M.A. had trotted over to her Tora, a tad wary now that the adorable blue elephant had sprouted some menacing looking tusks and maybe two hundred extra pounds. "Uh... Hey girl, you alright there?" she said, not genuinely inquiring for the Donphan's health since it was really the umbrellas that suffered and not her. Did evolution change Pokemon, though? Would Tora still be the same reckless Tora she used to be? She'd never seen one actually happen, and this was her very first one... Heck, she didn't even know what this new transformation's name was.
There was a bit of silence (well, not incuding the babbling of the beach-goers, half indignant that their sunning umbrellas had been smashed and half awed at seeing a random evolution practically bursting at them) while the trainer and her Pokemon blinked at each other. "Tora?"
The Pokemon looked curiously at its elongated nose, down at its pointy tusks, then saw M.A. With a gleeful roar, she charged towards her trainer, not giving M.A. enough time to move out of the way. Consequently the girl pretty much went right over the tank, much like a person might flip over a car when hit, and thudded on the sand a few feet away. Meanwhile, Tora looked confused to her left and right, wondering where the heck her trainer went.
To the spectators' surprise and concern, M.A. began to laugh hard, gasping for breath as she sat herself back up a few moments later. Although she was rubbing her ribs a little woefully and there was a small slash on her leg, there was none other than relief on her face. "You dumbass, get over here! And not so hard this time," she called, waiting for the Armor Pokemon to come over before giving it a hug. "Congratulations! Though you really gotta learn that you're not really as soft as you were when you were a baby..." To which Tora snorted remorsefully as an apology for the slight bruising and cut.
Standing up now, M.A. remembered all the broken umbrellas, and thus began the process of apologizing for her reckless little -- well, not so little now -- wrecking ball. The trainers, however, didn't seem to mad now after the show. It wasn't every day they got to see an evolution, and people were smart enough not to buy expensive sun umbrellas, it seemed.
"Oh, Train! Uh, actually, I have no idea," M.A. laughed, pulling out her own Pokedex. The monotone voice sputtered out the following: "Donphan, the Armor Pokemon. It attacks by curling up, then rolling into its foe. It can blow apart a house in one hit." The brunette whistled. Good thing Tora hadn't been running full strength there, for she certainly wasn't built as strong as a building.
"Remember, Tora, people are not as strong as buildings," she lectured very seriously.
It was around now that Ulani popped back into the scene, clutching furiously onto M.A.'s face. "Woah woah woah, what's wrong?" the girl exclaimed, pulling away the Cotton bird with a bit of effort. Ulani pointed a wing witheringly at the floating Smeargle, still absolutely love-struck and dripping hearts everywhere.
This was just a bit overwhelming. "Ah, Train, wanna continue this little practice thing of ours later? I'm thinking I might wanna take a visit to the PokeCenter," she said, figuring it might be a good idea to get a band aid for herself and some healing for Tora's paralysis. She wasn't hurting and the cut was as shallow as Paris Hilton, but people had a nasty habit of staring at bleeding people.

Riza raised an eyebrow, definitely getting the gist that she wasn't getting the full truth from Kilik and Rena. It didn't bother her though, as she recalled her thoughts earlier on people and their secrets. Not only that, but she really didn't know either of these two from a hole in the ground so there was pretty much no reason for her to expect them to tell her anything. She nodded at the part about the badge though, badges were things that only good, experienced trainers won. Even though she really didn't care much for regular Pokemon battles, she couldn't help but want to have a few of those coveted trainer badges under her belt.
She nodded a bit at the prospect of lunch. Her stomach was rumbling and she did feel a little dizzy. Her being very tall and lean for her age didn't come without a price. Her figure was more from a high metabolism than her actually eating well or working out, and if she went more than a few hours without food, her body certainly let her know about it. However, as nice as lunch sounded, she really didn't want to leave without Keegan. "That sounds nice," she said, nodding slowly. "Do you think that maybe Keegan could come too? He's been really nice to me so far today, and I think treating him to lunch might be a good way to pay him back."
She didn't get a chance to say anything else though as first, there was the sound of claws skittering across the floor, then suddenly Riza felt something tackle her midsection. Looking down Riza was relieved to see that it was Sneasel, looking very refreshed and glad to see her. "Sneasel, I'm glad you're okay," she smiled, reaching down to tickle the small feather protruding from the side of her head. All she needed now was her clothes and she'd be good to go.

