Yo, I'm jack.
I have been playin bass for a year now. Erm, I read tabs, I'm one of the people who can't read music... I have a fender/squire P-bass, DR strings two pickups and a levy strap. Not in a band, cuz all my friends are losers, and all they can play is 80s rock (nothing against it's just c'mon, we need more metal, alternative, punk etc.) and they can't write lyrics, and they're dumbasses, so there. Oh my bass is cherry red, and I tend to try to match my bass, so I wear colors that visually match the bass. Hey, can I have that bass players guild banner?
Oh yeah, Info.
Inspirations
TooL, Metallica, System Of a Down, Trivium, Red Hot Chili Peps, ..... gah, brain hurts.
Idols
Flee!, Les Claypool, Paul D'more

Hi there, fellow bassists; I'm the latest new kid on the block smile

My name is Angela ("Sashi" is what my friends and family call me) and I'm 16. I've been playing for almost three years; I started out on Heavy Metal with tabs, then went on to Classical and Jazz with sheet music. I have three basses: a Fender Jazz for all my jazz work of course, an LTD B-50 for playing heavy metal, and an upright bass for classical.

My bass idols are Steve Harris, Henkka T Blacksmith, Jaco Pastorius, Charles Mingus, Ray Brown, Jussi Kainulainen, and Geddy Lee. I play with my fingers and a bow, never a pick because it's a bass for heaven's sake not a guitar.

That's all I can think of for now; see you guys around!

Hello, the name's Caleb and i'm a 16 year old Mississippi boy razz

About three years now, started it when I was in 8th grade.

What model bass do you have?

Personal Influences?

So far I can only say my dad and a friend of mine. My dad for he was the one that supplied me with the equipment so I could practice. I think that if it wasn't for then, I wouldn't even be playing bass now. I appreciate my friend as well cuz he's been playing for several years now and he's the one that introduced me to alot of bass players, such as Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, etc.

Favored Bassist/Idol Bassist?

I idol Victor Wooten for his excellent bass playing, but I idol Stanley Clarke for his excellent song writing.
