Well, merchandising is a major source of funding for most shows; figure makers and whatnot help the show get made in return for the rights to sell merchandise and profit from it, which is generally considered a win-win situation by the industry as a whole. For now, though, I'm gonna go play EE. ^^ But I'll leave you with this piece of stimulating intellectual observation.
