Nitro clenched his hands, thrusting his body into a downward spiral. The torque of his attack gave a boosted speed as he ripped through the sky towards the Camerupt. Mike bit his lip, hiding his crossed fingers behind his back.
I can't lose this one...please don't let me down Nitro.

Kasiya could only stare dumbly at the embers of her dying fire, her free hand gently rubbing Shocker's soft cheeks in order to help comfort the poor mouse. In all honesty, she hadn't expected the call to be of that nature at all. She'd expected Nina to have needed a friendly voice to chat to. She sat there, looking perplexed and trying to think of something - anything - to say in reply.
Movement from the edge of the firelight caught her attention, and she looked up hopefully as Hiro came into view, looking very disappointed. He too, had failed to find any berries, even though the Arcanine didn't really know what he was looking for in the first place. Without direction, the large fire Pokemon walked over to the small pile of firewood and picked up the largest log he could find, and carefully placed it on the fire, the heat as comfortable to him as a warm blanket to any normal human being. When he was satisfied that it was positioned properly, he took a careful step back before he breathed a weak Ember onto the dying flames, using his large paws to stir the glowing coals around as he did so. Soon the fire was big and bright again, and looking content that he was at least able to help in some way, lay down nearby, keeping on guard in case of another surprise attack.

Flannery let a small smirk spread across her lovely features as Nitro closed in for the attack. Camerupt braced itself, making a noise that sounded a lot like a rock being scraped across a sheet of metal as the large flyer came down for the attack. Camerupt reacted instantly, opening its mouth and losing a point blank Hyper Beam at the Charizard's chest. The effort used to generate the attack combined with Nitro's fearsome attack power was overkill as the large Camerupt came crashing down onto its belly, the ground all around them shaking violently. Flannery herself, although expecting Camerupt to faint this round, lost her balance and toppled over backwards onto her bottom. Giving a bit of a sheepish wave, the fiery gym leader recalled her fainted Pokemon as she got back on her feet.

Headed down the route to Saffron City on a bike was much faster than on foot. Wind rushed over his body and everything passed by in a blur. Kilik's lips wore a soft smile - something that hadn't been seen in a while. He approached the secruity gate and skidded to a halt. He wasn't sure whether or not bikes were allowed through. Instead of taking a risk, Kilik hopped off and walked his bike through the door. The guard was sitting behind the left counter, in a very comfortable looking chair. His feet were propped up on the desk and a newspaper was clenched in his hands. It seemed he was reading a very interesting article before he looked at Kilik with a raised eyebrow. "Wasn't sure if I could ride it through here or not," the boy explained. The guard chuckled and nodded, going back to reading his page.
Kilik reached the opposite door and opened it. It was on the verge of closing before he managed to wrench it open again and push his bike through. "Only had it for less than an hour and it's getting beat up already?" He entered Saffron City and froze. The city was still hustling and bustling, but it just didn't feel right. The Silph Coporation tower penetrated the skyline and he felt a rush of guilt over him. It'd be fitting if the sun never shown here again... Kilik thought, looking now to the Saffron Gym. Sabrina was gone; the President of Silph was gone...how much more would the inhabitants of Saffron City have to endure? He shook his head to rid himself of the feeling and turned his attention to the train station.

Nurse Joy had recommended that Daemyn stay for another day or so, and although M.A. had a feeling that the Houndour wouldn't have agreed should he have been awake, she thought it would be best for him as well. Mary-Anne might've wanted to stay with the puppy while he slept on her lap, but when she realized that she was absolutely starving, Nurse Joy ushered the girl out with orders to go nearby to an inexpensive, family-run café. "Don't worry a bit! You need some rest and fresh air. We'll take care of Houndour here for you. Go see the hotsprings, too." And so, hesitantly leaving Daemyn behind, not without whispering a good-bye and patting his head, MA left the PokeCenter.
Lavaridge Town, now that the rain had subsided, was teeming with people. Or so it felt, anyways. Mary-Anne did go to that restaurant, had herself a little meal (they had a discount on for traveling trainers. How nice!), then went to the hot springs for a little while. My, was it wonderful! But that in itself was ruined by the fact that Daemyn couldn't enjoy it with her, and so she cut her stay in those waters short – very short, in fact, only sitting there for less than five minutes.
On the way back, she happened to see Lavaridge's gym. As she had never seen a gym before, she found that it was rather large, larger than what she had expected. I wonder if I'll ever challenge this gym leader, or even meet her. . . I guess I will have to take on some gyms eventually, ‘cause Michael said you have to if you want to use HMs outside and have higher level Pokemon listen to you, but I don't know.
Curiousity begged her to peek into the window, so she did. So that must be. . . Flannery? she thought in her head, seeing a certain red-headed gym leader. M.A. continued to watch as a powerful-looking Charizard took down a Camerupt (consulting her PokeDex, of course, to know those names). Wow, they're both so strong!

