((Posting for Ami))
Amuriel smiled and leaned against the wall, watching him build and test the box. "I'm sure I'll love it.. I've never been able to see the world from so far above before." Thinking as she watched him shift forms, she really couldn't imagine how it would be to fly through the sky, but the experience of it would definitely, she believed, be unforgettable. Though as she tried to imagine flying with Maelthra, she wondered exactly how he was going to carry her. She looked over him and wondered... would she ride him as an elf? For her true form was much too large for him to carry. But deciding to wait and see how it would be later, she shifted her mindset. "Are you going to eat now?" she asked, wondering what he would be hunting for his dinner.

Nodding lightly, Maelthra waited a few moments, trying to think of what he should go after exactly. He wasn't quite hungry enough to go after a deer, so he decided that he'll hunt around for some rabbits.
"Yeah, so I'll be back with my food," he said with a soft smile.
While he didn't want to leave her when she just got back home, he knew they'd be able to spend some quality time fairly soon. And quite frankly, he couldn't wait until he could take her into the sky with him and let her experience flight. It might quite feel the same as if she were flying on her own, but he hoped that it would still prove to be a great experience.
"What are you going to do while I'm out?"

Still smiling at the thought of being able to fly with Maelthra, Amuriel pushed back the urge to tell him she would miss him while he was gone. While she would miss him, she knew she would be able to see him again soon, and she didn't want to make a repeat of her embarassing outburst from a few days ago. "Be careful while you're gone, alright?" she replied instead, not wanting to think of how things would be if something happened to him. Shaking her head, she thought of what she would do while he was gone. "I'm not certain..." Thinking, she remembered the morning a little earlier and her short dip in the water. It would be nice, she thought, if she maybe took a little longer swim. It would relax her and soothe the few minor cuts and scratches she received while she was pushing her way through the brambles during her short journey. "Come to think of it.. I think I may take a swim. It would feel nice on a day like today," she responded, nodding.

"That sounds nice. Well whatever you do, I hope you enjoy it.. I'll be back soon Amuriel."
Smiling, Maelthra nodded before making his way out. He was going to be hunting from the ground this time, since he found it a little easier to be going after rabbits and other small prey on land than it is from the air. Still, he probably needed to use his powers to some extent since the rabbits could menuever much better through the forest than he could due to size.
While he was some distance away, he just began to imagine Amuriel swimming peacefully in the water in he elven form. The thought of it would have made him fluster slightly had he been in his own humanoid form. As mentioned before, her beauty just never ceased to captivate him. And while he thought of this, he just hoped that she wouldn't tire herself out while swimming..
I dont' know what I'd do if I ever lost her...

"Have fun with your hunt, Maelthra," she replied, smiling and standing again. She hoped he would be safe while he was gone and that he would find a nice meal for himself. She walked out after him and pulled her dress over her head, lying it on the ground nearby, as she reached the edge of the water.
"Aaah..." she sighed, sliding into the warm water and feeling her cuts tingle slightly. She leaned against the edge of the pool and and closed her eyes, letting her body relax. After a while, when her wounds had stopped twitching, she swam out under the waterfall and tilted her head into the stream of water, pulling down her hair and letting the water massage her face and scalp.
I wonder if Maelthra has caught his supper yet.. she thought, enjoying the feel of the waterfall against her skin.

While strolling through the forest in a fairly alert state, Maelthra continued to think about Amuriel, wonder how she was doing with her swim. He also wondered if she was tending to her garden at all. A smile came to his face from the thought of his companion enjoying her time at their den peacefully.
During this, the corner of his eyes caught some movement on a tree. Two squirrels were scampering around in the distance was what he saw when he focused on them. It wasn't exactly what he was hoping to find, but he didn't mind having a couple of squirrels for dinner. Not too much for an elder, but having eaten quite a bit the day before, he just wasn't too hungry in general right now. So the elder stayed still and eyed the two critters from afar.
Concentrating on their location and as they moved, he created one fireball in midair before launching it quickly at the rodents. Just as he did this, he quickly began to run forward and focused more in case he had missed. And indeed, he did miss to some extent. One squirrel managed to get away from teh fireball that almost seemed to explode with flames upon impact. The other got burnt in its flank, causing it to fall with its injury.
More fireballs flew around as Maelthra tried to basically shoot down his prey, and he eventually succeeded. Panting lightly as the use of having to use his powers on the go like that constantly was a little draining for him, he lightly picked up the scorched bodies of the squirrels and began heading home.

