This was too much for him. She wished he would join in though. He'd have fun, if he gave it a chance.

Neruo had returned with the water, and she flew over, taking one. Ian flew over, taking one as well, drinking it down quickly. The dancing was wearing him out. Kira however kept dancing.

Lucifer Force
Neruo was glad he could help, even though Demetrius wasn't joining in. He had noticed the yellow feien wasn't very social. He hoped the parents wouldn't mind. He smiled as he offered both of the children some water. Demetrius still didn't look up.

"So, would you guys like to borrow the game?"he asked, trying to take Aria's mind off of her antisocial child.

Rynn
Kira took it, stopping a moment to drink it. She looked to her father, who nodded. "Sure! It's a great workout!"

Aria smiled. "That would be nice." She glanced back to Demetrius. She felt so bad for him, and went to him. "Honey?" she asked, kneeling beside him.

Ian looked back at Aria and Demetrius. "What's wrong with him?"

Lucifer Force
Neruo nodded and floated over to the game cabinet, taking out one of the cases for the dance game. He made sure the game was in it by shaking the case lightly. Yup. All there. He returned it to the coffeetable, beside the tray of drinks. He was glad the cases weren't heavy at all.

Demetrius stood up, turning about slowly. He knew his mother was concerned, obviously, since he was her son. "I just needed...some time alone. That's all." He wanted to explain to her that he wasn't the social type, but being polite was important as well. He flitted up to the top of the coffeetable, where everyone could see him. He stood next to his sister, Kira, again. He nodded to her, taking a sip of his drink.

Rynn
Aria nodded, returning with him. She smiled at everyone to let them know Demetrius was alright. Ian nodded.

Kira, however, was looking her brother over. She really hadn't had the chance, since she was playing the game. He looked interesting, a bit like her mother. But he was so quiet. He wouldn't be interesting, she decided.

Ian grinned to Neruo. "Thanks, but we should be heading back. Feel free to come over anytime, we're generally around. I'll return this in a week, if that's alright?"

Lucifer Force
Demetrius calmly watched Kira, deciding that she was much too loud amd bossy for his taste. He'd have to meet the others before deciding whether or not his family was disfunctional.

Neruo smiled. "That's fine with Lu. She told me to let you know that you can take your time with it. If you have any problems, you can come back here and we'll try and fix it." he explained cheerfully. It was so good to have visitors over again.

The yellow Feien bowed slightly to his parents out of sheer politeness. "Thank you for coming." he said quietly.

Neruo agreed. "Yes, thank you very much! It was good to see you again."

Rynn

Ian nodded, picking up the case. "Alright, I'll bring it back in about a week," he said, looking to Aria and Kira. "Ready to get going?"

Aria nodded. "Of course. Thank you for the lovely time, Neruo, Demetrius." She smiled warmly at her son. "Come visit sometime. We'd love to have you over."

Puchiko

"It's still standing! I knew it would be."

"I'm shocked."

"Silence, both of you! Your queen has a headache and demands SILENCE from her subjects!"

Sighing, Nero rolled over mid-air to stare at Div, gradually drifting backwards with a few lazy flaps of his wings. "If Queen Div is feeling ill, perhaps she should return home?" he suggested gently.

"Best idea I've heard in a while," Arturo grunted, flapping past the two and landing neatly on the sill.

"My subjects NEED me for direction!" Div explained, tossing her head regally. "They are naught but lost lambs without my guidance, poor souls. They must know their queen is still around so they shall continue to be happy subjects!"

Nero giggled, though he soon masked it as a cough behind his hand. "Is that how it is?" Seeing Div nod, he sighed and rolled back over, landing not quite as gracefully as his father, but soon straightening himself out. "There!" he said, pushing hair behind his ears. "We're here!"

Div gradually lowered herself down to the windowsill, using Nero's shoulder for balance. With a huff, she rearranged her hair and threw her shoulders back in what she had decided was a queenly manner.

"Where are my subjects?" she asked, with a sniff.

