Yeah. Except I got a bit too drunk on the after party. The chocolate/banana cake flavoured wedding cake was nice, though the icing tasted like some sweetened mud or something.

Funny how food never taste quite as nice after partial digestion!
Oh it does sound yummy! Most of the icing tends to taste horrible because they use it like plaster and layer it on to make the decorations stick, bleugh.

Yeah. It's disappointing. It looks like they've put a lot of effort into making it look pretty, and it doesn't taste that good either (the icing and decorations). But it's still a shame to waste food.

True but have you tried eating one of those fake flowers they use on cakes? It's just so gross! At least the cake under the icing tasted nice, sometimes they make it a fruitcake which isn't half as nice as chocolate and banana.

Pretty and awful (taste), but still edible. The bride and the groom agreed on the flavour of the cake when they ordered it. Though, the parents insisted on fruitcake flavour. Moral of the story? Choose your own flavour for the wedding cake, and don't let your parents handle it unsupervised.
