"You mean to say, that you have no idea where they are Brenda?"
Gar held his hand up to his temple closing his eyes for a moment. Anxiety kicking in then thinking for a moment.
"Okay, Kai normally tells others if she goes out crime fighting... Considering she is a Batkid you should probably care a bit more Brenda."
He then pulled out his communicator to call Kai. "She better pick up, if Kai has lost her comm again... it will be the billionth time-"

"Maybe, but I don't actually know her; the only 'Batkid' where I came from was Ri-- d**k. Can't get emotionally attached to someone you don't know." Brenda said. "I'm sorry, if... If I sound callous. I've just got several things on my plate at once, and I don't have my husband assist me in managing this sort of thing."
A pause, and then: "I'm just... Still a little overwhelmed. I only arrived in this Merged Multiverse two hours ago, my husband's gone, there's all sorts of people I haven't met... Guh. I suppose this is what I get for retiring early."

Kesshou looked at the others. "I'm ready. I know how to get in there too." She patted Gar on the back softly, trying to relax him a bit. Being stressed out right now wasn't going to help anyone.

Gar waited for an answer while standing next to Oracle. Just as he was about to turn to her and tell her how horrible Kai was with her communicators she answers, her voice coming through.
"Hello Gar. Anything up on your end?"
"um..."
Gar put her on a kind of speaker phone with the group so that he could work hands free.
"You haven't called. And we are getting ready to attack IO. If you are not at the Batcave where are you?"
His voice became a little more serious as he answered Kai's question.
"Are you sitting?"
"Should I be? Just tell me where you are."
"I am gambling in Las Vegas."
((Going to give others the chance to reply back to RC if they want, otherwise I can Continue ^^))

Kesshou thought long an hard and then it dinged in her head. "Oh yah! Right... heh..." She scratched the back of her head. "As I was going through I found her, and two men restrained in the Director's office being interrogated..."
She looked down at the com. "Glad to see that my little diversion helped you escape."

"Arell, Dundee and I were out for a scenic drive when the universe so kindly folded on us and we found ourselves driving in the Nevada desert. IO captured us, and we escaped."
"YOU were at IO?! Kai. And you when were you going to call?"
Gar was able to patch his communicators video onto a small portion of the screen so that she could see everyone and so that they could see her. They would notice that she was laying down on a bed facing up the camera on her. While wearing a nice suit vest and shirt.
"I was calling Robin when I answered your call. As you all can see I'm in a hotel, resting after having a small vacation in the desert, and having tea and cookies while discussing how much I hated IO with director Ivana."
Gar rubbed his temple and now that he was hands free he looked to Oracle and the others.
"Thanks for being a distraction Kessh- And could you call Robin and get him on this same line Oracle."
He said sincerely to the both of them. Gar then turned his attention to Kai and then stared at her for a moment.
"Can you be serious here? For a moment?"
"Well, you know how I get. I was kinda hoping we would skip seriousness because I don't want to think of something that happened, and I wanted to talk to Robin first... beca-"

"Guys!"
A third voice chirped in. The line had already been linked three ways...
"Calm, all right? RC, are you okay?"
Robin sounded stern, similar to Beast Boy, but not ... 'upset' per say.

Kai was inturrupted by hearing Tim's voice, then she paused and started calming down a little bit.
"I'm not alright, but thanks for the concern guys. I think I will be A.F.A. for awhile because of this small injury here."
She held up her injured wrist to the communicator, displaying her gray skin on her wrist, and bruised looking cut.
"A crystal has cut me, and not even my powers can heal this..."

Oracle adjusted her glasses, while looking closer at the black wound of Kai's, "What did they do to you Kai? And... What can you tell us about what you saw about I.O.?"
Songbird walked into view to listen to the answer to find out more about I.O.

"My family did this to me. Not IO..."
She looked the other way and took her wrist down from her communicator. Kai then looked back to the group she saw on her communicator.
"I think, Batman was the only one to know, that my family was nothing but corrupt scientists. Anyway, they were the ones who did damage to us, IO just tried to interrogate us. As far as I know, I saw lots of deep underground buildings hiding under a small fort like area. They have a lot of weapons, a small army of black ops, soldiers, fighters, assassins, and a few meta-humans on their side."
"So Jack and Rose Summers were your parents. Kai, you should have told us this before hand. They present a danger to you, that no one else can. Because they raised you."
"No, Kane Rocknell raised me. And we don't have to worry about him anymore..."

"You said you were in a hotel. You guys are safe there? When's the soonest we can bring you home?"
Concern continued to bubble in his tone as he added some questions of his own; from the sound of things, she and the two gunslingers were way out of reach for his comfort. What else had transpired since the group split.

From the background, behind Robin, Batman's voice sounded. "Robin. The Watchtower can teleport someone here from anywhere in the world as long as you can lock onto them." He then got quiet again.

"Well, Arell and Dundee payed a lot on their rooms here at the MGM grand hotel here on the Las Vegas strip. We need to rest, away from trouble, so I say you teleport us in the morning somewhere. That and how suspicious would it be for guests to just disappear after paying for a night, even in /this/ universe. "
Gar stayed quiet at this point, not saying anything due to the fact hat he was a bit upset at how Kai was acting. She wasn't completely serious about anything and was almost making light of her situation. "Did something horrible happen?" He wondered looking to the screens.
"That sounds okay... but you /need/ to keep in contact. And Kai, would you mind explaining to me, why, you didn't want to call us first?"
"Well, contrary to what some people think, my first real home was the Batcave, and my first real family was Robin, Nightwing, Batman and Alfred. I didn't meet you till later after Robin took me to San Francisco. So when I need someone to talk to about feelings, and issues I am having I am calling Robin."
"Kai, I'm not trying to be a problem with you. Why does everything you say directed to me feels like you are frustrated with me?"
He stared at her critically trying to judge what exactly she was getting at. Everyone who's talked to her has had less trouble in this conversation than he has. And he seemed to be the only one from their universe who knew her at least at some point. Although this Kai seemed to be maybe a year older.
"Because, I lost someone. And you don't seem to be worried about me, more that you are worried about how you feel- And I wanted to talk with one person, because I tried talking to Dundee and Arell at once a few minutes ago and ended up yelling at them."

Kesshou looked between Kai on the screen and Gar. Her ears fell down slightly as she whimpered a bit. She inched slightly closer to Gar. She was trying hard to calm him down and comfort him but it was failing.
She patted his back softly again, watching him and Kai.

(Just To Remind Myself I Can't Die)
The sharpness of the conversation cut Virgil from his daze. Still trying to make sense of things, he was lost. Static was glad he had helped Kesshou. However, he had been there no longer than a half hour and he was about be thrust into a superhero team-up mission. He was wondering if these I.O.s were going to be a major issue in the new life he had to create in this mergedverse.
"We don't need to be arguing with each other, innocent lives are at stake. The I.O.s could be euthanizing the survivors right now, we need a plan and we need to take action!"
Virgil stood firmly, his mind racing. He spoke before he had thought. His gulped as he waited for the responses of the room and teleconference.
