Sora’s jaw clenched as he heard Roxas’s voice again in his head. Well, it wasn’t his fault that Roxas hadn’t noticed Riku and Naminé’s obvious flirting! It’d been almost a month or something like that! What was he supposed to do, waltz right up to his Nobody and point out that the girl he was destined to be with had decided to court his Other’s best friend? And at that point, he’d been too naïve to even consider himself and Kairi being a couple, meaning he hadn’t seen Naminé and Roxas as a couple either. So really, Roxas had brought it on himself. However, the brunette remained tuned into what the other was doing, and found out that he’d stopped fighting by how calmer he seemed to be. He felt a slight bit of pain in his shoulder, no doubt an assault from Riku to Roxas. He’d get the silvernette back for that one in a duel sometime, for sure. He decided, however, to let his Nobody be for a while, at least until things got out of hand again.

Sora looked over at Lakayna to see her get attacked. There weren’t too many Heartless left, but enough to cause problems. One big attack should’ve taken care of all of them. But what? Sora’s gaze fell on Kairi for an instant, and suddenly he got an idea. He quickly went to her side and helped her fight off a Gargoyle so he could have her undivided attention.
”Kairi! I think we can finish this!” he exclaimed, slashing his Keyblade through that Heartless and turning to the red-head. ”Remember what we did in the Land of Dragons? Let’s do it again, only I think it’ll be stronger this time!” He knew this because -- even though before their hearts had been connected -- they were more together than they’d even been before. Their relationship strengthened their hearts and their light, so there wasn’t a doubt in his head that Thalassa Promise would be stronger now. He took a stance and grabbed the hilt of his Keyblade with both hands, his arms extended. He looked over at Kairi, motioning for her to do the same beside him. He could already feel the light growing inside of him.

((No Jack. But after Kairi posts, I think we can finish off the Heartless with their limit. Is that okay with all of you? There'll be plenty of fighting at the dance too, and someone else can of course have the spotlight there until the villains steal the show.))

Lakayna twirled like a ballerina now, holding her hands high over her head. The ribbons swirled around her in a beautiful fashion, and any Heartless that dared try to come close enough to do damage to the dragoness only met with a fiery end.

Sora came and backed Kairi up as she fought the Gargoyles and Wright Knights. She smiled as the brunette encouraged her, telling her she was doing great. Shortly after Naminé had told Kairi what was happing Ari came running up to her brother and told him what Kairi had just heard. The Keybearer said the guys would have to wait until they were done with the Heartless. Ari joined them in the fight, but said that they might want to hurry.

As the Princess fought she felt a sudden sadness wash over her, and a few tears fell from her eyes. This, no doubt, was coming from Naminé. The crimsonette wiped the tears away, wishing she could help her Other, but there were still Heartless to deal with. They needed to get rid of them quickly, but how? As the crimsonette fought a Gargoyle, Sora came to her aid and finished it. He then exclaimed to her that he thought they could finish this, and asked if she remembered what they had done in The Land of Dragons. Kairi smiled and nodded, "Yes! Of course I remember." Their limit, Thalassa Promise. It had been just her and Sora fighting the Storm Rider and they had used their limit to finish it. The Keyblade Master said they should do it again and that he thought it would be stronger this time. "Okay! And I agree, I think it'll be stronger this time too!" the Princess exclaimed. It was bound to be. Their hearts had always been connected, but the two of them were more together than they had ever been before. Their hearts and their light were strengthed by their relationship and love.

The red head watched Sora as he took a stance and grabbed the hilt of his Keyblade with both hands, his arms extended. The Keyblade Master then looked over at the Princess, motioning for her to do the same beside him. Kairi walked up and stood next to Sora and did as he did, feeling the the light glowing inside of her. "Ready?" she asked with a grin.

Sora smiled as Kairi claimed that she remembered their limit. She took a stance similar to his own next to him and asked him if he was ready. He gave a firm nod, then looked around the area real fast to see if everyone was okay. He knew he’d be completely out of magic after this move, so he had to make sure no one was in need of a Cure spell beforehand. He caught sight of everyone fighting, but no one looked hurt. They were just getting tired, which was understandable. So he could do the limit, and just pray that Roxas and Riku hadn’t beat each other to an inch of their death by the time he got there, because he’d have no magic to heal them with. Still, he felt no adrenaline from his Nobody, making him wonder what was up. He’d find out soon enough.

