Norman was really rather surprised when he saw the other pokemon was still sleeping. The gym leader had been sure that normal type would wake up after being pelted with a bunch of rocks. Still he wasn't one to let an opportunity such as this go to waste. "All right Lucky let's use Defense Curl and follow it up with a Rollout." Norman called out, he was probably pushing his luck calling for both like that but he figured that Lucky was far enough away from the Kangaskhan that even if it woke up then Lucky might have a chance to still escape. The pink Dunsparce gave a small cry as a concentrated look appeared on it's face. Glowing slightly the small pokemon curled it's long body into a ball. "All right now, let's try that Rollout." Norman called again, the gym leader wasn't that convinced the pokemon was all that smart, or maybe it was just very forgetful. The pink and yellow ball bounced a few times giving a pretty good impression of a bouncy ball before it slowly started rolling picking up speed as it went.

Dante meanwhile was watching the battle on the sidelines, while gym battles were mostly very interesting, gym battles where one pokemon was asleep wasn't to interesting. Speaking of asleep his arms were about to fall asleep from holding these two increasingly heavy by the second pokemon. Figuring they couldn't get in to much trouble, both of them were enraptured by the gym battle going on he gently set them on the ground. "Geeze I never want to carry a pokemon ever again." Dante muttered shaking his hands in a vain attempt to get feeling back into them. Glancing down every once in a while to make sure that both pokemon were still there, or that they weren't trying to run out to help Keegan in his battle.

While his trainer may have been prone to serious distractions, the Sandslash, despite his relatively impassive nature, was anything but. The Ground-type's eyes narrowed as suddenly an intense stream of fire was heading toward him, and purely on instinct, he ducked down into a tight ball, feeling the heat of the flames licking at his body. It was the first major attack of the battle and it did get Kasiya's full attention. "Oh, so you wanna play rough, huh?" she said, a delightfully devilish spreading across her face. "We can play rough, too! Hey Digger, I think I know the perfect move for you to use now!"

For a brief second, the corners of the Sandslash's mouth curled upwards into a grin, and his dark eyes narrowed. He was well aware of what Kasiya meant and suddenly he was able to recall with perfect clarity the last time he battled one of these fiery-tortoise things - it had ended very well. For him, at least. With a growl, the Mouse Pokemon jumped high into the air, doing a quick flip before he came back down again, right foreleg extended. His claw slammed the ground and all was silent, just for a second before the place where his claw had struck began to crack, the quiet rumbling that followed escalated quickly into a loud roar as Digger's Earthquake ripped the ground asunder.

It was hard for Erika not to notice how cold and almost detached her challenger seemed, but she said nothing of it. She could do nothing but watch helplessly as Eris the Quilava burned through her Ivysaur's Razor Leaf and smashed into him with great force, fiery embers raining down on the ground around him. That was it; Ivysaur was done for, and the kimono-clad gym leader silently recalled the Seed Pokemon. That was... intense, she thought, placing the sphere within the folds of her kimono while withdrawing a second. "My second Pokemon," she called, tossing the Pokeball out with a flick of her wrist. "Victreebel, darling, I choose you!"

The Flycatcher Pokemon gave a loud screech as it appeared on the field, eyes narrowed as it studied Riza and her Quilava. "Let's bring this battle back into our favor, Victreebel! Sleep Powder!" Victreebel gave another screech, its long, vine thrashing back and forth as its body seemed to expand. With a grunt, its mouth opened and a thick cloud of blue spores were released onto the field. Putting Eris to sleep would definitely make things easier.

