"oh If you only knew what they are from..." fate muttered. They made her feel like such an outast but she was greatful that for once someone tries to be nice about it. Fte was shocked to see that he wasn't human, she hadn't sinced that he was anything else perhaps he is a hybrid also she thought. This made her feel more comfortable. But when someone burst threw the door her reation was to cover her face with the mask yet again. "oh uhm hello rose it's a pleasure to meet you" she says while bowing her head yet again. This woman seemed nice but before she could examine her long a male joined in making fate jump. She steadies her heart beat and greets the man with a slight smile. She realizes the first female had left but she seemedto want time on her own.

"Who are you...

Cheyenne could breath again. He said yes! And even better, he can't dance. "Mad? Oh no, I would never be mad at you for not dancing, I don't have a clue myself." Her tone was calm and she had a nice calm smile on her face, but past that was an extremely nervous and excited young girl. She didn't even care that he didn't know when it was, but she answer. "It's tonight, Harry. No if you'll excuse me for just a moment..." she stood up quickly and went to the other room and shut the door behind her, leaving him alone in the room. She clenched her fists and smiled a huge, joyous smile. "I'm going to a masquerade!" she jumped up, feeling like she had won something. "Yes! Ha Ha!" she did a strange victory dance in which she stomped lightly on the ground with both her feet, like a 2 year old would do. She tooka big breath, ready to go back in a calm quiet girl again, but she opened the door and he was gone. If she hadn't know him she would have thought he ran off, but she guess he used his magic to go change, at least she hoped. She ran over to the wardrobe to get the dress and mask out of the protective plastic cover. She had never been to anything like a masquerade before and had no idea what to expect. She put the dress on, but it took a while, never wearing anything this big before. She held her breath so the corset would go as tight as possible. She tied her hair up in a tight ponytail, not sure what to do with it. She looked in the mirror. Alright, Cheyenne. Your 19, you have a date, your not going to worry about anything. Just try not to be a total goof. she told herself. She walked out the door walking down about 5 feet from her house, but she quickly paused. "Oh, my mask!" She left it inside. She walked slowly inside and up the steps, feeling unbalanced in her pointy shoes. She grabbed the golden, feathery mask off the counter and put it on over her red hair. Now she was ready, although she felt different now. She thought she was just being nervous, but something definitely felt different. She arrived outside the Masquerade, not going in until would come. Curiosity was getting to her. She was messing with the band that was tied around her head to keep the mask in place. Hurry, harry. Oh, I wonder what's its like... By the looks of the people outside, the inside must be amazing... She chuckled a bit, then sat on the stairs to the door. No sooner had she touched the stairs had Harry teleported to the step right next to her. She stood up and looked at him. "W-wow..." she said, blushing immensely. "I love your bow tie... and the cane is a nice touch." she laughed a bit. She stepped closer to him. "And your top hat is amazing!" She took another step up to him, but realized she was getting in his personal space, and took 2 steps back. Wow Cheyenne, you haven't done that before. Ugh, I'm not sure if he likes his personal space as a big bubble or little bubble. She put her hands behind her back, interlocking her fingers, letting him get a good look at her. With her corset so tight, she had a very small waist and deep curves. Truthfully she would have never picked this dress or mask, but she had nothing else, so she dealt with it. She wasn't sure if green was her color, or gold. "H-how do I look? Are your ready to go in?"

You seem so interesting...

Zero

Zero smiffed the air once more and thought for a second. It's that same smell again, a demphyr like me...maybe I should check it out. Zero did a mock bow towards the group. "I've got to go see another part of this masquerade for a second guys." Zero walked up to Riddian and looked at her for a second. "Hey, if you don't mind my asking, are you partly vampire?" Some icebreaker, no, more like ice shattering.

Aideen laughed slightly. "A whole lotta people say they can't dance, but I can truthfully say there is more than one out there on the floor right now." Aideen said, through a smell marking similar to Zero's, though her's was more shark than vampire, which isn't much of a difference.

Riddian had been focusing on the music so much, that she didn't hear Zero approach. So, she gave a slight flinch of surprise when he spoke. "Um, yeah. Why?" He smelled strange, and she couldn't quite identify the scent making her a little more uneasy than she already was.