"Thank you," she replied helping herself to a bit of cereal. Mitsu took the small bag emptying it's contents into her own. She unclipped the badge from bag spending a few moments watching it glitter in the sunlight. A smile found it's way onto her face once more. It seemed that she had been doing that a lot lately, smiling that is. After a few more short moments of admiring the badge she placed it along side her Feather Badge, frowing just for a second, there was a hole in between the line of sparkling badges that she had worked so hard to earn. I'm still missing that stupid badge of Flannery's. Quickly cleaning her bowl and spoon after having finished her breakfast she cast a glance to Norman. "I guess I should go help you clean up that mess I helped cause yesterday," she said even though he had told her last night that she did not need to help. Mitsu couldn't help but feel a little responsible for causing an entire room of the gym to come down crumbling. This makes that hole in the ceiling he was talking about look like nothing.

As Z lay on his bed dreaming of being the fastest and stongest trainer in the world something stood at his window. It put one of it's sharp nails to the glass and scratechedint in a circle on the class causing the circle of aglass to fall out into Z's bedroom. The creature quickly caught the glass with it's tail before it could hit the ground and wake Z up. It gently set the glass down then jumped into Z's room silently. It quickly ran to Z's backpackas ninja like as it could an dbegan rifleing through Z's possesions looking for anything valuable. "Nin." A voice said from behind it. The pokemon froze and slowly turned around to see the angry looking nincada standing behind it. "Meow." The meowth said looking at the nincada and not knowing what to do. Suddenly the nincada began to vibrate and a loud annoying piercing sound filled the room. "Ugh! What's wrong Shino!?" Z asked angrily sitting up in his bed looking at the source of the noise. To his surprise a meowth was standing in ront of Shino and covering his sensitive cat ears to protect himself from the sound. "Who are you?" Z asked picking the meowth up by the scruff of the neck.

Ten minute's latter three platters were brought to the table by the somewhat nervois cheff. "Here are your orders ma'am."
"Good, now get lost." She said boredly as she grabbed a peice of bacon and put it in her mouth. Now that her parent's weren't around she didn't have to obey table manners. Grinning she took her fill of things on the plate as her pokemon also helped themselves to the bounty of food on the table. After around ten minutes every plate was clear and they were all very satisfied. Sticking her feet up on the table and leaning back Toph sat there fairly content until others started coming in. Taking that as her cue to leave she fixed her chair motioned for her pokemon to follow her grabbed her stuff and left the whole Pokemon Center.

"Are you kidding me?!" Kilik groaned, holding up his train pass. The guard who took the tickets and checked passes was staring at him with cold eyes and his arms crossed over his chest.
"I'm sorry, sir, but that's the new rule," he stated, "Passes are no longer accepted. You can purchase a ticket, but the pass is going to need to be tossed." Kilik took one last look at the train pass before throwing it into the garbage and pulling a wad of bills out of his wallet. He left the man behind and headed toward the ticket counter. He mumbled to himself as he waited behind the long line of people trying to get their tickets. They all seemed a bit annoyed at the new rule. Oh well. Looks like I can't just hop on the train all willy-nilly anymore, he thought.
Twenty minutes passed before he was at the front, handing over the money and taking his ticket that stated:
Departure: Saffron City, Kanto
Arrival: Rustboro City, Hoenn
Kilik handed his ticket over shortly after he bought it, scowling at the guard and stepping onto the train. He took an empty seat near a door and crossed his arms over his chest. Kilik shut his eyes as if he were about to fall asleep, but was instead listening to the mere conversations that were going on around him. Nobody was talking about anything interesting. One person mentioned Team Rocket, but the event didn't seem too new. However, there was a mention of Lt. Surge. The boy looked up.
"That's right. Broke his nose, he did. And it was his own daughter, I hears," explained an elderly man.
His own daughter? Kilik furrowed his brow.
"Not his dear Kasiya? Heavens know she would never join Team Rocket," an elderly woman replied. The train lurched forward and began its journey to Rustboro City.
Of course it wouldn't be Kasiya! Kilik's mind screamed, Doesn't take a genius to figure that one. The conversation continued, leading on from Surge and his broken nose to the recent happenings in other towns; such as the Pokemon Contests. The boy sighed.

