"Not yet." Rina jumped from her seat into Fayt's and Launched the ship forward full speed. the ship shot through the checkpoint in a blur with the Ctarl ships and the pirate vessel in hot pursuit. Suddenly there was a bright flash and loud noise that came from one of the Battle Cruisers. in a fiery explosion the pirate ship was gone. "Crap laser fire" Suddenly from the front several more cruisers appeared. Rina hit the breaks bringing the ship to a complete stop "Damnit I was so close too"
A communication channel opened on the Alliance's main monitor and a official of the Ctarl Ctarl military appeared on screen "Lady Rina KaiRai. We are Representatives of the Ctarl Ctarl Empire. You are hear by under arrest on charges of Grand Theft, Murder, desertion of your post and Treason"
Rina gritted her teeth and said nothing.

Fayt stands up and wipes the blood from his nose and runs to the front of the ship. "What the hell are you doing? If we resist they'll kill us if we surrender there's at least a chance we'll all live." Hearing the broadcast from the other ship he winces. "Well I guess I should've seen that one coming really." After this he sat on the ground staring at the screen and Rina

"Rina's eyes moved around. from Shadow, to Fayt, to Amy and to Hikari. She clenched her fists tightly and returned her gaze to the screen.
"Surrender yourself Lady Rina and your friends Shall be Spared. any resistance will result in the immediate destruction of you and your ship"
"grrrrrrrrrrrr. dammit all"

Fayt looks at Rina. "It's best to do what they say and surrender.If you don't want to surrender I understand. The decision is up to you but if you do surrender know that I will do everything I can to get you free of these bastards." Saying this he walks back to his room and sits back. Knowing the choice Rina will make he begins planning things out in his head.

Shadow sent a small typed transmission to the screen that Rina was looking at. in those crates i brought aboard is half a ton of explosives. drop it. shoot it. the one that's first to drop is a flash bang. that'll cause a distraction so we can escape.

Hikari frowned worriedly. "I think surrendering for now would be best." she admitted. "But that's just me.." she looked down slightly.

Rina got to her feet and shook her head towards shadow. there was no choice in the matter. she when she was on her own she would not have wasted a second in attempting to escape. but she was not going to bring her companions down for her own selfishness.
"What is your response Lady Rina."
"I Lady Rina KaiRai. former officer of the CtarlCtarl military surrender myself" Rina left the Cockpit and took a space suit with her. "Send out two of your officers ill meet them in space." her tone was lacking in the spirit that she usually spoke with it was both grim and severe.
the man on the screen turned his attention to the rest of the crew "once the prisoner has been secured you will be free to go. i suggest you all forget ever encountering that woman."

Amy looked at Rina then looked away. "I will never forget her...." she said. She felt like saying more but was loss for words.

There is no point remembering a dead woman like her. upon her arrival at the CtarlCtarl home world, for her crimes against the empire Lady Rina KaiRai will face immediate Execution.

Rina Put on the space suit and returned to the cockpit one last time. her eyes moved around and silently said in her own mind a sorrowful goodbye. she walked over to her console and typed a message to the other ships. regroup later but for now do nothing. she new fairly well there were no ships in the race that could stand up to this many battle cruiser
Silently Rina left the cockpit and made her way towards the hatch to the outside.

By now the CtarlCtarl Message was surly making its way across the race circut and heading towards the judges. However the processing to stop the race would take a while longer...the only thing stopping the racers is the question of their own sanity.