Keegan's patience with the battle was already starting to grow weary, and as Moeder dozed on, he glanced over at Dante, wondering if his long-haired friend was just as done with this part of the battle as he was. He looked back at the Dunsparce as it initiated a Defense Curl and frowned. That meant the Rollout attack was next, and Keegan really wasn't looking forward to that attack making contact with Moeder. At that very moment, at least, the luck of the battle seemed to shift to him as a loud growl escaped the large Kangaskhan - it seemed she was finally waking up. The redhead smirked as the pink Dunsparce bounced up and down like one of those vending-machine bouncy balls before it started to roll toward Moeder, and Keegan knew this was his chance to shift the tide of battle into his favor. "Moeder, Iron Tail! Take 'em for a ride!" he shouted, a grin spreading across his face as the Normal-type got to her feet, looking very sour over the fact that she'd just been forced to take a nap. Seeing the pink ball speeding toward her, she let out another roar, shifting all of her weight onto her back foot. Timing was essential and she let out a hearty grunt as she swung her massive tail around at the oncoming Dunsparce, hopefully making contact and sending that thing sailing out of the park like a major league slugger in a home-run derby.

Norman couldn't help but wince at the loud smashing sound of the Kangaskhans mighty tail hitting the large ball shape that happened to be his Dunsparce. "Great." Norman muttered as the wall shook and dust fell down from the ceiling as the Dunsparce created a giant hole in his wall. Why was his gym always messed up? Glancing back he saw that the land snake had been knocked out by the attack and recalled the pokemon into the pokeball. "All right then," Norman put the pokeball away and pondered on his next choice for a moment. He hadn't used this pokemon in a while, mostly because things had started to get a little tense, until a visitor from Unova had pointed something out to him. After that a few things seemed to be cleared up a bit and his pokemon was coming back to normal, well, it wasn't tearing it's own fur out anymore, Norman figured it would never be completely sane. Still this particular pokemon loved to battle and looking at the angry Kangaskhan the gym leader figured it was time to throw something just as angry back at it.

"Zangoose let's go." Norman grinned a bit as he tossed out his pokeball. Out of it popped a spitting angry, scarred and snarling white fluff ball. Though this was certainly no fluff ball you would ever want to pet.

For Dante things had started to get a lot more interesting when Moeder woke up. He couldn't help but feel a wave of pride, even though she wasn't his anymore, at seeing her smash that weird looking pokemon through the wall. Leaning back in the bench he settled down to watch the pokemon battle. Or well he was going to if it wasn't for his baby Turtwig tugging on his jacket with her mouth in an attempt to get onto his lap for a better seat, or maybe the Zangoose Norman just released scared her. Figuring he would be scared too if he had to face that thing, did it have rabies seriously! Dante leaned down to pick her up but froze as he looked down at her. "Uh-oh." He muttered to himself as he looked down. He only saw one pokemon wanting to be picked up and that was his. Keegan's cute little Axew was no where to be seen. Pale face going even paler Dante's dark eyes quickly glanced over at Keegan hoping he was paying more attention to the gym battle then his now somewhat panicking friend.

Outside one of the windows someone was grinning as he looked up at the his own golden pokemon holding up a struggling Axew. "It only takes a second." The figure muttered as he tapped the Axew on the head. "You are a perfect start to my collection of those mystery egg pokemon."

It was probably a good thing that Keegan was too busy smirking and marveling at Moeder's impressive Iron Tail to notice Hades' sudden disappearance from the room. The attack had gone much better than he could have hoped for, though he did wince at the giant hole in the wall that had been made as a result. "s**t," he muttered, scuffing the ground with his shoe. "Uh, sorry about that," he muttered as Norman recalled the fainted pink Dunsparce. "I'm pretty handy with a hammer, I can help you fix that, if you want," he offered quickly. Destroying Norman's gym hadn't been on the docket for today and he shifted his weight back and forth on his feet somewhat nervously as he waited for the gym leader to send out his next Pokemon.

The sight of the Zangoose should have been a welcome one, as it would mean that Keegan knew what he as up against, but almost right away, he could tell that something was very, very different about this one. It looked sort of mangy, and it was covered in scars. It also looked angry. Very, very angry. Better be careful with this one, Keegan thought, looking to Moeder. "Let's start out with a Mega Punch," he said finally, wishing the Kangaskhan had some ranged attacks to use instead. Moeder, however, was undeterred by her rough-looking opponent and tromped toward it, already rearing back her glowing fist, eager to lay down some more hurt.

