Suddeny, Mave felt she couldn't breathe. "L... L... I think I know... where she's going to strike..." She felt her chest tighten and she noticably became pale. "The date... the date, the stalker... Oh my God... she's going to kill Yuna!"

((Yay, this is getting interesting! ^_^))
Lukas dropped me off at my small apartment. I opened the five locks on the door, whispered the incantation to lower the protection wall so I could pass, then lifted it once again. Yes, I know, I am a little paranoid when it gets to home.
With a sigh, I put down the keys and looked around. I live in a small one-division-only loft, which is really useful for spell-making. I sure as hell can't afford an apartment with a living-room big enough to hold twelve people in a perfect circle, and here all I had to do was to move the bed and the couch away.
Couch. Kicking off my boots, I fell onto it, recalling the battle to my head. Gosh, I'd felt so useless! The beast...it as gruesome. And it wasn't alive on its own, so all my spells were inefficient - I couldn't touch his vital energy, because he didn't have it. And I was tuck to the rear, watching Lukas putting himself in danger and Deon getting hurt ...sure, he isn't the nicest person I've met, but still it was disturbing.
I looked out the window - the other big advantage of my loft is that I have this huge, huge window facing the east. Great for cheering me up in the morning, also great for moonbathes when they are needed.
The night sky was already starting to pale; in a hour or so, the sun would rise. Even though I was quite tired, there was no point in going to sleep now. Instead, I walked over to the kitchenette and made a good old cup of coffee. Then, I headed for the bathroom, got rid of my stenching clothes and got inside a good, old, warm shower.

(Don't worry Lukas the Gaurdian thing was technically a joke I just needed to add drama. Technically I just get powers from destiny... or... just a sword.)

I was sitting in the hospital and comparing the monsters spectral reading and the one at the crime scene. What I had found was that the creature we fought was not the creature that commited the crime. I decided to try to figure out were that creature came from but I had already checked the W.P.I.S. databases and nothing like this creature existed. Then I had an idea I cross sectioned the spectral reading's and searched the net. I had found what I was looking for. Now since that conversation with Destiny I had decided I'll help Lukas but I am sure as heck not gonna be a freakin body gaurd but, there was something else the coldness that used to blanket my heart was gone I was happy. It was a strange feeling but I knew that it would stay. I pulled out my cell phone and called Lukas's number.

As I knocked on Yuna's door, my cell phone began to ring.
Deon's number.
s**t.
I flipped the phone open and said, "Hang on," then put him on hold, dialing Terry's number. When she didn't pick up, I left a message.
"Terry, it's Lukas. I'm with Mave at my neighbor's apartment. Whatever this thing is, it's going to attack her next. I have Deon on the other line, so I gotta go before he does something stupid." I switched to the other line.
"Okay, before you start rambling on about spectral whats-its, get your a** over to my apartment building. Right next door to mine. Whatever this is... it's going to strike here next. I just have a feeling that it's not going to be that thing that almost killed you. That thing was a once-in-a-lifetime creature, a mutant, a crossbreed of... God knows what. The only thing I can tell you is that it has something to do with a -" I glanced uneasily at Mave "- spider lady. Look, I gotta go." Without waiting for him to respond, I hung up and knocked again.
"Yuna! Open up!"
((NO ONE make up any "history" for the "spider lady." Like I said, Blue-teh-vamp and I have got this semi-figured out... you'll seee... MWHAHAHAHAH!! xd ))

"Well this sucks," I thought as I got out of the hospital bed. So a crossbread mutant I thought as I looked at my laptop. I grabbed my trenchcoat and thought, " Dang I never knew how emo I looked in these cloths." I left the hospital and called a taxi and began my journey to Lukas's apartment building.

I left the shower, relaxing my muscles and stretching. God, it was good to have some rest. Little did I know it wasn't going to last.
As I headed for the bed, I noticed the red signal on the phone. Unread messages. With a sigh, I approached it and pressed the play button. Lukas' voice filled the house. In a second, I was wishing I hadn't, while I pulled on another of my heavy, black, lacy dresses. Ok, I know I'm not exactly goth, but I am a witch after all, and the look comes with the package. Looking around, I quickly grabbed my ingredients bag; it has all the stuff I need to perform virtually any spell, neatly stored.
With a last sigh, I picked up my coat once again and left the houe, sealing it with keys and spells. It was only then that I remembered I still didn't have my car. Luckily, it wasn't long before a cab strode along, and off I was.

