Hey everyone and welcome to some new members! We haven't really had any new Hufflepuffs in a long while!
Don't worry about not knowing how things work right away, I think we all went through that. razz Just go to the links Gerp posted and read through what they all say and that will help a lot. After that I suggest going through other stickies and announcements that will give you extra information about what we're all about.
If you have any questions about anything just post in here and one of us oldies will most likely be able to answer it.
Things are going kind of slow lately mostly because it's summer time and people have summer jobs and are on vacation. But we often have lots of contests going on and there's always a chance you could win a really great prize.
Glad to hear your grandma wasn't affected by the stroke. That's very lucky. smile

Hello everyone! I'm Angels_can_fly2, if you couldn't tell by my username. Just call me Angel, if you talk to me, though. =D I didn't really expect to be in this house, but I'm glad to be here all the same. =D I'm still getting used to the place, so if I have any questions, I'll be sure to ask here. gerp91 *POP*Hello Renesmee!!! Welcome to Hufflepuff!!!!!!!!!! My Grandma is out of the hospital now and she is back to normal. They think she might have had a slight stroke, but it hasn't affected her at all. I am sorry to hear about your dad's friend Grey. And I know how real life takes over. I have an Anime convention I am going to this weekend and I haven't even started my cosplay yet and then next week and I am going to New Orleans for a big church thing and then I have my 18th birthday and then not long after college starts and I won't have much free time then because of Freshman orientation. *POP* Thanks for welcoming me gerp! By the way you can call me Cali. Even though I don't know the whole story I'm happy to hear that your grandmother is out of the hospital.

Welcome Angel. We are glad that you were put into our wonderful house of Hufflepuff!!!!
Sorry for the little absence. I have beenr eally busy the last several days and I will continue to be busy for a while because of trips that are coming up.

Hi everyone, I'm just dropping by. Nice to see some new Huffle's and some old ones coming back. I hope everyone is doing well and congrats to Grey on Prefect. As for me my real life is not going so well. sweatdrop My mental job, has my brain running 24-7 trying to work out problems, while my physical job has my back and legs screaming. I'm exhausted. But such is life. One a lighter note I went to see the Half-Blooded Prince and was it just me or was this movie rather lacking? It was okay but it just didn't have that 'magic' to it... Oh well. I'll be on again. I hope everyone is doing well. Cheers.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am going to be gone from Tuesday until next Monday (July 21-27) for a church convention in New Orleans. I doubt that I will have any time or any place to get on the computer.

Hey guys. Sorry I'm never active anymore. My job is going horribly and it's screwing up my sleep pattern so badly I'm not sleeping at all and also our internet wasn't working for over a week, so that doesn't help either lol.
Welcome to our new members!
If you need any help feel free to ask questions in here. A good idea would be to look around the announcements and stickies to try and get a feel for how this place works. After that I'd suggest to play in some of our post games and give your thoughts on some of our discussions.
Also, Cyanide, I LOVE YOUR SIGGY! I love Doctor Who, I actually just watched a marathon yesterday lol.

Hi Cy and Angel! I've been looking for work, so I haven't been on much. Today I have a temp of 100.2ยบ F so I'm home. Gonna put on some DVDs and rest. Anyway, I notice I'm the only Hufflepuff in the Summer Banner contest, so if you like the one I did, please vote! I have 3 votes now, there is one with 4 and one with 5.
Did everyone like the HBP movie? I was disappointed Bill and Fleur weren't shown, and the battle, so everyone could be truly horrified by Fenrir. People who haven't read the book don't even know he's a werewolf!

Welcome new Puffles!!!
I had fun in New Orleans and the people there are AMAZING!!! If you EVER have a chance to go, go, because people are sooooo nice. I was there for a Lutheran Youth gathering and there were 37,000 of us there and we all did a service project of some kind. It was calculated that it would take 1 person, working 4 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 98 years to do what we did in 3 days. Citizens of New Orleans would stop and give us free drinks and cheer for us and the whole she-bang!
All I would say is that if you aren't near New Orleans, fly, because taking a bus stinks big time. I live in Kansas and it was a 20 hour bus ride and you guys have no ideo how good it feels to be sleeping in my own bed tonight and not a stupid bus.
How is everyone else? I see that a lot of people are busy.

Welcome back! I've never been to New Orleans! I hear the people there are really nice and the food is great!
There is a new contest going which is perfect for Hufflepuffs!
It's post a welcome and some helpful advice to new comers in the Great Hall. Each person's first post is 5 points, and then there will be a raffle for bigger prizes - you can read about it in the "Read Me First" Announcement.
Thanks to everyone who voted for me in the Summer Banner contest. Thanks to you, Hufflepuff got another 5 points - I came in 2nd!
I re-did the saying, wish I'd thought of it earlier!
Where is everyone spending their summer? I'm with my aunt in San Diego which is fun. She doesn't have kids, but we like the same books and movies. And her computer is way faster than my old one.