Miharu had pretty much given up on trying to muster up the courage to go and get herself some breakfast and just starving to death instead when she heard a familiar cry. Peeking up past her knees, the green-haired girl spotted the same small, fluffy grey Pokemon that had snuggled her to sleep the night before. Sniffling, the girl watched the Pokemon curiously. It waved at her, motioning for her to follow him out into the dining room, but Miharu shook her head. The Minccino (not that Miharu knew what it was) frowned, and then looked around before darting away, leaving the young girl to her brooding.

A few minutes later, Miharu heard the Pokemon's voice again and when she looked up this time, he was hopping up the stairs toward her, awkwardly carrying an armful of fruit. "Cheeno!" he said happily as he placed the fruity bounty beside her, and leaned in, obviously wanting to be petted for his efforts.

"For me?" Miharu asked, and the Chinchilla Pokemon nodded eagerly, now practically shoving a banana in her face. "Th-thank you, I don't know what to say," she said, accepting it with a smile. Minccino sat beside her, looking quite pleased with himself.

"Revenge." Norman called out. His Zangoose could easily take more hits then Lucky could have before. Besides it would make his opponant think twice about his next move. On the battlefield his pokemon gave the Kangaskhan an eager look as it waited for her to smash her fist into his body. The shriek of pain sounded almost like a cry of joy as the momma pokemons Mega Punch hit him. The pain was good though, that just meant he would pay it back, he would pay back every hurt with more. Sharp teeth flashed in a grin as the claws moved forward to exact his revenge on the pokemon that had hurt him.

Dante had completely forgotten a battle was going on, well not really, he was extremely greatful it was going on because that means Keegan wasn't paying attention to him or trying to beat him up for losing his pokemon. He had only looked away for one second! Where had the little monster gotten to? Was he under the bench? Oh please be under the bench! Dante thought desperately to himself. Glancing over at Keegan again to make sure he was still in the battle and not paying attention to him, Dante leaned forward and glanced under the bench. Nope. No Axew underneath. "Maybe he just wondered off." Dante muttered to himself looking around. The door was closed, and he was pretty sure the Axew was to tiny to get out of that. The window to the left was closed as well. Maybe it got out through the hole in the wall? That might seem like a cool place to investigate.

Dante wasn't about to climb through a mysterious pokemon created hole in the wall though. The window would do just fine for a quick escape. As casually as he could Dante unlatched the lock on the window and pushed it open. Sparing one more look onto the battlefield he picked the baby Turtwig up and clambered out.

The thief of the Axew had left the scene of the crime and was currently heading through the forest behind the gym. Mostly because he would probably look suspicious if he was wondering around with an Axew being carried by his own rather ostentatious pokemon. He was trying to avoid attention here and as much as he loved how much of a statement it was he enjoyed not being caught even more.

Revenge, Keegan repeated mentally, wracking his brain to try and remember if he'd ever seen that move used before. He was certain that none of his own Pokemon knew how to use it, and since his PokeDex was still in hand, he allowed it to fill in the blanks for him. An attack move that inflicts double the damage if the user has been hurt by the opponent in the same turn, he read, frowning again. Ouch. Ouch indeed, for as impressive as Moeder's Mega Punch was, the freaky Zangoose's counterattack was even more so. Moeder gave a roar of pain and staggered back, clearly unhappy by the turn of events as she put some distance between herself and her opponent. Keegan grinned; two angry Pokemon eager to take wild swings at one another? That was right up the redhead's alley. Unfortunately, there wasn't a whole lot he could do to prevent Norman from using Revenge after Revenge - he couldn't count on Dizzy Punch to confuse its target a second time, nor could he rely on say, the possibility of causing flinching with a Bite attack. That, however, was one of the upsides to being ahead by a Pokemon - Moeder could take as much of a chunk out of it as she could and one of his next Pokemon could likely finish it off.