It was too easy. Arturo decided to stay quiet for the time-being. It'd been a while since he last came here.

Nero shook his head and smiled. "Hello?" he called, taking a step forward on the sill. "Anyone here?"

Rynn
Ian flew into the shop, Kira and Aria in tow. The other night had been so weird, and noisy. Maybe now Kira could really pick out what she wanted. He landed on the counter, waiting on them. As he glanced back at the door, he blinked. "Nero?" he said, unbeleving what he was seeing.

RikProwley
At the sound of voices, Simon came darting through the door leading to the back office of the shop -- the door officiously marked "Do Not Enter" and signed "the Management." Simon, being the management, had every right to be in there.

"Can I help you?" Simon called out, squinting towards the doorway.

Lucifer Force

Chatter could be heard outside the window. The yellow feien was first to arrive, his back turned as he landed on the sill. Patiently, he awaited the arrival of the slowest feien on earth, or so he concluded. Neruo, the orange feien, finally landed next to him, towering above the younger fairy.

"And this is the shop!" he announced, making a wide gesture to encompass the entirity of the place. Demetrius looked about quietly, taking it all in with silence. The earthen fairy cast a glance in the opposite direction, spotting three others. And one was...red?

"Who are they?" he asked quietly. Neruo looked about, spotting Nero, a friend. He waved to them.

"Those are friends. Well, the really tall one, anyway. I don't know the other two..."

Puchiko
Hearing his name called, Nero's wings gave a twitch and he turned towards Ian, yellow eyes going slightly wide.

"Oh!" he coughed, then smiled. "Hi Ian. Good to see you."

Div pointed a red hand at the newcomers and grinned maniacally. "SUBJECTS! All my subjects!"

Deciding to ignore the chaos destined to ensue, Arturo glanced off in Simon's direction, an eyebrow raised. He recognized him.

"Salad," he stated, matter-of-fact. "You live with Corvus. What has he been up to?"

Much as Arturo hated to admit it, he was very much out of the loop. It made him uneasy.

RikProwley
Simon blinked. Arturo? He hadn't seen Arturo since... since a long time ago. Certainly since before Christmas, perhaps as far back as Halloween. Simon adjusted his glasses. "I'm afraid I couldn't tell you. We don't live toegether any more." His voice had a nervous depth about it that implied there was more to the situation than this mere statement.

Rynn

Aria and Kira arrived moments later. Kira saw the new feien, hearing the pink and red one say something about subjects. "Say what?" She looked at her parents. "Who's she?"

Ian shrugged. He had never met her. "The dual tones one is Nero. The red one is his father, Artuno. Be respectful..." he hissed.

Aria just waved. "Hi!"

Lucifer Force
It was getting amazingly crowded in here now. He hoped the shop wouldn't be like this, but it happened. Escaping Neruo's watchful gaze, Demetrius flitted over to an unoccupied windowsill to collect his thoughts. Too much was going on, and all he wanted was to think.

Neruo, on the other hand, stood by and watched as everyone interacted. He smiled.

Puchiko
Most unfortunately for Simon, Arturo had a knack for picking up on things such as nervous tremors in one's voice and hesitation between words. However - and this was to Simon's benefit - he felt that now was not the best time to pry.

Then again, was there ever a good time?

"Oh?" he began, raising an eyebrow quizically. "Is that so? May I ask what happened?"

AN UNBELIEVER. Div had to convert her at once! Quickly! Hastily! NOW.

Suddenly Div was right next to Kira, invading her personal space like none another, wings alive and filling the vicinity with a furious hum as they beat back and forth. "I am your QUEEN," she hissed. That ought to explain it!

Oh dear. The Div was loose. Choosing to try and ignore her for now - although he was curious as to who the new yellow feien was - he smiled at Ian and Aria. Oh! And Neruo! And another yellow one. Curious, or so he thought. He gave them both a cheerful wave and an inviting smile before turning back to Ia and Aria. "Hello Aria. Did your bond acquire a new feien? I don't believe I've met the one Div is... introducing herself to."

