Magnolia lifted her hand and orbs of white with touches of green moved to meet the black ones, bumping against them. They popped, one at a time and disappeared, cancelling each other out. She then ran to Dorien, kneeling in front of him, capturing his face in her hands and staring into his eyes, and jerked him into the room she'd made for him in her head.

"Leave it here, whatever that thing in our Kari gave you, leave it with me so that you can stop her, I won't let that prescence take my little girl, do you understand me?" She still had a hold of him in the room, her hands clutching the front of his shirt, shaking him a little. The french doors were open and it was night outside, the room a little different from when she first created it, a little remodelling.

Merlin did as he instructed and was immediately bombarded by images, accompanied by Vincent's voice over. When she disengaged, she licked the wound clean and it vanished then she pulled a dark red kerchief out of nowhere and daintly patted her mouth, "Assuming that is what Troden is after, won't he be destroyed as well?" She asked, the kerchief disappearing onc again.

It was a pleasant surprise for Quinn, seeing his sister. It was a pleasant surprise how she appeared: In a bright flash of light, she and her husband appeared right in front of him. At first Mira didn't recognize him, but then she knew. His body had changed, but he had not. His magic, his aura, they were still his own. But there was no time to talk, sadly, no time to chat and catch up on old times. Mira and Stefan could see that based on the look on Quinn's face. So they shared their memories; they shared them in a way that only Magi know and understand.

And it was pleasant for them both, to know how each others lives had been. There was business to be done, however. And so immediately the three set off back to the Asanti-Sec establishment. It was one quick, well timed Teleportation Spell. It dropped Quinn, Mira, and Stefan all at the front door to the Manor.

And Quinn didn't even bother knocking. He walked right in, and attempted to flag down Lina as she gave out orders. He stopped next to her and looked up, saying, "I'm here to help, Lina. I can't lose my teach yet. I'm not ready for that to happen."

"And we are here to help him." Mira voiced her thoughts, "That won't ever change."

Kanna looked up quickly, her indigo eyes wide and filled with a look akin to fear even as thought she knew this wasn't a dream. With trembling hands she arranged the tangled fabric around her in an effort to cover body as well as her thoughts. Aster should seen a stong woman before him, not this pathetic victim he sees now. If that was the case then why was the only thing she wanted was to run into his arms and cry?

Fighting the tremor she knew would be in her voice, she said, "Troden has committed an act of treason within the Sulla clan. He has-" she gasped as the image of Aster changed into the tall figure of Dorien, his pale eyes looking dow upon her in contempt. A spy upset because she was caught...how pathetic...

"D-Dorien!" she cried out to the illusion before her, "Please, it's not like that. I-" She caught her breath as 'Dorien' grinned and pale orbs turned red. She screamed as she raised her hands, tattoo forming into the real bloodred fans as she readied herself to attack, "You're a lie...all of this is a lie. Troden, you b*****d..." the image of Dorien faded away as Aster appeared back into her sights once again, "Aster's form won't trick me again brother, show yourself or die a coward!"

An aura of Kanna's now tainted spiritual energy filled the bladed fan as it did before the wind became it own blade at her command. Her anger blended perfectly with the pain of having been tricked into thinking she was in the elan realm. She never saw Aster nor Kaz and the others, and this person before was only a Rajen copying her Aster perfectly... "I'll never forgive you for this!" she slashed the air with such force that the dark blade of air created from it was large enough to cut through the entire floor and ceiling as it headed straight for Aster.

Rasuki and Amateru bursted into laughter as their puppet began to attack, the bloodied fans gripped tight her pale hands, each moving fluidly with a dancer's grace and the speed of a warrior. And the tears of a tortured soul. "When do you think they will figure out that the woman attacking Aster isn't the real Sulla Leader?" Amateru asked as the true Kanna continued to attack, in her spell-induced delirium, the phantoms in her mind as the puppet attacked them in real life.

"Oh, I don't think it will take them too long," Rasuki answered, her red eyes gleaming with amusement, "Elves are in tune with many spiritual forces, thanks to Dorien. If this Aster has the skills Troden has told us about, then once he sees her tainted energy, he'll have an inkling of some deception."

"And when they figure that out?" Amateru asked, turning to his sister.

"They'll find an empty Rajaen base." Their laughter was barely heard within the new Rajen base in Lorindel.