Keegan figured that his best option was to hit the Zangoose for as much damage as possible, as he was also quite certain that it didn't really have a way of recovering its health (unless Norman had taught it how to use Rest, which seemed like an unlikely choice). Regardless, the pace of the fight had picked up, which was something he did like. "Moeder, give it your best Leer," he said finally, watching with a sort of amusement as the Parent Pokemon shot the Zangoose her very best death glare; while not the most conventional of attacks, it would make the other Normal-type more susceptible to damage and might give them a bit of a leg up on the situation.
=====
Miharu and her furry little friend enjoyed their breakfast together, and the green-haired girl found that she felt better now that her stomach was no longer empty. Her little Pokemon friend hopped up onto her shoulder as she collected the various peels and cores, having found the courage to get up and properly dispose of it. The small Pokemon offered directions as best he could and soon Miharu found herself in the large and impressive kitchen, and after throwing away the trash she stopped and looked around, finding that the cleanliness level of the kitchen reminded her both of home, and of her aunt's back in Lavaridge. She scratched the mouse-like Pokemon under the chin and turned to leave again, but as she turned to go she very nearly ran directly into Professor Juniper who'd returned to the kitchen for a refill of coffee.

"Good morning, Miharu," she said cheerfully as she poured the dark brown, savory liquid into her mug. She hadn't been completely oblivious to the girl's troublesome night, and had been the one to send Minccino to help calm her down. "I see you've met Minccino; he's quite the little sweetheart, isn't he?" Minccino cheered in agreement and jumped over to the professor's shoulder, nuzzling her affectionately. "I didn't see you at breakfast, but a certain little Chinchilla Pokemon was seen plundering the fruit bowl not too long ago. I trust you two have been sufficiently fed?"

Miharu's face reddened and she looked at the floor, unable to find the words to describe how she'd been too nervous to join the professor in the dining room. She decided to change the subject and looked back at the Chinchilla Pokemon. "Minccino, was it?" she asked, faking a smile. "He is quite a cutie. I'd guess a Normal-type?"

"You'd be guessing right," Professor Juniper nodded, setting the affectionate Pokemon on the ground, and he scampered off to play. "You don't have a PokeDex of your own?" she went on, motioning for the girl to follow her.

"No, ma'am," Miharu answered, feeling a slight ache in the pit of her stomach. She was aware of just how much trouble her father had gone through to get her PokeDex for her, and now she was certain that Lee had taken it, along with her Pokemon. "My PokeNav, that's gone too," she added after a few moments of silence, obediently following the professor through the manor.

"PokeNav?" Juniper repeated, looking curiously at Miharu. "I'm unfamiliar with the term. What is it, exactly?"

"I-it's like a phone," Miharu answered quietly, looking at the floor once again. They'd since arrived in Juniper's laboratory. "It also has different functions, depending on what cards you have for it, like the map, or radio card. Mine only had the map function."

"I see," Juniper nodded, scratching her chin thoughtfully. "I'm sure that's something that we could take care of, as well."

Miharu could see an almost playful glint in her eyes, but said nothing about it, and instead looked around the lab curiously. "So... you have new trainers coming today to choose their starter Pokemon?" she asked, standing on tiptoe to try and get a better look around. After seeing so many interesting new Pokemon in the past two days, she was admittedly quite curious to find out what trio of Pokemon were offered to brand new trainers in the Unova region.

"That's right," the professor said, still smiling. "I have a few things that I need to get ready; would you mind helping me out?"

The command for a Giga Drain came at quite a surprise, and he let out a rather impressed 'Woah!' as the Ghastly drained what little vitality was left from his Machop. The Pokemon flopped to the ground, the last of his strength leaving him. "Well that's a surefire bummer." the gym leader said, recalling his Pokemon. "Getting beaten up in your sleep is no fun at all. Let's see how you do Meditite!" Not wasting a time, Brawly tossed out his next Pokemon and soon the typing paradox that was Meditite was released. "Your Ghastly may be immune to my physical attacks but I know some psychic moves will hurt it! Confusion!"