"Your absolute ruler! Your monarch! Your Q-U-E-E-N!" Div elaborated, speaking a mile a minute.

RikProwley
Simon frowned just a little, not at the line of questioning but in a purely emotional reaction to the subject. "I haven't seen him in three months," he said, and began to fiddle with his glasses. It offered him a good excuse to look away from Arturo.

Puchiko

Little changed about Arturo's expression, save for the corners of his mouth turning down into an annoyed little frown. Clearly, this Simon was not of any use in discovering where the hell Corvus had run off to this time.

"Well," he began, completely deadpan, "Would you happen to know where he is? It's time I paid him another visit."

Who knew what trouble Corvus might've gotten into in Arturo's prolonged absence? Perhaps he had pulled another disappearing act. Had he been gone for three months? Surely that seemed a little extreme.

Lucifer Force
Demetrius sat quietly as all kinds of chatter broke loose behind him. He retreated into his own mind, thinking, planning. He heard his 'older brother' float around behind him, but he was glad the orange feien didn't land near him. Tucking his wings away, Demetrius enjoyed watching the scenery outside. Nothing seemed better.

Neruo was preoccupied with being amused by Div and her ramblings. The orange feien was highly entertained. He wondered what would happen if someone defied her?

Rynn

"Back off b***h!" Kira yelled. "You're too ugly to be queen! That should be me!" She glared at the odd colored feien, rising to her full height. "Such an odd one can't be queen!"

Ian just stepped away from the two, looking to Nero. "Well, she's our daughter. Aria and I had children." He hoped it wouldn't come to blows, but he was getting tired of this from Kira.

Aria nodded. "So far, Rynn said 3 of the others have emerged. We've met two so far. Alek and Demetrius." SHe stopped when she saw her other son. "Demetruis! Come join us!"

Lucifer Force

Demetrius looked over his shoulder, quietly shaking his head. He refused to be anywhere near his selfish sister and her arguementative pink and red 'friend'. He was getting tired of all the commotion.

RikProwley
At that, Simon became positively despondent, suddenly seeming to be very, very far away. "I don't know where he is. He left." Simon fell into uneasy silence, twitching his arms as he attempted to decide whether or not to wring his hands together.

Rynn
Aria frowned, and leaving Ian and Nero, she flew over to Demetrius, landing beside him. "I'm sorry, sweetie," she said softly, reaching to smooth his hair. "Kira's too loud, isn't she?"

Puchiko
Oh.

Wow, kids? Oh.

"That's wonderful!" Nero exclaimed. He nodded fervently, hair and mini-wings bouncing about. "Children and all that. I was wondering why they looked familiar - they resemble you two so much. Congratulations! They're brother and sister then? Oh, that's lovely."

Realizing he had rambled somewhat, Nero coughed and smiled sheepishly. He offered a friendly wave again to Deme, but it slowly died off as he noticed the other feien shake his head. Well - Div was keeping the other one occupied and she seemed to be a bit snippy, so maybe he was better off talking to the blue-haired one anyway. Bobbing a respectful nod to Ian and Aria, he drifted off towards Deme. Only polite to introduce himself!

THAT. INSOLENT. PEASANT. There was going to be blood on the blood feien's hands at this rate - a notion that was all too pleasing to Div.

"How DARE you!" she shrieked. "I'm BEAUTIFUL! And superior to you, you hideous sack of filth! You shall PAY for insulting your queen!"

Quick as lightning, Div reared her hand back, ready to smack Kira across the face provided the yellow feien didn't move aside quick enough.

Arturo was tempted to watch the catfight that was possibly emerging, but he kept his attention on Simon. "He just up and left? No note?"

Then again, as far as Arturo knew it wasn't really in Corvus' character to leave a note.

"Any idea as to where he has gone?" he asked.

Lucifer Force
Two more were coming over, but thankfully, the tallest one seemed civil. He strongly disliked how loud and obnoxious the Queenand his sister were. Standing up and turning around, he smiled to his mother and slightly bowed his head to the tall one. Nero, was it? And the red one was his father.

