Zy didn't know what she meant by that, he still didn't know how Zander died. He sighed, "Why'd you do it?" Softly, but loud enough fir her to her. "Why did you try to kill yourself?"

Love. There was that word again. Zy realized that because it was the most powerful emotion, it must also be one of the worst to lose. "I'm... I'm sorry." He didn't know what else to say.

"it's not your fault..." her fists clenched. "it's my fault...my own DAMN FAULT!!" she cried, pounding her fists into the ground as hard as she could. she woudl give anything...anythign to hold him in her arms again. jsut to see him again. just once.

Zy could hear the anger and sadness in her voice. He tried to get closer t the mouth of the cave, but his body wouldn't let him. his eyes were getting heavy and his mind began to wonder. he was falling asleep if he wanted to or not. "Don't leave me." He asked Shaon just before he closed hiseyes.

Shaon heard his words and felt pained. she closed her eyes, feelign tears run down her face as she shuddered, the sun in the sky. she eventually fell asleep, laying on the ground. but not before his wordse sunk in: don't leave...you? who would wnat to be...around...soemone like me....?

The faces were back in Zy's mind as he slaughter them one by one. He kept waking up from the nightmares, but his body quickly forced him back to sleep.

shaon slept as the sun slowly traveleed across the sky. she continued to sleep raggedly as the sun began to dissapear into the horizon. she didn;t dtir, and had no dremas. her mind was blank, void of thought as her exhuasted body laid still.

Zys body was finally rested enough for him to be able to move. He got up and sluggishly walked past the entrance of the cave. The sun was gone but its light still covered half the sky. Zy stumbled over to Shaon as she slept. She looks so peaceful. he thought as he watched her for a few seconds. He quickly remembered Janan and went in the cave to get his sword.

shaon maoned, gripping her cloak around herself unconsciously as it got colder. it was hardly worthy protection, but it was the only thig she had left besides the cross dangling on her neck. her eyes opened partailly as she stared at the ground. it seemed dark otu and she wondered where she was.

Zy walked out of the cave with Janan buckled at his side. He felt a clod breeze pass him as he walked over to Sahaon. "Up you go." He whispered as he picked her up to take her inside the cave.

her head rolled to the side as he picked her up, her form limp. even if her wounds were mostly healed, beside the bullet wound, she had no energy the transformaion of a curse werewolf was painful and often left the host incapacitated. she was able to gather that it was night because she looked up in the sky.

Zy gently placed her down and the softest ground in the back part of the cave. He took off his shirt and covered her naked body with it. Zy walked out of the cave and gathered some wood to make a fire. He returned shortly after he had what he needed. Zy placed the branches and dry leaves together and pulled out a rock and flint. Soon, a small fire started up and Zy sat back. Watching Shaon.

Shaon stared at the ceiling. "just as things come into our grasp they seem to dissapear..." she said softly, unaware she'd said it out loud. she paid little heed to the shadows dancing off the craggy ceiling of the cave. she winced her eyesshut when she couldn't stop the tears. her hands clenched into fists again and she wished for the hundredth time that it woudl have been her instead of Zander.

"There are something we are simply never meant to have." He told her as he got t check her forehead. His own words hurt him as he thought about it. "Let Me take a look at that bullet wound, we wouldn't want it to get infected." He said half joking as he lifted the shirt to see better.
