wash_away DarkElf27 wash_away I just bought commander shrike to back up my emporer's champion so he wouldn't be alone, I didn't know he was for raven guard however. can I still use him in a black templar's army? also what way's do you do to keep from being over run by suppirior number's, I only have one assault squad and two termi squad's and get completly over run (most of the time) any help? Face it; with a SM asrmy, you'll ALWAYS be outnumbered. As to your question, you really need 2 or 3 tactical squads, and drop one of the Termie squads, they're VERY expensive, pointwise. Secondly, make sure your opponent has the same number of points in their force that you do. I know, I going to end up selling my termi's and getting the one's with lighting claw's but first I need to get tactical's and a land raider cruasaider (thank you bt) I personally think the laind raider sounds more preferable by me, but did you make the mistake of of buying terminators with thunder hammers to?

According to several certain notable texts, The Emperor did years and years of genetic research and testing to create the primarchs, and though he did use part of his own genetic material to make them, they weren't quite made from his gene seed (Because actual gene seed had not been created yet). After the powers of chaos used what little physical energy the had at the time to seperate the primarchs (they were developing in genetic vats pretty much at that time...no more than infants), the Emperor pretty much said "Well damn..." And decided to start his crusade to recover the primarchs. While on this crusade, he figured out how to make "gene seed" (A piece of genetic material that only carries the best of the best). So as he found each of the primarchs, he made gene seed from each one of them and began implanting it into the Imperium's best of the best warriors and thus....Space Marines were born.
So...if you want to get down to it, according to this idea, Primarchs were made from the genetic material of the Emperor, but not his pure gene seed...so they got a lot of his attributes (natural leadership, strength of body and mind, etc.) but they still got some of the recessive parts of him too (I don't know what exactly (they weren't clones, after all), but there had to be something flawed in them to cause some of them to turn to Chaos....So when each space marine was created from the seed of their primarch, they technically got a piece of the emperor in them, but not very much. And that's why Space Marines can be turned over to the ruinous powers (not necessarily easily, but it's happened a lot).
The thing with Grey Knights is that their geneseed does come straight from the Emperor's. So in essence, they have the "purest" geneseed because it didn't have to go through a primarch first. The Emperor never faltered to the ruinous powers, and neither has a Grey Knight (well...according to the Codex: Grey Knights).
I hope what I said made sense. I'm kind of writing this at 2:30 in the morning xp

All I said different is that they say that they THINK that grey knights have gene seed straight from the emperor. I think one would have by now turned to chaos though if it hadn't come from the emperor though so.

Lt_Brookman Ophiuchus Mat but if it shoot mines its supposedly has not strength The castellan missile lays a minefield with each shot. Each detonation is S6 Ap-. Therefore, the weapon is S6 Ap-. Therefore it can be desegnated and destroyed. Thanks, finally an answer that helps me. This should even things out a bit. Well, maybe not. The guy called a US GW department for rule queries and as he puts it: Annoying Whirlwind guy "My assumption is it should be, and to go ahead and send a Q&A tothe UK about it" So I'll try and find a Q&A mailing address and get this sorted out, in KKnD style of the GW.

That is pretty quick - But I can paint at a tabletop standard at 3 hours per mini excluding base. But it'll take longer, obviously, if I need to GreenStuff it.

Cagalli Yura Attha imperial-cheif Drugged up smart strong men in big armour with gun that have bullets the size of a Pepsi can You are incorrect citizen. The space marines are born from the gene seed of their primarch. They are of the same gene seed as each other, and thus, are bothers. Their organic components are enhanced by advanced biocircuitry, which allows them to serve the emperor for hundreds of years. Their armor is thus partially intergrated with their body. The bullets of their bolter are stanard issue, and nowhere near as large as a bevarege container. The marines also require no drugs to operate. Please proceed to the Lemartes Secondus educational facility on Ultramaris on the 28th day of this month, where you shall sit in the RED chair. actually the i heard the space marines a recruited

It's a flat, large object. You can use an actual TANK BRUSH on it and it'll look fine. But all infantry SHOULD be painted using ONLY a fine detail brush.