"Hello. I am Demetrius. You are Nero, correct?" He glanced over at the catfight, sighing.

Neruo floated over to them, too, landing softly beside the taller feien. He smiled in greeting, always liking the company of others.

RikProwley
Now Simon looked completely away, turned faintly pink, and said, "He went with Em. They left Gaia." He scrunched up his nose in upset and embarrassment. "I'm in charge of things here now."

Rynn
Ian nodded back, watching Kira. She moved as Divi's hand came down, quite fast. She growled, her shoulder coming down and intent on ramming the blood feien. She rushed her, ready to beat some sense into her. She wasn't thinking, it was all on impulse.

Puchiko

"That's right," Nero affirmed, smiling. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Demetrius." Nero held out a hand politely towards the new feien, then offered Neruo a huge smile. It had been a while since he had seen the orange feien - he had grown!

Lucifer Force

Demetrius took the hand and gave it a light shake. He wasn't into violence and grand gestures. Neruo gave the taller feien a warm hug, and gave Aria a quick bow.

"I think it's time to be heading home. Thanks for the brief chat, you two." He motioned to Aria and Nero. Wonderful feien, they were. Demetrius nodded to the both of them before taking to the air. He would have to wait for the orange one to follow. Waving to them, Neruo started to float as well.

"Goodbye, guys!" he said cheerfully and started home. The yellow feien looked behind him and waved as well before following.

Puchiko

Div was just as fast. She neatly flipped out of reach - although Kira's shoulder grazed her foot and momentarily knocked her off-balance. With a snarl she landed a good distant away, horn lowered as if she wwere about to charge until -

A red, plastic red rapier pushed her back. Cheesy, Arturo knew, but he could hardly hold a conversation with all this commotion. Holding Div firmly in place by the horn - although the red-skinned feien snarled and slashed furiously at him - Arturo turned back to Simon.

"I'm sorry. As we were saying?"

RikProwley
Simon looked deflated at the prospect of having to repeat himself on an already sore subject. He sighed. "I'm in charge of the shop," he said, that being the one point that he always seemed to fall back on. It seemed to be the only thing he'd truly wrapped his mind around. Even if he never accepted the real truth of Corvus and Em being gone, he did accept his new duties. Even took a bit of pride in them.

Not that any pride was evident from Simon's current behavior. He suddenly had a good understanding of the words of Bilbo Baggins in Em's beloved Lord of the Rings movies: sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.

Now he was reminiscing. He had to stop doing that. Simon swallowed nervously and tried to keep his attention on the conversation at hand while still ignoring the noise of all the other feien talking in the area.

Puchiko

"I believe we've established that, yes," Arturo replied, raising a skeptical eyebrow. "Well, good luck with your duties. You're running an absolute zoo and you have my pity."

Simon truly did. Arturo didn't mind positions of power, but if he were offered control of the feien shop, he'd turn it down. It was time Arturo stopped troubling Simon, however. (And let the maniac clawing at his arm go.)

"Thank you very much for indulging me. If you receive any word or information from Corvus, I'd appreciate it if you told me," he drawled. With a slight nod he released Div's horn - soliciting a squeal of triumph from the blood feien - and took to the air, flapping out of the shop.

Rynn
Aria waved, smiling after her son. "He's a good boy. A little distant, but he's a sweetheart." She smiled at Nero. "You're looking quite well. How's life?"

Kira stood up, smirking. At least she had knocked Divi down. And the red feien had a grip on her. "We can settle this later." She was grinning, itching to take her on again.

Ian just shook his head. "Thank you, Artuno." He wasn't too sure about stepping in between two fighting feien, even though one was his daughter. And that other one had that horn. One could get seriously hurt with that. But if he hadn't stepped in, Ian would have.

RikProwley
Simon sighed, rubbing at his stiff neck. He supposed he ought to try and make it clear to Arturo that he wasn't expecting any word from Corvus, ever, but he just wasn't in the mood.