Meditie swayed its head back and forth, gathering up energy. The Pokemon began to glow in a bright blue aura, and with a thrusting of its palms, it sent that energy straight at the offending ghost.

"Uh oh! Pancake time!" Mike sort of yelped before the ground beneath his Pokemon pretty much exploded. Vesuvius was sadly too heavy to have the luxury of being ejected into the sky by the attack, and was instead subjected to all of the fun from the jagged rocks and the erratic, angry tectonic movement. Thankfully, he was smart enough to retreat into his shell to keep his legs from getting all cut up, but even with his tremendous defensive power and previous Withdraw, it was still tremendously painful.

Mike knew that one more of those and it was all over, but he wasn't going to just lie down and not go out in a literal blaze of glory. "Give it another Flamethrower!" He yelled once the Earthquake had subsided. With a much more labored grunt, Vesuvius decided to perform his next attack without removing himself from his shell, which made for a rather amusing sight.

The walk through the city took no time at all, since he had grown up on these streets. He had stopped in to say hi to his parents before heading out to the entrance to the Viridian Forest. Enough time had passed for the Beedrill swarm to have calmed down, unless something else had riled them up while he was gone. Heaven forbid that had happened. His team could probably fight back now though if the worst happened.

"Ah, whatever. I'm sure I'll make it through in one piece this time. Maybe...probably not." A sigh escaped him as he pondered his luck. It was good and bad at the same time. From one extreme to another in an instant. Perhaps a tree would fall on him this time and he'd find a pikachu or something.

Regardless, he simply began walking into the forest with Gigas in the pokeball. No need to risk another possible forest fire within the first five minutes of entering.

Jasper leaned back on a heel, maintaining his expert poker face in order to deny Jonas and his lackeys the satisfaction of seeing that he was somewhat nervous. Ditto wasn't quite as convincing, scrambling back and up onto Jasper's head. "It all seemed pretty finished to me," he said, quite aware of the dangerous territory he was stepping into and he smiled darkly. "But then again, I haven't seen you since you wound up in juvie, so who am I to judge?"

Jonas narrowed his eyes. At his sides, Paul seemed to twitch with anticipation while Femur took a meaningful step forward, viciously grinding his right fist into his left palm. Both stopped as Jonas raised a hand, however. "Now, now, there's no need for this to escalate to violence," he said, pausing as his gaze drifted upward to the fearfully-blinking mouse atop Jasper's head. "At least, not yet."

"What do you want, Jonas?" Jasper asked, not meaning for his voice to sound as bored as it did. Ditto pretended to preoccupy itself by smoothing out the folds in Jasper's bandanna.

"It's like you said, Jazz," Jonas said, a noticeable twitch in his eye. "We ain't seen each other in a long time, and I was thinkin' that we ought to hang out a bit. Why don't we go fetch ourselves a soda and, y'know, catch up and all that stuff." Paul let out a short, high-pitched and almost hysterical laugh but was silenced by a quick look from Jonas.

"Ehh, thanks, but no thanks. I'm gonna take a pass on that, Jo," Jasper said, still keeping up his casual manner. He stepped back again and turned to leave. "I've got stuff to do, catch you guys later."

"That wasn't a request," Jonas stated coolly, and with more speed than one would expect from such a hefty youth, Femur had moved around to block Jasper's exit. Ditto gave a noticeable shiver, sparks flaring at its cheeks. "Now this is how it's gonna go down. Since it's your fault that I got locked away, you owe me big time. For starters, you're gonna give me that Pikachu."

Hayley let out a slow sigh of relief when she saw that Ivy's glare had been quite successful; the Onix's movements would be much slower now and thus easier to predict. The brunette felt a little ashamed of herself for feeling so presumptuous, but at the moment, things were looking pretty good for her. She could totally win this, she could! Standing up a little taller, Hayley exhaled slowly. "Okay Ivy, I think now would be a good time to show them your Vine Whip!" The Snivy nodded in agreement and took a step forward, a glimmer appearing at her shoulders before a pair of vibrant, slender green vines snaked out toward the towering Onix, eager to dish out some hurt.

