As Lilly watched they seemed to just be talking, then a bit of movment, but not much. She sighed again, Lilly, you left the town to get away from people, not to make friends with the forest people. But I am so lonly out here. Lilly pushed her thoughts away and started to inch forward. Maybe if she was closer she could hear what they were saying.

"...I guess I could always dable with the teachings of my ancestors." Hara said, walking back into the room with Dark in his arms. "The very first two who started the Itaru Clan both used a form of ranged arcane magic. Arankil was especially know in my clan for his inane ability to shower his foes with fire. Remorada was the woman who introduced the Akki to her husband, and he greatly admired her intellect with shapeshiftry charms. She used that knowledge to turn the Akki into the most unimaginable things! ...I'd never be anything like those two, even with a strong Akki like Dark. If I don't grow stronger, she'll turn out to be just a simple house cat." Hara finished, looking down at the purring feline.
"He's right, actually. Hara knows only a few spells for her. Well, he knows others, he just doesn't have the ability to use them. The most he CAN do is shift her into an over-sized tiger. But that has nothing to do with subtlety." Jinx commented as he began inspecting a dagger he had run across on the shelf.

Seiko smiled slightly at Hara and Jinx and then consolted to Hara "How exactly do you train to become stronger with those abilities anyway? I saw what you did, but how could you practice that stuff and be able to get stronger at it?" Seiko just couldn't figure out how it all would work, or how it went together

Lilly was now just below the window. She pressed her ear agenst the wall and closed her eyes tight trying to listen. Why was she doing this? The best answer would probably be that after being in the woods all alone for all these years she finaly went crazy with lonleyness.

Hara smiled as he looked at Seiko.
"That's actually a very good question. You see, when an Akki is assigned to a member of the Itaru clan, you can't just start using just any spell in the book. You have to form a steady bond with the Akki before you can even begin to attempt the first spell. My mother, Dark's former owner, had mastered every spell in Dark's book. Ever since Dark was entrusted to me, I've been working with strengthening the bond between the two of us. But even with a strong bond, I still need to understand the spells and posses the ability to perfom them." Hara stopped to catch his breath. "It gets a lot more complicated than that, but I can't go into much detail on this subject. I'm still trying to fiure many things out myself."
"Hara's not the only one that has to train, though. While Hara's training his mind, Dark has to train her faith in him. ...I once stumbled upon a tome that caught my eye and decided to swipe it. It contained a speck of information about the demon cats, so I handed it over to Hara. If Dark has enough faith in her partner, she can begin to transform herself without him, but only if it's to defend him from harm." Jinx added as he walked over to the bookcase and began searching for the book he spoke of.

Lilly heard a little bit, but she didn't understand any of it. "What are they talking about?" she whispered to herself. She pressed her ear harder agenst the wall as if that would help her hearing. Finally she sat back in the dirt and sighed. "This is stupid. I'm stupid. If I want to talk to people I should just go to the village." She started makeing a circle in the dirt with her finger sighing.

Seiko's eyes widened as she tried to understand everything that Hara was saying, but not knowing anything to begin with made it difficult to fully understand. "Wow. Sounds interesting and complicated. Probably best that you know what you're talking about right?" Seiko said laughing at her own lack of knowledge

"Hara's a bookworm." Jinx stated bluntly as he pulled the book he was searching for off of the shelf. "He's just lucky he has me around to get himself out of tight situations. He might be smart, but he doesn't know how to talk around an angry, upset, knife-bearing jewelry vendor." He said with a grin that bared his short canines. "If you're inerested in the Akki, I suggest you hit this book and try to decipher the hidden lectures. The author of this book knew whom he was messing with when he wrote it. If a strong member of the Itaru Clan found out about it, you could gauruntee the man wouldn't last too long." He sighed, placing the book down on a small table luttered with paper. Jinx's eyes scanned over the papers quickly before he gathered them up and began sorting them, walking into Hara's room as he did so.
"Jinx, would you stop- oh, nevermind." Hara sighed as he placed Dark down on the ground.
"Careful, Hara. You don't want to nag some one who conceals poisons." Jinx called in a cheerful tone.
(yeah, no idea where this is going.)

Lilly sat up agenst the house, still making her circle in the dirt. She was thinking hard. A part of her just wanted to leave, but another part of her wanted to be with people. She groaned, "why can't I just leave and never come back? Why can't I just go? Why do I want to be with people so badly?" she said to herself. She sighed and groaned again and she let her head fall back agenst the house.
When her head hit the wall it made a thump. Lilly bolted up and out of the dirt scared to death about the sound she had just made. It would attract attention. Yes, she wanted attention, but now she was too scared. Then she realized that she was standing in front of the window. She dropped down to her belly under the window. Lilly wimpered on the floor, "What am I going to do?"

Jinx slipped out of the cabin. He huffed a sigh as he leaned against the wall next to the door. He pulled a slip of paper from a small satchel on his belt. He began reading off of the list but stopped short when he heard an unfamiliar voice. Curiousity getting the better of him, he followed the voice to its source, finding Lily by the window.
"Hmm? What have we here? A visitor, I assume?" Jinx said with a grin, leaning his shoulder against the building.

Lilly looked up at Jinx her face getting red, but she couldn't controle her lips which turned upward into a smile. Her heart raced, "ummmmmm," she said trying to come up with a good excuse for why she was here, but nothing came to her so she lamely said, "hi."

Seiko looked at the book Jinx had placed on the table and out of shear curiousity she was driven to walk over to it. Looking over the mysterious looking book she picked it up rubbing her hand over the leather bound book. It certainly seemed interesting enough to her to want to know some about it. Opening the cover of the book Seiko found herself sitting against the wall near the door and reading intently, until she heared a low thump.
A little surprised she stood up to window level catching a glimps of a girl before she dropped out of sight.
Well that must be who I sensed outside... but sounds like Jinx is taking care of it, so I'll just sit here and continue to read
Seiko thought sitting back on the floor leaning against the wall and reading.

Hara watched as Jinx stepped outsde before he placed Dark down and walked into another room. Dark watched as her master walked off into another realm of the home before she padded over to Seiko and rubbing against her foot, curling up at the girl's feet.
Jinx simply grinned at her. "Hello." He spoke, a slight lugh in his voice. "Well, since conversation is low... I'd like to inform you that if you plan on revealing the location of this cottage to the human army... I'm afraid that I'd have to hault your plans permanantly." He said, his face growing serious before a grin spread across his lips again. "On friendlier terms, I'm Jinx."

Lilly's face lost it's color. This was really stupid and she wished now that she was back in her tree. Lilly laughed nervously and then couldn't stop laughing nervously. She felt really stupid. She finally got controle of herself and said, "Oh...n-no I wouldn't do that! I-I'm not even a human." She laughed nervously again, but not as uncontroleable as before. She didn't know why she lied and said she wasn't a human. She was doing a lot of stupid stuff today. "My name's Lilly," she smiled, but it seemed more like a face of fear than happiness. "Maybe I shouldn't have come here..." she looked back into the woods and quickly said, "Maybe I should just go..."

Seiko looked down to her feet where Dark had curled up. She couln't help but smile at the cat, so what if it had some magical gift, it was still adorable like any other cat would be. Not wanting to disturb Dark from at her feet Seiko stayed where she was and only leened down to pick Dark up and place her on her lap, if she wanted to cuddle at least maybe a more comfortable place would be better.
