Apparently her father had been one to grant Zahara with a death list of a particular kind...that was disturbing to say the least now wasn't it? Though Piper was feeling a tad vindictive at this point. "So now that you've have admitted that you can love, you've suddenly become and expert therorist on all that it pretains to?" This wasn't easy for her and it looked like there weren't a lot of votes in favore or her side either. ANd thus she slapped a hand down on the table like Zahara previously had. "So first you tell me no and then you dangle it in front of me like a mouse by the tail in front of a cat? You act like I don't think about any of this..." Which was irritating. "Let's make it simple, time tables set aside seeing as it takes at least six months for said drugs to do anything to my system anyway, are you willing to help or do I need to do things on my own this time? If you think you're going to regret something, then just say no."

Piper was not listening to a word she said. Zahara was getting frustrated and angry and she felt like she was slamming her head against a brick wall. She was sick of it being thrown into her face that she was not an expert on love and that Piper was a gods be damned pro at it and she was chafing at the untenable position she'd been shoved into. Crossing her arms and glaring, she shook her head. "Fine then, Piper. No. No I won't help you kill yourself and make your son an orphan. No, find your own way." Turning on her heel, she stomped out of the kitchen and up to the nursery, picking her son up, accidentally jolting him out of reverie in the process.
He was highly disoriented and felt strange, clinging to his mother for a moment before he looked around sleepily. "Where we going?"
"We're going home and we aren't coming back anymore. Now where the hell is your father?! Dammit!" She realized instantly her mistake and when the child started to bawl, she tried to soothe him. Petting through his hair, she rocked him lightly as she continued to scour the halls, looking for him. "I'm sorry Kariel, we'll come back, I promise. Mommy's just really upset right now and she said something silly. You can play with Malikhai as much as you want, okay?" But the three year old wasn't listening to anything, just crying.

Being a little elf with no control over his reverie as of yet and being away of the things around him still while in it, unable to phase even that out, he made a noise as his mind pushed him out at the noise in the nursery. Or more accurately the yelling or Zahara and crying of Zykariel, even as they had left...well, he was confused.
And...it was as simple at that and dare Piper say it, she was stunned. Zahara pretty much just flat out refused, was insistant in the foolishness of it all and merely decided to wash her hands of the matter. Piper stood alone in the kitchen a moment, merely letting things and facts settle in. Closing her eyes a moment she ran her hands over her face in an attempt to keep herself just fine and dandy. Well...she guessed she had some research and then testing to do didn't she? At least she knew which things she mostly had bad reactions to.
And he looked away from Malik and over at the crying that echoed down the halls, seeing Zahara carrying said crying child. Well...that was more like seven minutes...apparently either someone had said something regretable, or they had come to an agreement...why did he feel that the latter wasn't the one that had been reached? "Why's he crying?"

Malik was with Sevilin, and shok his head lightly.
"Took them seven before blood is boiling. Still think I shouldn't smack her one upside the head?"
a slight smirk at Sevilin. they were both downstairs and yes, Malik was showing off new chainmail.
"you know if she throws down and says no Piper will try experimenting on herself whenever she gets a spare moment and neither of us and watch her all the time."
Malik touched his hand on Malvolence.
"Zahara got really pissed and told him you were going home and not coming back ever. and he was half in reverie and hasn't registered yet that Zahara was just venting."

She saw him and walked over, pushing the child into his arms, then turned on Malik, trying really hard not to grab that sword and slice him in two. "Shut up Malik! Get the ******** out of my head and stop thinking you know every damn thing. You and Piper want to get pregnant again and have ten kids and kill your wife in the process, fine. Just do it without me because I'm not helping anymore!" She spun around and stalked out of the door and to the stable, grabbing Faete a little too roughly so that he snapped at her and she cursed as his fangs bit down on her fingers. "OW! Fine! Turn against me too, join the ******** party." Thus she spun around for the second? third? she was losing count and started walking. She didn't know where she was going but right now, just didn't care either.
The yelling only made him cry all the harder as he clung to his father and grabbed his braid in comfort. "...daddy..." he began to wail. "I don't wanna go home if it means I can't see Khai no more..."

A look over at Sevilin.
"Sure I can't go slap her once? just across the cheek, mabe knock a little bit of sense into her or at least shock her into a semi-calm state for thirty seconds?"

