The wind blew through the angels hair as he stood at the base of Durithrills statue, his lance drawn. A sick smile was spread across the warriors face as he stared up at the statue. "Where are you now Shadow?" Geoff said outloud as he looked around, seeing nothing. "Oh, not coming out? Maybe this will make you come out!" The body of Geoff started going through a change. Two white wings shot out of the Angels back as he looked around, almost taunting the dragon. "Oh not even that? How about this!" Geoff grabbed his lance and swung it at Durithills head, as the lance hit the statue..

Geoff woke up, a cold sweat pouring down his face. What was that about? Was that a glimpse into the future? It couldn't be, the angel felt no hate towards anyone is this realm. Of Course, he didn't like that shadow, but to.. The warrior shook his head as he looked around the dark cabin, items in the house, casting shadows throughout the room. Geoff shook his head once again, and layed back down, closing his eyes again.

"You know, I've heard people say that dreams are a portal into a person's mind." said a man's voice suddenly. "That they reveal a person's deepest feelings. I hope those aren't yours." said the voice again. An indistinct black shape stood on the other side of the room from Geoff, made even more indistinct by the darkness that concealed it. It looked vaguely humanoid in shape, but it's edges and features were blurred. Even so, it still seemed to be looking towards Geoff.

Was Geoff still dreaming? Or was the shadow standing only a few feet away from him in reality? "Who are you?" The angel said as he sat up, squinting, trying to see if you could get a better look at the shadow. "And I don't know what that dream was about.."

The figure chuckled slightly and Geoff recieved the impression that it was grinning. "Shouldn't you know?" he said, walking around the room to a window. Even with the moonlight illuminating him, it was still hard to dicern his features. "This would be so much easier if Shadow had taken you down by the statue as I ordered..." he mused to himself. "Name's Durithill Tomsaruka. You should remember it if you're searching for my artifacts."

After hearing him say Shadow, Geoff knew exactly who it was. He smiled and started speaking. "If he would of taken me out? You don't think I was actually gonna use my powers on that guy were you?" Geoff stood up, that smile staying on his face. "I wouldn't go down that easy otherwise." The warrior started walking towards the window. "So your the one that thinks nothing of angels. Nice to finally meet you."

Durithill laughed and even as Geoff drew closer his features remained indistinct. "Two things first. First, I have nothing against our kind. That's right, our kind. I was half angel." he said, his form giving the impression of grinning again. "I have something against what they've done. And second, I know for a fact that your only power is your speed, so that tough guy act doesn't work with me." Durithill turned and walk back around the room, examining the things on the walls and shelves. "But neither matter is the reason I'm talking to you. I'm here simply to warn you. The artifacts you're looking for are quite dangerous. You shouldn't persue it any further."

Our kind? Oh yea right, Geoff had heard something of Durithill being a half Angel. Geoff's mouth dropped as he heard Durithill pretty much call him out on his power and call him weak. "To me." Geoff stopped and watcked closer. "Speed was always better then power." A laugh escaped his mouth. "So why are those artifacts so dangerous? and if there so dangerous, why did you spread them around the realms?"

Durithill laughed again, this time at Geoff's reaction. "Maybe. But all your physical training has left your mind quite susceptible, which is why I can be here talking to you now." he said, tapping his own head with his finger. "And there are two main reasons for my actions. Self-preservation, and to keep the artifacts from even being gathered again. But unfortunatly people have begun finding their long lost sleeping places, so my second goal is in trouble." Durithill stopped and lightly touched some momento of Raine's, its color faded from lack of light. He stared at it fondly for a moment before moving and speaking again. "The point being, absolute power corrupts absolutly. You're best leaving them be."

Another laugh shot out of the angels mouth. "I could be letting you in here right now. Maybe it has nothing to do with my mind." Geoff walked over to him and spoke again. " So what actually happens when everyone collects them. Like say I get all the items, what could they be used for? Is that the absolute power your talking about? Or does it only take one artifact?" Now that the warrior was actually talking to the man that spread the items, he was going to ask as many questions as he needed.

Durithill glanced over at Geoff, and it seemed for a moment as if a piercing purple eye was visable, staring straight through him and at his soul as if it could disect him and learn everything there was about him, as if it could see the true and the false in his words and as if it could see the very inner workings of his mind. The next moment, however, his features were no longer visable, making the eye seem only an illusion. "What happens need not concern you, but know that nothing will occur that will be in your favor." he said in a neutral tone of voice that none-the-less seemed to hold power. He stopped his pacing and turned to face Geoff. "Alas, I fear my time here is at an end. When you awake, you'll have recovered most of your strength, but it'll still take a little time to fully recover. Oh, and go easy on Shadow. He was only following orders." And with that final statement, Durithill and the cabin faded into darkness.

Geoff smiled and watched Durithill and the cabin vanish into nothingness, only leaving darkness. "Bye-"

The angel shot awake again, the cold sweat once again pouring down his face. He used his hands to feel around his face, making sure he had actually snapped back into reality. "Nothing good will come of it.." Now the warrior had to think, should he still persue the items.. or leave them be. "Raine wants to find them.. But Durithill said leave them be.."

What to do..

Raithill yawned and sat up the next morning, early as usual. He rubbed his eyes and looked out at the rising sun, the first few beams of light shinning through his window. He yawned again and got up, walked over to his wardrobe, and looked for what he thought would be a good set of adventuring clothes. After some deliberation, he slipped on a slightly wrinkled, long-sleeved, white shirt and plain, black pants and walked downstairs. He wondered breifly if he should wake for his mother to wake up to make him something to eat, but his stomach choose that moment to rumble and his decided to search around the kitchen instead.

Geoff was awake hours earlier then Raithill, not being able to sleep very well. As soon as the sunbeams shot through the cabin windows, the Angel left to go outside, to see if the statue was still there. A smile crept onto the warriors face as he shook his head. Of course the statue was there, its not like it could've gotten up and walked into the cabin. Geoff laughed as he looked around, seeing maybe, even thou it was morning, maybe Shadow would make another apperance.

"So I'm guessing that he managed to contact you last night?" said a familiar horrible voice as a humanoid figure walked out from behind the statue. It was a near perfect imitation of Geoff. The only differences were the lack of any color except the burning red of his demonic eyes, which quite clearly revealed it was Shadow. "I'm glad he was able to, even though I failed my orders."

Geoff took a step back as he seen a mirror image of him come from behind the statue. "Oh, he didn't seem to mad. Don't worry yourself." He smiled. "And yes, he managed to contact me." Geoff smiled again as he took a step closer to the statue once again.
