Four-chan is a person that managed to hack into a database, much like Gaia's, steal usernames and passwords and go to other major sites such as Gaia, Deviantart and Neopets and clean out accounts based on repetitive information. It was a complete take over and chaos. Yeah, sure glad I didn't have an account at whatever was the original site was and that I change my password for each site. stare

Four chan is not a person.
Four channel, or 4chan for short is an image board website based on the Japanese futaba channel, all users are anonymous, they post an image based on the threads topic, this ranges from technology to the dreaded random board, all sort of nasty images are posted all the time, and it's perfectly allowed there. Sometimes, members organize raids to other websites, victims include Gaia and Neopets.
On the other hand, 99.9% of internet jokes come from 4chan.
What's facinating about 4chan is that since everyone is anonymous then anyone is effectively nothing, but together they form a single mind which they call anonymous, they joke about this in the website.
I don't recmend you going in there, I did to see the "single mind" effect, but I blocked all images. 3nodding

Yet, didn't a person calling himself/herself 4chan hack another site though? I know the staff on Gaia posted something along that line here in an announcement a few months back, Duke. Saying they recommend password changes and will block anyone on a first failed attempt that day. It was a major thing.

Nope, that was when 4chan raided gaia over the ORLY hat ordeal because the ORLY owl first appear on 4chan, they felt it was stolen and decided to take their revenge. 3nodding