Train took a few cautious steps towards the newly evolved Tora and her trainer, only to end up, jumping back when the Pokemon dashed forward and sent M.A. flying over it's huge, grey body. She paused, unsure of what to do as the other girl started laughing, despite the bruises and cuts she'd recieved. Her uncertainty faded soon enough, though, as M.A. and her Pokemon seemed to be on the same page, and M.A. was rather quick to getting around to apologizing to all the beach goers who's umbrellas had been damaged, but all seemed well there, too.
Train blinked when M.A. finally responded to her question, and walked over as the other trainer pulled out her own Pokedex and listened to what it had to say about Tora's new form. "Donphan," Train repeated, looking over the large Pokemon. "Looks and sounds like it's a pretty strong one." She said approvingly, reaching over to Tora and lightly brushing the Pokemon's side, while Pikachu began to sniff at the Pokemon, seeming to know what had happened as well. The skin felt pretty sturdy, and rough. It seemed strange that only a few moments ago this powerful looking Pokemon had been such a little, basically harmless looking thing. It was pretty awesome. "Oh, sure, Train replied to M.A. "Pikachu could use a rest, too," She added, picking up the little electric mouse and patting him on the head.

After a few minutes Keegan checked on Riza's things, very glad to feel that they were indeed dry, save for a few small damp spots on the skirt. He figured she could live with it and he carefully picked them up and draped them over his arm before heading back inside the Pokemon Center. It wasn't hard to spot the tall, raven-haired girl among all the people inside, mainly because of the white robe she still wore. A very uncharacteristic smile was spread on his face as he approached, a little surprised to see a familiar face - Kilik, was it? - and another relatively tall girl with red hair standing near Riza.
"Your belongings, Milady," he said, nodding hello to Kilik and Rena before giving a mock bow and holding Riza's clothes out for her to take. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Riza's Sneasel clinging to her and he smiled, glad to see that the Pokemon was feeling better. Nothing was worse than waiting, especially if you didn't know what your Pokemon's status and chances were.

Shelgon's Headbutt had done a decent amount of damage to Tropius, but it had come at the cost of Shelgon getting a little too close. With a roar, Tropius raised its large foot up high and brought it crashing down onto the much smaller dragon's back, driving her into the sand with incredible force. The hit was so intense it caused Shelgon to flinch, and it took her a very long time to recover from it. Jaeshan frowned at this - he knew that if Shelgon were to fall, the battle would rest solely on Metang, and he wasn't sure if the newly evolved Pokemon could handle it.
The Loudred, meanwhile, was having second thoughts about battling against Metang, as the long, thin scratches down its belly were stinging painfully. It belted out a roar, beating savagely on its chest before it rushed forward again, aiming to hit Metang with a Brick Break on Janice's orders. Instead of countering this time, Metang simply raised up his hand, a bluish glow enveloping the appendage. With a flick of this hand, the aura covered the Loudred's body, and with a cry, it was hurled backwards by use of Metang's newly learned Confusion.
=-=-=-=-= She was really starting to wish she'd worn sandals instead of her high-rise leather boots, as they sunk easily in the sand. After a bit of trudging she'd pulled them off and tied the laces together so they were hanging off of her bag in a practical manner. She'd been wandering down the beach now for more than twenty minutes, with absolutely no sign of the man she was looking for. She'd sidestepped battles, games of beach volleyball and Frisbee, and even witnessed a Phanpy evolve into a Donphan, but still nothing.
Finally, when she'd just about lost hope, she caught sight of a man lounging on one of those beach chairs. She probably wouldn't have recognized him if it weren't for that hat of his. She smirked and began to head towards him, feeling her pulse pick up a little as she neared him. She quietly set her bag down in the sand nearby and calmly sat down on the chair next to him, being sure to kick up a good amount of sand up over his lap. "Hello Ampersand," she said casually, practically nudging him out of the way so she could lie beside him on the chair. "How's things?"

