Anie took the glass gratefully and chugged the water with thirsty eyes. Almost imediately, the electronics in the building calmed, stopped sparking, and returned to normal. She yawned widely and gave a satisfied nod. "Thank you!"

Lady Crystal smiled softly at the paper. "I am sorry for that," she said, and then tentatively reached out to put a hand on Lily's. "I an sorry for your friend too. I would understand if you would rather talk to me later."

Contrary to her fears, Vincent actually seemed to get a little warmer under her touch. Again, he stirred very briefly, then fell still, the eyes flicking rapidly under the lids the only immediate indication that he was still alive.
Lily shrugged, face stoic, though she didn't pull away from Crystal's hand. She gave the other a shrewd look, then began to write again. If this is all a ploy to get me to drop my guard, I'll do worse than turn your hair blue. Otherwise, we can talk now. I don't mind.

Ukai's heart raced upon seeing this she layed beside him
"I'm sorry i took so long to get back to you love. My memories are sharper then i knew"s eh said soflty. She kissed his lips gently and smield
"I'll sleep here tonight with you. And i'lls tay by your side untill you wake" she murmmued soflty trailing kisses genly to his ear
"I love you.. and i miss you.. " she whispered into it

"I suppose I deserve that," Crystal said sadly. "But I really would like to be your friend. If I need to do something to prove that then ask it." She looked at Lily seriously. "But do not ask for me to give up Arlen."

A very, very small smile curved Vincent's lips, though he wasn't quite able to fight the dream off yet. He was trying harder than he had been previously, however, and this warmed his skin a tiny bit more.
Lily smiled then, one that was tender and loving as she thought on the man. I won't. she wrote, shrugging. But know that he is my fiance, and I won't give him up either. Not unless he tells me he loves you and would be happier with you. Because that's all I want, is for him to be happy. Even if that means he's not with me.

She caught sight and smiled
"That's my love.." seh said soflty as she shifted pressing her body gently aginst him and nuzzled him purring quietly
"I'm right here and will be when you wake love.. I've beena terrable love to you.. an i need to properly appoligise for it" she said soflty her hands running lighlty over his chest and stroking his stomach
"So please wake.. "

"It's not that I want to take him from you," Lady Crystal said, trying to explain her situation better than she had earlier. "But I need to marry him. Legitimately. And as far as Aeaea knows we need to be happily married by their laws which require only two people per married couple."
Arlen (who I just decided had laid down for a nap earlier) sat straight up, gasping for air. There was something in the dream he had that was shocking, but he couldn't remember it. Trying to pull it back to him, he made his way downstairs, walking over to the cold pancakes on the counter and starting to eat them, apparantly not noticing.

Vincent did, for a moment, seem on the verge of waking. Then, pain wracked his face, and his entire body went rigid; his mouth opened, and he let out a silent scream, arching slightly.
Lily shook her head at Crystal, and shrugged. I don't care. She wrote succinctly, green eyes frank. Then, she too went rigid, eyes going wide and unseeing, the same pain in Vincent's features reflected on hers.

Ukaia's eyes went wide
"Vincent!"s he said in a frightened tone.Her magic went into him automatically.. trying to find him.. soot him.. and fight back hatever demons were hurting him

"Lily?" Lady Crystal said concerned, standing and walking closer to her. "Lily! Arlen, Lily's hurt!"
Arlen shook himself out of his daze and immediately rushed over to her. "Lily? Lily can you hear me?" he asked, gazing into her eyes with a mix of worry and fear.

While the pain of his body was eased, there was nothing she could do for his soul; it was no longer on this plane. He certainly wasn't dead, he'd just been separated from his body, and painfully at that. The last tie had been severed, after almost a week of effort on Xaldin's part, and Vincent would take some time to find his way back. His breath slowed even more, pulse going to almost nothing, and his features were completely slack.
Tears all unheeded streamed down her face as Xaldin made another grab for her, figuring to kill two birds with one stone while she was in shock from what was happening to her 'big brother'. A cry, more animal than anything escaped her throat. Then, simply to throw the mage off of her, she changed into a bunny, huddling inside the pile of her clothes, shaking like a leaf.

Ukaia felt the hollow in her chest.. as his soul was pulled out of the grap of her magic. She didn't know it was his soul of cource.. only that.. he was.. not whole..
"Vincent. Vincent!!!" she cried out
"No vincen't please.. please don't leave me!" she begged him looking at him with wide tear filled eyes.. Her magic still fille dhis body she was to afraid to let it go
"please.." she whispered to him..

"Lily," Arlen said concerned as he fished her out of her clothes and cuddled her close to him. "It's alright, I've got you," he assured her."
Lady crystal looked positively shocked as Arlen pulled out a bunny, well not too shocked once she reminded herself of Lily's ears and tail. "Does she turn into a rabbit often?" she asked, composing herself once again.
"Not that often, but it doesn't hurt when she does either," he said, hiding the concern in his voice to help calm Lily down.

The spirit that had been hovering in the room, trying desperately to warn Lily the past few days to no avail, now tried to reach out to Ukaia. "He can't hear you... he is lost." If the neko could hear the voice at all, it would sound as though coming from a far distance.
Lily burrowed into Arlen's arms, still shaking, obviously frightened of something. The change had, however, been enough to confuse the mage's magic, and she was safe for the time being. She hid her head in the crook of hid arm, trilling quietly, wavering in an attempt to reassure both them and herself that she was okay.