Zero

"I figured, it's just a noticed that we smell almost alike, I'm also part vampire!" Zero said with zeal. "I first noticed when I found the smell at the arena, you went there didn't you?" He asked, putting his hand on the side of his "phantom of the opera" type mask.
PostPosted: Sat Jun 26, 2010 7:37 pm

So that was the smell. Riddian nodded. "Yeah. I did."she responded sounding distracted as she took note of the variety of masks for a pontential sketch. She'd recently been wondering if coming was a good idea, and now it didn't seem so bad since she found someone who was half and half like her.

Zero

Zero smiled. "For a while I thought I was the only demphyr here, do you know if there are any more like us?" Zero asked. He was slightly expecting her to say that she didn't at all.
PostPosted: Sat Jun 26, 2010 7:50 pm

"No.Sorry." Riddian gave a small apologetic smile and began taking note of the architecture for the sketch she might want to draw later. Her main hope for the masquerade was to find something that might trigger even the smallest memory, but so far, there had been nothing. A future sketch would have to do for now.

"Issac?" So was Zero a false name like his own - Notare? Whatever the case he would call the boy what he wanted. A name was a name. "Very well, Issac.." He paused, and chuckled. Looking at the boy he couldn't help but laugh. The uniform was so formal. And the mask that he wore..

He took that moment to look at everyone. Besides him and Fate everyone was still wearing their masks, and with everyone looking their best - including him- it made him feel..strange. He loosened the tie at his neck, and took it off. It was too crowded for his taste. His eyes continued to stray; to Rose, then to Fate, and back to Zero. Two beautiful ladies, and a kid. He wasn't sure why but he felt like some chaperon. Maybe he should have the two girls coil their arms with his, and have the kid behind him. But that sort of thing was beyond him.

He was in the middle of his thoughts when Rose spoke to him. His head snapped back in attention and he looked at her. Everything he just thought about fell to pieces as he was reminded why he had attended the bal lin the first place. What kind of question is that, RoRo?.. His tone suddenly changed, even if it was in his thoughts. And the look of his eyes shifted from their calm demeanor to some more hostile. It was the WAS who bombed WillBe, and it was the WAS who put that Clown in a coma. I'm a foreigner, I know. But I can't let them keep doing this, even if WillBe is filled with a bunch of pricks and t wats. Of course he was mad. Witnessing the havoc after the arena had set something off.

Mal?..

The three-letter word rang repeated in his head. Malice.. He muttered. Rose, where did you hear that name from? He couldn't be sure but that was the only name that came to mind.

His attention was little to the new member in their party, and he didn't even hear what Fate had said said. If it really is Malice..then.. He paused. You're listening aren't you, Ro? That was when he turned his attention to their new member. Another female (Aiyeen). "It got crowded." Dark answered. "And who are you?" This was why he hated socializing - there was always so many people to meet, and everyone was straying him from his objective. Even yet, he just couldn't seem to leave them. Why? Simple: Human nature didn't allow him. At least that was what he always called it.

His attention strayed towards Issac for a moment to watch him wander off back into the Ball. "......" He puffed out a scoff and turned his attention back to the stranger. The atmosphere felt tense, and he wasn't sure if it was just him. Dark was fuming, and though it looked like he was just mad outside he was raging inside.

He still waited for Rose's response, and turned to Fate one more time when she stepped back before turning attention to the short-stranger. Damn masks..

Fate was so lost. She knew nothing of the town but could she really bother these people and ask about this town. She realized she didn't even know the name of the town. Feeling useless she takes a step back following the conversation with a confused face

Harry took in Cheyenne's appearence. "You look absolutly amazing." He swept his top hat off and bowed low. He looked back up at her, his own eyes darkened, his head buzzing and swirling with magic. Residual power. He was prepared to sweep her off her feet. Literally. He held out his arm. "Shall we?"

Clay Rutherford User Image

Clay had silently nodded and given a small bow to the female who'd given him quite the interesting conversation, acknowledging her departure, but was now mulling over her words, attempting to find some sense as to why she would say them.

"Conform," he muttered to himself. He couldn't actually believe someone would think that. Clay'd rather roll over and die than just become a conformist member of "regular" society. Why, if he did that, he'd be little more than an automaton aimed at pleasing everyone but himself. "Psh... Conform..." he muttered again.