Then he realized Arturo would be a good person to ask about the portrait Djerod had given him to try and identify who it was Simon was supposed to be banning from the feien shop, but it was too late to ask now, wasn't it? So Simon just sighed more and looked over at the other feien. He supposed he should try to reign in this zoo of his, but he didn't feel up to that, either. At least it was quieting down a bit? He could get around to posting the portrait later. These other feien looked as if they had things they were doing; far be it for him to bother them.

But he could monitor them discretely, so he did just that, settling down onto the counter and pretending to take stock.

Puchiko

"You shall KNEEL BEFORE MY QUEENLY WRATH!" Div screeched. Now that she had been released she was free to continue her assault on this disbeliever!

Unfortunately, Nero had other plans - ones that didn't involve war. Throwing an apologetic look at both Aria and Ian, Nero grabbed Div's wrist and cleared his throat. "I think I should take Queen Div home to cool down. I'm really sorry, Ian and Aria - perhaps I'll be able to see you later! Congrats again on the kids! They're very... interesting!"

Oof. Not very slick, Nero.

"They seem lovely," he added, then dragged off a shrieking Div into the night.

Rynn

Ian looked back at Aria as Nero dragged the shrieking Divi out. She shook her head, and he grabbed Kira's wrist as she stood there smirking. "You, young lady...you're grounded."

She looked up at him. "What?? But Dad! She started it!"

Ianios shook his head. "Don't "But Dad!" me! I told you to behave!" He jerked her towards the door. "We're going home!" With that, he flew out, dragging the life feien with him.

Aria turned to Simon. She smiled. "Hi Simon. Sorry about all that." She smiled gently. "I need to be leaving. Have a good night, ok?"

RikProwley
"Uh, yes, you too," nodded Simon, surprised at having been addressed. He quickly turned back to counting stock.

Rynn
Aria gave the tall feien a smile and flew out, heading back home.

March 25

(Back at the cottage)

Ian got Kira into the house, told her to sit and wait at the table while he kept an eye out for Aria. Once he spotted her heading home, he waved her forward. "Hurry up," he called, his voice clearly agitated. He was fed up with his daughter's behavior. They needed a talk with her.

Aria flew as fast as she could, hearing the tone of Ianios' voice. He was upset, highly upset. She had never seen this side to him before, and was a little frightened by it. Once inside, Ian gestured to the table. She took a seat at the doll's table, across from Kira. Ian took another.

Ian looked at Kira, his bright blue eyes narrowing slightly, his hands folded upon the table top. He was having a hard time keeping his anger in check. She could have gotten seriously hurt. That Divi had a horn and she could have puntured Kira with it. He was worried over her, and angry over her behavior at the same time. Why couldn't they have been blessed with a well-behaved child?

Kira glupped, looking at her father. His anger clearly showed. But it had kinda been fun. She sondered what sort of damage she could have inflected on that odd one calling herself Queen. Her musings were broken by Ian.

"Now, Kira," he began, trying hard to keep himself in check. Wouldn't do any good by yelling, he realized. "I told you to behave and what did you do? You picked a fight with Div."

"But Dad, she's all up in face calling herself my queen! That couldn't go without a fight!" the yellow feien cried. She looked to her mom. "You saw her, didn't you Mom?"

Aria nodded, about to speak, but Ian broke in. "It could have gone on without a fight! You have no idea how embarrassed I was in front of an old friend of mine!" he shouted. His anger was rising. He stood, pacing. "I said you're grounded, and I meant it. Until you learn how to behave around others, it's standing. You're not leaving this house without permission. If Rynn wants to take you somewhere, you'll have to ask one of us first!"

Aria looked to the plant feien, blinking. "Ian, do you think that's wise? I mean, Kira couldn't help that Div got up into her personal space." She was hoping to tone this down, before Rynn heard them.

"She could have not gotten into that fight! If Arturo hadn't stepped in, I would have. And trust me, little girl," he said, looking to Kira, "you wouldn't have wanted me too." His eyes were dangerous slits, showing only the slightest hint of blue.