Swimming out from under the fall of water, Amuriel moved to a sunnier corner where she could nap and enjoy the gentle spray from the waterfall. Glancing around, she nodded. The pool would be big enough for her to shift forms in, though it wouldn't allow much room for playfulness. But a nap wouldn't require much movement, afterall, she thought. So she shifted forms and leaned against the sunniest wall, lifting her head and letting it rest on the bank while her elder form floated gently in the water. As she closed her eyes to nap, enjoying the sun and spray, she wondered how Maelthra was doing and if he was being successful on his hunt. She hoped he was, and yawning, she drifted off into a peaceful slumber.

A little later, Maelthra came walking back to their home, gently placing his prey onto the floor momentarily before looking over into the lake to see Amuriel floating against the bank, apparently asleep.
With a smile, he quietly stepped over by her and sat down beside her. Again he just watched her for some time, reluctant to wake her up since she seemed so peaceful napping like that. But in a little while, he leaned over and gently nudged her with his muzzle, feeling something warm from within as he practically nuzzled her like that.
After doing so, he sat back again and continued to watch her.

As she felt something nudge her gently, Amuriel began to awaken. She had been sleeping so well, so now she wondered exactly what was waking her from such peace.
"Hm..?" She blinked awake and looked around, easily spotting Maelthra sitting next to her. He was back! She felt practically overjoyed to see him sitting there, watching over her yet again.
Lifting her head toward him, she smiled and said, "Welcome back. Did your hunt go well?"
Stepping out of the pool, she glanced around, trying to spot his prey. She spotted two small carcasses on the floor and smiled. He had been successful, and he was home now. She shook her fur gently, so as not to spray him with water, and sat down in front of him.

"Yes it did.. In just a little longer, I'll be able to take you into the sky..."
Smiling at the thought, he watched her a little longer before moving over by his kills. They were already charred enough that he didn't need to cook them a whole lot if at all so he just shifted forms quickly to first try and skin them with his new bone dagger. He wasn't sure if one was enough to make the lid to their ice-box, so he wanted to get the hides off of both of them. If one really was enough, then he figured he could use it for something else later on.
"Did you have a good time here?" he asked as he worked at the squirrels' hides.

Amuriel smiled and took a moment to relish in the thought of being able to fly with him. "Just a little longer..."
Shaking her head from the reverie, and she moved closer to him and watched him work at this skins. "It was pleasant enough here," she admitted. "I got to take a good swim and nap, and it helped me feel a little better after that journey earlier today."
Wandering over to her little garden, she glanced down at the herb plants she had gotten earlier. They were still doing alright, but it had only been a little while after all. The true test would be if they survived several days. Though honestly, she would have been surprised if they did not take root in the fertile soil.

Pausing as he skinned the squirrels, he glanced at his bone knife and made a mental note to make it sharper when he had the chance. As he began to work at the hides again, he smiled softly as he listened to Amuriel, nodding lightly to what she had to say.
"That sounds really nice.. I'm glad you got to refresh yourself after being out foraging today."
Glancing up, he saw her checking on her little garden, probably seeing how healthy her current crops were at that time. As he watched her, a small thought came to him.
"Hm... next time I go out hunting... if I managed to come across some deer droppings.. would you like me to bring it back for fertilizer?"

"Hm?" Amuriel turned and blinked at his comment. Fertilizer... it would help. "That sounds nice," she responded, smiling. "The littlelings need all the help they can get right now."
She nudged a plant gently with her nose before walking over to him and lying down near him. Glancing over his prey, she wondered how they would taste. "What exactly did you catch there?" she asked, not able to really see what the charred bodies had once been.

The term Amuriel used for her plants had made Maelthra tilt his head slightly. It was almost like she was referring to puppies or some other young creature instead of some young plants.
"ALright, I'll keep that in mind for my next outing. As for what I got, it's just a couple of squirrels... Damaged some of the trees I got them at, but they should be fine still for the most part.."
Thinking back to when he had finished taking down the second squirrel, he just remembered leaving several charred branches and bushes in that area. With a bit of a nervous chuckle, he tossed the squirrel hides off to the side before cleaning the bone dagger and shifting forms so that he could eat. If he had some eating utensils, it would have been easier to eat the small creatures in his elven form, but that was quite the case, so he just placed himself down before them and started to carefully eat his fresh meal.
