Zadina frowned "I'm not going to be a little boy for long besides I happen to think Oassu is doing quite well considering his upbringing" he stated matter-of-factly "I expect Auntie Alusaadi expects you to whip him into shape in any case" he added to Felina.
Oassu frowned somewhat insulted that Hayate had implied he had missed something "Perhaps..." he muttered quietly examining the market again "Still I'd expect in the middle of a plague any doctor or medically experienced person would be kept busy...least I'd hope it'd be the case" he said changing the subject squeezing Felina's hand.
Jeckhart nodded "Well joining the clan means giving up a part of your life that you are trying to free yourself of. For sloth demons simply getting involved and being kept to an active vigorous routine is enough but greed demons place a heavy value on worldly possessions and so are expected to put extra effort and sacrifice when it comes to these things" he explained sighing once he saw he wasn't getting through to Seph.
Mari nodded in agreement with Hebal "Worst comes to worst Zadina I can attempt to teach you," she chimed in "Though I doubt anyone can match Hebal's skill in the kitchen" she whispered to Zadina making him giggle.

Alpha shrugged "I am pretty positive he will be indoors and if he isn't in one of his assistants probably will be" he assumed pushing his way through the market to the door. "We can always come back later if need be or go to the clinic instead also"
Seph paused shooing away those who dared to inquire if her chocobo was going up for sale "I guess it makes sense but heres a question What do you guys do for those with harder stuff to deal with for example pride and envy demons. Make pride demons stand on a stage and tell everyone they are bad at stuff?" shee guessed slighly curious.
Hebal gasped "Hey I totrally heard that Mari, we cant all be trained chefs" she answered back pretending to be offended. "Personally I think its nice the clan put so much effort into trying to be better people. You could probably learn a thing or two from them Sephy and maybe you will have a house you can walk around in instead of it just being overloaded with stuff" she teased.

Felina laughed and nodded her head "yep wants him all house trained and well spoken so he can at least make the family look good in public at the very least. You know what my mother is like, very hard to impress. Don't let her have her way with you Zadina" she giggled ruffling his hair "with a little luck she will be too busy with her new kid to hassle you"
Hayate smirked guessing Oassu still couldn't see the suspicious looking bottles being passed around and behind the stalls " I'm surprised still at how few people do try to help though. I thought the clan would be all over trying to do a good deed like fixing up this place considering how it wouldn't effect most of them demons" he pondered.

Zadina tilted his head thinking about it "I doubt I'll be troubled much by Auntie Alusaadi, she's always been really nice to me. We'll both need to be really wise in order to help out your little brother when he comes though" he mused "Elithana is probably the best to help with that though" he suggested fixing his hair.
Jeckhart hung his head slightly "The clan doesn't have enough resources to cover everywhere in the world. Little villages like this often escape our scout's notice in favour of bigger things. Sadly there's little we could do to fight this plague anyway." he explained to Hayate before turning to Seph "Well no, it's generally considered that by joining up with the clan they are already making a sacrifice by undergoing a change of life. For Greed Demons they just put so much faith in the material world that that's what's expected of them. Pride demons like myself are often given humbling and lowly jobs at first to help them break down their pride and understand the necessity of lower jobs." he said "As for envy demons, many of them are thieves or occasional hoarders so they are expected to give up those ways of life and the belongings that go with it" he explained tilting his head in surprise "What sort of things are they trading here?" he asked having noticed the small bottles being exchanged
Mari smiled petting Sophia gently as Hebal talked "You are right Hebal, though maybe I'll teach you how to cook well one day. Though is your house really so cluttered Seph? I'm sure we could all clean it one day if you wished" she offered moving alongside Chobi causing various traders to move aside spying Sophia.

Seph laughed and nodded "you are welcome to try sorting the place out though most of the stuff you try to get rid of will need selling properly as some of it is valuble clutter I have collected over the years. Most of it could go though since my prized stuff is in my bag I guess" she shrugged knocking on the door while Alpha was distracted.
Hebal nodded her head eagerly but quicly jumped upon hearing the clanging and banging coming from the other side of the door as if the knock had brought the place suddenly to life "Umm it sounds kinda busy inside Alpha... though ari remember how good the banana bread we made ages ago was? Can we do that again sometime?"

Felina covered her ears surprised at the sudden loud noise "Umm is it supposed to sound like that Alpha? Sounds like something just broke in there" she wondered removing her hands from her ears once she thought it was safe. "I guess Elithana would be on most things as until now she's been the one expected to rule after dad but she can come across as a little cold at times because of that. Plus she's not so good at dealing with the 'common' folks" she laughed.
Hayate raised his eyebrow seeing one or two passers by glance over then shrug the sound off "Apparently not that uncommon for the local elves dont seem to care much. Though if the clan were to ever take interest may I suggest securing the trade routes so if someone else wishes to send aid they can do so without being mugged on the way" he advised Jeckheart unsure if it would make him feel better.