Aster frowned and caught by surprise, wheeled backwards as Kanna came at him. He soon stopped his retreat and reached out and instead, grabbed her pinning arms to her sides and lifting her as if she weighed nothing before putting her back to the wall. Goddess it hurt to do that! His body ached but he gritted his teeth and held tight and stared at her. Something was wrong, she felt....wrong....empty. It was one thing that he liked about touching Kanna, he could always feel her power thrumming inside her, he could ignore it if he liked but he felt the sensation comforting, it reminded him that she was there and solid. But this....thing in front of him.

He hissed suddenly, large fangs exploding out of his mouth, the blue of his irises bleedign into the whites of his eyes so that there was only blue and slitted pupils. Those eyes narrowed, "Where is she?" He snarled up at the imposter, "Where is she or by goddess I'll tear you apart limb for limb until you squeal." As his control slipped even more his voice sounded different, deeper, like the base of a radio turned up on high so that it reverberated in one's chest.

Impatient for an answer he sent his power into the puppet, all puppets had strings and he sent it through the strings back to it's orgin to strike out at whowever the puppeteer was, "WHERE?"

Kaz, watchign Aster's glamour start to fall apart took a step forward, "My lord--" Ember grabbed Kaz and pulled her back, the King of the Slaugh had finally lost his temper.

Amadeus clenched his hands and pressed his lips together, "You're not going alone."

Goldie came out of her room, in the process of checking over her gauntlets. She was in her battle armour, gold armour glimmered in the interior lighting. She glanced up at the two men she loved most in her life, her eyes red instead of their usual gold. Her armour still had the red tinges in it too, leftovers of her run in with a demonic Kari, "Okay, then. Let's do this."

"Mona, are you coming as well?" Amadeus called loud enough so that his female main squeeze could hear him, though he didn't need to call very loud; vampires have superb hearing.

Amateru watched quietly as a tear fell down the real Kanna's eye. It was amazing that she could even function with the black dragon's blood flowing through her. The Sulla Leader should have long since lost consciousness, but here she was, pressed against the wall a few feet above the floor... "Sometimes I envy the endurance these vampires have," he murmured as Rasuki snapped the connection shut with a pained yelp. The smell of blood filled the air as he continued, "But as we see now, that is as much of a weakness as it is a strength."

"But Kanna isn't a full-blooded vampire and therefore does not heal as quickly as they do," Rasuki replied as she looked at her hands. The deep wounds from the sudden disconnection of the soul-strings had caused were only a minor inconvenience, "The endurance training she no doubt had to last this long will soon disappear and we will see what raw instincts will do to her beloved Aster. I say that 'weakness' is her strength."

Amateru shrugged and lifted his hand in and almost casual gesture before walking over to the feverish Sulla, "I believe your performance is over little dancer," he whispered as he forced her to look into his eyes, knowing fully well that Aster's own would be reflected back at him, "Lady Kanna is an excellent puppet don't you think?" he asked with a smirk, "But don't think you can save her just yet elf. She has much to lose before then, like her mind for instance..." he chuckled lightly before Aster's connection by knocking the Sulla Leader unconscious. Her body crumpled in a heap as he turned around, "Now, let's see what we can do about your hands..."

The sound of the door opening was quickly followed by Monaleth's calming voice, "I don't think it is my place to go..but Master Tyran is still under Merlin's care. By that alone I shall come to help." she replied, as she walked inside, her mind now as solid as the black she now wore. She remembered Kari as the demon who turned her into a creature known as Sloth, as well as destroying Merlin's first Nocturne, but if Tyran would cut such an important conversation off to help her then she must have changed. And besides, it would be easier to calm down a certain inccubus when the conversation started up again...

Monaleth stood beside Amadeus with a small smile as before linking her arm within his, "Shall we go?"

The puppet crumpled in his hands, like so much refuse, "He thinks I'm an elf." He growled, staring at the wall.

Ember looked down at Kaz and pulled her back as Aster began to laugh.

"AN ELF!" He roared, whirling around on them, "Make ready, Kaz, Ember, I'm calling the Wild Hunt. I have seen my quarry and I hunger for his blood."

"Aster!" Ranier burst into the room, followed closely by his wife and...surprisingly, Obsidian, who had Seth in tow, "Aster, you cannot do this, you cannot unleash the Hunt on Signet City. There are humans there and they will be swallowed up."

