Oassu rolled his eyes at Hayate "Hey I can blend in perfectly well, besides from what I've heard it's a right den of thieves out here in the desert, this place will fit me like a glove" he said crossing his arms while watching Yani with amusement.
Mari blinked blankly at Alpha "A Cactuar? I'm not sure I know what that is really." she said blushing slightly and hanging her head "Forgive my lack of experience in the world, there's a lot of things I haven't seen from my small village," she mumbled quietly cuddling Sophia while Ivy gently patted Mari's face offering her reassurance. "Though you don't need to worry Sophia is a good well trained little Tonberry, I'm going to teach her to be an expert swordswoman one day" she said brightly.
Itaka shrugged "I guess but maps are worth less than pearls and the money upfront would be nice enough, there's more stooges than treasure hunters out there after all. Plus they might know a fake when they see one." he suggested "Though if you say so we'll try and not kill them if it can be avoided, they'd best leave us alone though for that to happen" he sighed disliking the idea.

Yani paused "Umm right sure she could be a swordsman I guess. I have seen stranger... thats a pretty accurate drawing of a cactuar except sometimes on very rare occasion they are much bigger" he quickly changed the subject seeing that Psy had quickly sketched up a new drawing for Mari to look at.
Alpha smirked "in case you forget what they look like later. Its the small green things that have a personal vendetta against Hayate for being mean to them as a kid" he joked.
Seph smiled "Well right now there are plenty treasure hunters about. Or at least I would like to classify our group as that with what we are doing here" she shrugged getting up "Well I think I have cooled down enough for now to start preparations for tonight. How about the rest of you guys?"
Hebal yawned "personally I like this shady spot just here" shee sung giving her ear a rub "I think cactuars are cute for the most part though the only time I saw one I hugged it too hard and it prickled me though on the upside I learned whatever move it used on me hehe"

Hayate rolled his eye at Hebal "why would you want to hug something covered in spikes? Thats just asking for pain and I highly doubt cactuars have a vendetta against me. It was nearly five centuries ago I grew up here and pulled the needles off cactuars when caught them. Only female ones could live that long and even then they would be a cactai by now. Anyway the heat doesnt bother me so I can do whatever whenever"
Felina nodded giving Oassu a squeeze "You'll have to make me blend in better then. If I am going to spend the rest of my life hanging around thieves I may as well look the part even if its not something I would ever consider doing" she whispered.

Mari took the new drawing and examined it "Oh it does look quite cute I suppose, like a little plant man" she said brightly. Sophia once again stabbed her bottle towards the picture earning her a tut from Mari "No Sophia, these ones aren't what we're looking for" she scolded the tonberry "Though agreed I don't think I'd hug something so spiky Hebal" she said turning her attention back to the drawing "Still I am fine with preparations being made now if you like" she said putting the drawing aside.
Oassu rolled his eyes "General rule of thumb is don't be unnecessarily cruel to animals. Though that's impressive to know Cactuars live that long but sure I'm ready for whatever plan we have." he said returning Felina's squeeze "Relax I wouldn't force you to live around thieves if anything it'll be me ending up hanging around royalty" he joked giving Felina a light peck on the cheek.
Itaka nodded "I'm fine to start, but what preparations do we need to make? We simply go in grab the pearl, dodge the Antlions once nightfalls. Though you might want to get some warmth while you can Hebal, once the sun goes down in the desert this place will seem right frosty" he warned her.

Hebal nodded her head in agreement "no Sophia, they may be small like you but they are really good at defending themselves in a pinch and extremely agile. You wouldn't be able to easily get an attack in. As for why I hugged it, the one I saw was all cute and friendly and I felt sorry for it as nobody ever played with it" she shrugged,
Psy gave Itaka a surprised look "well you will be travelling so will need to prepare for both the heat of the day/evening as well as the cold night. If you have a sandstorm you will need to make camp until it passes. Then there is food and water you should take in excess. Extra water makes good trading items if bump into unwanted company. Up tp you guys really but I would recommend considering all that stuff at least" he recommended
Seph scratched "Umm are you sure all of that is really necessary considering we aren't doing all that much? A shovel and ourselves usually would do the job for the task at hand"
"The desert is as unpredictable as anywhere in nature. It's better to overestimate the task at hand than to underestimate it and have the elements come bite you later Miss Seph" Yani pointed out swiftly moving towards the door " If I am taking you there though I want to make sure its as smooth as possible for myself"