Sora focused on his Keyblade and on the light Kairi gave him. He glanced at her from the corner of his eyes, making him smirk. He still couldn’t believe they were together. But those feelings would have to wait, or at least contribute to the final attack. The ground beneath him began to shine, much like what happened when he sealed a passageway to another world. Except, instead of the light forming a crown, it made a snake-like line that formed a couple yards ahead of them. It spread from that one point, going in two directions, one around him and one around Kairi. It wasn’t until it started to reach behind him that he realized it was forming a heart. The two ends of the light curled into the head of the heart just behind the pair, twisting around into spirals at their feet. The heart filled in with light and spread through the area, creating a blinding display. He could only wait now and see where the limit would lead next.

When Kairi asked Sora if he was ready he gave a firm nod in agreement. The crimsonette winked back to him, signaling that she was ready too. She watched as the brunette looked around the area and figured that he was making sure that everyone was okay and didn't need any healing, since the move they were about to perform would take all his magic. The red head could heal them if need be, but to the her relief everyone seemed fine.

The Keybearer focused on his Keyblade, and the ground beneath them suddenly began to shine. A light formed a couple yards ahead of them, making a snake-like line. Kairi watched as it spread from that one point, going in two directions, one around her and one around Sora. The red head smiled as she saw that the light was forming heart around them. Subconsciously the crimsonette reached into her pouch with her free hand, pulled out her Thalassa Lucky Charm, clasped it tightly, and held it to her heart.
The two ends of the light curled into the head of the heart just behind the couple, twisting around into spirals at their feet. The heart then filled in with light which spread throughout the area, creating a blinding exhibition. The Princess closed her eyes. She could feel the light shining brightly in her and Sora's hearts. So it didn't surprise her when she opened her eyes and saw that they began to glow with a soft golden light. Kairi gripped her Keyblade tightly and raised it straight into the air. She twisted it, as if unlocking something, and a beam of light erupted from it. A moment later, above the Heartless, a meteor shower of shooting stars fell upon them and stuck them. Sora's blinding light and her shooting stars were a good starter distraction. Now it was time to get down to business. "Sora!" Kairi exclaimed as she sprang into action with him. Things were just getting warmed up.

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.~

After Sora’s attack had finished, he saw Kairi out of the corner of his eye slip the Thalassa Lucky Charm out of her pouch and cling on to it. This made him smile broadly, as it was kind of a symbol of their loyalty to each other, even before they’d become a couple. They used it to keep promises, and now he promised silently that he would never let her get hurt as long as he could help it and that he would always be there for her. And to start that promise off on a good note, he had to finish clearing off these Heartless. Kairi had already done a sufficient job by shooting off meteors of light that were obliterating the Heartless nearby. His own bright light had caused several to fade into oblivion, so now there were only a few remaining.
”Alright, let’s do this!” he shouted, turning to grin at the crimsonette. He could feel the light inside him growing more connected to her and felt his feet lift off the ground.

Sora’s body, as well as Kairi’s were covered in light. It glowed around them like some sort of aura, except it was physically there. Something inside of Sora told him what he needed to do, so he just went with his instincts. He floated over to Kairi and put her hand over hers, the one that was holding her Keyblade. He motioned for her to do the same to his Keyblade. When that had been accomplished, it was if their power had been completely bonded. A massive amount of light formed at their two Keyblades’ tips, then shot off in a thick and powerful beam. They started to turn so that all the Heartless in the area would be hit. Since there were so few left, it didn’t take long to completely demolish the rest. Once that was over, their bodies dimmed and they softly touched down on the ground. Reluctantly, Sora let go of Kairi’s hand. He was a little worn out from using that much energy, but it had been worth it.
”That was amazing,” he told her, then let his emotions take over. He wrapped his free arm around her back and pulled her into an embrace, pressing his face into the top of her head where her hat wasn't located. He took in a deep breath and smiled in her hair. He didn’t want to let her go, so he didn’t. For now.

((Jack will be in my next post. But if this isn't okay, Otaku, let me know and I'll edit. Again, just guessing pretty much on the whole thing.))

Lakayna watched the limit Sora and Kairi preformed in awe. It was so beautiful. She shielded her eyes slightly so they woun't be blinded by the bright light. When the limit was over and the Heartless were gone and the light faded back down; Lakayna pulled her hand away from her eyes. Before her, Sora and Kairi were embracing. Lakayna put one hand on her hip and smiled. "It's about time," she said, regarding the two of them finally coming together as a couple. Lakayna wanted to Sout 'Kiss her already Sora!' but she had a feeling that could potentially land her in hot water, so Lakayna held her tongue and kept that thought to herself.