Kira shrugged. "Bah, I don't care. Do what you want. If I ever see her again, though, I'll kick her a**!" She pounded on the table to stress her point.

Aria looked stunned. Where had the barely week old feien picked up such language?

"GO TO BED!" Ian bellowed, pointing the way towards the bedroom. Both Kira and Aria looked at him, disbelief on their faces. The green one was seething. "Or so help me...." His fists curled and uncurled at his sides.

Kira took off like a rocket, actually a little afraid of what he would do. Once she was out of sight, Ian ank back down in the chair she had just left, his shoulders slumped. Aria got up, walked to him, rubbing his shoulders. "Ianios..." she said softly.

He glanced up at her. "Where do we go wrong? Why is she like this?"

Aria shrugged. She had no idea. "She's her own person, Ian. She has her own thoughts, feelings, personality. She can't help but be different. I wish she was more like us, but she's not. She's her own. We gotta let her make her own mistakes."

Ian nodded. "I guess you're right." He sighed, looking at his hands. He had actually thought about striking the girl, like Div would have done. But that wouldn't have solved anything, would it? He looked back to Aria, smiling weakly. "Let's go to bed, shall we? Maybe in the morning I can think clearer."

Aria nodded, leaning over, kissing his cheek. "Alright. Goodnight, Ian." She took off, heading towards bed.

Ian looked at his hands. If he had strike Kira, he was sure he couldn't forgive himself. Finally, he got up, heading towards bed himself.

Ian was in Rynn's bedroom, holding Cel's gemstone in his arms. He rubbed over the fiery surface, a little saddened. Ever since the dream a few nights ago, he couldn't get Celaien out of his mind. He knew Julius could possibly bring him back, but how to find him? He was a bit nervous even thinking about the ancient.

He looked into the surface of the gem, picturing Cel's face. He sighed, glad he was alone. Rynn and Naaro had practically taken the rest of the household with them to town, but not Liliana. She was somewhere in the house, hopefully emgrossed in a book. He didn't want to be bothered.

He could hear Cel now. "You can do it, Ian. I believe in you." Ianios smiled, wishing he was holding warm flesh instead of a warm gemstone. He truely missed the heat feien. He would give everything to have him back.

He sighed, rubbing the stone's surface. "I will bring you back. I vow it." Now he had to find Julius. He'd find him in the morning.

April 1st

Resurrecting the Stone

Rynn
Ianios flew into the feien shop, over to the message board. He knew there had to be a way to contact Julius, and more than likely it would be written up on the board. He scanned the board, looking for anything.

Finally, a picture of a mansion caught his eye. He read the note, then one underneath. Ah...how to reach Julius. He read it a couple of more times to commit it to memory, then left the shop.

He flew out the gate from Barton, heading north. Once he found the road, he flew down it, looking for the mansion. Once he found it, he turned to the right, following the eastern wall to the garden. He smiled. The garden was lovely. He sorta felt at home. Once inside the gate, he looked for the bell. Upon spying it, he rang it. Now to wait.

RikProwley
The response took a minute in coming. While it was clear the area occupied by Julius was a sort of sub-garden on the vast estate's ground, it was nevertheless a very sizeable space for a feien. The flowers were in full bloom, morning glories climbing across a low stone wall, foxglove and salvia bobbing gently in the breeze, zinnias and gaillardias and lavateras artfully arranged. The little garden was obscured from the main house by several immaculately trimmed hedges. Colored pebble walkways curled around the central cherub fountain and several stone benches with angels carved into the sides sat under the shade of a tall tree.

Julius shimmered into view a short distance from Ianios, drifting towards the bell without the slightest hint of surprise at this stranger. "May I help you?" the ancient intoned. His wings seemed to shine pure silver in the sunlight and the threads of his robes and blindfold glowed with an unearthly light. His earrings sparkled and glinted. Perhaps he had the faintest halo of light about his form, perhaps it was merely a trick of the light, but as Julius drifted forward he seemed to be the most calm and serene figure ever to grace the planet, or at the very least the garden.