Obsidian covered her mouth, it had been a long time since she'd seen Aster lose control of his glamour. The Slaugh, the most feared of the Unseelie Fae, or Dark Fae, were usually the most alien in appearance, as it was, they had the best personal glamour, "Oh Aster...." She breathed.

Aster's completely blue gaze flickered to her and narrowed. His view was blocked by her mother stepping in his way, "Listen to reason. We will find your Lady love, I swear by the darkness that eats all things."

Aster looked stunned for a moment, to make such an oath.....Ever so slowly, his glamour came back into place, his eyes bleeding back to normal.

Everyone else seemed to relax along with him. Ranier stepped forward, "Well send in scouts to poke around first while we plan our next move. I have a feeling they're expecting you to react violently, in a total rage. We'll give them something else to chew on, eh?

Ember moved forward tentatively, "My lord--"

Aster turned to her and blinked and sighed, "I didn't mean to frighten you." He apologized.

"We'll get her back, I'm kind of rearin' to kick some a** too, you know!" Kaz pumped her fist in the air to add levity.

Amadeus's features softened as he smiled, "Thank you." He said quietly before turning a more sobered expression to Tyran, "Lead the way, man."

"Great! But before we can take you up to the surface I have to warn you, things are alot different. So for the first little bit, keep your hands to yourself, stay out of the black part of the street, and try not to smash anything."
Torrent leaned closer to Artanis and whispered, "All three things he learned from experience, so Trust that he knows what he's talking about."

Artanis whispered back. "Why am I not surprised? Although I am rather confused by what he means by the street reference... Anything you'd care to tell me so that I don't have to worry as much?"

"Karrot, I'll fill him in on some basics. why don't you start over on the meal?"
"I knew something smelled like burning...Right, I'm on it."
Karrot went back to the stove and dumped the charred remains of Lunch into a small hole in the ground near the counter, then pulled some fresh meat from the fridge.
Torrent turned back to Artanis and pointed at the fridge
"Technology has advanced quite a bit. That's the Refridgerator, or Fridge for short. Keeps food and drinks cold and runs on Electricity. The ordinary human now has access to electricity on a regular basis as they have harnessed it's power to some extent. Research in other forms of energy has allowed them to create vehicles and devices that operate without any form of magical enchantment.
Now for the Vehicles, Many are large Metal things with wheels. These are Cars. The black area on roads is where they travel, if you stay on the side you aren't likely to get hit. And as for smashing, Karrot smashed one and it's owner Sued him. This society does have a justice system that allowed the owner to force Karrot to pay for a new one, as well as the owner's medical treatment bills. So put simply, don't break things. As for money, what you have is worth alot more simply due to the time period in which it was made. So we'll help you get some good modern currency. Any questions so far?

Dorien's open eyes slowly closed, hiding the faint tint of red amongst the icy orbs as he gently moved Magnolia away from him. What Kari had given was nothing but corruption, just enough to awaken the normally dormant side of Death that had so tormented Signet in the past. He was nothing that Dorien could not fight on his own. He owed his daughter that much.

I have no intention of giving anything that vile to you, Dorien replied slowly as he looked out the window to the landscape beyond, He is my problem and I have beaten him before. What is more important is for you to stay calm and protect the other children, for she will no doubt go after them sooner or later. I expect that she has already approached Tyran....

His matter-of-fact tone hid his frustration well as he continued. He remembered the time when he could have easily destroyed any number of those considered his enemies, children or no. What was he now except a relic of what he once was? It was truly pathetic.

--

Tyran bowed slightly as Monaleth entered, a habit he was sure came from his former Blaydon days. The woman commanded respect almost as much as Lady Merlin and with good reason he would give it to her...as well as the beautiful being in gold nearby. Amadeus may not have understood his reasoning for going away, but he would certainly understand why wouldn't do it again.

With a few quick steps, he stood beside Goldie, taking her hand as he took them all to the source of Kari's plea, confident that all would be well in the end. That confidence was shattered as soon as the dark gates of Dorien's resting place stood behind them and what was left of the cathedral glowed with candles that burned burned with no wick. He didn't even have to see the darkened figure of his sister to know that the darkness had long since taken over, "A trap. I should have known..."

