designergrl Shoot.. I commented in the profile ok.ay, now, but how do you get to the comments on the journal? I don't see a link You click on the journal and when you get inside there will be links to the bottom right. One of those will say 'add a comment' EDIT: actually it will say "1 comment - add" http://www.gaiaonline.com/journal/?u=2803608 this takes you right there

Dharmagirl ananda082001 So far, I see DG's comment in my profile, but no comments in my journal. Which one did you comment on Dhar? (And are you comment on Aria The Wanderer's profile/journal or this accounts?) I just commented in your journal just this second, Ananda. It works ^ but i had just posted. If DG tries now I daresay she'll succeed! Hehe, now I see what's going on. You commented in my main account's journal. I was talking about this account's profile/journal. xd

Ananda and Dhar --
I have now commented in Aria's journal as well as in her profile. In the journal, I said I'd like to know how she survives this three-day period. I don't know a thing about Drows. Are they capable of going for several days without food and water, or did she bring supplies on her journey? Either way, she could cover that info by saying something about how soon she will need to go in search of food and drink.

I think they are like humans in that they need to eat on a regular basis (at least it was so in the dungeons and dragons world.. where she is taking her history) but they are like elves in that they need no sleep .. and they have even better night vision than elves called ultravision.

ananda082001 Yay! My first ever journal comments! heart Hmmmm....I think I'll cover that in my next entry and have her mention her supplies. Super! Details like that always help draw me into a new character and her world. They make her more real to me, more relate-able. I like the detail about the knife, and I hope to know more about her relationship to it as the story progresses. I'm not trying to just flatter you here, Ananda, I honestly feel compelled to read more. It's a terrific start! :edit: oh, and yes! The need to re-supply is a great reason to move her out of the cave and advance the story.

I'd like to add to what DG said above and point out that when you add extra characters to your journal (if you do) you can contrast their need to sleep, etc, with her trying to find something to do while her 'weaker' companions have to recharge.
..you probably knew that I'm just frothing at the mouth here blaugh

well, hey, if she never sleeps, it's no wonder she has uncontrolled fits of rage... take it from a chronic insomniac!
rofl
BTW, one of you mentioned the other day that your mule account was earning more on polls than your older account. I've noticed the same with my GeorgeEliot account.
I wonder if Gaia admins want people to make alot of new accounts, so it looks as if they have more users? That would help out with getting advertisers, wouldn't it?
should I go make another one? twisted

I've never tried something like this before. I've already decided what's going to get her out of the cave. ninja @Dhar- Hmmmm....I'm just now reading a series of novels about the Drow (and specifically Drizzt Do'Urden), He seems to need to sleep almost as much as humans. At least, he sleeps most days, just perhaps not for as long.

She might need a reduced amount of sleep or a whol ehost of other complications. DG, I think that post count has to do with it. If you lie one AVI fallow for a while to get the daily post count to average lower then you get more gold. It's like a reward for not being on too long, to my mind ( i think it favors newbies too) EDIT: if you make a new one then pass some of the gold to birdsong ^ I know your good for it lol and I'm just waaay to lazy to have many avi s!

Kind of like how WoW and EverQuest give players experience bonuses if they haven't been on in a while. That way they don't fall behind people who can afford to spend all day online.

And yes, I suspect it has something to do with server load. They need to keep people from hanging online too long, or they will have to keep boosting their capability and bandwidth. Too bad, so sad. I'm not going to cut my online time because of poll gold.