"Stop wanting to hit things." But a nod to Malik as he emparted his own thoughts and perhaps dare call worries. "If that's the case, maybe you'll just have to invest in that trust you have in her. I mean, she does stupid things, both of them do, but they aren't that stupid." Or he hoped...young elves liked to test those bounds. And then tip information...to which Zahara had shown up in time to hear him.
Venting indeed and he merely blinked as he was shoved the child whom was all gone to pieces and Zahara promptly delivered her verdict and then stormed out. Wow. Shaking his head he turned his attention to his son, adusting his hold on him slightly and then rubbing at his back soothingly. "You can see Malikhai all you want, even if we go home." Zahara was probably saying things that she didnt' need to be. A raise of an eyebrow though to Malik. "I said no. This is where the technique comes into play if he continues. She doesn't like everyone going over her head with it comes to health things...pisses her off, and she needs to calm down.
"Rocks..."
That was all he had to say and she turned around, looking to her son who stood in the kitchen doorway, all disheveled from rolling around and such and she walked over, picking the little elf up. Great, she was doing it again...transmitting too much to sensitive minds and causing the child discomfort. How about she do that some more, maybe she'd eventually mess him up...now she was just being mean to herself. "I'm sorry baby...no more rocks, okay?" Plopping down in a chair and then the child in her lap, brushing his hair out of his face with her fingers as he cuddled up to her. What a mess.

Zahara kept right on walking until she ended up at the river and sank down against a tree before she glanced up, stood up, and began to climb it. Piper had taught her how to do that neat little trick and now they were fighting. She just didn't understand why Piper was adamant about this sort of thing. Why couldn't she just accept what she had been dealt, love the child she had and go on with life?
His wails died down to sniffles and then he nestled his head down on his father's shoulder, calming down quite a bit. "Okay." He was still disoriented and slightly upset but it was getting better. "Is Mommy coming with us?"

Malik looked over at Sevilin.
"well there's my cue. I'll talk to Zahara. no one knows Piper better than me here and since their in a spat right now I might as well go have a chat about this situation and Piper's feelings on it while she semi-calms down. not to mention Piper is handling Malikhai and you need to handle Zykariel at the moment."
and that was all it took, a shadowstep outside, and then one to the river. she hadn't gone very far anyway, and leaning against the tree she was sitting in.
"You know you didn't save anyone, and you didn't solve anything. But, since you seem to think her a lunatic for wanting more children, I'll be happy to enlighten you to a few reasons why. maybe they'll help you understand a bit better."
"When I was young, Cymarron...who you met at the wedding...butchered my family. and nearly me as well. Normally this doesn't do much to a drow, but circumstances had forced us to get closer for protection. not that it helped much. Piper, has been alone most of her life. using the guise of being male, going from one plane to another."
"On the plane we met on, Piper became somewhat of a surrogate aunt to many children. the kelves, cymarron's kits, Nailah's children. there was always a child around to make her feel welcome even when the adults weren't exactly friendly. Her choice of company did have that effect."
"So we both wanted families, as big as we can have, in my case. but she is only aiming for three at most, because she knows the limitations of her body. Drow complex or not, she doesn't want to even attempt past three."
Glancing up.
"and you know, if you refuse to help her, she'll do it herself. I can't stop her, nor can you or sevilin. all three of us can't watch her every second of the day. So which would you really prefer. swallowing your anger and your fear, and helping her...or waiting to see what happens when she eventually tries her own concoctions on herself."

"No. Three is too many. She can have Malikhai and that's it. I'm not helping." Malik's words meant neearly nothing to Zahara. It didn't matter that she had always had children around, she couldn't have that many of her own. "If she was surrogate to many children that weren't hers, she can be surrogate to mine and be happy." Crossing her arms she glanced down at him and scoffed, "Let me ask you Malik. Would you rather put the knife that kills your friend into his heart or let him search for the blade and attempt to find it then kill himself, when odds are he won't find it at all?"

"Bad analogy."
looking back up at her.
"you give her the right knife, or do you want her digging through a potential arsenal of ways to kill herself? She's not a alchemist. she'll miz lord knows what together to try and create something that works. she cna easily and potentially poison herself with an enormous amount of lethal combinations trying to find the one that you created that works."
then a small smirk.
"I have handed friends the knives that killed them countless times. I've commanded them in battles that saw thier deaths, I've handed the weapons to those that thought themselves broken beyond repair for the specific use of self-sacrifice to Innoruuk."
A shrug.
"I'm not going to force you. As much as I might want to...but I'm not about to let you get a moment of spite to do something to piper because I forced you into a situation you don't want a part of. So it seems like you really have two choices. you can potentially be the reason for her death in childbirth, or you can be the reason for her death because you refuse to help and she experiments with drugs on herself. and I will hold you responsible because you could have easily prevented it."
Okay he wasn't going to force her persay, but that's the way it was. Zahara could help her and they would know for sure she'd get pregnant...then they can worry about childbirth and have a year to prepare. Or Piper can sneak around, and try to create something of her own, and in all likelihood poison and kill herself.

