Your only looking at it from one point of view, and the fact of the matter is if manipulation goes well, no one ever figuires anything out and everyone walks away ignorant as they should, I should know, I do it all the time, the thing about your view is it's soaked in idealism, and from the looks of it, most of us are realisist, and that's just the way the world spins.

If you honestly cared about those 'other people' and what they felt you wouldn't preach so vicariously from only your perspective. If you did care you'd seriously consider why people act that way and not immediately pounce on it with such scorn.

You know how it feels for you to hurt, but you will never ever know how someone else truly feels, any thought otherwise is naive and shows your arrogance to assume that because of your bad experiences you are suddenly the guru of pain and hope.

I understand your frustration, and will go on to rebut it with logic instead of the emotion that you are using as the basis of the above rant.

Am I being an evil manipulative b*****d with what I did? I don't know. It really depends on your viewpoint.

Your viewpoint is as a woman who has been broken up with recently. This doesn't really put you in an impartial view towards men in general.

Auggie's viewpoint is as a random passerby who, when given the barest impertinent details, made a conclusion based on his own past experiences.

My viewpoint is as a friend of the girl in this relationship. A FRIEND. I know many think that it is impossible for a guy and a girl to be just friends, and you can go on thinking that. I don't particularly care. That's not relevant. She is in a relationship with a guy who is emotionally abusive and a cheater. She is stuck in a delusion that he is a saint who would never do anything to hurt her, and is so wrapped up in this fantasy he's created that she can't see the truth of the situation. So, for me, the only one I'm hurting is the a** hole of a boyfriend she has, who already hates me. I have a hard time feeling sorry for him when she's given him two years of her life, and he treats her like a piece of s**t that he stepped on.

So, in answer to your question, yes, I HAVE given thought into how they are going to react. I KNOW what will happen. She will break up with this guy while she's in Italy. I've put a crack in the perfect picture of this jackass, and that crack is going to shatter the entire picture of him eventually. Will it be slower than I want? Yes. But how many people will be hurt? Just one. And I find that acceptable in this situation.

Now, you are also implying that I am doing this for myself. I can assure you that I'm not. Like I said, she's going to Italy at the end of the month. She won't be back until mid December. I go to basic training in Texas right after Christmas. I'm not doing this so that I can have a shot at a relationship. I'm doing this because she deserves better than this jerk. Hell, I even accept that she might resent me for starting the push. I don't care though.

I'm sorry that you got broken up with Shay. I really am. And I know that I'm not exactly being fair by revealing certain aspects of the situation now that weren't before. But I would appreciate it if you gave some of the men out there a little more credit.

In a nutshell: Shay was biased about something that was being discussed and it struck a nerve and Shay kind of freaked out via above b***h rant(s).

Shay you have every right to say what you did but you could have phrased what you said a bit better. When i read your rant i was on your side sort of. You made it seem like all men were evil and bad and well i know you may not have meant all but it kind of hurt casue i've never raised a hand or my voice to any women and the only guys i've ever hit was in a boxing match. Please don't take this in a bad way i am prasieing but just saying please try to better phrase what you said.