"Right!" Kairi grinned in return as Sora shouted "let's do this!" She felt the light inside her growing stronger and more connected to Sora. And just as they had done the time before, the two rose into the air. The brunette floated over to the red head and put his hand over her hand which held her Keyblade. He motioned for her to do the same for his. So the Princess gently placed her free hand over Sora's Keyblade wielding one. Once she had, an immense amount of light formed at the tips of their two Keyblades, which then shot off in an impenetrable and powerful beam. The couple spun around so that all the Heartless in the area would face their attack. There were only a few left, so in no time at all they were completely obliterated by the heavenly light.

Once the creatures were defeated things were calm again. The pair softly landed on the ground, their bodies dimming as they did so. The Keybearer let go of the crimsonette's hand, and she reluctantly let go of his. Kairi smiled as Sora told her that that had been amazing. She nodded in agreement, "Yeah, it was."

The to her surprise and joy, the brunette wrapped his free arm around her back and pulled her into an embrace, pressing his face into the top of her head where her hat wasn't located. The Princess welcomed the embrace and sighed in contentment. She smiled then wrapped her free arm around him as well. Blushing slightly, the crimsonette closed her eyes rested her head against his chest, never wanting him to let go. His chest was so warm... And damp? Kairi's eyes shot open. That's right! She had completely forgotten about the deep gash across his chest. "Sora!" Kairi suddenly exclaimed. She lightly placed her hand on his chest. "Are you okay?" she asked softly as she looked up and him with worried eyes. She needed to get him bandaged up quickly.

((Lol I would have loved to have seen their reactions if Lakayna had actually said that out loud! XD))

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.~

As Sora had hugged Kairi, she’d hugged him back. He heard Lakayna at least make a comment, to which he slightly raised an eyebrow, then shrugged it off. It didn’t matter. He was happy with Kairi, and he didn’t care if others thought it had taken them forever to get together. Then Kairi rested her head against his chest, making him wince slightly. Why? Oh! That’s right. He was reminded as she pulled out of his embrace that he’d received a really deep wound from that Heartless. The adrenaline was rushing away and now he could feel the pain. She asked him if he was okay, and he just chuckled weakly.
”I’ve had worse,” he replied with a small shrug. He wouldn’t remind her that he’d stabbed himself with the dark Keyblade to release her heart a while back. That had hurt. But this wasn’t pleasant. He started to raise his Keyblade to heal himself, then stopped. He had no magic. Great. ”Uhh… Kairi? You… You want to heal me?” He felt kind of embarrassed to have to ask that. But hey, he had no choice. Besides, it was Kairi. He didn’t if she cured his injuries.

Jack had been fighting off some more Heartless when there was a bright flash. He paused in what he was doing to turn and see that Sora and Kairi were performing a limit of some sort. It reminded the skeleton of his own limit, in which the Keyblade Master and himself danced around using an assortment of spells. He thought it was quite the show, but this was interesting as well. It reminded him of fireworks, or at least what he’d heard about them from Independence Town. It wasn’t long until the two were finished, and all the Heartless were gone. Everyone seemed calmer now, which was good. Hopefully the citizens back in Guillotine Square wouldn’t have noticed what had happened and they’d still be having a happy Halloween. For now, he wanted to check on Blink, Mildred, and of course, Sally. So the Pumpkin King strode over to them, smiling down at them.
”How are we all doing over here?” he questioned. ”You all did fantastic, by the way. I’d love to see more of your talents someday! Oops, I rhymed! Hee hee hee… I’d better save that for Christmas!”

At Kairi's question Sora just chuckled weakly. The Princess frowned slightly finding nothing funny about it, but the small frown quickly disappeared and was replaced with a small smile. That was just Sora's way of dealing with things. The brunette then gave a small shrug saying he had had worse. The red head nodded, knowing that what he said was indeed true. The Keybearer then began to raise his Keyblade, then stopped. The red head figured that he was going to heal himself, but then remembered that he had no magic at the moment. Kairi giggled quietly as Sora asked if she wanted to heal him. "Of course I do," she answered with a grin. The crimsonette raised her Keyblade, keeping her other hand softly placed on his chest. "Heal," she whispered casting Curaga. The spell not only came from the power of her Keyblade, but the power of her heart. Kairi was still so full of light and love inside that it powered up her cure spell. Her hand on his chest glowed lightly, healing him. The light faded and the Princess lowered her Keyblade. Keeping a straight face, she then slowly and delicately ran her hand up and down Sora's chest trying to assess the wound, but all the while was desperately trying to fight back the blush that was playing across her cheeks from the physical contact as she did so. Kairi then finally looked at Sora again. "Better?" she asked smiling, though traces of worry were still etched in her eyes.

The Princess turned away for a moment and cast a cure spell on the rest of her friends just to make sure they were okay, using up the rest of her magic. She sighed, suddenly feeling the pain and the tiredness from the battle. Kairi paid no attention it though as she turned back to Sora and looked into his eyes, waiting to hear if he was doing better.

