That's ridiculous, how can anyone get work done with that many people living there?

I don't think people generally stick around their dorm rooms much, aside from sleeping.

Makes sense. I guess that's why colleges have living areas with couches with TVs.

:'D Well that's not my college. I mean, there is a "fireside lounge," but I don't know who actually uses it. Plus it's for the entire building so it's a little awkward. On my floor we do have a lounge but it's mostly for meetings/studying.
Los Angeles is going through a major heat wave (in October!). I have two fans blasting at me from two different directions. How's the weather in Minnesota?

Think you'll be spending a lot of your time in the study room?
It's been pretty nice so far (70s-80s) but the temperature is just going to drop 20 degrees on Thursday and that's probably what the rest of the season will be like.

Depends. My roommates' and my schedules don't really mesh during the day, so I actually get the dorm room to myself a lot.
It's been mid-70s, and it's going to be that way for the rest of the week, and... yeah, I have no complaints about the weather emotion_yatta

That must be nice. Is your roommate cool though? Like normal at least?
Ugh, Californians have it easy when it comes to weather. (minus the earth quakes)

I have two roommates. They're both pretty cool, and one's just awesome.
I keep waiting for it to get colder, but I have a feeling it won't. It's in the 50s or 60s in the mornings and evenings, and it's 70s midday.
Yeah, I have yet to experience an earthquake. I'm half looking forward to one? When I was in Illinois, there was apparently an earthquake in the middle of the night that woke everyone up and shook around furniture, but I slept right through it.

What makes the awesome one awesome?
Pretty sure the weather there won't get past 40.
Weird, I didn't think there were earthquakes in the midwest.

She's just really easy to be friends with.
Yeah, yesterday's weather was perfect, high 60s and low 70s the whole day. Weird spike in heat today. I'm pretty sure I'm in for a weather shock when I go home over winter break.
It was definitely a rare occurrence.

Is she one of those really bubbly people?
At least you'll have a white Christmas.

Yeah, I honestly don't think I would have gotten along period with my second roommate if it weren't for her. Actually, now I think about it and if I had been placed in a double with just the other not-as-awesome roommate, I would have hated staying in my dorm room.
I'll have a white Christmas if it even snows this winter. It barely snowed last year.

It's weird how stuff like that works.
I'm guessing there will be a good amount of snow this year all around. I'm not sure what's usual for you back at home but we had our first snowfall just a couple days ago. It didn't stick though because it was so warm.

Yeah, I have a friend who goes to University of Minnesota, and she was telling me about the first snowfall. I don't think it's snowed in Chicago yet, but it's definitely not going to snow here. I told my roommate it was seventy-seven degrees out yesterday, and she couldn't decide if it was cold or not.
