Ilphae My new haircut: Not as short as it looked when it was wet (I have really thick hair), but it still looks good IMO. Haircut looks great Ilphae! @Sere: when you coming back from "Holiday in Cambodia?"

@Reivan
Your limit? What exactly is that, I wonder? I don't really recall you ever being present for most official meetings (which you had plenty of notice for, not to mention never bothered to download the necessary programs), you were barely a participant in any recent planning, the wipe, brainstorming, you gave little if any input in regards to changes in rules and infrastructure, and I have had yet to see you use your staff position to do anything related to being a moderator in general. Normally I would bite my tongue and shut up if you'd have just left, but a limit? Seriously? There are REGULAR members here that have put ten times the work into this place that you have.
I gave you a staff position because I thought you had potential, and wanted to help us out. Clearly, that was a lapse in judgement. If you have such a problem with the lack of activity, why don't you go and recruit new members? Why not give throw some ideas into the pot or actually ask the other mods what's on the agenda every once in awhile?
Online communities don't flourish all the time. They require a lot of upkeep-- some of that I am willing to admit I do not have the time to do right now, but I am trying. Maybe I'm insane, but this wasn't just some stupid little game to me. This was my first real home, because I never really had one. There was never a house over my head or better friends than the ones I have made and kept here. I don't think anyone can love this place the way I do. Sometimes I get tired, because it feels like no one else gives a s**t-- so thanks, from the bottom of my heart, for affirming that notion.
I know this is volunteer work. We all have lives. I'm trying to assimilate into a full time illustration/modeling career, and in the midst of all that, I decided to take some time off and see the world. Aglo is now working a new job in London. Phreno is helping me write a novel. Dyrim is trying to get his life back on track, finish his education, and get a driver's liscense. Valatar has returned to his truck-driving gig to make ends meet. Veldrin had to move in with family over some job issues. Uxia's working on college. Drae's had his own ups and downs, which I won't mention out of respect for his privacy. Ching's out there on a boat most of the time throwing in crazy shifts. Quenthal is busy busting her a** to protect ours. Funny that I know where and how everyone is, except you. There are slow times, and people will come and go. If you weren't actually going to help, you could have just said so. But being appointed to do something, saying you'll do it, subsequently leaving all the work to everyone else, and then hightailing because it's not to your satisfaction? I admire that degree of selfishness, truly. What a disappointment. Thanks for nothing.
On that note, anyone else up for the job? =/
