Feeling her looking at him, he looked over, a quizical look on his face. "Nani?" he mouthed, not wanting the two of them to get caught, "What? Is something wrong?" He hoped something hadn't happened to her while he hadn't been looking.

EEF looked up. " 10 minutes. There are others around here. COME OUT COME OUT!" he yelled laughing insanely. This was not Mergex's voice but a another more insane voice. He opened his hands and suddenly a bunch of blackfire balls erupting smashing into everything. Knocking down trees and destorying the ground. They weren't like Mergex's though. They where darker in color and faster.

Stealthly, he moved over to Kaori, as a blackfire burned up the tree he'd been behind moments before. He took out a red, transparent cloth that was as light as a feather, and put it over Kaori. "Keep that on; he shouldn't be able to harm you as much if you leave it," he whispered to her, prepared for the worst.

(From Hospital)
Lily rushed through the hospital in hopes of escaping Liz before she too left Darius' side and would come out and give her a good talking-too. She was out of the hospital in minutes and kept running, through the courtyard, past the church and into the forest. She was well into the forest before she stopped running, tears running down her face as she looked around. She was in a part of the forest she hadn't recalled being in before. Still, that didn't stop her from pulling out her little black drawing book and scrambling up the nearest tree to sit and draw.
Once postioned in a branch she wiped the tears from her eyes and began to draw whatever came to mind, which just happened to be the image they'd seen earlier today....namely the scene on the roof where she first met Naht, though she drew it as if she were looking at it in another's eyes, for she found herself drawing her, looking confused and worried as Derek held her hand, gripping it for dear life, and Darius, just staring up at the sky...then there was Naht, humming a tune on his harmonica, his eyes connecting with Lily's worried ones.

Kaori jumped as the man spoke. It wasn't the voice she had expected. It was different, scarier than the previous one... She crouched down as the fire exploded, looking around fearfully for Sai, only to find him already moving towards her. She blinked as the cloth was placed around her and pulled at it curiously as she listened to him speak. Then she turned towards him slowly. "But.. what about you?" she asked quietly, eyes wide.

He smiled at her. "I'll be fine, don't worry about it," he paused, "I'm a ghost... I can't die again if I'm not there to kill when I'm supposed to be hit, right?" he chuckled softly. "Don't worry about me, just make sure you stay safe if anything happens." He sounded calm, being that he was; he was used to people like this, seeing as he'd been alive for a while

Kaori chewed her lip nervously, but couldn't find any good arguement to make. Slowly, she nodded, tugging softly at the cloth again. "What is this?" she asked softly, every now and then glancing warily towards Mergex. She knew she was on edge, but Sai seemed so calm... She frowned slightly as she placed one hand back on the hilt of her sword.

"It was a cloth givin to me back when I'd first became a spirit," he whispered to her, remembering the event perfectly. "Our village was under attack constantly, and I was about to leave the said place and into an even more dangerous area. Each mile I'd go it'd get even more deadly. So one of the elders gave it to me, thinking I was still alive, and said it'd protect me..." he trailed off, glancing quickly at Mergex. "Other than that, I know nothing of it, except that it works; Meghan used it herself in earlier stages of discovery."

Naht's walk about the school had taken him out of the Arena, now that most of the fights were over, and taken him out of the general buildings. His wanderings had been a cover for his thoughts at the moment. He was worried for Lily quite a bit, and he regretted deciding to not follow her to the Arena. However, he also understood that her battle and the aftermath was for her. Something she needed to do, to settle that in her mind and life for herself without his assistance or input. The best way he could have helped was giving her the space to concentrate on herself and not how Naht would view her. Now, however, he was worried beyond normality. He was searching for her as he went, not expecting to find her. She was probably in the hospital, with or without Darius he was unsure. Still, he wandered and wandered, until he came to the forest. Sighing softly, he shook his head and decided to enter. At least it would be quiet, and calm.
As soon as he entered it, he was struck with a sense of sorrow from somewhere. Naht wouldn't have noticed it had he not been somewhat lamentful himself, and he turned towards it. He began to casually walk towards the source, perhaps thinking if he helped someone with their problem his own would go bother him less. He mentally considered the possibility he was inventing this sorrow to appease himself, but dismissed it. A being such as him was not lead by his imagination easily. But he began to have doubts as he came closer to the source. He found himself standing behind a tree..And hearing muffled noises. He began to convince himself he had lost some venue of his sanity due to the whole ordeal, when he looked up at the sound of a muffled cry, and found himself looking up at Lily.
He smiled softly and stepped back a few paces, not noticable to Lily, and deftly jumped up, gripping the branch above tightly. He kicked forward, hooking his feet on the branch infront, then pulling himself up until he was sitting on a branch next to Lily and smiling softly, letting his legs dangle quietly. "Hello Miss Lily. I see you are at least well in body." he said softly, after a moment of staring at her. He leaned forward and uses his slightly leathery glove to brush her face free of tears with his finger, smiling softly and looking every bit as calm and strong as he normally did. Now that he knew where she was and how safe she was, he could relax now.

Kaori kept her eyes on Mergex as she listened to Sai speak, slowly taking in his words and processing them. She thought about asking what Meghan's earlier stages of discovery were, but dicided this was hardly the time. After a moment, she nodded and pulled it a bit more tightly around herself. "Does it just... relfect attacks?" she asked slowly.

"In a way... it's more like a barrier that makes it go around. It only works for some attacks though," he said warningly, "so be on guard just incase. We hadn't gone up against everything there is, so we only know a few that it can deflect." I hope it can deflect most of them... if it doesn't, then I don't want her to get hurt... he thought.

Kaori nodded, glancing at the cloth and then back at him. "Well, I can always try cancling out his fire with mine, like I did before. The attacks looked slightly different this time.. But hopefully I could still make it work. I might need to put more power behind mine though..." She frowned, recalling the headache she'd gotten after the last fight, but she pushed away the thought. She would do it if she needed. She turned back towards Sai. "You'll be ok though, right?" she murmured anxiously.

He smiled. "I'll be fine, Kaori-chan. No need to worry, I assure you," he said soothingly. "Just do me a favor," he said, looking serious, "don't use up to much energy," he said worridly. "If something happens, I may be able to help, but that's assuming I'm not unconscience or something... I have defensive spells discluding my weapons... but all the same," he trailed off.

Kaori turned her eyes towards the ground slowly, head bowed just a bit. "...Alright," she agreed reluctantly, though she knew in the back of her mind she'd probably end up doing it anyway. In the best case, Mergex would just leave and no fight at all would start. But, considering he'd already tried an attack once, she doubted that would ever happen. She clenched her fists in irritation. "I need to train," she muttered softly, but it was too late now. She should have started after the first fight with Dargex and she scolded herself mentally for not doing so.
[K, now I'm really gone to bed. ^^;;]

"Don't worry, you'll do fine. I'm sure," he said encouragingly. "Besides, we all need training either way," he teased, trying to lighten the mood. He eyed Mergex, hoping he'd just back off instead; he didn't think now was the best time for a fight.
