[Dawn : Isle of Tortuga : Port]
Dawn sighed a little as she her question was left unanswered. Not as if she was expecting an answer in the first place. Everyone was more focused on chewing out Kyle. Without saying word, Dawn picked up the daggers that belonged to Louis and placed them into a couple of sheaths on her right hip.... she never noticed them there before. Dawn wasn't going to leave the daggers on the ground.

After picking up the daggers she slowly attempted to stand and join the others, only to fall back to her knees again. Her right hand went to her head, it pounded like no other and had a large lump on the back. She could also feel her arm stinging from when Chaos got her with his blade....

[Kai:Flying Dutchmen/ Dark Portal >Hawaii: Lugae's Lab]The dark pictomancer didn't even bother to answer the whiney being who was examining her nails like some backwards vain looking teenager. She just let her bicker with the voices in her head; sucks to be her, stuck with a summon probably twice as annoying as she was. Kai on the other hand, and no problems with her summon. She-it was quiet. It said nothing, felt nothing, it simply existed like a dorment presence in the back of her mind. No- not even a presence, that would indicate some kind of will, Obsisian Carbuncle- had no will. No thoughts, no voice or sign of a mind of it's own. It was simply there, and it was quiet.
 Just how Kai liked it.

She held the swathed bundled against herself, she felt the energy inside it swurlling, also dorment and quiet- but this thing most definiatlly had a mind and will. It was simply waiting to be set loose.
She stroked the top side almost lovingly, a strange smile on her face. Proud, pleased, expectant. One would say almost motherly, if not for the odd shadow in her eyes that indicated this was anything but a child and it's mother, this was a 'monster', a dark creation and it's Creative Master.

"Tear her.. tear them all to peices." she cooed to it under her breath. A strange ripple went through it, like colors on the surface of oil. It heard her. Soon the fun would begin and the first stage of her Magnum Opus would be unveiled.

 Don't say it, don't be a hypocrit...F*** it.

"Oh, yeah, Kyle, because being a f***ing martyr is such a wonderful idea! Why don't we all just f***ing martyr ourselves 'for the good of the group'? I'm sure that'll make everyone goddamn happy!"

"God! For someone so damn smart, you're f***ing stupid!" And with that, Joe sent his fist out flying, punching Kyle in the face. And boy, did it connect.

"JESUS MOTHER F***ING CHRIST!!!" Joe yelled out, clutching his own fist and swaggering away. He ended up hurting himself with that punch, but he was too angry to actually care. Hell, he was lucky that all he did was punch the dragoon.

But, Joe kept moving away from the group to go stew in his anger, calling out to anyone that'd come close "Let me be. I don't need a target right now."

Az, sitting on Bal-Hur's shoulders with the Unversed's hands roaming up and down the replica's pantlegs as he walked, smirked at Elleon.

"Because here is way better then that piece of rotting driftwood. Plus, think of all the sex on the beach. Drink and action." His hand moved through Bal-Hur's hair as he spoke, his face going into a kind of eased relaxtion at the thought of sex on the beach.

[Jenny :: Isle of Tortuga :: Port]
She hated arguments. And shouting matches. And excessive use of curse words. It reminded her of her childhood, something she didn't need. Not that her father every cursed in English but it felt similar. Jenny shied away and glanced down at the floor, cringing with each shouted profanity. Seven times, Jenny counted, trying to keep her mind of memories. Should she just leave now, just report back to Sayrike that Joe seemed in tip-top shape.

And then of course, was the resonating sound of fist colliding with face. Jenny whirled her head over in utter shock, glancing between Joe and Kyle multiple times. She opened her mouth to call his name, thought better of it and closed it. The mage rushed over to the Holy Knight and a faraway sound of a flute echoed before time slowly rewound itself for Kyle's wounds. She was tired, people almost died, people we shouting and Jenny felt like crying. She could feel the edges of her eyes burning and getting blurry. What a crybaby...

Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out a single potion bottle and thrust it into Kyle's hands in case the healing spell hadn't been enough. "He's... just worried. You really gave us a fright, that's all..."

Kuja waved a hand lightly as he hovered over, and the six Holy spheres seemed to swirl around Dawn- she was immediately healed to full health. Kuja didn't seem to be fazed.

