Rowan laughed back in a short, fake manner and smiled awkwardly. Then it occurred to him how cold he felt. In a meager attempt to keep in body heat, Rowan crossed his arms around his chest after pulling his hat tighter onto his head.

Constantine cocked his head and asked,"You sure you're alright around me? 'Cause you keep acting like you're afraid of me and I don't want you to think I'm going to hurt you."
He put his hands into his pockets and kicked at a stone on the ground, sending it flying into a tree trunk where it stayed lodged into the wood. Constantine looked back to Rowan and saw him trying to keep warm.
"If you're cold, I can take you inside. It's warm in the house and Father shouldn't be home yet."

"Oh, no," Rowan's voice was soft from behind his coat. "Don't worry about it." He was quiet after a minute then pulled down the high neck of his jacket that blocked his voice and plainly stated, "I would like to go inside though."

Demons_Son_Dante Dante smiled a little at her thought. "If you had met me two or three years earlier you would not be saying that." He said and then turned to her, his blue eyes bright and piercing. "I apologise for being so abrupt, but you can never be too careful." He said calmly.

He said and then turned to her, his blue eyes bright and piercing. "I apologise for being so abrupt, but you can never be too careful." He said calmly. Dante smiled and looked up to the sky. "The rain does not bother me, I have fought, slept and almost died in the rain." He said, still smiling a little, he looked at Jessica slightly. "Thankfully this kind lady came and offered me shelter."

Constantine took the boy's arm and gently pulled him to the house. "Well, I'm sure you'll be much better off when we get inside."
Once in the house, he saw a stream of blood leading from the kitchen to the stairs down one of the halls. "Wh-What the hell happened here? It looks like the scene of a murder!"

Rowan looked around the house. He opened up his jacket and tapped the brim of his hat up slightly. Looking at the stream of blood, he began thinking of the worst. "Where's your sister?" Rowan asked looking at Constantine with a worried expression.

Valk had looked at her for a moment. "I hope she is alright." He said after a moment. Then looking up to the sky, he watched it, and waited for Charity's mother to come back home.

Constantine gritted his teeth and muttered,"Damn... This blood belongs to Father! I bet it was that one guy that was with Charity. He beat me to him..."
Constantine walked over and took Rowan's hand. "Come with me, We'll go to another place. This smell is going to drive me insane if we stay here."

Charity nodded a little bit and watched Valk for a while. She sat on her knees and said,"Valk... I-I just can't thank you enough for saving me..."

"Oh, okay." Rowan muttered. "Where will we go?" He pulled his jacket close to his chest. The faye wasn't looking forward to going back outside after it was so nice inside.

Constantine pulled the fairy close to his chest and wrapped his arms around his waist.
"Hold on tight, we'll be going very fast in a few seconds. We're going to be going to a friend's house back in town."
Constantine crouched down a bit and kicked off, sprinting out the door so fast that to any human eyes, he'd just be a rustle of the wind. After a few minutes of running, he made it to town and to an three story apartment.
"Here we are," he said, stopping in front of the building and setting Rowan on his feet again. "You alright?"

Charity stared at him and murmured,"But... Still..."
She looked down and said,"I feel like I should do something, anything, to thank you..."
Looking back up at him, she leaned up a bit and wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning her head on his shoulder. "This may not be much... But it's still a way of thanks."

Rowan felt like he'd been punched in the stomach. He panted slightly and glanced several times at Constantine. Then the faye shakily ran a hand through his hair and made a horrible realization. A quiet gasp escaped his lips. Rowan pulled the collar of his jacket up high so it banked the sides of his head and hid his ears. "I lost my hat." He hissed at Constantine with a look of pure terror.
