MidnightArticuno Actually, anything by James Swearingen. I hate ALL of his music, and we play like, four of his pieces a year!!!! GRRR!!! BURN IT ALL!!!! I think we're playing two songs of his right now for our concert coming up in April...they're actually not that bad.

[ Tak ] Shenandoah. mad Burn in hell. OMG OMG OMG I KNOW!! We are playing it in concert band right now...BORING!! I'm a 3rd trumpet..and we have 60 measures of rest..and yah..I do my hw when we play that song in class.

Durza the Shade Euphonium SIMPLE GIFTS that song should be taken off the marching field, and my band should stop playing it, it friggin sucks It's a decent melody, but it's so overused. xp I think there's some evil force at work that compels certain band directors to stick Simple Gifts randomly into their shows every year. Thank God my BD is original enough to be immune. We are playing that song right now in Concert Band..Its not that bad..Kinda catchy..

nakunohana Alligator Ally, it's just so anoying.... and repeditive. I hate it.... but because the clarinets love it and my director is a clarenet we play it. We played that last year...-_- that song sucks. And the trumpets dont play that much.

I'm a 3rd trumpet..and we have 60 measures of rest..and yah..I do my hw when we play that song in class. Wow, 60 measures? That's like, the entire song. xd I play flute, so yeah... ._. My poor lips. There's nothing I hate more than having to practice and play a slow song.

Wait.... someone said they hated Ceremony Chant and Ritual? I loved that song! whee It brings back clarinet memories.

I dunno... I kinda don't like the piece we were playing today, Brahms Finale.... ooo I hate phantom of the opera just cuz my part is super high but I do like the piece.... it's gonna take alot of practice to get... O and I hate the fact that the teach decided we have to do all of our scales 2 octaves. We don't even have fingerings for most of the notes in these scales but whatever

I hope Into The Raging River dies. Sure it's a nice song, but when nobody can get their parts down it gets REALLY REALLY ANNOYING scream

Deck the halls with chips and sulsa should be burned. I think its a stupid idiotic song and who ever wrote it was wrong it isn't hip and cool its lame and annoying.

I didn't like Chips & Salsa either.... Not enough higher range (flutes) for a Latin Piece.
I actually liked Phantom of the Opera though, I played pic on that... and well... you can imagine my stand partners hearing was shot after we were done with the piece. Piccolo induced headache many a day... but I still love it.
I hate Sousa marches with a passion... but I refrain from saying anything, because I know the French Horn part is worse.
Fables of Faubus.... sometimes. When it gets to the calamity/crazy stuff, it's just too out of whack. But at least it sounded together when we played it on Wednesday for Region Jazz. Still an odd song.
Childrens March, played it last year in Middle School. 112 measures of rest in the flute part in the begining. 112!!!!
Slow songs on flute aren't too bad... unless you're not using your air right. Still gotta use a tiny apature when it's slow.

Bolero should rot in hell. The 2nd clarinets have the same thing for 63 measures. Two notes get really old after 63 measures! scream

Fay3840 Janette Isabela was the worst peice of music I have ever played in my whole life!!! I think it should be shreded, spit on, burned in a cat food can, buried on the side of my house, stommped on, spit on again, put rocks over it, and then smash it with a shuvle!!! Excuse my French, but why the HELL would someone make you play piccolo on some slow, pretty song like Shenadoah?? >_> I don't think it would sound very good. And I thought Shenandoah was a flute-only song. As in, no piccolos... Eh. My old BD was obsessed with that song as well. eek But then he got fired... for things I'm not going to mention. Too creepy. At least the main BD we had actually was cool. rolleyes And not some creepy homosexual. ANOTHER song I hate... Heartland Heritage. scream It reminds me so much of Shenandoah, and it's really slow.