Wow, Digger sure has become strong, Kasiya thought, able to see that his Earthquake attack had rocked Vesuvius' world, despite the Torkoal's sky-high defense. The Sandslash had certainly come a long way from the small, timid little Sandshrew he was back when she had first met him, and she certainly didn't regret rescuing him from the clutches of Team Rocket. The Torkoal, though thoroughly shaken, fought back with another Flamethrower. Rather than sit there and practice being roasted, Digger immediately moved to dodge.

Not being the quickest of Pokemon, he still got hit by plenty of fire, but he gave a growl and slashed the air with his claws, seemingly having had enough of fire-spitting Pokemon for now. "Time to wrap this up, Digger!" Kasiya called. "Let's put Earthquake on repeat!" The Ground-type nodded and once again drove his claws into the ground, causing even more rocks and dirt to shower up from the cracks.

For what felt like a long time, Lisa just sat there, staring at the seat that Jaeshan had previously occupied and feeling guilty for bringing up his parents when she'd already fully-known that he wasn't quite ready yet. Frowning, she pulled her PokeNav out of the side pocket of her bag and flipped it open, typing out a somewhat-lengthy message. After reading it over a few times to check for mistakes she sent it, setting the device on the table as she waited for a reply. She'd glance up at the cafeteria door expectantly every now and then, hoping that Jae would come back and let her know that he was all right, but of course he didn't, and she actually jumped a bit when her PokeNav began to vibrate loudly. She bit her lower lip as she picked it up and studied the message she'd received. The blue-haired girl sighed with relief and wrote back again, this message much quicker than the last, and as she put the device away, double-checked a different pocket of her bag. "Oh good, you're still there," she said quietly, pulling the small, red and white sphere out and holding it in her palm. "Let's get you back to your trainer, okay?" The Pokeball seemed to wriggle with excitement in response, and Lisa smiled, standing up so that she could seek out the blond boy.

Jaeshan had retreated to the boy's bathroom, making it just in the nick of time before he threw up what he was certain was all - if not most of - his lunch. Once he was sure his stomach was finished with its violent rebellion against food he staggered to his feet to clean himself up and rinse his mouth, suddenly remembering what Dr. Freedman had told him about nausea and vomiting. His head wasn't actually hurting, though, and he quickly surmised that the sudden ejection of his lunch had more to do with his emotional state than his physical one. If anything, he'd forgotten all about his head injury, which he figured was a good thing. He splashed a bit more cold water on his face before he decided that he was all right and he slowly left the bathroom and ventured out into the lobby. He got himself a bottle of water and took slow, measured sips, managing a slight smile when he saw Lisa coming toward him, also smiling. "You look like the Meowth that caught the Pidgey," he said, nodding. "What's up?"

Peace and Harmony reigned supreme in the forest for now. He hadn't seen a single pokemon since he had entered. Their cries could be heard throughout the area, but not one had crossed his path. A mixed blessing. He wouldn't mind running into a Nidoran or a Pidgey. The thought of running into a hive of Beedrill again was still scaring him. That was something no one wanted to deal with.

He took a shortcut off the beaten path to save time and to raise his chances of finding some wild pokemon. He'd find something else however. After several minutes of walking he'd simply appear from behind a tree in front of Alex and Clyde. Kressen instantly recognized the tiny blonde trainer, but didn't know the tall and shaggy headed boy beside her.

"Oh Alex! There you are. Haley and I were wondering where you had wandered off to. Whose your friend?" The red head grinned, but he felt guilty. They had lost sight of the little girl, but he hadn't thought to go find her figuring she'd make it out of the forest okay. Apparently he had misjudged her sense of direction, but she had a Kadabara to teleport her out if things got bad.