George made his way back to shore and collapsed from exhaustion at the feet of his trainer. Sere looked down at the little blue pokemon and smiled. "Make any new friends?" She asked and got what she was sure was a nod back from the pokemon.
Radish jumped from Sere's lap and on to the mudkip, landing squarely on the pokemon's stomach. The oddish had spent enough time sitting still and watching as the other pokemon was out in the water enjoying himself, now she wanted to play. She got down off George's stomach, dug herslef into the sand then sent a wave of energy his way, not enough to hurt him, but enough to let him know, she wanted attention too.
George was startled by the oddish's sudden playfulness. He wasn't really in the mood. He had hoped Serenity would have understood that he had wanted to rest and put him in his pokeball. When Radish finally got off his stomach he was releved, but then he felt the familiar tingle of her absorb attack. 'Alright, so that's how it's going to be eh?' George thought. He got himself back on his feet and started to charge in Raddish's direction.
Serenity was startled by her pokemon's behavior, but impressed at the same time. It was a good chance to see what the two of them had in them. She wondered though, as George got up to tackle the Oddish if he realized that he was considerably out matched by type. Sure he had to be a bit stronger than the small plant, but it was a plant after all. She hoped her two pokemon had enough sense to play safe.

As Robin walked through the streets trying to find her way back to the party somewhat depressed thoughts going through her mind. Luffy for once wasn't causing trouble and just walking by her side looking up at her a few times to make sure she was ok. He didn't really understand why she was so upset but he knew that she was. Suddenly his large ears picked up a sound that was somewhat familiar. It was that human from earlier today and last night! Maybe he could make his trainer happy again, since he couldn't really figure out what was wrong. Moving a bit faster using his tail as a guide Luffy lead a not very protesting Robin through the streets until they were at that tent place from last night. It didn't take him to long to figure out where the guy was because he was in a battle! Letting out a stream of happy chatter Luffy started heading over there Robin in tow.
Not protesting as Luffy dragged her along Robin watched the streets pass her by. When they were at the Bazaar from last night she grew somewhat worried she didn't have the money to pay for anything here. Hoping that Luffy wouldn't grab any other expensive TM's she followed him until she saw where he was headed. She couldn't help the small smile that appeared on her face. Luffy must not have known what to do and so he was taking her to someone who might get it, Robin wouldn't tell Jaeshan what had happened. Still it was the fact that Luffy thought to do this that warmed her heart, she always forgot there was a reason why he was her best friend. So standing back she scooped him up and watched the battle with him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heading back out Aidan went back over to where pokemon breeder John was standing and nodded at him. "I stopped the Bidoof from chopping down your trees sir." He couldn't help but feel a bit proud of himself for this, admittedly small, accomplishment.
Letting out a happy laugh John patted a large hand on Aidan's shoulder and beamed at him. "Great job my boy! I told you that you could do it. Now get out of here, I am sure you have better things to do then help me out." Nodding at him one last time John headed back to the main part of his ranch.
Seeing that he was dismissed Aidan stood there for another second before heading to the pokemon center again. As he walked through the streets Aidan watched the small town bustle with excitement, they were all getting ready for all the new people who would be coming to the area. Aidan supposed he was excited as well, he didn't really know all to much about the other regions, never having gone to school to learn about them just knowing what he had picked up. Walking through the pokemon center doors he gave a small nod to Nurse Joy as he stepped around the counter top pulling Skorupi and Gible's pokeball out. Setting them on the tray and putting them under the healing machine he turned around and leaned against the counter.
"You have been gone for an hour and you are already dirty. What did you get into this time?" The kind nurse asked him curiously.
Crystal blue eyes glanced over at her for a second before he let out a loud sigh and ran a hand through his messy hair. "John was having a few troubles with some Bidoof." He didn't mention that they had decided to go after him instead. Rubbing the bridge of his nose his fingers trailing over the long scar that crossed it he waited for his pokemon to finish healing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ampersand had been having a great nap the shade from the umbrella having moved and he was happily absorbing the heat the sun offered. Surprisingly enough he hadn't been interrupted by any more people, probably because they were all busy battling or something. He was enjoying the party even if it was a bit loud and he wasn't really doing anything. That was until he felt a shadow interrupt the suns rays over his body. Frowning slightly at that he was about to ask the person to move their a** when he felt sand land on him. Letting out a small groan he was about to push his hat off of his face when he heard a familiar if not heard very often anymore voice. Grinning slightly he pushed his hat off of his face and onto the top of his head and sat up to look up at his friend. "Well, well, it certainly has been a while since I have seen you."
She looked a lot different from the last time he had seen her. No longer was she the teenager who was fighting her way through the region, nor was she the little girl who had been the first person to actually try to be his friend. Now she was a very beautiful and confident woman, did he mention that she was beautiful? Because she certainly was, it had been a while since he had seen some one who compared to her. Remembering her question, even if it was pretty general he smiled warmly at her as he answered. "I am doing pretty good if a little stressed out lately. I am sure you don't want to hear about my boring life though, tell me what you have been up to lately. You certainly grew up since the last time I saw you."