Knowing that his conversation partner was long gone by now, Clay still decided to rebuke her statement, walking slowly and aimlessly around. Although he was in a daze as he shuffled his feet onward, Clay was just aware enough to not bump into anyone. "If you conform, he spoke aloud to no one in particular, "you become nothing more than what people want to make you... And any knowledge, power, or whatever else you've achieved will rightfully belong to them... So you, personally, achieved nothing." Clay thought it a good reason not to conform. He was sure the woman would agree with him on that... Right?

Through his stupor, Clay hadn't noticed he'd effectively come up on an ice statue of a dancing couple. Just one of a few scattered around here and there in the room in a decorative way. His eyes opened wide in slight shock. The sheer precision the sculpture showed was amazing. The couple looked nearly lifelike. It was almost as if... Clay had made them himself, they were so good.

A grin spread in the ice master's face as he leaned gently upon the gentleman ice figure, their backs pressed against each other. It was only just taller than he, so their shoulders were just nearly at the same height. Clay always felt comfortable and relaxed when around ice. It was simply natural to him. "She says to conform... Can you believe that? You wouldn't just conform to others' rules, would you?"

As if having a life of its own, but only because of Clay's will, the male ice statue turned it head back slightly to look at the man who commanded it and shrugged, shaking it's head slowly before settling back into place.

"Yeah, I thought so, too. You guys always know just what to say, don't you?" The grin on Clay's face persisted as he continued watching the dance before him. Everyone moving as one seemed very... Boring. Nothing stood out. Nothing called attention. It was simply... Dull. No originality at all...

'Challenge everything and never give up your rebellious nature.'
≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎

Rose turned her head, eyes meeting Dark's when she heard his voice change to what she thought was angry. Indeed, when she looked at him that was what he seemed to be. She listened calmly to what he said, while she was mad at his sudden outrage, she kept it well hidden and supressed. She'd always been good at keeping her true feelings hidden, for the most part. When she answered, she kept her voice even, despite the fact that it took a great amount of self-control to do so. And why would you assume that I don't care about the town either? I was simply asking a question, not need to get snappy. Also, it's nice to know what you think about the people that live in WillBe. She lived in WillBe after all, she guessed that made her one too in Dark's eyes; a worthless, rude WillBe citizen.

Still a little pissed at Dark, she gave him only a few short responses to what he was asking about this 'Malice'. The name was not familiar to her, but she figured that she'd come across it sometime. Malice. . . I guess that could be it. And I heard someone 'think' it here actually. Tread carefully, Dark. They may not be up to any good, she said to him as she made her goodbye's and walked off away from the group. She was sure Dark probably knew why she'd left, that she was angry with him was probably obvious. As a last thought, she blocked Dark completely from her mind, not wanting to hear him for a little while at least. If she could do only one thing well in this world, it was to hold a grudge against a person for a great amount of time. It wasn't exactly something she was proud of, but she couldn't help it.

As she walked, she looked around at the decorations that had been set up for the Masquerade and about came to a complete standstill when she thought she saw one of the ice statues head's move. She then noticed that a man was leaning against the statue, he seemed familiar to her as well. Where had she met him before? It took her a few minutes but after trying to picture him without a mask, she figured out that it was the Clay that she had met in the tavern earlier today. She heard the last bit of what he'd said and nearly laughed. "Talking to statues are we?" she asked Clay, an amused smile on her lips. "Though, I do admit making the ice statue move was pretty cool."

Zero

Zero watched Riddian draw then stretched his arms, this suit was making him feel like he was wearing a suit of armor, it felt heavy. "Hey, I'm guessing we both didn't dress up for no reason, wanna dance?" He asked, he had to do something before he'd go crazy from lack of action again. He looked out at the crowd, things were still in full swing, near the beggining too, now he wanted to join in, this place was a curse.

"Oh sorry, the name's Aideen, part shark and newest addition of Is." She lied, she knew Is wasn't as unified as it use to be so saying she was one of them would make it really tough to guess if it was a lie. Despite the fact that she was playing the innocent young girl, she was also playing as an Is, that was an amazing act to keep up for somebody who just wanted to kill. You couldn't tell she had a really bad bloodlust by looking at her. She smiled at Dark. "What about you, asking for somebody's name without giving your own isn't very polite in some places."