Feeling strong in the past couple hours, I kicked the door open. My leg hurt like a b***h, but there was really no time for complaining, now was there?
I held my switchblade in front of me, like a killer in some cheesy slasher flick where the girl's boobs are hanging out of her shirt and she's covered in water because it was raining outside and she's all wet..
Where was I?
Oh, right.
The apartment.
No one was home. There were no signs of a struggle, no blood, no.. nothing.
That is, until the balcony window shattered inwards and the crumpled form of my neighbor landed in a bloody heap right in front of me.
I didn't get to see what had done it. It was gone almost as soon as it had come.
But there was no doubt about it. Yuna's head was tilted at an awkward angle, bone almost poking through skin.
She was so incredibly... dead.

((Sorry it's been so long. I've been really busy ^^))
Nova sighed as she stepped out of Lucas' car, pulling out a set of keys to let herself into her apartment building. Walking up two flight's of stairs, she opened her one room apartment, flopping down onto the bed. As soon as she hit it, she was asleep.
Waking up, she stretched out like a cat, arching her back and purring contently. Standing, she took a quick shower and grabbed a power bar before heading out the door, ready for another day of work. She wondered where Lucas was and how Deon was doing. Even though she didn't like him much, she felt bad about his injuries. Sighing, she walked in and sat behind the book store counter, ready for another long night of work.

As I got out of the cab and walked upstairs my injuries started acting up. By the time I got up to the apartment I saw Lucas crouched over a bloody mass that may have once been a human body. I began to feel sad... wait a second since when did I have emotions. Then the sadness was replaced by anger why didn't I just get here faster I could have saved the person. I walked over to Lukas and said, " We'd better call in an ambulance and get an autopsy. Ohh wait I just remembered you know that thing that nearly killed me, I think its linked to these murders somehow but it could never commit these crimes its to stupid... and... I never had a chance to thank you for saving my life I know I was a b***h and I probably deserved to die.. but I'm gonna help you till I repay my debt."
(Ha Ha Lukas I have feelings now mahahaha)

I glanced at the "strong, manly warrior" with an expression of apathey and hidden, slight anger.
"I accept your sentiments, but do you really think now is the appropriate time?" I said, frustrated. I sighed. "That's not the point right now. That thing that attacked us obviously has something to do with all of this. Chances are, it's - or maybe they're - being controlled by this... 'spider lady.' They're puppets to carry out a bigger, badder wolf's master plan. And this wolf will huff and puff till the house of morality comes down."
I rose from my position next to the mangled corpse and dug out my cell phone once again, calling 911.
My cell phone bill was going to be through the roof.

I glanced around the room while Lukas was on the phone. It was a plain room, with nothing more than hand me down furniture and some salvation army electronics. Then I saw something different an envelope with an old fashioned wax seal. It hadn't been opened but It was wrinkled as if it had seen way to much time in this world. I heard a faint scamper and say a black slim creature about to lunge for Lukas. Then I felt the power rise in my body. I threw myself toward the creature and released the venator from its sheath. I slashed out at its face and knocked it out the window. As I walked to the balcony and looked down it was gone...

"What in the blue <********> do you think you're doing?" I roared, turning on Deon, watching him as he ran to the balcony and looked over. He clutched his blade in his right hand in a death grip. I panted, feeling as if I had just gotten out of a considerably bad fight.
"Well?" I snapped. "What was that back there?"

"Looks like someone wants you dead," I said in a reasonable tone. The creature was to quick to be a human assasin I knew that for sure. I had the venator in my hand by my side. Whatever it was it was gone now but, I was sure it would be back.

My shift ended at 7:00 like usual, and I headed out the door, locking it behind me. I was bored, so I was headed towards Starbucks for some coffee when I heard my name being called. "Nova." It was soft, more like a spoken word then a call. I turned around, alarmed. "Nova." The call came from behind me again, and startled, I felt the shift wanting to occur. I held it back however, the power racing through my veins. I was alarmed, but I began to walk at normal pace again, wanting to get out of the dark alley I was walking down.
I could see the light ahead when the footsteps began. They were soft, a small thunk on the pavement assomeone followed me. I turned, seeign a form that looked human, I began to walk faster. The end ws in sight, a shaft of light coming from a lamp at the entrance to the alleyway. IMy heart pounded when I heard the footsteps behind me quicken as well. Unable to stop the surge of panic that washed through me, I shifted, my now jetblack fur standing on end s I turned to face whatever was behind me.