Crenu eyed the potion for a moment, not wanting to take it at first. He decided that it was alright though, he felt alright dropping his guard in front of Kasiya for some reason. He got the feeling that she wouldn't judge him, a feeling that gave him a bit of relief. Maybe it was because he acknowledge her as the stronger trainer, or maybe it was because he had seen how caring she was with her own pokemon. Whatever it was, it didn't really matter. Crenu took the potion and beckoned Larvitar to come over, but Larvitar did not listen. "Larvitar, come here now, let me heal you." Larvitar shook his head and continued to stand strong. "Heh, I know I know, but it's better than a ton of hurt right? It's my fault for underestimating that Makuhita." Larvitar shook his head again and spoke in his language that humans could only guess at. But Crenu understood very well. "You're right, not sure what came over me. Guess I'm going soft." Crenu put the potion back on the counter and pushed it closer to Kasiya. Crenu had to thank Larvitar, at least one of them was able to keep his priorities straight.
The old man came back with many plates of food, putting them in line on the counter for the pokemon to sample and eat. He had gotten a look at the baby Charmander and brought a bottle of the baby pokemon milk that his daughter's Tauros drank. "here ya go kids and kid's pokemon. enjoy."
"Thanks old man." Crenu's pokemon stayed in place when the food arrived instead of rushing to it. They all looked up at Crenu as if to ask permission with the exception of Hitmonlee who remained with his back turned to the group and kept practicing. Crenu admired Hitmonlees resolve and discipline, though he did sense a bit of defiance in his actions at the moment. Ignoring it, he nodded to his other pokemon and they jumped up onto the seats to begin picking at the food. Crenu looked at Kasiya's Charmander and at the milk. He was sure she was full of experience already, but he felt the need to ask since the Charmander looked so young. "Have you fed her before?"

Kilik blinked at her request. Now that he thought about it, he never had gotten to know Keegan. He looked over at Rena, who shrugged, and then back at her. "Sure. I don't see why not." With that, Nurse Joy had approached him with Lairon's Great Ball. He nodded and took it, thanking her.
"You must be Keegan," she said when the boy arrived, extending a hand to introduce herself. "I'm Rena, one of Kilik's close friends. The three of us were just discussing going to lunch. You're welcome to come along if you'd like."
Kilik tossed Lairon's ball up and down, catching it on it's return trip with a little bit of flair. "Yeah. It could let us all get a little more acquainted with each other. It should be fun." With a final catch of his ball, Kilik tucked it away into his side bag. He started walking towards the door with his arms crossed.