Zadina frowned rubbing his ears, uncomfortable with the noise. "Perhaps he is a bit busy at the moment Captain. We could always return later on?" he suggested looking at Alpha nervously "Well then you shall just need to teach your little brother about common people in her place then Felina," he suggested looking back at his cousin.
Itaka scratched his head "It can't be that bad. Probably just dropped something, makes sense if the place would be busy anyway, what with the plague and all right now" he shrugged petting Chobi "We should probably keep Chobi out here anyway so you guys go ahead and catch up, wouldn't do to have us all crowding in anyway" he said
Oassu grinned "I know I have some people who could probably take that stuff off your hands Seph if you are looking to sell." he suggested "You'd probably be considered a hoarder I bet if it wasn't valuable things" he said crossing his arms while they waited.

Seph paused glancing around at the others on the strees ""Will think about that one Oassu. Anyway... um sure we can tie Chobi up though lets do it round the back so she's at lest out of sight" she decided gesturing for Itaka to follow her around the side of the building. "Do you not find it weird how people seem to be going around as normal despite the plague? Dont even think I have seen a single sick person yet" she whispered once they were away from the others,
Alpha shook his head "Oh she is a hoarder alright theres no denying that. I bet your only making that offer though so you get first dibs on the really good stuff to resell later" he jokingly told Oassu almost failing to hear the click of the door handle.
"Um.... hi there there strangers can I help you" came a nervous voice from the other side of the door. "Wait is that you dad? What are you doing here now of all times? I heard you were supposed to be in Yithra or something? Come in off the streets before you make a scene. Everyone else too theres plenty of room" the elf added quickly ushering them inside.
Alpha smirked "not that happy to see me I take it. Don't worry I'll behave better than last time kid. I just figured I would pay you a visit. The dragon festival is supposed to be family time afterall" he chuckled taking a seat in the makeshift lounge/waiting room that they were being guided into.
Hebal scratched her head surprised at the reaction "Hi there I'm Hebal nice to meet you" she politely stated before whispering to Mari "I don't like this place. It smells funny"
Psy let out a small laugh of discomfort "Oh the smell just isn't so bad usually. It's just I was uhh... cooking and the smell just sorted of blended in with... other things" he lied choosing to ignore Alpha's last comment.

Felina hesitated glancing around the room "Oh sorry I hope we didn't interrupt you eating or doing anything important. It's nice to meet you. I don't think i havee seen a demon taking on an elf form instead of a human form" she politely told Psy before leaning closer to Oassu. "Is it just me or is it a little frosty in here between Alpha and him" she whispered.
Hayate paused unconvinced by the excuse for the smell "We could always come back later if having dinner. Though I am curious as to what happened last time Alpha was here and I don't trust his story telling abilities" he remarked sitting down on one of the cushions.

Oassu raised an eyebrow sharing a look that said "I dunno" with Felina before waving to the elf "I'm Oassu, it's a pleasure to meet you." he said brightly "Seems Alpha's making the tour of the entire family, he's just been to visit Mu" he added.
Itaka nodded "It's certainly strange, was imagining a place much worse than this" he said as he followed Seph glancing back at the market "I just figured most of the sick people were staying indoors rather than out on the street, infection control and all that" he said dismissively while he tied Chobi to a post. "Why do you think something's up?" he asked laughing "Perhaps Psi is just really good at his job?" he joked.
Mari tutted seeing Psy had heard Hebal "Hebal don't be rude now, he is our host" she said gently before bowing "My name is Mari, I'm a friend of your fathers" she said politely before making a beckoning motion behind her as Ivy carried in Sophia and placed her in Mari's arms "This cute little ray of sunshine is Sophia and this little minx is Ivy" she added brightly gesturing to both. Ivy sniffed the air disapprovingly before flying over to Hebal and settling down between her ears.
Zadina also bowed politely "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance Mr Psy, my name is Zadina I'm Felina's little cousin," he explained looking around the room "Pardon me for asking but what was that loud noise before?" he enquired.
Jeckhart nodded his head politely as he entered "Hello there, I'm also accompanying your father right now. My name is Jeckhart, I'm a representative from the Clan of Light" he explained briefly taking the first opportunity to collapse into a chair in the waiting room and rub his legs.