The meowth hissed evily and scratched Z's arm. "Ow!" Z yellped as he let go of the thief. "Meowth!" The thieving meowth said as he bolted for the window. Z was actually impressed by the cat's speed Z tehn noticed that the meowth had the backpack on his back as he ran away. "Shino! our pokedex and your pokeball are in there! We have to get them back!" Z said instantly jumping out of the bed and running to the window. He could no lnger see the meowth until in the faint light he saw the glint of gold that was th Meowth's head charm. "Let's go Shino!" Z said as he opened the window and jumped through landing relatively softly on the ground. "Cada!" Shno said angrily as he jumped down onto Z's head. Z had never heard him sound that evil before. Z decided he was just being territorial and began to run towards the golden glint. The glint semmed to turn to them slightly then began to run away. Soon Z lost sight of it and grumbled in annoyance. "Nin!" Shino said jumping down onto Z's arm and latching on. "Oh yeah! You have perfect vision! Guide me to that litle thief!" Z said holding his arm out whileShino wrapped his legs and arms around it. It began to pull his arm slightly to the leeft and so Z ran in that direction.

After about five minutes of Shino leading Z to the the meowth they had exited the city and were running onto route six. Z soon came close enough to the meowth to see that it had taken the backpack off and was panting in the iddle of the route. "I guess carrying all those stolen goods slowed you down huh!" Z said letting Shino jump to the ground ready for a battle "Meow!" The meowth said running foreward at Shino. The cat pokeman extended his claws and slashed at Shino wildly. "Watch out Shino! Use sand attack!" Z said very slightly moving away from the fight that was beginning and towards his bag. Shino created a slight chirp and flapped is smll wings sending sand flying into te meowth's eyes. The meowth stopped scrathing and retracted his claws to rub his eyes. Z continued to inch towards his bag while the meowth was distracted. "Shino use leech life to regain the health you lost!" Z yelled hoping that he could keep the meowth looking at Shino. "Nin!" Shino yelled as hee bit down on the meowth's neck and began sucking life energy from him. "Meow!" The meowth yellped as he scratched at Shino's abdomen.

It was near midnight as the unmarked, black helicopter arrived back in Viridian City, its destination the gym complex on the northeastern. In a few moments, it touched down, the pilot cutting the engine and the blades slowly coming to a stop. Mai stepped down from the cab, and gave a curt nod. Two rather hulking grunts stepped out of the shadows of the roof, and at Mai's silent command, began to unload the cargo. Mai held up the distinctive black and white Rocket ball, the trademark 'R' painted on the top, and smiled at it. "Not only was the mission a complete success, but you'll make a handsome offering to the boss."
After she'd dealt with Surge, another problem had occurred within Diglett's Cave. A rather large and powerful Dugtrio had made an valiant effort to stop the Rockets' plunder, only to succumb into capture thanks to Mai's powerful Pokemon. The Dugtrio had managed to take down nearly a third of the Rocket squadron before the admin stepped up. She spun the ball on the tip of her finger, before flicking her wrist and making it disappear. "Bring it down to the safe, on the lowermost floor. I’m certain that Giovanni will want to protect this thing with everything he's got."
"Aye, aye, Ma'am," the grunts saluted, and quickly went about bringing the cargo inside. Mai looked quite pleased with the turnout of the mission, and did her best to maintain a professional demeanor even though she was nearly rocking back and forth on the balls of her feet in excitement. Even though it was very late, she knew Giovanni would want to know about this as soon as possible.

"She's not my... ah whatever. She'll be back soon," Keegan said in reply to Jaeshan's comment. "I don't think it'll need stitches, but yeah. She chewed it up pretty good." He sat down on a chair at the nurse's request to wait while she had a look at it.
"No stitches, you're lucky," the kind nurse smiled, as she proceeded to use an antiseptic and bandage it up.
Keegan watched Jaeshan and the egg, and grinned. "It's going to hatch soon," he remarked. "Within the next few days, most likely." He yawned, and sighed. "I think it's time to get some shut eye."

Miharu watched in amazement as the older, more experienced trainer opened the path for them, and was off again without so much as a word.
"So that's your sister, huh?" Miharu said, putting a finger to her chin. "I see the resemblance." She quickly stepped over the fallen tree, glancing at it for a split second as she did so. "I think I've made up my mind," she said, more to herself than anyone else. "When we get back to Azalea, I will win that badge. That way, I won't have to rely on anyone to use cut for me..."
She secretly wondered how long her gusto to challenge Bugsy would last, although she hoped it would last long enough for her to actually go through with it.

"Yeah, it was a longer ride than I'd expected from Vermilion," Jaeshan said, soon yawning himself. He wasn't sure if it was because these things seemed contagious, or if he was just as tired himself. He glanced down at the egg and ran his fingers over the delicate shell. "I can't wait to meet you," he told it softly before he suddenly thought of something. "Oh! I still need to pay you for this," he said, placing the egg gently on the couch next to him, and rising so he could grab his wallet. "You never did tell me how much I would owe you." He began to count the bills, silently praying he'd have enough money.