"Are you lost?" Whitney asked as she neared the person under the tree, who looked up to the Gym Leader as she grew closer. "Yes," she responded.
This girl seemed to be a little bit older than Whitney. She was pretty, had soft and caring blue eyes and long, red hair that was in a braided ponytail, draped over her left shoulder. She was dressed in a long-sleeved purple shirt that cut off just above her navel, and bellbottom pants of a matching color. A black belt with one Pokeball attached to it was wrapped around her waist, and a pair of tall black boots ran up to her knees.
"I think I've done and gotten myself turned 'round somehow." She had a slight twang in her voice, which surprised Whitney a little. "Y'see, I'm not from 'round here. I live over in the Johto region. I'm over here visitin' 'cause I've got relatives livin' here-- an aunt and uncle o'mine. They said they's gonna meet me in... whar was it. Mauville, I b'lieve." Whitney smiled a bit. "I'm from Johto too," she replied. "I'm here because... well, I'm trying to help my sister find a Pokemon that got stolen from her... err. I'm sorry, you need directions." She flushed a bit, kind of embarrassed. "This is my first time here too, but... let's see. We're on Route 110 right now," she said, finding their location on the map. "There's Cycling Road nearby, but you'd need a bike to go on that... oh. There's a little path underneath it that you can walk on, and Mauville's just a little farther north after that."
The girl smiled. "Thank you kindly," she replied. "And... I know this's kinda forward and sudden, but w'dyou come with me? Th'only Pokemon I've got with me, well, she's not doin' so hot right now. I'd really 'preciate it." With a nod, Whitney agreed. "Of course I'll come with you." The girls stood and Whitney introduced herself. "I'm Whitney, by the way." "Whitney?" the girl repeated. "Well, s'nice to meetcha. M'name's Vanessa." After a moment or two of small talk, the girls headed along Route 110, bound for Mauville.

Kasiya continued applying the rest of the Potion to Rosemary's body, watching Crenu and his Larvitar out of the corner of her eye. While she did understand the Pokemon's need to stand strong even through his injuries, a part of her couldn't help but feel that there was a thin line between pride and stupidity, and it was irresponsible of Crenu to let his Pokemon suffer like that, even if Larvitar wanted it that way. She chose not to be judgmental, however, and instead tended to her own Pokemon, waiting patiently for their food to arrive. Heh, I bet he thinks I'm "soft", she thought, smiling to herself. Truth be told, she was soft. But only when she needed to be.
It was amusing to see little Nova running around and playing with the other Pokemon. Shocker was using her tail to amuse the baby, looking over her shoulder as the young Charmander chased after it. When the food was brought out, the five older Pokemon each helped themselves in a mannerly fashion.. Nova looked on with curiosity, that is, until Kasiya scooped her up in her arms and sat down. "Thank you so much," she said to the man, hoping she wasn't drooling all over the place. "Everything smells so delicious." She picked up the bottle of milk and studied it, shaking her head. "She's barely an hour old," she said, shaking her head. "So this would be her first meal." It was difficult to position the feisty baby Charmander but she finally managed it, but now came the task of coaxing Nova to actually take to the bottle. She sniffed and pawed at it, and after a few moments she finally latched on. Kasiya sighed with relief, but it was only momentary as Nova proceeded to swat it away, a very not-pleased look on her face. "Okay, I guess you're not a fan of milk..." Kasiya mumbled, setting the unwanted bottle back on the table. With a bit of a growl the baby squirmed down from her lap and looked around before choosing to climb up on the chair occupied by Shocker. With some reluctance the mouse helped her young teammate up, and both she and Kasiya watched with amusement as the baby selected sizable chunks of meat and began to eat happily.
=-=-=-=-= "I'm sure you already know all about what I've been doing," she replied quickly, leaning back and obviously not caring that she'd intruded in on Ampersand's space. "And besides, everybody's gotta grow up sometime." It was hard for her not to look at him without staring, as she wasn't the only one who'd changed a lot since their last meeting. Ampersand wasn't that scrawny, shrimpy little kid with the southern drawl - okay that last part was still kind of there, but he definitely wasn't scrawny anymore.
Now she didn't know all the details of what it was he was involved in these days, but whatever it was it had definitely helped him to become the man - and what a man at that - he was today. She smiled wistfully at those days gone by, back when they had been kids and hadn't known where their lives would take them. All she knew was that Ampersand (and yeah, she'd made fun of his name on more than one occasion) was the first real friend she'd ever made, and a small part of her couldn't help but hope that some of that old time friendship still lingered within him somewhere.

