Nali remained asleep for awhile. the bread that Kertea had made from his alchemy was inside the building on a big leaf that Nali had found.

Kartea had woken up to a sound of a large rock falling down the side of the wall. "I thought that they would have left by now, but it seems they got onto the roof some how..." Standing up, he walked over to the stairs, and looked up.

Hiral opened one of his eyes and said "Why are they so determined to go after us?" Hiral got up from his meditation and went beside Kartea. "It feels like they were, drawn to us for some reason, but normally, wouldn't they follow the scent of blood?" A few things went through his mind. . . .

"I don't really know why. I think they just see us as food." Sighing he walked up the stairs, and took out his staff. "Come on, we cant let them get in here. I have a plan." With that he continued up the stairs, and turned the corner cautiously, as he swung his staff around it to see if there was anything there. "Nope, come on." Walking to the area where the most of the hounds where, standing there for a second, and looking up. "You guys ready for a fight?" He asked as he clapped his hands together, and put the staff to the ceiling. "I will only do this if you guys are willing to fight some more."

Nali had woken up to the sound of the boulder and then she followed Kartea up the stairs. she saw the hounds and immediately got into a defensive position with her long sword.

Hiral drew Kala and Illia, and sood beside Kartea, "I am ready, just get me close." He wouldn't sleep till he knew they were safe.

"Ok then. get read all!" He said as he drew in a breath slowly. He spun the staff in a circular motion as he looked up through the ceiling. "Ahhhhh!" Pushing the staff straight forward, it hit the ceiling, causing the ceiling to explode violently, harming most of the hounds. "They will stop at nothing now, we must kill them all!" He shouted out as he jumbed back a little behind the group, and clapped his hands together again, and placed them back onto the ground.
The hounds had been caught off guard by the explosion, but recovered quickly, they charged into the building targeting the first one they saw, Hiral. Bearing their sharp fangs, and claws they lunged at him.

Nali ran in front of Hiral and blocked the hounds attack with her long sword and stabbed it in the leg with a dagger.

The hound that Nali had attacked yalped some, then lunged at her. Aiming for her arm, it bit down deep into her arm, bitting harder as it held on.
A few of the other hounds had attacked Nali as well, breaking off from Hiral, but some still where going towards Hiral.

Nali did a back flip and knocked them off her for a moment. she backed up and hid behind some rubble. "PLY!" she said and her wounds began to close

As Nali had hid behind some rubble, it gave Kartea a chance to do what he was planning. Smiling some as he had not felt a rush like this in some time, he whispered a few words, then looked up at the hounds. "Die..." He said, as his hands started to glow a fiery red. The ground in front of Kartea had shattered, and flung forward at the mob of hounds, except for the ones in front of Hiral, as he did not want to harm him.

Nali watched and wondered what on earth Kartea was planning. she knew though that she would find out soon enough

Hiral stood still as he saw the ground underneath the hounds shift and move. He guessed it was Kartea's doing. He just stood and watched, he feared that if he moved he would get caught in the fray.

Nali looked up and saw that Hiral was afraid to move. she quickly ran over and grabbed his arm. she pulled him away to behind the rubble she was hiding behind a few moments