"It is good to see you too dear brother," Kari said with a voice not her own. It was filled with a presence that seemed to envelop them all in its ancient power, making Kari's former evil nature childish in comparison, "Or should I call you Gullible Fool instead? Why else would you come so blindly to my aid? Or should I say Kari's aid? It doesn't matter really for she is my possession now. You shall be Saro's when the time comes."

Kari's merely sat idly upon the Altar that had once held Dorien and herself in Slumber, her black eyes almost pouring into their souls in a careless manner. Their souls was clearly not important to the person inside her, "You wish to have this child's body back? Then I want my own back."

--

"In all honesty, I don't think Troden knows yet," Vincent replied after a moment, "He wants the Ten dead, not the entire world. Salen jsut gave him a little bit more than he asked for." he finished gravely, "But this information should be given to the others after Ashra is back to his old self. They have enugh on their plates already."

[Speaking of Salen, I posted for him in my last post.]

--

Lina looked down and gave them a grateful smile as the Soul Transfer Unit prepared to leave...atleast those going on this mission. Half of the STU would be staying as a back-up incase of an emergency while the other left to find the vessels. They switch periodically to keep everyone as rested as they could be.

"I am glad you and your family have decided to join us Quinn," she began pausing momentarily as Milan entered shortly as well in her full wolf form. All that really showed that she was more than a wolf was the amber necklace she always wore and of course the abnormal size lycan had. She just large enough for Ashra to ride ontop of, and Quinn as well...if she ever let him that is.

"It is good to have on our side as well Milan," the lycan gave the smalest of nods before trotting off towards the restrooms. Lina had given her a long talk about transforming back to her human form infront of others. For some reason it was bad manners to put human clothes back on infront of everyone...

Lina gave a relieved sigh before saying, "We will be leaving as soon as the apprentices appear. And then it is off to Lorindel." Which means having to force my father back to Signet sometime soon... Well, Rike is an apprentice and Malen can probably reign Riken in with fear...

Another sigh escpaed her lips, but this time out of frustration as she said, "Quinn..would you mind taking a small trip to the Desert Nation? There are two people who need to be here that may not know it yet..."
PostPosted: Sat Mar 01, 2008 10:49 pm

"A trip to the desert nation, you say?" Quinn was a little shocked that she would ask him such a thing. It was hard for him to go there, really, because of the ties the Desert and the Valley had to each other. One of the Valley's greatest leaders shared his name, and so it made him uncomfortable at times. "If I must travel there, then I will. Who is it that I'll be retrieving?"

Mira and Stefan stood and watched in silence, curious as to Quinn's reaction to it everything. They, of course, would travel with him. That was no question at all. But how long would it take?

((Whoop, sorry thought I replied with Daystar! >.<))

Daystar had broken out into a sweat, some of her hair plastered to her damp forehead. She was also panting and seemed to be in pain. She took a few deep breaths, working on getting the sudden chill and numbness in her head under control, or at least ignore it enough so shce ould communicate intelligently, "You would rather be under his dominion? He is young and mislead....I had thought you had more of a mind than to let yourself sink to the level of a mindless drone." She gasped. She shrank away from his touch, feeling sick.

Hunched over herself she swallowed carefully and did her best to focus, someone was enduring extreme suffering and being a sensitive empath, she was it was like having someone screaming non stop in her head. Taking more deep breaths she carefully fortified her blocks so that the sensation dimmed considerably, "Someone needs help....and badly." She sighed making an attempt to stand, only to flop back down again, her legs feeling like new blades of grass instead of sturdy limbs.

~~~
Amadeus, didn't seem to be paying attention to at all to the verbal sparring between the siblings. Instead, he was looking around him with great interest, every once in awhile his hands would twitch slightly but otherwise he appeared distracted.
Goldie, on the contrary was glaring at Tyran's sister, golden eyes narrowed, around the pupils was tinged with red. Her gauntleted hands fisted, muscles tense and ready to spring. She stayed silent, though.
~~~

Magnolia sat back on her heels but she didn't break contact with Dorien, keeping her hand on his arm and her mind firmly linked with his, It would be much better if you weren't burdened by it. The room will easily contain it and you can find Kari.

"Mama?" A young voice said from the doorway. Marguerite was there, looking nervous as she eyed her parents.

Magnolia extended her free hand and their youngest daughter ran to her, looking at her father warily. Suddenly she reached out and touched Dorien's shoulder and he'd feel the influence suddenly go away. It was like blowing out a lamp, one moment he was struggling with the dark force Kari threw at him, the next it was just....gone.

