-Zephyrotica- Orphie Rule 7 - Don't use "it" in the beginning of a sentence. It puts the lotion on its skin Or else it gets the hose again. I don't even know what that means, but just because that sentence uses "it" at the beginning doesn't mean it's right!

s**t, I have to write 300 words for the Rookies. ******** class="clear"> MY PROFESSOR SAYS SHE WROTE IT! She is a liar though so I don't know if I can believe her. 1. Don't use passive voice unless you don't know who did the action, don't care, or don't want the reader to know. 2. Use action verbs instead of linking verbs, it encourages the use of inappropriate clauses. 3. Try to avoid nominalization, it often results in separation of actions from the actors. 4. Don't pad writing to look smart, be concise. 5. Don't jump tenses and points of view. Stick to a tense unless you have a good reason. 6. Agreement is important. Subject/verbs, Pronoun/antecedent, and usage. The sad thing is that she had to tell this to people daily until she just had to print it out. I cut it down so it wouldn't be a tl;dr situation.