Felina shook her head stealing another sip of Oassu's water "I dont think you will last that long hanging around the royals. Maybe a couple of years at most before making an escape" she teased. "I like the idea of actually planning for adventures sometime. Cant always charge into every situation as much as some of us would like to" she added glancing towards Seph and Itaka.
Hayate paused "well most of those things are good though personally I would just keep the water and beat off anyone that might appear to cause trouble. Though being a fire demon, is it really necessary to take water with you on your normal errands Psy?" he asked.

Oassu smiled just passing his water to Felina seeing her taking another sip. "Sure we'll be smart about it, if we're lucky we won't even have to fight one, still looks like we're guarding the ship tonight anyway so why don't we get on with moving the supplies and whatnot so you have time for working tonight." he said hoping to leave the crowded room soon.
Itaka rolled his eyes "Very well, I suppose many of us aren't used to this environment so we'd probably best take advice from those used to it" he said glancing at Hayate while shifting aside to allow Yani past. "Though I think the plan, Oassu, is to move the supplies by night" he added.
Mari nodded "I suppose I can see, still was it really so friendly if it pricked you like that?" she said bouncing Sophia on her lap "It would be nice to see one I'm sure though I wouldn't be much interested in fighting the little thing," she agreed

Psy shrugged "Yes and no. In my demon form not at all. In my other form form now and then, enough to keep it squishy and avoid suspicion. I think my dad wanted to move the stuff during the day. It would be muh more physcally demanding though would draw less unwanted attention. Your call really, whatever you are more comfortable with"
"Well I was going to say day time would be ideal but you guys can decide since the heat doesnt bother me at all. Im guessing you would rather night time Hebal" Alpha guessed
The viera nodded in reply Yes if the cooling spells dont work very well; Sadly Im not exactly the most useful person here right now so I hope Im not being too much of a pain" she quietly added while she played with her thumbs.

Felina paused unsure "well if we tried doing it in the day I guess if it didn't work out we could take a break then continue during the night if need be. Me and Zadina should ideally keep all of us somewhat cooler and help if we get tired. What do you think Oassu?"
Hayate laughed "oh you will see a cactuar at some point. They just tend to hide in the ground and pretend to be plants when people are around for the most part. Give me a small tap on the head or accidentally bump one they will usually just pop up and run away being as timid as they are" he informed Mari

Oassu thought about it for a moment "Well I don't suppose there's anyway to really ship things low profile in a small town like this," he sighed "Makes no difference to me, if you'd like we could take care of that while the others go out to get the stuff tonight. It'll be cool enough at night anyway Hebal," he said looking to Felina "And you and Zadina can easily shift the medicine with your magic. Means no one is sitting around doing nothing." he said loosening his scarf slightly for the heat. "You got a backdoor for deliveries or something?" he asked Psy "Also perhaps we should get moving a bit, I would quite like to see the town a bit first and it's utterly roasting with all of us in here," he complained.
Zadina tilted his head thinking about it "Well...if we are going to be moving things around tonight then perhaps it might be wise to get some rest for tonight as we are not used to nocturnal activity" he suggested casting a small cooling spell on himself and sighing with relief.
Jeckhart smiled slightly nudging Hebal seeing her being nervous "Oh don't worry Hebal, you are making me happier so you are absolutely helping" he whispered before nodding in agreement with Oassu "Yes indeed, it would be wise for you to show us where the medication is meant to go as we are unfamiliar with the town and it will be even harder in the dark of night."
Mari sighed "I hope they don't run away I'm sure I'd like to meet one but it's probably best not to disturb them," she said patting Hebal on the ear "Don't you feel bad my friend, you know you are very useful. We'll all be counting on you to look after Zadina...and Jeckhart," she added quietly.
Itaka grunted "Sure, yeah you guys plan that. It is getting sweltering in here, there's too many people and no breeze in this building so I'm going to go check on Chobi, probably not best to leave a golden chocobo unattended out here anyway," he said leaning in to give Seph a small kiss before stepping out the door.