Marguerite's green eyes gleamed for amoment before it faded and she snuggled in closer to her mother, her young face peaceful.

The twins had appeared just then, standing side by side just inside the room but they said nothing.

~~~
Merlin rubbed her temples, deep in thought. She checked on her shadow guards she'd put on Lina. They'd disappeared but they were close by, ever vigilant, waiting. Frustration welled in her but she kept her expression smooth, "What can we do?" She asked finally.
Karrot placed two plates of well-cooked tender steak on the counter and straightened, as he walked away his sand wrapped around him and he rose to human height.
"I'm going to the surface. Torrent, when you take him to the surface, Make sure he doesn't use magic. Around here, Humans are ignorant that there is anything but them."
When he reached the door, he opened the closet. Hanging there was one set of black crystal armor, covered in dust. Karrot cleaned it off and put it on.
Karrot stepped out into the street, barely a glace was given in his direction. Humans were always too busy to see anything more than thier meaningless lives...
"My father Rike and no doubt Malen whom you have met already," Lina replied, "He is the current Leader of the Desert Nation, so he will not be hard to find. His is also Fiora's apprentice and therefore must be here to help, but I must warn you that he is a bit...overdramtic." she shook her head in amusement, "He makes his namesake's drama seem trivial."
She then looked at Quinn once more, "Would you be able to bring them here? It would be greatly appreciated."
--
"We can only wait," Vincent answered, "Wait and hope Lucien doesn't move before we can."
--
The confusion left within the Leader was indescribable as Death faded back into his dormant state, letting only Dorian remain. What just happened? Where was the mental battle in his mind, the battle he alone should have fought? Icy orbs looked down at the child who was almost a mirror image of their mother and narrowed.
She may look like Magnolia, but the power within her is mine... he thought frowning deeper before moving away, Your stubborn caring has been passed down to the next generation. Dorien finally said, settling back to his annoyed self as he turned to the twins, Practice your spells. You will be needing them when this foolishness is over for you two will be training hard.
On that note he began to fade away, giving mother and daughter one last glance before he was gone.
Tyran looked at the shell that was Kari for a long moment before nodding, "Where do I find your body?"
Kari looked pleased before lifting her hand. The black flames from each candle settled into her hand, melding together and becoming a dark orb which was soon send to Tyran, "The darkness you now hold will lead you to a Book no one can touch. Bring that book to me and Kari is yours."
The young elf closed his eyes before nodding once more.
Just like a coward to prey on the weak to make ends meet... Dorian said as he appeared behind Tyran, his pale eyes blazing, Not only do you dare to use my own son fir your own goals, but you have desecrated my sacred ground to make this pathetic deal! You will pay for this, that I promise!
Tyran looked at Dorian in disbelief, "But what about Kari?!"
She's already dead Tyran. Her fate was sealed as soon as this being took her over.
Tyran took a step backwards, his dark locks shadowing his face as he looked down, "I...I don't believe that."
Deal with it boy. Even if she was able to be 'saved' she will never be the same.
Tyran shook slightly before his hand holding the ball of darkness closed, allowing the thing to enter his system, "I will save her Father, whether I have your blessing or not."
Dorian looked at him for a long moment before shaking his head, Then you are more of a disappointment than I thought.
Kari began to laugh as the scene ended, her black orbs moving from father and son to the company nearby, "You are witnessing the beginning of the end. As father and son separate so will the bonds of this world be broken. I can't wait to see the end." she then disappeared, the laughter filling the night sky once again.
--
"I lost that long ago. Fifty years to be exact," Salen replied, drawing away from her as she pulled away, "The black dragon now released within him reminds me somewhat of how I used to be. An individual who honestly thought that he could change the world with enough belief, enough will to influence others...but it was never enough. He is unlike me for he has armies at his command and the ability to gain allies with a presence I never had. I am a soldier, born to follow another and now that I have realized that, perhaps now my banishment will be easier."
He made a quick movement to help her as she stood up, but as Daystar went back down, he slowly drew away even farther than before. Salen didn't know how to tell her that he was not the same man that she knew so long ago. That man had been destroyed as soon as Lina's arrow pierced his heart.
Someone needs help...and badly. Salen could only smile grimly at those words, "Your powers of empathy will only bring you reat pain within Signet Daystar, but if you are sensing the emotions I believe you are, than you must have a greater reach than before, and for that I can only pity you." he said after moment before continuing, "It is a woman's pain am I right? She is in Lorindel, a city that I wouldn't wish even my enemies to fall prey to, but do not worry. She is stronger than most and will prevail in the end."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 01, 2008 4:02 pm
[I am sad to say that Rizz is gone and Troden has become single -sniffle- I'll miss her very much....]
"Such words of faith in that particular woman could come from you Salen," Troden said as he entered the room, his tail idly curling as he leaned against the wall, "But don't worry Daystar too much. Lady Kanna is an enemy of our Cause and sadly must be punished before she causes anymore damage."
He then stood up and moved towards Daystar, "Come along sister, I shall help you leve this place and move on t our new base of operations if you wish. There you can rest."
Meanwhile, the Sulla Leader slowly regained consciousness, her indigo eyes still blinded by the spellcast delirium, but Amateru would spare her the horrible delusions for now...She'll just believe that she was in the care of those who care about her...like Tara and Tien.
Amateru sat beside her and gently woke her even more by pressing a cold towel against her sweat-covered head, "Wake up big sister, you've slept long enough." Tien's voice sounded quite natural coming from Amateru's lips, "You gave us all a scare you know."
Kanna waved the towel away as she tried to get up, but her arms weakly fell from under her weight, "Tien...I have to go... Troden, he's a monster, he-"
"Yes yes, we all know how crazy he's gotten, but you can't move nonetheless," 'Tien' replied, "You can tell me later, but only after you have eaten something. We'll still be screwed either way right?"
Kanna could barely growl before Rasuki came into the room carrying a bowl of broth and a chilled container of blood, "Something to help sweat out your illness and the other to ease the hunger your body doesn't know it has yet," Tara's voice replied as Rasuki sat it down next the bed, "And I'm guessing by the look on your face that you just found out you aren't leaving...don't worry, I'll have Jack send whatever message you have, thaat way it'll get there much faster."
Kanna looked at the broth and container in disgust, before looking up at the ceiling, "How did you know I had a message?"
"Kanna, you never leave the Sulla Stronghold without one." the twins looked at each other for a long moment before 'Tara' continued, "Now, what's the message?"
Daystar shuddered with the effort to rebuild the shields around her mind. The unknown woman's agony and rage eased then stopped completely. She sighed, shuddering once again and closing unseeing eyes. She lifted her head her senses spanning outward until they brushed Salen and then Troden just before he spoke. She managed to climb to her feet, with a little help from Troden, "What are you doing here, little brother? Whatever it is, it has fueled the nightmares that brought here in the first place." She asked, her voice holding barely contained steel, "Death clings to you like a cloak, will you add more to your repetoire of doom?" She asked, her blind eyes fixed on Troden's face with that odd expression of focus.
~~~