Hebal shrugged "Oh ok my cooking usually smells like that too I guess. My name is Hebal and theres a couple more of us around the back tying up Chocobos. Met your sister too not long ago She was really nice and doing really well in the circus" she added trying to sound more friendly.
Seph shrugged "As much as I would like to say Psy is that good everytime I write to him hes always complaining that there isn't enough of this and that. And yeah the lack of sick people or signs of sickness is weird with the amount you hear about the plague around here. It just seems too normal" she mumbled.
Alpha shrugged "Well as far as I can remember all I did was get a little drunk and have my tail hanging out a little which isn't so bad as nobody saw beyond a couple of his friends. And you caught me Oassu, I can be sentimental and like to check up on my kids every now and then. Though I thought this place would be busier with people being sick and all" he added surprised the waiting room was empty
Psy paused overwhelmed by the sudden influx of introductions and questions "Well at the moment everyone who seems sick is dragged to the outskirts of town and into thee quarentine area. They won't let me near my clinic there as people feel its too much of a risk me being there in case I get infected so had to relocate my entire lab into a room in my house and send out deliveries. The way the locals are handling things is a pain in the a** and they are acting on paranoia" he sighed shuffling away slighly from Jeckhart and Sophia. "so what brings you guys here? The noise was nothing you need to worry about"
"Hey Psy I cleaned up downstairs though may I suggest you refrain from working while in your demon form. You dont need anymore holes in the floor" a surprisingly tall gria laughed flying into the room and around above the heads of the rest of the group. Nice to see you again Mr Estuskad. Still up to no good I take it"
Alpha shrugged "nice to see you too Mr Yalo. Still hiding out here to avoid national service I see" he retorted

Felina ducked surprised at thee sudden person flying just slightly above her head "Umm hi there sir" she politely greeted the gria surprised to see one in the desert at all. Oh so that explains the laid back atmosphere here if everyone else who is sick is separared. I guess that means they won't really want help from a white mage like myself?"
Hayate snickered watching the over excited gria fly about "Paranoia in the desert isn't new, every other thing is out to get you. We're just here for a couple of days to raid an antlion nest for one or two alchemy ingredients. Will be out of your hair in no time. In and out before Alpha has the chance to have a good drink may I add".

Oassu looked up at the Gria hovering above smirking at Psy "Guess it's probably not the most wieldy of forms if Alpha's is anything to go by" he said waving a quick greeting to the new person "Still seems more like they've shuffled people away out there to be forgotten about based on the way the town is acting like nothing is wrong" he added.
Mari frowned "It doesn't seem like an ideal situation no" she said petting Sophia while bowing to the newcomer "Still Alpha just wanted to come and visit you as he said" she explained to Psy "Aside from this business with the Antlion of course." she added.
Zadina tilted his head thinking over something as he watched the Gria hover around the room "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well. I take it you are Mr Psy's assistant?" he asked reaching over to pet Sophia.
Itaka nodded "Does seem off, but maybe Psy has some answers for you" he said yawning as he tied up Chobi "Still best we get moving, how are you holding up with the heat in any case?" he asked chuckling as he pinged the edge of Seph's shorts.

Seph groaned giving Chobi a small pat goodbye "Honestly I hate it and feel like I am roasting alive in this place and I look totaly ridiculous in these clothes don't I" she complained moving Itaka's hand away from her shorts. "how about youself? Enjoying the heat after weeks of us having below zero temperatures" she asked siding through the slightly ajar front door.
The gria nodded "I do the odd job now and then so I guess assistant would be a good word to use. And before you say it yes I am a male gria and no I am not actively breeding and no intent on doing so or receiving a lecture on the matter. That out the way welcome to the desert and hope your flight in was ok. CanI get you all something to drink while on my feet" he offered
Hebal smiled glad for the offer "Oooh yes please I would kill for the coldest water you have right now thank you Mr Yani. Did Alpha tell you about the antlion business by the way? The bad news is we are here on business the good news is we have dragon festival gifts for you too"
Alpha shook his head "We're here for a sand pearl mostly though theres a list of alchemy ingredients we are also looking for so if you had time if you could have a look and give us any idea as to where we would find them it would be much appreciated. Though lets not spoil the surprise just yet with the festival gifts Hebal" he chuckled.
Psy blinked unconvinced "no offence Hebal but considering the last gift off my dad was a box of contraceptives I am a little uneasy as to what I am getting this year though sure I guess if I can get some more medicine prepared I could take the time to look at the list though Im too busy realistically to help you with the pearl and..." he trailed off spotting Seph slip into the room. "Hey Sephy long time no see, this has to be the first time you have ever visited me out here though surely those clothes are no good for your skin" he greeted her with slight concern.

Hayate smirked "Well I guess I'll have the coolest thing you have then and not ask anymore on the male gria thing. Im guessing I am not the only one to have wondered" he shrugged leaning back into the more shady spot. "This time you will like your gift better I am sure"
Felina nodded her head in agreement with Oassu "Well its very easy to sweep your problems under a rug than try to deal with them unfortunately. The good news is you can rest easy for at least a while. My father has kindly spared you some of the resources Yithra can supply. We have a large cargo of medicines and a handful of vaccines also. Just need to find the right time to safely deliver them"