Riza wasn't exactly sure of what grass-type to expect next from the gym leader, and she frowned a little upon seeing the strange, bell shaped Pokemon. "Victreebel," she mumbled, quickly looking up its entry in her pokedex and reading it over. 'Victreebell, the Flycatcher Pokemon, and the final evolutionary form of Bellsprout and Weepinbell. This horrifying plant Pokemon attracts prey with aromatic honey, then melts them in its mouth. Acid that has dissolved many prey becomes sweeter, making it even more effective at attracting prey.' The raven haired girl gave a look of disgust, snapping the pokedex shut before looking out over the battlefield. It was safe to say that she wasn't overly happy with Erika's choice in Pokemon, and it didn't get any better as the gym leader called for a Sleep Powder. "Not if I can help it," Riza said quietly, wanting for her little Quilava to get as much experience out of this battle as possible. Knowing that the little fire-type was getting close to evolving to her final form had her feeling rather ambitious. "Eris, evade it by digging underground!" The Quilava, while normally quite eager to fight, had actually been staring apprehensively at Erika's Victreebel, even taking a step back as the Sleep Powder was released into the air. Her trainer's command snapped her back to attention and she jumped into action, paws becoming blurred as she quickly escaped to the relative safety of the gym's underground.

"Don't you shoot your mouth off at me, kid!" Roscoe shouted. "Scizor, make 'em pay! Hit that Electabuzz with a Slash attack!" The red mantis like Pokemon gave a nod, seemingly able to shake off the paralysis for the time being as it vaulted forward, slashing its sharp claws across Kord's side. The Electabuzz roared out in pain and staggered back, panting heavily.

"If you think we're done already you've got another thing coming!" Reggie added. "Golbat, use Supersonic!" The large bat Pokemon flapped its wings a few times before its huge mouth opened wide and terribly loud sound waves were blasted up at the Staravia and her mini army. Noa shrieked as the awful noise pierced her brain and soon she had given in to confusion, flying straight down and hitting the ground. Her remaining copies disappeared as she made impact.

It was Katie's turn to grit her teeth as she studied her two Pokemon. Noa was in the process of smashing her head off the floor and Kord had taken a lot of damage from that last Slash attack. "Come on guys, we're not done yet, either," the orange haired girl shouted. "Kord, you've gotta cover Noa! Blast that Golbat outta the sky with your Shock Wave!" The Electabuzz gave another roar, the bulb like horns on his head flashing brightly before electricity seemed to explode from him. It shot straight up before condensing into a solid bolt that then converged on the Golbat, who immediately tried to fly away when it saw what was happening. "Not this time, Batty," Katie said softly, smirking broadly as the Shock Wave honed in on the escaping Golbat and struck it from behind, causing it to shriek out in pain.

"Grass-type moves, not good," Brock observed, teeth clenched as the smaller Snivy began to lash out with a pair of slender vines. "Onix, try to block it with Rock Tomb!" the gym leader shouted. He really hated dealing with status problems like paralysis, but having dealt with many grass-types before, he knew that most of them were very capable of dishing them out. The massive Onix gave another roar, whipping his large tail around before slamming it on the ground. Large pillars of rock continuously shot up in all directions, only just stopping Ivy's Vine Whip while more rocks spiked out of the ground, closing in on the Snivy.

"On repeat?" Mike, well, repeated. "But I hate that song!" He stomped his foot in (somewhat) mock tantrum. He could use Protect and prolong the fight, but that is just about all it would do. Digger wasn't burned, or using a type of attack that would require a moment to recharge. This fight was over. Mike rested his hands on the back of his head and watched Vesuvius get toppled again by the Sandslash's attack. "Not bad, buddy. We'll see what we can do about that." He recalled his Pokemon and made his way over Kasiya, twirling around the wreckage like a lazy ballet dancer.

"The battle is yours, love." Mike briefly met eyes with the Pokemon before turning back to his girlfriend. "Digger's grown quite a bit since I last saw him. I'm impressed, but not surprised. I'll work on Vesuvius a bit and see what I can't work up to deal with those Earthquakes. But still," he rolled forward on his feet and kissed her nose. "Well done. Now that we're out of bed at probably two in the afternoon," he gestured to the destruction. "What's the plan now? I really have nothing planned past this point."