Kyle, only semi-surprised by the punch, let his body bend with the force, knowing full well that attempted to stop it would only do more damage. By the time he was at a complete stop, he was practically bent over and sideways, holding his jaw with his hand. Massaging it lightly, he made no motion to get revenge, no hint at frustration. Just raised himself back up, moved his jaw around a few good times, and watched after him. "Thanks," he muttered to Jenny, though even that seemed distant.

"I'd do it again and again if it was to keep you people safe," Kyle muttered, loud enough for Jenny, Noelle, and anyone else particularly close by to hear, but his eyes remained locked on Joseph's back. There was no more glare, no more anger- he'd just reverted back to apathy. "And so would he. Just angry that I lost another one..."

His voice seemed to die out from that point as he looked away, trying to focus on some irrelevant piece of rubble. Another one. Another one lost because of his actions. First, Rachel due to the Replicas, and now Louis due to Chaos.

Two lives weighed on his conscience now. His hands were drenched in their blood.

 "It was... logical."

Noelle's shoulders sank as she watched Kyle and Joe, a hard look coming across her face. She didn't really know what to think. She wasn't going to take sides because she understood where the both of them came from--even if she felt a little sympathetic for what Kyle was thinking, shuffling her feet at what he mumbled. Though, the last thing they needed was a rift in the group. In her mind, they were both being stupid.

 Arguments are stupid . . .

The blonde rubbed her face and called out, "Anybody else hurt? I mean besides their goddam feelings? Stubbed toes? Paper cuts? Gaping wounds?"

With a frustrated sigh, Noelle looked down at Sayrike and tried to muster a smile. "Sorry, I'm being rude. My name is Noelle, what's yours?"

[Jenny :: Isle of Tortuga :: Port]
Why did it have to be like this? Hardly a day had passed. The Kingdom Hearts world really wasn't what she had thought of it to be. She knew that from the moment they left Disney Castle but still. Spirited away into one of your favorite games only to lose people left and right. It wasn't the way things were supposed to go. Jenny thought she had learned things by now, but she felt as small and as hopeless as ever.

Biting her lip, Jenny returned her hands to her side. The atmosphere was solemn, all of the songs reflected that. She looked down at Kyle as his voice drifted into silence. His own song mirrored his voice. Becoming a little softer and slower. Not softer in the sense of a lullaby by almost weakened. The flutist shook her head clear of the music, she didn't want to listen. Not one bit. No one could make her. Why couldn't anyone be happy? For the sake of saving her mind from insanity.

 Selfish.

She clenched her hands before speaking, a little more strained than before. "Don't blame yourself... and plus, you never know," Jenny inhaled a breath of dusty air, trying to keep her voice steady, "Louis knows how to use portals... he could portal away from Chaos..." She felt something hot tear slide down her cheek, oh god who was she kidding? It was Chaos. It was Louis... he didn't even have a heartbound weapon! He had eaten cotton candy with her. The mage looked down at the floor again, letting her hair work as a blind, a barrier as it had been throughout her entire life to hide her face from allowing all her raw emotions to escape.

She felt so lost that she couldn't even chuckle at Noelle's lighthearted words. Maybe I should busy myself...

 "And run away?"

 It works.

			            [Tortuga ~ Port]
A loud skwak could be heard from inland not too far away from the group. Though it wasn't just one, it was a series of distressed cries from some sort of bird. The source would soon be found, as a chocobo came frantically running up, its passenger just as frantically trying to hold on. It was none other than Jack Sparrow, riding Sora's chocobo, Destati. The poor bird ran nearly to the center of the gathered group and halted, bending forward to dislodge his rider. And dislodge him he did.

Jack came hurtling off the chocobo, tumbling over its neck and being dumped on the ground. He hardly seemed flustered--the only expression he wore was one of discomfort at having landed so hard on the ground. He stood and dusted himself off nonchalantly, waving the bird away.

"Tortuga has lost my interest, what with all the interest . . . not being here. I've come to announce my departure. Whether you come with me or not." He declared, debating on whether he should mention how much unattended rum he found.

			            [[Louis : ??? : ???]]
Louis stood up slowly, shaking his head as he got up to his feet. The portal they'd fallen through was angled perfectly so that they'd come out in a roll instead of flat into the floor. He'd fallen away from Chaos in the impact but now he was back up and looking over at the avatar. The glow in his eyes grew in ferocity and his pupils sharpened into those reminiscent of a snakes, "You..."

