"Okay, who can we get to help us?" Emma asked. She looked out the window towards the wood. "Or would we keep this a secret and search it ourselves?" she asked curiously.

"I think so. Can you help me up?" she asked, trying to push herself up from a sitting position but failing miserably. "Once I get up, I think I'll be fine."

Legolas helped her up. He grabbed his sword and his bow.
"Grab your weapons. If anyone asks where we're going it's a recon mission to see if there are any orcs, Uruk-hai, or warg riders out there.' He wispered.

She picked up her quarterstaff, daggers, bow, and quiver of arrows. "Fine with me. Let's get going," she said, starting to walk out the door. She turned around and smiled at him then continued walking.

They walked out the gates of Rivendale. He headed toward the east edge of the forest, the way the army came.

Emma followed him out of the city. She looked after him and kept walking towards the forest. She clutched her stomach, keeping the pain to herself. She smiled as she walked, following the path to the forest.

"Oh, boy, the human's coming with us, what fun," Emma muttered to herself. She kept walking down the path and called back to them. "God, guys, you better hurry up!"

Now's my chance she thought getting up ingnoring the stabbing pain in her legs and quietly sneaking away from the scene. One more step and she could run for it but...of course something had to go wrong. RIght before she took that step she fell down even though she strained not to . It felt like someone or something had shoved a white hot poker in her leg. FIghting hard to keep a cry of agony in she panted staring at the floor too much in pain to do anything else. DO not let that girl leave roared a voice from above them.

"Well let's cross then and head into that forest," Frodo suggested as he went to step into the water.
"There's a barrier up," the girl whispered into Frodo's ear as she held him back from stepping into the water. "Careful."

Emma turned around and looked at the boys. "Come on, guys. Aragorn, your what, almost 90? You should be able to keep up with a lady of my age. And you, Legolas, with your reputation, I figured you would be able to keep up with a youngling like me," Emma said, smiling jokingly at them.

"Sorry." Legolas said. He looked right and saw a small war party, about ten orks, five uruk-hia, and a couple of warg riders. "Think we can take them?" Legloas asked as he knocked an arrow.

Emma looked over at the orcs, urukai, and wargs. "Yeah, we can take 'em. Let's go," she said, holding her staff with both hands in battle position.
