Ya know, I was wondering. Everyone knows the myth about pop rocks and soda right? About it causing enough air to be formed to rupture your stomach. (that myth was busted by the mythbusters though, although they said it might be uncomfortable. It took way more soda and pop rocks than a person could reasonably consume to get a rupture) Anyways I was wondering if Diet Coke and Mentos could do it? eek I mean drink the Coke then down a couple mentos. I wonder if it would even work?

Well, assuming the acids of your stomach wouldnt change the composition of the diet soda, the most it would do is make you throw up badly.
If you were super skilled at using all your bodily forces to hold your vomit in, then yes, you may die due to such an event. : O

Guy once tried to get a geyser to come up his throat and out his mouth using Diet Coke and mentos. He ruptured his esophagus and died.

Now THAT is true. Considering your esophagus squeezes the connection to your stomach closed, forcing something up from your stomach so suddenly would be fatal. If the geyser were slow acting, he would merely vomit repeatedly.