He droned on with the word eerily as he took a step forward. The sound echoed off the empty walls of the massive stone interior of the dark building. The noise, so simple yet cracking like thunder in comparison to the silence that hung before against the naked stone blocks.

Around them, the light from the glass windows that shone so brightly, giving the empty hall an almost holy, cathedral appearance, dimmed as though someone were drawing the curtains, only there were none to be seen. It was growing darker, darker and darker still... till there was close to nothing visible from the roof of the giant trapezoidal hall to the floor, aside from the pair of glowing purple eyes that grew closer accompanied by one lone step after the other.

A door at the far end of the hall creaked, a small glimmer of light trying to peak through before it slammed shut forcefully from the inside.

The eyes finally stopped, looming over the Avatar of Chaos. The sharpness of the eyes was able to run the blood of even the bravest men cold as ice. Suddenly accompanying the sound a screeching metal the darkness ripped away from the windows and the walls, pulling in and releasing a sucking sound like air entering a vacuum. The doors flung open and light poured in from every direction filling the space in the absence of darkness yet still unable to approach the two as Louis held up a rapier coated in the blackest of black, so deep that the blade drew one's eyes into it forever.

His purple gaze still rested mercilessly on the tormented Avatar as he spoke again, "Tell me... what REASON do you have... that I should not end your miserable, pathetic life, right now?" He paused but gave no time before he exploded, "ANSWER ME! Nick, Avatar of Chaos!"

			            [Alan :: The Betting Table]
The blaze swooped down to intercept the samurai before he could attack Kyle. "What happened to taking care of me, Hideyoshi?"

Without waiting for an answer, she dove into a tackle. Right before impact, a massive afterimage of her made of fire formed - a gigantic blaze on direct collision course with Cory's bodyguard.

Alan had been expecting another teleport-attack from Cory. In fact, he had counted on it. In fact, this was Just as Planned. Let's see . . . last time I dodged forward, so this time - he jumped back, putting his arms up to guard his head. However, in his battered state, he wasn't quite fast enough to avoid all of Cory's attack. He dodged the wost of it - the actual foot - but some of the residual energy struck his right side, stinging his arm and ribs.

And so was exposed a flaw in Alan's plan (other than the fact that it was based on a gamble. Alan didn't actually know that Cory had to physically move during bursts, but he was betting on it.). Cory had fallen for his trap brilliantly, but the overchannel had left him with . . . questionable ability to hold out long enough to execute the next part.

 Hear me, o dormant winds . . .

He was jolted into awareness by the odd sensation of the rain of fire striking his flesh. His skin burnt and then healed as quickly. It hurt, but it wasn't wholly unpleasant. Meanwhile, the sensation of his organs rearranging into a sensible order filled his chest cavity. He could do this. . .

"Hear me, o heart of cyclone!"

A fierce wind roared as Alan invoked the power of Aerora. It took the simplest form an elemental spell can - 'surround'. And so, the two fighters found themselves in the eye of a whirlwind.

The cyclone pulled the motes of fire that were falling from the sky into itself from all around, swiftly taking the form of a whirlwind of fire. Because its component fire was taken from the surrounding environment, there was never a point in time where they were not surrounded by fire - indeed, the rain abated as the motes in their vicinity were sucked into the winds surrounding them. To escape, one would have to run through a wall of intensely strong wind and absurdly hot fire.

And then, the whirlwind contracted, becoming not a cyclone, but a pillar of fire hot enough to turn flesh to ash or to thoroughly ruin a good meal.

"It's a nice enough place", Alan said as the flames closed in on the two of them. "It's hot, but the work's fulfilling, and there's no lullaby like the burning fire and the screams of the damned."

((Note: This is the last post Regen is active in for Alan.))

"Destati- the heck?" Sora said, running over to the poor bird, scratching the bird's neck before patting it lightly. Destati seemed absolutely frazzled, torn between pecking away at Jack's head and just high-tailing it. "It's okay, you can go back to the train now-"

The bird didn't even wait. Warking loudly, the bird dashed off back to the train, leaving the sight of devastation without a second thought.

