Faust looked at his hands, as if waiting for the skin to fall off of his fingers. "I... can't.... I don't know if I can exist like this..."

"The world is a bleaker place without you, Faust VIII..."
"I'm dead!" Faust cried, and he looked it. His eyes and cheeks were hollow, and his lips were dry and cracked. "You shouldn't have brought me back."

Faust turned away from her. "You didn't know..." he said quietly. "A necromancer should have been responsible for informing you fully..."
"If it's any consolation, we can't tell you're dead," Mephistophiles said helpfully. "I mean, I think you actually look a little better than when you were 'alive'..."