Crenu chuckled a little, it was amusing to watch after all. "You didn't think she'd prefer the milk over meat did you? She's not a Tauros after all." He watched as the young Charmander took it upon herself to eat from a plate of solid food with the Raichu. "Though I have to admit, an hour old and already full of that kind of vitality. Looks like you're gonna have your hands full...maybe you should make the meat a little smaller, just in case." Babies never did know self restraint. Or at least that's how it was with Larvitar. Crenu grinned a little as he remembered Larvitar's baby days, he must have choked on every other meal back then. Then again, Crenu was younger and not exactly as responsible as he was now. "You don't make that mistake anymore do you?" He said to Larvitar who was sitting next to him and slowly taking small bites from his plate. Larvitar looked up at him and nodded before continuing with his meal. He didn't like it very much, he preferred apples and rich soil, but there wasn't any of that around. "Tell me Kasiya, why did you come to the beach party? Do you have a specific agenda other than fun in the sun?" His curiosity got the better of him. Crenu always had a thing for gathering knowledge, important or not.

The Loudred crashed to the ground with a thud, skidding back a ways before it recovered and jumped back up to its feet. Jaeshan let out a low whistle of approval - it seemed that Metang had grown to be quite strong with his evolution. The Loudred was not to be underestimated though, as on its trainer's command it dashed forward and clamped down on one of Metang's arms with its powerful jaws. Being a Dark-type attack it still did relative damage thanks to Metang's Psychic-type half, but the Steel-type half also helped to block it. Metang let out a sharp, screeching growl and tried to shake off his attacker. "Fight back with a Brick Break!" Jaeshan shouted, oblivious to the new fans he'd acquired all of a sudden. Metang raised his free hand high and brought it down, glowing with power, onto the top of the Loudred's head for a solid hit.
Shelgon was still recovering meanwhile, struggling to stand even as the Tropius rose into the air with a flap of its great, leafy wings. The dragon looked up, narrowing her eyes at the shadow hovering above her. With a cry, Tropius began to plummet from the sky towards her. Shelgon let out a loud roar, focusing her power to create a glimmering green shield around her entire body. With a deafening crash, the Tropius slammed into the barrier, bouncing off as though it had hit a rubber ball. Grinning, Shelgon rose to her feet, very much eager for more.
=-=-=-=-= "Hey who asked you?" Kasiya chuckled, watching the baby as she ate. She too had been concerned about the pieces of meat Nova had picked out for herself, but the Charmander's sharp little teeth were doing a very good job of shredding and tearing, and she soon realized she didn't really have much to worry about. She couldn't help but notice how Shocker was reacting to the newest member of their team, though. It was easy to tell by the annoyed look on Shocker's face that she didn't care much for Nova hanging around her like that, but the Raichu knew that the Charmander was young, and she was one of the first faces Nova saw after she hatched.
Kasiya looked over at Crenu and his Larvitar and smiled. It seemed the two had been together for quite some time. She pulled her bowl of Ramen close to her and began to eat carefully, even managing to use a pair of chopsticks properly. It was probably the one non-Pokemon related thing that her father had ever taught her, and that was how to eat with chopsticks. She shrugged at Crenu's question, gently tapping one chopstick on the side of the bowl while she thought. "I wasn't really going to come to this party initially," she said thoughtfully. "But I hadn't seen a lot of my friends in a while and I knew they would be here, so I decided to come anyway. Plus there's always the prospect of battling against new trainers and Pokemon, and I haven't really been to the beach like this in a long time." She paused, having a few good bites before looking at the blonde boy again. "What about you? You don't exactly look like the 'fun-in-the-sun' type. What brings you to Slateport?"