He came to a stop before Ianios at the edge of the shade, knowing that whatever magic his presence inspired, the spell would be at least partially broken should he step into the shadowy confines of the little archway where the gate and bell were located.

Rynn
Ianios shielded his eyes slightly with his hands as Julius shimmered into view. He smiled, somehow knowing this was a most powerful feien. He was awe inspiring. Even if he was a sort of god among feien, he was still a feien. Ian wasn't exactly sure how to address him.

"Sir," he said, his voice a little nervous. "I seek a special sort of quest. I have heard among the other feien you give out quests for feien artifacts, bt I am wishing to bring back a loved one from the dead. I have thought about merging with the gemstone Celaien left behind, but I would rather bring him back. Is there a way to go about this? I'm am most certain you would know."

He knew other ancients had been brought back, and he wished the same of Celaien. Surely if anyone knew it would be Julius.

RikProwley
The response was cold, hardly befitting the ancient's radiance: "Who asks for this?"

Rynn
"I, Ianios, do, sir." Now the plant feien thought he wouldn't tell him how to go about it. Maybe he was better off trying to merge with the gemstone. But he knew deep down he didn't want to merge. He wanted Celaien back, if at all possible.

Or maybe he hadn't come to the right feien. He had heard tales of another ancient, maybe if Julius wasn't the right one, this other one was. If Julius wouldn't give him what he asked, maybe the other ancient would.

RikProwley
Julius expression did not change. "Who is Ianios?"

Rynn
Ianios blinked. Maybe he had another way of seeing and he wasn't close enough. So the plant feien flew close, within a foot of the ancient. "I am a plant feien, Sir. Summoned back in June and bonded to Rynn." Granted, Julius more than likely didn't know Rynn was. "I am Ianios, and I ask on behalf of Celaien, who is a gemstone, for a quest I hope that ends in his resurrection."

Ian hoped Julius understood now he was Ianios. He wasn't going to get angry at himor anything. Heck, the poor guy probably knew so many feien he couldn't keep them all straight! Or else he hadn't met a lot of the newer ones.

RikProwley
"That is your name, your element, and your bond," intoned Julius, perhaps a trace sharply on the last word. He was hovering quite still in the air, nothing but his lips moving, and they seemed to move unwillingly at that. "Is that all you are?"

Rynn
Ian thought a moment. "What makes me who I am...my devotion to those I consider friends, even those long gone. My inquisitive nature, how things work, what makes things the way they are. I love to explore things. I want to give Cel the world, cause I love him so. But to do that, I want to bring him back. I was devastated when I came across his gemstone. If I have a chance to bring him back, I am willing to do whatever it takes. That's what makes me all I am." Now he finally understood what Julis was asking of him. Why he'd risk so much for another. It was his love for Celaien that cause him to ask so.

RikProwley
Julius pursed his lips and made a low humming noise. He clasped his hands behind his back. "The magic you seek is black and evil. To resurrect from the dead is against the laws of nature. I cannot recommend such an endeavor, no matter what the reasoning. You cannot bring back the person you once knew. Nothing can." Julius straightened, frowning at Ianios.

Rynn
The green feien blinked. "But who was bringing back ancients?" he asked, curious now. If it wasn't Julius, was it that other ancient? "Like the green skinned one with the blue markings?" He couldn't think of her name offhand. It just left him.

RikProwley
"To resurrect a body is not impossible," said Julius, "but to resurrect a person is. Those feien who have been so far resurrected were resurrected by two rather unfortunate and indiscriminate individuals in whose footsteps it is not wise to follow. They used abominable methods." Julius unclasped his hands and re-clasped them over his chest, pressing his thumbs together.