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.~

Sora was a little intimidated by Kairi’s frown after he’d told her that he’d had worse. But then she softened up and listened to him ask her to heal him. Of course she agreed, then placed her hand on his chest. She cast Cure and he felt the green light wash over him and start to close the wound. It felt awfully powerful for a Cure spell, and then he realized that Kairi had to be doing something else to it. He smiled down at her as she finished the spell and then passed her hand over where the gash had been. She was blushing, but he grabbed her wrist gently, slipping his hand into hers.
”All better,” he replied as she asked him if it was okay. ”Thank you.” Then she pulled away for a moment to heal the others. He was a little saddened that she’d separated from him, even though it was just temporary. He’d liked her hand where it’d been. It felt right to have her hand on his heart. The crimsonette finally looked back at him, obviously a little skeptical about his hasty reply. He sighed.
”I’m better,” he told her in a firm tone, trying to sound convincing. ”Now, how about we go get Riku and Roxas and make them stop being idiots?”

Meanwhile, Jack had been with Blink, Mildred, and Sally. Kairi’s Cure spell had reached them, so he didn’t have to be worried about them being hurt. The magic had healed him too, and though he’d never really been that injured, he felt 100% better. He turned to the petite girl and grinned.
”Thank you!” he called, giving her a wave. Then he turned back to the others. ”Well, now that that’s all been taken care of, why don’t we go back to town. Midnight is quickly approaching, and we have to have fun while it lasts.” He was completely unaware of the situation with the rest of Sora’s friends. So he took Sally’s hand and led her back to the square. He expected that Blink and Mildred were following, whether they really were or not he didn’t know. He took Sally to the fountain and sat down on it, pulling her along with him. ”Is there anything you’d like to do, Sally?” he asked her gently. It was Halloween, the best night of the year. So he wanted to do something special with the rag doll he loved.

((Well, that was a rather romantic post all around. And wolfgirl, if you want to do something, you could have Skyler come over. In your last post, you said she was kind of hidden, so I didn't have anyone notice her.))

When Kairi healed the others, Jack turned to her and waved calling out his thanks. "You're welcome!" the crimsonette waved back.

The red head grinned when Sora gently grabbed her wrist and slipped his hand into hers. The brunette thanked her and told her he was all better. "I'm glad. And you're welcome," the Princess replied happily. The Keyblade Master then said they should go get Riku and Roxas and make them stop being idiots. Kairi gave a small laugh then nodded, "Yeah. We need them to settle things peacefully and make sure that Naminé is okay."

Sora smiled as Kairi agreed with him to go stop Riku and Roxas. But he was worried. Naminé was probably in a lot of emotional stress right now, and he didn’t want Kairi to be affected by that. And if she was in the middle of everything with Naminé, things could be really depressing for her. But he still wanted to take her with him. He just liked being around her. So he was a little conflicted on what to do. He figured that even if he told the crimsonette to stay behind, she’d come, so he decided that she might as well just come. Plus, she could probably comfort Naminé if she needed to. He wasn’t sure that he wanted to tell her what he was really aiming to do, though. He knew that as long as Riku and Naminé were a couple, himself and Kairi wouldn’t be as close as they could be. He wanted that, so he wanted Roxas and Naminé together. He didn’t like hurting his best friend, but he’d make it up to him somehow.
”Come on,” he told Kairi, taking her hand again and lowering it to his side as he led her away.

Sora walked in silence for a bit, still arguing with himself whether or not he should tell Kairi what he was going to do. If he told her, there was a chance that she’d be mad at him and think that he was selfish or something. It was kind of selfish, but he just didn’t think that Naminé and Riku were really right for each other. After all, it was Roxas and Naminé that had always been together, that had promised to be together as long as Sora and Kairi were. So there had to be someone else meant for Riku. Sora went through all of the people he knew in his head that were single. There was Ari, but there was no way in Hades he was going to let Riku date her. There was Hikari, but she was of course Riku’s sister. Then that one chick that was with Blink, but he figured they’d probably end up together. Xion… Riku didn’t act very friendly towards Xion. Maybe not her. He shrugged.
”Hey Kairi?” he asked as they started nearing the graveyard. ”Uh, I have a question to ask you. What… uh, well… what do you think about Riku and Naminé?” Oh man, what was he doing? Well, he had to know. Yes, he wanted to be with Kairi and he wanted to be with her as much as possible, meaning his other half too. But if it would upset her to split Riku up from his partner, then he wouldn’t do it. He just had to know first.

And I'll scare you right out of your PANTS!