He thought he saw something weird about Mitsu's hands when she was verbally fumbling around, but figured it was just a trick of the light. His state of mind probably had him seeing things too. "That's fine by me." said Mike, who was more than willing to forget about it at least for a little while. With his headache and wandering mind, this was the last thing he wanted to worry about. It would probably come up later anyway. Boy what a day. He thought, still holding his head with his right hand. He had that awful feeling that you get right above your left eye when you have a severe migraine. It hurt like a son of a gun.
Mike steadied himself on Beacon, who was blissfully unaware of his trainer's discomfort. He let out a slight honk at the sudden pressure on his head, but that was about it. He wasn't the kind of Pokemon who would be insulted by such things.
"So what now?" he asked, not really in the mood to take charge. To be honest, he wasn't sure what they could do. Mitsu's confession made the atmosphere around them a bit stuffy. Maybe she'd think of something that would be fun and not awkward.
--- Sasha wore a wide and cheerful grin as she walked with her friend. The two had really hit it off in such a short time; it was like they were sisters or something! Walking arm and arm, the two looked like a real clashing pair. Sasha with her feminine charm and voluptuous figure standing next to more stout and rigid Kirsa was certainly a sight, but she could care less. She was quite pleased with the day's affairs and how they were turning out.
The two exchanged the usual shopping small talk, Sasha being the more verbally dominant one of course. Her train of thought derailed when she spied something of interest in one of the booths. She let out a high pitched shriek and ran over, dragging poor Kirsa along with her. There before her was undeniably the most adorable Pokemon stuffed animal she had ever seen. She wasn't sure what kind of Pokemon it actually was, but it kinda looked like a Marill. "WhakinnaPokeymanizzaaaaaat?" she squealed to the vendor, shaking her body in pure adoring ecstasy.
"That's an Azurill little miss," replied the pleasantly plump salesman, quite amused by the girl's antics. "I think they evolve into Marill, but don't take my word for it."
"It's the cutest thing I've ever seen." Sasha said in a frighteningly dry tone. "I must have it." She had already taken out her wallet and was searching for a price tag.
The man let out a loud and hearty laugh, his stomach shaking slightly. "I like your style little girl." A smile was visible through his beard. "So I'll let you in on a little deal. Buy one and get another one half off."
That sold it for Sasha. She could never resist a sale. "Deal!" She practically screamed as she forked over the money for the Azurill plush. When the transaction was completed, she claimed her prize. Her hands nearly trembled as she reached for that sky blue darling. You could almost see sparkles in her eyes. It was a synthetic masterpiece. The polyester felt heavenly, and its dark round eyes were to die for. She squeezed it tight to her face and cooed. Without taking her eyes off of her new purchase, the girl snapped her fingers and pointed to the toy rack, signaling Kirsa to pick out one of her choice. "My treat." said Sasha, lost in the Azurill's plastic eyes.

Crenu threw a couple of more dumpling into his mouth before answering, they seemed to get better and better each time. His pokemon seemed to enjoy themselves, and even Hitmonlee inched over for a quick mouthful before returning to his practice. This only rose Crenu's question as to how exactly did the Kicking Pokemon eat without a visible mouth, but he decided not to question it. "You've got me figured out then. I'm here for the battles, nothing more." Crenu took another serious look at his pokemon, they still had plenty of room for improvement, his battle with Mitsu showed him that. The whole reason he came to the beach party was to keep an eye on his two younger acquaintances, but really it was for the opportunity to battle other trainers. At least, it was the only reason. "But now I have another reason for being in Hoenn. the pokemon here are strange and worth looking into further. I must expand my knowledge of the pokemon around the world if I'm to become the strongest trainer out there, and I have much to learn still. Knowledge is power, and since I don't have a natural talent for battling, it's all I've got." Larvitar looked up at Crenu again, staring deeply at him in agreement. To Larvitar, nothing in the world was more important than his trainers happiness, and he was goign to help him obtain it at all costs. He wasn't the only one, Ariados and Poliwag felt the same. Poliwag had a fierce look in his eyes, still determined to show Crenu that he was as useful as Larvitar. He wanted nothign more than to have Crenu respect him like he did the other pokemon or else he might end up letting him go for a better water pokemon. It was Poliwag's fear of abandonment that drove him to fight hard for Crenu. Ariados was a different story. She had grown attached to Crenu from the moment he caught her and had developed a bit of a crush. She wanted Crenu to notice her and praise her as his number one go to pokemon. She wanted all his attention to belong to her, and he loved power. To win over Crenu's approval she was going to have to be the best Ariados she could be for her beloved Crenu. Hitmonlee was the exception. He had gone along with Crenu because Crenu promised to make him strong. He had helped him improve his technique, but he was starting to feel that Crenu was no longer useful to him. He stuck around because he had no choice, but as soon as Crenu outlived his usefulness to him Hitmonlee was gone. In a way, Hitmonlee and Crenu were exactly the same. "Besides, a little bit of sun never hurt anybody...I guess. I've never actually been to the beach, and fun isn't exactly my thing."
