Woah, different planet? Ok, this just got all kinds of different...
**crosses arms and stands in a thoughtful but confused manner**
What a day. Ok, I'm from a small island off the west coast of Africa on a planet called Earth. Morocco would be the closest nation if it wasn't for the fact that national and political borders collapsed about ten years ago.
I never expected to end up in a place that shared Her name, especially another planet.

::It wasnt that he wasnt listening, it was that he was listening but he picked out the parts of sentences that struck him first, he listened like he read books.::
Her? Who's name?
::Hers. Mother, sisters,...lovers. If Gaia was any of those things to this man that would explain not only why he fell out of the sky, it would also make him...::
In Nocturnes name, please dont tell me your a god.
::He was so looking for a break from work.::

A God? **smiles slightly sadly** I could only wish I was that strong. Gaia is the Her I spoke of. She's the living spirit of the... Well, the planet I'm from.
I'm just a bard of sorts. I used to travel the world in search of songs about my people who were lost during the various wars throughout Earth's history. So I could sing them into what we call the Silver Record, the oral history passed down to each of us.

Whew! Save yourself the trouble, being a god in this place is risky business.
::He literally moved his hand to wipe the sweat from his brow. He hadnt even but barely met the man...to have to---no. There was no reason to go down that train of thought.::
Gaia, you say? Thats odd, our planets spirit is named Gaia. She's a small child, sort of cute, and she makes gardens where she steps. Very cute indeed. Maybe one day you can meet her. And this Silver Record, I'd love to hear one day. But....how? How did you get here?

Well, I was crawling through a series of caves, northern Mongolia is full of them, looking for this perticular set of crystals growing in the area. I found a shard of bluish-white crystal on the ground, looking alot what I was described. So not thinking to check it and being really annoyed at how long it was taking to find it, I just picked it up. The Crystal then sprouted eyes, looked at me and said "That was dumb" and blew up, I remember being thrown headlong through what felt like a moon bridge and then I started falling and landed over there. That's when you showed up.

" eek "
::If ever a face matched his own that was it. Crystals, Mongornia, talking rocks and boom! That, was not, at all....what he expected. He opened his mouth as if he was about to say something, but his jaw hung open and no words came out, as none came to mind. After about 4 or 5 seconds of blank staring his mouth closed and out came a...::
Hmmm...
::He was drawing a complete blank.::
I have no idea. But! I can say this....wow. I was shunted here myself from my home world. I dont know what a moonbridge is, or why the moon would do such a thing to you...but...welcome none the less!
::And he sipped his coffee.::
I understand being a bard but, did you have any other equipment with you? I would love nothing more than to say Gaia is perfect and peaceful, but its sadly very far from it...are you armed?

Well, official weapons I have... had two swords. The smaller one was about twenty two inches in length, made of a silver and steel alloy and has a stylized hilt that looks like a hammer with a thunderbolt for a head. I'm not so worried about that one, if it's lost I can make another, but the second I'm really worried about.
It's a weapon I made as well, but it's sentimental. Everything about it was given to me for achieving something in my life. It's a longer weapon, about 31 total inches in length and forged from a very rare metal on my world. It's crafted from exotic silver ore harvested from the lunar Sea of Tranquility which was given to me as a reminder of my past sins. The hilt brace was a shard of bone taken from a creature I had a tangle with to help out a friend of mine back there. He died not long after that fight. It's the only thing I have from him to remember him by. The leather binding on the grip was given to me by my mother on my twentieth birthday that she worked with special oils to prevent it from slipping from my grasp. Even the engravings were done by someone who wanted to help, a close friend who wanted to make sure that if the sword ever broke, it would be easy to repair. He taught me how to carve the runes and to mix the right minerals with the metal so that it would always remain sharp.
It means a lot to me. But if the cloak made it here, I suppose that the blades made it. I just don't know where to start looking. I'm not defenseless, just worried about it. The blade's name is The Predator.
I don't suppose you've seen it, have you?

Wow...
::Granted, in his journeys this man had come across his fair share of weapons and equipment with special value. But this was...well it blew him away right off. The thought of this poor man being seperated from the blade was a crime in and of itself. Something had to be done.::
Just the tale of the blade itself is astonishing. It'd be my great honor and pleasure to pull it from my back and hand it to you with a smile...but I havent seen it. I was just walking from the cafe when I saw blue crackles in the sky. Curiousity drew me here. Is there...anything, that you can use to find it? Or any way I can help?

Well... There might be a way, but I need a piece of raw granite about the size of my fist and a rail road nail.
**balls up his fist to show the gentleman**
Do you know where we can find some stuff like that?

Lanh_Kim-ly Well... There might be a way, but I need a piece of raw granite about the size of my fist and a rail road nail. **balls up his fist to show the gentleman** Do you know where we can find some stuff like that? Eye of newt, wing of bat, even several different kinds of blood, I've heard of that...but a rock and a nail! That my friend, is very new. I have to see this. ::He looks down for a moment sliding his fingers a few inches off the ground before picking up a rock about the size of a softball and handing it to Lahnie.:: Now, I dont know alot of train stations around Gaia, but a train used to run through the stadium, and I'm sure the fountain... ::He walks toward the fountain and fishes around for a moment before returning with a nail abot 4inches long.:: As I suspected, Gaian's like to recycle. Here you go! Now this I have to see.

Great, now how did that ritual go...
**thinks for a second, then stamps the ground once, steps away from the footprint, drives the nail into the imprint he made and starts drawing runes on the ground in a semi-circle. A low chanting starts emanating from Lanhie, in a language that sounds ancient, guttural and feral sounding but rhythmatic. Energy, as it becomes tangible, slowly starts moving toward Lanhie and he holds the stone out. As the first strands of energy reach Lanhie and the stone, he begins to dance as he chants, each movement concentrating the energy into the stone. The pattern moves in a spiral, outward from the nail. The ritual ends with Lanhie back at the center, with his heel on the nail's head and the stone glowing slightly.**
There, it's done, I should be able to track my blade within about twenty feet of it's actual location. The problem is that the stone is glowing really faintly, so it's really far away... I think this is going to be a really long trip.

::Alright, now to the casual observer a man dancing around his footprint...looks crazy. And while a user of some forms of runic magic....was a casual observer. And about half way through wondered if the whole tale about another world, and this Erth hadnt just been a halucination after falling from a cloud or plane.
But! Stranger things have happened. Now the man was telling him that his funky dance had given the rock powers...It didnt look like it had powers...it didnt feel like it had powers, at least not as far as he could sense. He nodded and smiled, and simply said.::
Well, I wish you the very best of luck on your trip. There is a tower Hopefully we will meet again Lahnie.
::And he waved a smiley wave. He didnt assume the man would stick around, and sadly he could venture that far...he didnt have that much time.::
Oh! But Lanhie! Take this with you!
::He tosses a 4inch long vial of green towards him, and smiles.::
If you get really hurt, take a sip, it'll help you out!

Something like that. I'm actually looking for something. Have you seen a silver sword with a bone and leather handle anywhere? It's really important that I find it.