"My mistake. I forgot I was talking to someone who was heartless to anyone outside of his own little circle." He obviously wanted her to do things his way and was thinking threats were going to force her to do so. They weren't going to work. "That's where you come in then, oh might Lord D'vinn." Hear the sarcasm just dripping? "Most of the ingredients that could potentially harm her abound in the Underdark. Keep her from going herb hunting and you solve your issue. I have a whole variety of things poisonous to her system at my house and that stash isn't open to her. Already made potions are mostly what can be found in your medicine room and if you keep that locked where's the problem? I will not be held responsible for her stupidity in this if she chooses to be a stubborn b***h and kill herself. I'm not helping her. She had her chance and she blew it."

Oh that was the wrong word to use. even with his promise to Sevilin...Malvolence was brandished in a split second and sliced right through that tree, and he literally kicked it hard enough to send it toppling.
"As that you obviously weren't listening, being to stupidly wrapped up in your personal anger issues...I can't prevent her from going out. I can't watch her every second of the day, and neither can you, and neither can sevilin. and you think a little lock is going to stop her? the woman is an accomplished thief. So what would you like? oh I suppose I can lock her in a windowless room for the rest of her natural life and let Malikhai in there for short periods of time to make sure she doesn't escape. Would you prefer that?"
his eyes glowed lightly with the essence of the blade's hunger, and he literally focused in on her body by sensing the blood in her.
"If she gets to the stable, her and Serino can be anywhere in a matter of moments. I suppose you want me to put serino in a bottle too to make sure she can't use him to flee? hmm?"
a slight growling sound.
"Quit letting your damned pride and little hurt feelings blind you. And for someone who owes that woman your life, and Zykariel's life, and the fact you ever got the chance to find a friend or know sevilin you think you'd help her in anything she asked. you're whole life, you entire existance, wouldn't have lasted beyond the first day you and I were in the same room had not Piper insisted...at least in this form. I'd have shipped you right back to your siblings if I had my way."
"I've tried being friendly, I've tried being objective with you, I've tried giving you all the reasons why so you might understand a bit better and realize your helping her is the lesser of what you consider two evils. but apparently your skull is too damned thick and your ears don't listen because the blue skinned elf you hate is saying the words. So now I'm telling you. You will help her have a second child, or I will use my lordly authority to make your life an absolute living hell until you do. I will keep you so busy you won't even get to talk to Zykariel or Sevilin even if I have to start eviserating and maiming people myself in my spare time to do it. and your horse? gone. I'll personally sell Faete to the highest bidder even if all they want him for is glue."
sheathing his sword.
"I will not have my wife potentially fatally poisoning herself because of your stubborness. I have backed you on every medical appraisal of her, and now it's your turn to back me. I told her what you said. and she agreed that after this second child she wasn't going to ask for your help in the matter again. and I will get your help this last time or so help me I will put you in a breaker room with so many spiders you'll thing the floors and walls are living things."

And a bad day just got worse. Zahara hadn't really been paying attention to her surroundings since she was in a tree and thought she was safe so when it toppled, she went right with it. Which brough the impact of the ground when she hit, knocking the breath right out of her and she was vaguely aware of a ringing in her ears. Gasping for a moment, she shoved the tree off her legs and shakily got to her feet. Glaring at Malik, she shook her head. He was talking about stealing everything she cherished away. "I said no and I meant no!" Thus she lifted bloody fingers to her mouth and whistled as loudly as she could. Faete came running and she leaped up on him as he raced up to her. "Let's go boy, I don't care where." They raced away, leaving Malik and everything else behind as they vanished into thin air. At some point she blinked hazily and was dimly aware of Faete's hooves smacking the ground. Brushing her hand through her hair, it came away bloody...she must have smacked her head against some rock. That would explain the throbbing. Her stomach churned once, her head felt like it was ready to explode, and she closed her eyes for just a moment and slid into the welcoming blackness.
Faete halted the moment his mistress slid to the ground and he walked back, nudging her still body. He neighed softly then snorted, still trying to get her to move. He licked at the fingers he'd bitten earlier, still bearing marks from his fangs and nudged her again. Still not moving. Vanishing he reappeared in front of Twilight, making a huge ruckus in the front yard.
Zykariel, who had just calmed down, felt that buzzing in his head and wrapped his arms around his father, shaking it. "Daddy...it hurts again...make it stop!"

Malik looked at Faete, and smirked.
"Calm down. Ramoth!"
Letting Ramoth show up. Faete was apparently young yet...didn't know how to handle what Malik knew was going to happen the second he saw her bonewhite hair bloody. she'd obviously lost enough blood to knock herself out, or got a concussion that put her down. one of the two.
"Go get her. Faete, show her where, she'll bring her back here."
Ramoth snorted lightly before trotting to Faete, giving that snort and 'let's go' shake of her head.