"Possible. He's quite the sneaker," he began before shaking his head, his voice slowly building back up to its normal volume. Jack had just pulled up, and would serve as the perfect thing to focus on right now. They needed to get to Calypso, after all.

"That depends, Jack. Are you going to see Tia Dalma?" he asked, glancing over to the captain, his look of apathy remaining. "I would assume so, as she does have your Pearl."

"Ugh. We have to actually sail?" Kuja muttered in the back, audible only to Dawn and Sayrike. "Disgusting. Can't I just meet you there?"

[Cory; Summon .:. The Betting Table]
Cory was now visibly annoyed. Not by the "trap" Alan had apparently set for him, but for the continuous flukes. Over and over, the mage seemed to call upon a physical speed and strength enough to successfully dodge Cory's attacks, despite the ronin himself being a master of physical combat.

He looked around at the fire cyclone around them, the heat getting to him easily as he pulled at the collar of his shirt. However, it did not remove the look of bored annoyance from the rogue's face as his eyes turned back to Alan. The Will around his legs began to burn even brighter as darkness soon accompanied it, his foot-speed now reaching levels comparable to even the fastest of Replicas. He slipped his hands into his pockets as he glared at Alan, no longer willing to let him simply slip through his assaults.

"I had intended on taking you out as quickly as possible. Defeating Kyle will now have to be quite a strain now that you've forced me to stack darkness onto the Will, but drawing this out any longer will be even more of a strain." The ronin lunged at Alan, a blue of black, blue, and indigo rushing in Alan's direction. In fact, it would not be the only one. Cory let out a barrage of kicks, striking at Alan over and over without hesitation. Even with only his legs, Cory's attack speed was unrivaled by another Earthling. His forte was this- ending this in a quickened, blurred manner. If I take him out this cyclone will lose it's edge, if not fade completely. There's no way he can take me out now, and besides... The ronin gripped the contents of his pockets as he attacked, thinking to himself, He'll never see this coming.

The summon was alerted by a short bark from his dog, vanishing from from his position and reappearing a safe distance from the blaze as the dog dashed to the opposite direction. It was now clearly obvious that Cory's Burst Movement was inherited from the bodyguard, as this was the speed belonging to a samurai capable of killing in an instant.

The samurai let a pair of kunai loose from his hand, sending them in the blaze's direction as he only offered a stern look to the creature. The dog then charged at the summon from the other side, leaping at it with it's teeth bared.

Alan had no hope, obviously, of defending against Cory's flurry of kicks. One by one, they struck him fiercely, the familiar sensation of blunt trauma blooming like flowers of pain on Alan's body. Alan lept back with the force of the kicks, not really preventing any damage, but at least launching him out of the cyclone right before it impacted. Incidentally, as both its component spells were already fully cast, Alan's defeat did nothing to abate it. At this point, mere momentum sufficed to plot its course towards calamity.

As his consciousness faded, he saw the tornado collapse into a pillar around Cory. He collapsed to one knee. That really should finish him - almost no-one could survive that, and if his weakness was magic . . .

 Well, if it doesn't . . . Kyle . . . I leave the rest to you.

As Alan fell, the blaze faded from visibility. "Hey," she said as she did so, addressing her fellow summon. "Nice meeting 'ya, Yoshimitsu! Take good care of the crazy guy, 'kay?"

The blonde boy stopped mid curse and stared at Louis in a mix of shock and anger. Yes, he was scared. But dammit, this wasn't his fault in the slightest! Chaos snapped and decided to get all crazy. Pressing his palms against the ground, he released a blast of air and landed on his feet with some form of grace.

"This was not my *@&$)@# fault, 'Mateus'." He growled, his blade gauntlets appearing in a flash of light.

"I came to Tortuga for one reason and one reason only: To hopefully locate my teacher once again. I have some things I needed to discuss with her. I did not know that Ultima and your group were going to be there; if I had, I wouldn't have even been on the same world. I'm not going to fight you, Mateus. Now put your weapon away and be a civilized being and not a mindless savage like my idiot of a summon."

Although Nick stated he had no intention of fighting, he kept his blades summoned and in a defensive position. He slowly backed away, but kept his eyes trained on Mateus' avatar. He would not die here. He wasn't going to stop until he had what he wanted...if he could even get it at all.