Rynn
"I understand what you're saying. But deep down, I still want to try and bring him back. He may not be the same, I sort of expect that. I understand I have a chance of failing. The magic may be black and evil, but if I don't try...I'll never know. I am willing to risk it." He glasped his hands in front of him. "But I understand why you aren't willing to give this quest. I'm a bit greedy when it comes to this, but I've never asked for anything else. Might not ever again. I should be happy with what I have, but I still want him back. If I can somehow repay using that magic, I will do it. I am my word, to the best of my ability." He knew there wasn't much of a chance Julius would tell him how to bring back Cel, but he wanted to try. If he failed, and he still had the gemstone, well, he'd merge with it.

RikProwley
"You jump too easily to conclusions," said Julius coolly, changing his hands once again, returning them to his back. It was a disconcerting habit, without any apparent reason. "I have said only what I have said and nothing more. That is a dangerous habit, but to rush into the gaping maw of a wolf for the treasure in his throat is more so. If you move too fast you will not see his teeth."

The Ancient fell into silence once more, waiting as if a stone sentinel.

Rynn
Ianios nodded. It wouldn't be an easy task, but he hadn't thought it'd be as such. "So I should take it slow. Think things through." He nodded slightly, more to himself than anything. He mulled over his words.

"I still want to bring him back. He could do a lot of good in the feien world. This isn't on impulse. I have thought this through. Months even. And in our short lifespans, that is a long time. I want to do this, down to the depths of my soul. Please...tell me how to do this."

RikProwley
Julius took a deep breath, raising himself up (which was pointless given the fact he was floating), and exhaled slowly. "You must first accept that this will not return to you your friend, that he will never be as he once was, and that I can make no guarantees. It may be impossible for you resurrect this gemstone. I know of ways in which it can be done, but none have been used for many years, for to bring back from the dead remains an abomination no matter what the motivating factor."

Rynn
Ianios nodded, listening carefully. He had thoughts of such, that Cel wouldn't be exactly the same, but by how much could he change? He knew there was a chance of failure, as nothing was ever promised.

Maybe he was better off merging? On one hand, he'd be with Cel forever. On the other, well, he'd have Cel with him in person. He sighed, his heart heavy. Now he was having second thoughts. If he merged, he'd never be able to breed again. Which actually was fine, cause there was no other feien he wanted to breed with.

But if he merged, he would have Cel forever. He could be kept alive though him, in a way. There was no guarantee that this quest would even work. But merging...that had a guarantee that would work. Cel would always be a part of him.

"Julius, I have changed my mind. I wish to merge with the gem instead. What you said has finally reached the part of me that was so selfish. The dead...though gone, they're still around, through us that loved them." Tears slipped down his cheeks. "I want to merge with his gemstone."

RikProwley
"Water changes forms many time but never once changes its direction," said Julius sternly. "Perhaps you will know your direction better in a month's time. Return then." With that, Julius abruptly went invisible, shimmering for a split second before completely disappearing. The air was empty; there was no sign that Julius had ever been there at all.

Rynn
Ianios blinked as the ancient winked out of existance. He was right. He went a 180 there. But he had started to realize something. He had a good chance of failing. And Celaien wouldn't be the same as he was before. He had a better chance of merging.

He sighed. Well, at least he knew it could be done. He flew out of the garden and back home. He would definately think on this some more.

April 1st

That afternoon

"Hey Mom?" Kira asked, sitting on the bed as Aria loaded the dancing game they had borrowed from Neruo and Demetrius. She was ready to play. She was wanting to bounce off the walls, she was so bored. The game was a good way to release some energy.

Aria loaded the game into the PS2, closing the tray. As the screen came on and she got where she wanted to go, she looked up at her daughter. "Yes?"

"Where's Dad?" Not like she really cared where he was, as long as he wasn't hurt or anything. She flew down, landing on a controller.

Aria thought for a moment as the game started. Kira started dancing to the music. Would it be wise to tell her daughter? She didn't know if Kira even knew that Ian had a gemstone, or what they were for, or even, what they even were. "He had somewhere to go."

"Oh," came the bored reply. She danced, pressing the buttons with her feet. She kept dancing, her mother eventually joining in.