Marguerite waved at her father just before he left and turned her face into her mother and hugged her. Magnolia was shuddering, her distant gaze fixed on where Dorien had been crouched.

As soon as they father disappeared the twins entered the room and settled on the floor on either side of their mother, offering silent support. Magnolia finally closed her eyes and bowed her head and her sons joined in on the group hug.

"You must do as your father says. Someone has taken your sister from us. Trouble has come to visit." She whispered into Marguerite's hair but the twins heard her clearly.

"Yes mother." Marguerite said.

"Yes mother." That from the twins.

~~~
Irritation flashed behind Merlin's dark red eyes, "Bloody hell..." She growled before her gaze moved over Vincent speculatively, "Well...if we're planning on killing a bit of time...." One perfectly manicured eyebrow lifted upwards.
~~~

Goldie glared at Dorien, "What in the hell is wrong with you, Big Daddy? You just going to give up on your girl? You're playing into her hands, you know, fighting with your son right in front of her. Or is it a him? Whatever, whoever the hell has possesed your daughter is playing you like a violin and you're just standing there taking it? So, like I said at the beginning of my tirade, WHAT THE HELL?!" Goldie threw up gauntleted arms in her exasperation at the two of them but especially Dorien.

"Be calm, Velvet. If I'm correct, Dorien has a temper on him." Amadeus murmered. His hand jerked before he moved to stand on the other side of his sister, "Though I must say I agree. Will you really leave your daughter to the monster that has taken her over? Even if she isn't the same, she will be free."
