She stuck her tounge out at him, not mindng at all how childish she was acting. "Oh, you're no fun. Besides, I doubt most people in NYC would know what I'm talking about. Only those who have read Japanese history or who have watched a good bit of Kenshin would know anyway, Mr. Saito-san." She said, saluting him with an expression of mock seriousness. I mean, how serious can you get when you're hanging upside down?

"Ah yes. TV, I'm sure that's a wonderull representtation of my clan. Tell me how many of the samurai do you see In your programs have superhuman powers? because I can tell you I was one of the few, despite what the history books may say about Nobunaga."

"Well, that depends what you mean by superpowers...." She giggled a bit nervously. "Ya see, sometimes anime doesn't necessarily follow the laws of physics....or of science in general. Actually, it hardly EVER follows the laws of science. How else could Ranma jump so high or be so strong?" Neko asked with a shrug.

"exactly. I've heard of a few of the games from this age with nobunaga in and I know that he almost always has superhuman powers nd commands leigons of demons... he didn't command them, he traded people for wealth. Made human sacrifices and bought spanish guns."

"Spanish guns, nifty. Which reminds me, ya ever heard of Inu Yasha? It's a really interesting anime that takes place in the feudal era of Japan." She jumped down from the fire escaped and landed without a sound. "They even have a character called Nobunaga, though he's nothing like what you're describing."

"Oda Nobunaga was the leader of the Oda clan. He took lady noh from the saito clan, turned her against her own family, and destroyed it, and took all of the most powerfull Vassals... Those that would defect anyway. Eventually it was his downfall though. Mitsuhide regained his honor and rebelled against the demon lord, as people called him. But the Saito clan never recovered."

"Sounds like ever so much fun." Neko said, her hadns on her hips. "Sounds like feudal Japan had a whole host of problems."

Haruko nods, "It was a period of Turmoil. But it's over and has been for hundreds of years. I hear Toyatomi were victorioous in the end, under Hideyoshi. He was clever, and helped Nobunaga siege The Saito clan's Home land... I lost contact with the world after Saito was destroyed... and eventually I was sealed away by preists in a bambo thicket I used to 'haunt' and Now I'm a Ronin in New york" He laughs, "Almost sounds like it could be the title of a motion picture"

"Hm, I guess you're right. Ronin in New York does kinda sound like a movie...I wish we could make a movie out of it. We certainly wouldn't need special effects!" Neko said with a big smile on her face. "We could all use our powers!"
((Sorry about the late reply. I was trying to do something with another program.))

((sorry for the extremely late response xp I had to log out earlier.))
Haruko laughs again, "hmm... perhaps that's not such a good idea... I had a deathdealer criticising me for the brutality of one of my attacks last night and I did actually avoid killing the man, or even dismembering him. Two humans were attacking a woman so I disabled them both. Unless they were killed by soemthing else, which the deathdealer in question implied they might be, they shuld both sruvive and, hopefully, be deterred from attempting assault again."

"Well, there is that. I try to avoid hurting others. I'm too moral and compasionate for my own good I swear." Neko said, laughing easily. She then turned somber. "I do not fault you for attacking those men. They should not have attacked the woman."

"I've known nothing but bloodshed, so a broken bone and being rendered unconscious are considered mercifull punishments... the thought crossed my mind to kill them both..." he pauses for a moment, "Compassion is never a weakness, not even in the face of a thousand soldiers. every man there has just as much a right to live as you, and yet you are told to kill them. Hesitation can get you killed... but compassion is a strength beyond survival and physical might."

"I've never been a soldier, and I have no desire to. A promise I made to one of my sisters put me in a bind considering a soldier's life anyway." Neko told him, still serious.

"I have been a warrior and a soldier. And now I am Ronin, without the rules of being a soldier or the motive, but with the skills and training... And I am a demon, and violence is my only nature. It takes every ounce of my strength at times not to be wrathfull... And at times it takes more than that and I cannot controll my rage."

"I grew up in a pretty peacful place. Though I do have a temper, it's usually nothing to fear. I'm too loud anyway. It's the quiet ones you want to look out for." Neko said, nodding.
