Ona wanted to pounce atop of Nereus but remembering he was injured and that she was as little as she used to be she didn’t.

 Nereus tilted his head delicately at the form of Kamea's winged physique against the drifting light, in this kind of lighting and circumstance she seemed almost... angelic. Minus the memory defects and dorkiness, of course. But, still...
Sighing, he turned his head back, wondering if she caught his gaze. Ona looked a little idle, just standing there.
Grinning, he waltzed over to her and turned to Kamea the way she was, tempting her in by waving his paws.
"Ey, ey, Kamea, come on." he teased gently, giving her a little splash.

Kamea giggled, playing coy for Ona's sake, "Oh no, I couldn't!" She smiled playfully at Ona, then splashed back at them both a bit.
"I can play at that too!" She laughed. Then took to the air, hovering over them both. She stayed at a far enough distance so she couldn't get splashed but still talk to them easily enough.

Ona smiled with glee.
“That’s cheating!” She cried out prending to be mad but her smile showed she was faking it. Ona continued to trying to splash Kamea. After awhile she got a bit tired and stopped to take a breather

A gleam in Nereus' eyes showed there was something more behind that playful exterior, something that revealed a scheme underneath. Smiling devilishly, he bent over like a gentleman courting a lady, head arched magnificently, eyes downward to the water.
"You win, m'lady." his voice was fluid and graceful, the whole scene very magical-looking.
But, suddenly, he snapped his head back up, and with the water he had gathered in his mouth beneath him, he let a steady stream of high-rising water hit her in the center of her belly, a childish laugh wanting to escape him for the first time in years.

Kamea laughed and shrieked in an overly dramatic and playful way. "No! I'm wounded!" She looked down into the stream to find a deep enough spot then slowly hovered down and tucked her wings to drop into the water. She played the part of wounded victim well before falling into the water.

Ona ran over and looked at Kamea
“Excellent shooting sir.” She giggled saluting to him as if you was a sergeant
“Surrender or face the consequence.” She told Kamea with a smile

Laughing devilishly, he nudged some water at Ona also, creating even more ripples in the already chaotic surface. There was happiness to be found there, no matter how distant it seemed from what he was used to, he was sure that there was some part of this that was almost like home to him. Honestly, he had only spent a day with them, and they were already so close...
He just wanted to stay like this, forever and ever...
Turning his tangerine eyes to Kamea and Ona, he pranced over, thrashing in the water until he joined them, flashing a sweet smile at the two.

Kamea was giggling as she surfaced, nearly choking herself before pulling herself up enough to trudge up the shore. She grinned at the two of them smiling so mischievously. "You think that's funny, hm?"
She raised an eyebrow at them then shook herself fast to dry, lettng the rampant water drops fling upon the two of them freely.

“Oh yeah, I can play that game too!” One said walking out of the water soaking wet and she quickly ran over towards Kamea and shook her fur right next to her, getting all the water onto Kamea. She then began to run as she giggled.

Nereus squinted his eyes closed and twisted his neck away as Kamea splashed the two of them, frowning with amusement. The brightness that attacked his vision surprised him when he opened his eyes again, and, disoriented, he laid his bare belly against the shore while the bottom half of his chartreuse pelt lay submerged in the ripples, watching in mild interest as Ona also left.
He had no energy to run, and with his injury, the best he could do was keep watching.
Lightly fluttering his eyelids lethargically, he watched the sillhouettes of the two to see what they would do, flicking his tail like a pendulum behind him.

Kamea laughed, enjoying Ona's company, but saw Nereus out of the corner of her eye and she grew concerned. "Will he be ok?" She started towards where he sat.

“ I’ll carry him out of the water.” Ona said walking towards him. Seeing that he was out of energy she knew he couldn’t fight against it.
“Come on Nereus let’s get you out of the water.” She said picking him up

Half-closed tangerine eyes hit two slender sillhouettes as they approached him, and the voices of Ona and Kamea drifted over Nereus gently, like the waves that lapped beautifully at the shore. As the coral-shaded fur approached him, he detected the faint scent of sugar on her and smiled, her comforting smell enough for him to feel better after the temporary wave of nausea. Because no matter how many times she forgot... she was still Kamea, right?
At Ona's remark, he opened his eyes, fully, scrabbling along the small rcoky enbankment to convince her it was okay, his voice shaky as he let himself be carried by the girl that used to be so small and feeble just a short while back,
"O-Ona, I'm fine, really... it could just be the blood loss or something, I really shouldn't have gone into the water, haha," his dry laugh punctuated the warm wind, the wonder of being saved by an Ona he had once taken care of as a girl.

Kamea sniffed at Nereus uncertainly and put a paw to the side of his face, trying to see if he might be too cold from his romp in the water and the loss of blood. "You don't look too good." She blinked in confusion not sure what else to do for him except make him comfortable.