Psy nodded swiftly moving out the way for Itaka to get through Yes of course. Sorry it is easy sometimes to forget sitting around makes it harder to not concentrate on the heat. I could show some of you around the town not that there is much to it at present. There is no back door as such but there are prefered trade routes you can travel down. Or if you would rather I could make youa map and you just explore for yourself" he added not wanting to force himself onto the group.
Seph shrugged "Show us around anyway. I bet Yani can take care of things here and its about time you showed me why this place is so much better than the fire demon city for you. Though before we go out best get Chobi something to drink at the very least."
Hebal paused smiling slightly from Jeckharts words and the plan for the night. "Well how about after we get a look around we join the rest of the town in sleeping during the really hot part of the day so at night we are up and ready to go. That said I am not sure if it will be easy as Im really not that tired.

Felina nodded her head at Zadina "A smart plan to lay low during the day when we can cousin. Though would you rather we asked Mr. Yani if he could show us around instead? You know in case you and your dad needed to catch up on a few things without all of us being there?" she offered to Psy while she helped Oassu with his scarf. "Depending on the weight of what we are moving magic may or not help much" she whispered to Oassu.
Hayate shrugged "while you guys wander the town I might have a look around and see if theres anything worth buying for later or some nice food. Theres not that much I miss about the desert but may as well embrace a little nostalgia" hee shrugged.

Oassu gave Felina a surprised look "What does the float bubble not just lift things easily? Hmm well I guess you'd understand magic better than me but we'll do what we can anyway," he said sighing slightly while Felina adjusted his scarf for him. "Still that's a good idea, we'll get out of your hair and let you two have some family time, did come all the way out here for it after all, shouldn't be all work right?" he said giving Felina a little kiss as thanks for adjusting the scarf. "Don't you agree Seph?" he asked
Mari tilted her head thinking about it "You could also stay as well if you like Seph, since you are also old friends with Psy. I'm sure there's plenty to talk about," she suggested idly petting Sophia "It'd be a good way to keep you out of the sun as well if your skin is going to be a problem," she added putting Sophia down who instantly began waddling over to Hebal for attention.
Zadina looked at Psy bemused "I'm surprised you have so much time for us Mr Psy, isn't there the duties of your business to attend to? We sure appreciate you taking the time to help us out like this but some of us are proficient in white magic, if it would help we could assist for a while to the best of our abilities." he suggested wanting to be helpful.

Seph shrugged "Uhh sure if Yani agrees to help them I could do with a little quieter catch up time between the few of us not that theres any pressure or anything. Zadina has a point though are you sure you have time to be hanging around with us the whole time? I doubt Alpha told you long enough in advance to rschedule things"
"I gave more than enough notice I think though whatever. Theres nothing I need in town and there are a few things I would like to mention in mostly private. Sorry guys more just a family thing. You know how it goes." Alpha replied with a smirk.
Psy paused "Well we could catch up sure. Gives me an excuse to open up the nicer drinks I dont have around here much. Though you need not worry about my supplies. I prepare as much as I can in advance in case something happens like I break a leg so cant work for a week or whatever. Though if you wish to be of help Zadina I could give you a few things to deliver for me while around town I guess"
Hebal smiled picking up Sophia and cuddling her oncee the tonberry had reached her "Oh sure we could do that no problem or ya Psy if we know where to go. Though if you are going food shopping you should bring us all something nice to try when we all get back Hayate" she suggested.

Hayate laughed moving towards the door sensing now was a good a time as any to leave "Oh trust me you dont want the food Im going for. Most of it either tastes crap, tasteless or is an aquired taste. Anyway I will be around later. Don't plan on doing much" he replied before leaving.
Felina smiled getting to her feet "I guess its settled. We'll borrow Mr Yani and I sure dont mind delivering a few bottles around the place if they are light enough" she stated before helping Oassu up. "Well the heavier something is the harder it is to keep afloat and control of the direction its flowing in so Im not making any judgements until I see the load we have to carry" she explained.
